Ranking the top 5 moments from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” season 14 episode 8: “The Algorithm”

Happy Friday TV fans!  After watching FXX network’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 8, we learned that sometimes we need to rely on a mathematical non emotional answer to find out what to do next, but perhaps the gang is over thinking it.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In Wednesday night’s episode, “Paddy’s Has a Jumper,” the gang’s chance at getting Fish and Chips is interrupted by a potential jumper on their roof, which leads to a debate on whether or not they should get involved.  Meanwhile, Frank crosses paths with a familiar face, and Cricket adds in his two cents.

My top 5 moments from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 8 are:

5

“What we need is an algorithm.”

After finding out that a man named Brian O’Brien is about to jump off the roof of Paddy’s Pub, the gang wonders if they should really get involved.  Mac (Ronald McDonald) claims that he would kill himself too with a name like that, but it looks like Dennis really wants to create an accurate algorithm that will tell them what to do next.

The Algorithm:

Could He?

+

Would He?

+

Should We?

=

Answer!

Seems simple enough.  Let’s see how this goes.

4

“Where did you get that egg?”

Charlie seems super enthusiastic about getting his point across and he even decides to use his very own diorama with a hard boiled egg to determine if Brian O’Brien would actually die from falling off of the building.

Charlie thinks that he will probably get a broken leg based on the demonstration, but Dennis reminds him that perhaps a hard boiled egg is not an accurate representation of the human head.

Dee decides to eat the egg and we learn that Charlie apparently took it out of a hole somewhere, so she may be eating a rat’s egg right now…

3

“Why the hell are you wasting a perfectly good casaba melon?”

Apparently Frank keeps one in a safe for personal needs, but the gang decides that this should give them a better indication of whether or not Brian O’Brien would fall and die.  Cricket shows up and seems to really be more interested in obtaining the casaba melon, but he does weigh in on the conversation.

Dennis reminds everyone that sometimes it’s more about how someone falls, thinking of Maureen Ponderosa’s death, as the gang hilariously reminds him that he pushed her…

2

“I would love to interview you!”

Meanwhile, Frank is focused on getting his melon back and decides to say that he is Brian O’Brien’s father, which gets him an interview with…

Jackie Denardo!

Speaking of melons…

Cue the music!

The lovely and full breasted Jackie Denardo is back, played by Jessica Collins.  Jackie Denardo has appeared in episodes:  The Storm of the Century (Season 7, episode 6) and The Gang Saves the Day (Season 9, episode 6).

Dennis has quite the crush on her and the same music accompanied her when he first crossed paths with her in the store, which led to an extremely awkward conversation between them.

Frank realizes that he now has the opportunity to rub this in Dennis’s face, as he continues to pretend to be the jumper’s father to get some screen time.

1

“We could become a hot spot for jumpers.”

Toward the end of the episode, the gang realizes that the jumper dying might actually be good for business, realizing that they can capitalize on it.  Cricket offers to push him, but the gang isn’t too crazy about calling it murder.

Before they can execute the plan, Brian O’Brien comes down from the roof to reunite with his father, but is more than disappointed when he comes face-to-face with Frank.

The gang gets their Fish and Chips and it’s back to their television show, which they now decide that they don’t really like anyway and perhaps the algorithm was wrong after all…

Ranking the top 5 moments from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” season 14 episode 7: “The Gang Solves Global Warming”

Happy Friday TV fans!  After watching FXX network’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 7, we learned that “when opinions meet facts, that’s when you get truth.”  Well maybe not, Mac, but we do learn how to beat the heat Sunny style!  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In Wednesday night’s episode, “The Gang Solves Global Warming,” there is a major heat wave in Philadelphia and the gang attempts to keep cool while also protecting the environment.  I’m not so sure about some of their methods, but they keep the laughs coming along with some great heat wave music!  My top 5 moments from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 7 are:

5

“We’re actually helping our business and the environment.”

After hearing a warning on the news to keep the temperature at 76 degrees to conserve energy, the gang decides to keep the AC at Paddy’s Pub much cooler to attract more customers.  They actually bring in quite the crowd, but I’m not sure that they can say that this is also good for the environment.

Now that they have a lot of people inside, they will need to make sure they maintain the peace, but not everything goes according to plan when resources start running low…

4

“Since you want to walk the walk, why don’t you go get the ice?”

Dee is super excited to be sporting her Eco friendly shoes and is recording an Insta Story about “walking the walk.”  The gang is not sure who would ever watch this, but they tell Dee to head out to get some ice.

Dee is ready to record the journey with Charlie, which absolutely captured my attention, since Dee and Charlie episodes always make me laugh.  Let’s see how this goes…

3

“Global warming is the f*cking best!”

Frank and Dennis continue to lower the temperature at the bar, hoping to see some nips, but things get a little bit complicated when some of the workers from the fish factory show up.

After everyone starts dancing in their underwear, Frank is beyond thrilled and is not afraid to shout out his enthusiasm for global warming…

It’s getting hot in here for sure!

2

“I don’t want to wear trash on my head…”

This episode was absolutely hilarious and the Dee and Charlie moments were really outrageous.  Charlie continues to call out “cut” and “stop” while recording Dee’s Insta Story and their quest to go get ice is foiled several times, but they are not about to give up just yet.

