Here is the trailer:

School Spirits season 3 finally tackles some of the big questions fans have had since the beginning while expanding the existing mystery in the process. Is season 3 worthy of YOUR next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

A promising start to the new season!

I have to say that this season is already off to a very strong start. Sure, we’re uncovering A LOT, but it looks like we’re finally going to learn what’s going on here (at least a little bit) rather than dragging things out too much. There is a darker and more mature tone to this season, but it’s still balanced well with revealing new layers about some of our beloved characters (alive and dead).

I really like where this is going and I can’t wait to find out more!

This mystery is so intriguing and the show does such a great job of hooking the audience with thought-provoking cliffhangers.

New player in town!

I was super excited to see THE Jennifer Tilly guest starring this season. I’m not sure how big of a role she will play, but after watching the first three episodes, it’s clear she’s one to watch!

I also appreciate that it looks like we’re taking enough time to give every character a chance to shine. We have so many incredible characters on this show and it looks like the writers are going to devote enough time to each and every one of them rather than just relying on everything going on with Maddie.

The Cons:

Images courtesy of Paramount+

A little jam-packed!

It wasn’t a major con for me, but wow did they overstuff the first three episodes. I guess there’s only a limited amount of time to get to everything, but I felt a little exhausted after watching them. There is so much to keep track of. I don’t mind because I enjoy the show, but this isn’t a show you can tune in and out of. You need to pay attention to every little detail, but I’m up to the challenge!

So am I in or out?

I’m in!!!

School Spirits season 3 is already delivering with plenty of shocking and heartwarming moments. This show has flown under the radar, but it really captures the vibe of the YA supernatural shows from the 90’s and I hope more people watch it because it’s fantastic!

Spoiler-Free Review of “Wayward” on Netflix: An Addicting Mystery!

*This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!*

“See who you really are…”

WAYWARD premiered on September 25th 2025 on Netflix with all eight episodes available to stream now. The Canadian mystery thriller limited series stars Mae Martin, Toni Collette, Sarah Gadon, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and Sydney Topliffe. Each episode runs for approximately 42-47 minutes.

A cop moves into a small town and comes across a school for troubled teens that may be hiding some horrifying secrets linked to his wife’s past.
Here is the trailer:

WAYWARD is engrossing and complex, luring the audience into a dark mystery worth exploring. Does it do enough to be worthy of your next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

A mystery that lures you in.

This series was so addicting right from the very first episode! I was immediately pulled in and I thought the mystery was eerie, well-layered, and just the right amount of strange. I had so many questions and was desperate to find out the answers, which had me eagerly pressing play at the end of each episode.

Terrific cast!

Toni Collette is no stranger to this genre and she DELIVERED and then some! I thought she was fantastic in this. The rest of the cast did a great job as well and it was wonderful seeing Chucky’s Alyvia Alyn Lind in this. I hope to see her in more in the future!

On a side note, I absolutely loved the music in this!

The Cons:

Goes off the rails a few times…

Don’t get me wrong…I love weird thrillers like this, but I did feel like we veered off the main plot on more than one occasion. There were some scenes that seemed like they were placed intentionally to make a statement, rather than to advance the plot along.

I also thought the series started out stronger than it finished. I was along for the entire ride and I watched this series all in one day, but the ending left me with some unanswered questions. I was expecting something a little bit more shocking and while we grazed the surface here, it didn’t fully stick the landing for me personally.

I still enjoyed it though!

So am I in or out?

I’m in!!!

WAYWARD is wacky and unhinged with an eerie mystery at the center.

I do think that the series lost its way a few times, but I found this one to be very easy to binge-watch, which is my kind of show!

I hope you enjoyed the review and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on WAYWARD in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Spoiler-Free Review of “School Spirits” Season 2 on Paramount+: Off to a Promising Start!

**This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!**

“I know what happened to me…”

School Spirits (season 2) released on January 30th 2025 on Paramount+ with the first three episodes available to stream now. The remaining five episodes will air weekly. The YA supernatural mystery series stars Peyton List, Kiara Pichardo, Kristian Flores, and Spencer MacPherson. Each episode runs for approximately 44-48 minutes.

Here is the trailer:

School Spirits season 2 branches out into a layered mystery leading to more questions about what’s really going on with Maddie. Is season 2 worthy of YOUR next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Images courtesy of Paramount+

New and existing characters get a chance to shine.

I love that season 2 is exploring more story-lines. We have so many great characters in this one, but season 1 only had so much time to devote to them, focusing more on the core mystery surrounding Maddie.

I think that season 2 is providing us with a great balance this time around, giving us enough layers and content to work with while still focusing on this captivating mystery.

The first three episodes were really strong and I’m looking forward to finding out more as soon as possible!

Images courtesy of Paramount+

A mystery that keeps getting better and better!

That cliffhanger at the end of season 1 sold me on this show for good and I was so excited that it got picked up for a second season. I was slightly worried that the mystery would fall off after that major reveal last season, but so far I am loving the way things are unfolding.

Even though we know what’s going on now, there’s still so much left to discover and the first three episodes of season 2 already presented us with a lot to wrap our minds around.

More please!

The Cons:

Images courtesy of Paramount+

Overstuffed first episode.

Don’t get me wrong…it was fantastic, but they really jam-packed in a lot and I probably needed to do a full re-watch of season 1 to feel caught up to speed.

Episodes 2 and 3 found their way seamlessly and both had better pacing, but be prepared to be thrown right back into things.

You’ll definitely need to watch the recap to keep up.

So am I in or out?

I’m in!!!

School Spirits season 2 hooks us once again with an addicting mystery and fantastic characters to root for.

School Spirits has quickly become one of my new favorite shows and so far it hasn’t disappointed yet! I can’t wait to watch the rest of the episodes.

Spoiler-Free Review of “Harlan Coben’s Shelter” on Prime Video: An Addicting Mystery with Layers!

*This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!*

“I just want answers…”

Harlan Coben’s Shelter premiered on Prime Video on August 18th 2023 with the first three episodes available now. There will be eight episodes in total that will air weekly. The YA mystery thriller series stars Jaden Michael, Constance Zimmer, Sage Linder, and Adrian Greensmith. Each episode runs for approximately 45-55 minutes.

After undergoing a family trauma, Mickey moves in with his aunt in New Jersey and adjusts to his new life. Only things get complicated when he passes by a creepy house and an old woman tells him a secret that will alter his life forever, as he tries to piece together the truth with his new group of friends.

Here is the trailer:

Shelter is Harlan Coben’s first YA series adapted for television, featuring an intriguing mystery with enough moving pieces to keep you coming back for more. Is it worthy of YOUR next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Images courtesy of Prime Video

Characters to root for!

I really like all of the characters so far, but especially this group shown above. In a way, this show has similar vibes to School Spirits and Stranger Things, but it’s got its own feel and mystery. It took me an episode or so to warm up to these characters, but now I can’t wait to see what they do next and I honestly care about what happens to them.

Images courtesy of Prime Video

A mystery that hooks you from the start.

I love the eerie vibe to this series. I’m always hooked by Harlan Coben mysteries, but this one is really interesting and I think it has a lot of potential already. We have a lot of moving pieces that will hopefully pay off in the end. I’ve got some working theories already and I can’t wait to see how the rest of this unfolds.

Either way…I’m intrigued and ready for more.

The Cons:

Images courtesy of Prime Video

The crazy subplots are back.

This should come as no surprise for a Harlan Coben series. You need to pay attention to these series because you’ll miss some minor detail that will make way more sense by the time you get to the end.

That being said, the first episode felt a bit overwhelming, chaotic, and slightly messy, but I think it found its way by the time we got to episode two. So stick around if you’re feeling this way initially.

Some of the dialogue is also a bit generic and cliché, but the actors are making the most of it.

I’m also not sure how I feel about the weekly episode approach. I’m used to these addicting series being on Netflix, where you can binge-watch the entire thing. Luckily we got three episodes at once for the release, but I wish all of them were available now.

So am I in or out?

I’m in!!!

The first YA Harlan Coben streaming series doesn’t disappoint!

Shelter is a consuming watch that already has me anxiously waiting for more episodes to drop.

Spoiler-Free Review of “Into the Deep” on Demand: Modern day “Dead Calm” has some Potential

*This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!*

“Welcome aboard…”

Into the Deep released on demand on August 26th 2022. The erotic thriller film stars Ella Rae-Smith, Matthew Daddario, and Jessica Alexander. It runs for approximately 90 minutes.

Jess meets a handsome stranger and agrees to spend the evening on his boat, but things take a dangerous turn when she wakes up with him in the middle of the ocean as a stranger comes onboard.

Here is the trailer:

Into the Deep possesses the formula to become a solid guilty pleasure thriller, but does it do enough to earn a watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Images courtesy of Sky Cinema

Addicting premise.

This movie had a fantastic setting and a chilling and addicting premise. I was all in and ready to see what horrific things would unfold. There’s just something so frightening about being trapped in the middle of nowhere. Dead Calm nailed that feeling many years ago and I really liked that this film channeled that vibe.

A mystery that kept me guessing.

I honestly couldn’t figure out who was lying and I thought this worked to the film’s advantage. There was evidence against all parties involved, but the audience really had to make their own guesses, which made this more of an involved watch. I was pulled in the entire time and I had to know what would happen next.

The Cons:

Images courtesy of Sky Cinema

Needed some more suspense built in…

Even though I really enjoyed the mystery, I wanted some more intense moments built in to really keep me on the edge of my seat. We had some sprinkles of it toward the end, but I kind of wanted to feel my heart beat a little more during this one.

I also thought that Jess made some really poor decisions and I wanted the trauma involving her past to be explored just a little bit more.

So am I in or out?

Images courtesy of Sky Cinema

I’m in about 75 percent…

If you’re looking for a weekend guilty pleasure thriller, this one checks off plenty of boxes. I really liked the mystery, but I just wanted a few more outrageous and thrilling moments to really seal the deal.

I hope you enjoyed the review and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Into the Deep in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Spoiler-Free Review of “Hit & Run” on Netflix: Engrossing Binge-Watch!

*This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!*

“Sometimes the truth just ends up causing more pain…”

Hit & Run premiered on Netflix on August 6th 2021. The Israeli-English series features nine episodes available to stream now. It stars Lior Raz, Sanaa Lathan, Kaelen Ohm, Moran Rosenblatt and Gregg Henry. Each episode runs for approximately 45-50 minutes.

After a man’s wife is killed in a hit and run accident in Tel Aviv, he suspects that her death may not have been an accident after all, leading him to New York City to discover the dangerous truth.

Here is the trailer:

Hit & Run immediately gives off a Harlan Coben-esque vibe with a touch of Taken mixed in, making it difficult to step away from the screen. Does it do enough to find its own identity? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Images courtesy of Netflix

Kick-ass action!

If you love movies like Taken, you will feel right at home with this one. Lior Raz is beyond brilliant as Segev. I was on the edge of my seat every single time he was on screen. I am also a huge fan of Sanaa Lathan and I thought she played her part extremely well.

While the show is centered around an addicting mystery of its own, the fight scenes and action really helped build up momentum at the center of the plot, which worked in the show’s favor.

Images courtesy of Netflix

The change of scenery worked.

The beginning of the series takes place in Tel Aviv. We got plenty of set-up and an initial horrific crime to hook us right from the start, but I really liked that this series decided to change things up and head to New York City. There was plenty going on in Tel Aviv, but I thought it really ramped up the mystery and brought more characters into play without ever skipping a beat.

Binge-watch friendly.

Each episode did enough to draw you in for more. Even though some episodes were longer than others, I kept finding myself pressing play immediately because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. We got bits and pieces of the puzzle with each episode and while there were some side plot-lines going on, they weren’t as confusing or as involved as some of the ones we see in the Harlan Coben mysteries.

The Cons:

Images courtesy of Netflix

Slow moving at first.

Don’t get me wrong, the first episode starts off with a bang, but some of the initial set-up in the first two episodes dragged a little bit for me. That being said, once I got to episode three, I was completely hooked and the pacing changed drastically.

So am I in or out?

Images courtesy of Netflix

I’m in 100 percent!

Hit & Run is beyond worthy of your next binge-watch. This show was so addicting in all the right ways. That cliffhanger left me wanting more so I hope we get to see a season two, but wow what a show!

If you enjoy Taken, The Innocent, and Who Killed Sara, you are in for a real treat! While there were some similarities, this show found its own groove and took us on a wild ride without holding back.

I hope you enjoyed the review and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Hit & Run in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!