After a failed attempt at a Ride Share, Dee is losing her patience, but Charlie is improvising his own Eco friendly fashion with a garbage bag and a pizza hat for shade. Charlie reminds Dee that they should just take the bus, as we get to witness Dee freaking out on the bus with the same bus rider from Season 4, Episode 6 (Mac & Charlie Die, Part 2)!

Here’s the original clip:

“I hate the bus!”

Once again, Sunny does an amazing job of bringing us some fun nostalgia without hitting us over the head with it. I loved this scene!

1

“God dammit, Charlie!”

At the end of the episode, Dee and Charlie finally show up and Dee is ready to show off her Insta Story, except Charlie literally just filmed Dee freaking out and yelling at people, which was the greatest thing ever.

Dee continues to yell, “Don’t say cut” at Charlie, which made the dynamic between these two even more hilarious.

This was probably my favorite episode of the new season so far and I can’t wait to see what they do next!

If you enjoyed some of the heat wave appropriate music in this episode, here are some of my highlights. Enjoy!

Glenn Frey – The Heat Is On (From “Beverly Hills Cop” Soundtrack)

Hot Blooded – Foreigner

Nelly – Hot In Herre (Official Music Video)

Ranking the top 5 moments from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” season 14 episode 5: “The Gang Texts”

Happy Saturday TV fans!  After watching the FXX network’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 5, we learned that it’s important for the gang to be on the same page, but things get complicated when they decide to try out group texting at the zoo.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In Wednesday night’s episode, “The Gang Texts,” the gang goes to the zoo, but everyone has their own agenda for the day.  Charlie and Mac want to go see the Meerkats and Dennis insists on seeing a lion feeding, so they decide to keep track of one another with a harmless group text.  My top 5 moments from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 5 are:

5

“He’s stuck behind a woman driver and he wants to shoot himself.”

I mean, clearly that’s obvious from Frank’s use of emojis, which Charlie seems to have a talent for deciphering, but Mac has a lot more trouble keeping up with the group text.  Even though the gang wants to stick together at the zoo, it looks like they are going to all split up for now.  This should go well…

4

“Too late, Dee!”

“She sucks!”  Dee actually really tries to throw in some harmless insults along the way, but her text is always just a minute too late.  Dennis reminds her that speed is important in a comedy text, but Dee doesn’t give up and perhaps she will get the hang of it before it’s too late.  You got this, Dee!

3

“You’re dead to him.”

Mac is worried that Dennis is mad at him and decides to send him a block of text, asking if Dennis is ignoring him.  Dennis quickly responds with “K,” but Mac finds out that Dennis didn’t even read the text and just responded that way because he doesn’t care.  Dennis is really preoccupied with seeing the “ducking lion” after all.  Stupid auto correct!

2

“This is all fine…”

Mac is convinced that he has found a way to make things up to Dennis, claiming that he overheard someone say that they are going to sacrifice a goat to the lion.  Dennis thinks this is definitely some worthy “Jurassic Park shit” and seems up for it.  Only they wind up at the petting zoo and it’s clear that Mac has no idea what he is talking about.  It’s OK because Dennis says, “This is all fine…”

1

“The circle of life!”

Just when it seems like all hope is lost, the gang winds up together at the Meerkat display.  They each pop up in different bubbles while The Lion King’s “Circle of Life” plays in the background, which was probably the best part of the episode.

Dee is also finally able to come in the clutch with her text and it seems like the gang is happy again.  Maybe they should stick to face-to-face interactions for a while though…

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” season 14 episode 4: “The Gang Chokes”

Happy Saturday TV fans!  After watching the FXX network’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 4, we learned that sometimes it may seem like living life on the edge is worth it, but has the gang gone too far here chasing the rush?  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In Wednesday night’s episode, “The Gang Chokes,” the gang goes out to dinner, but a quiet night quickly turns deadly, as a familiar hero shows up to save the day.  My top 5 moments from the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 4 are:

5

“Oh god…you people!”

Our favorite waiter from Guigino’s is back at a different restaurant and surprisingly the gang actually remembers him this time.  Now they claim that they can’t get away from him, which was beyond hysterical, bringing us some nostalgia from one of my favorite episodes of all time:  “The Gang Dines Out.”  I love how Mac even wears the exact same outfit with his slicked hair, which makes you wonder if he always wears this when they go out.

4

“I think he’s choking.”

Everything quickly gets out of hand when Frank starts choking; only the gang decides to all stare at him.  No one moves and it’s up to the waiter to save Frank’s life, while the gang watches with fascination.  Poor Frank!

3

“It blew my mind!”

After the incident, it clearly gets the gang thinking. Charlie shows up with an empty box of pizza at Mac and Dennis’s apartment, which is a nice gesture!  It’s after midnight and Dennis doesn’t want to hear about it, but Dee shows up too, claiming that she is now obsessed with getting a rush from nearly dying.  Dennis just wants to go to bed and Dee hilariously asks him if he’s 40 and he reminds her that they are the same age.  No matter what age they are, the laughs keep coming!

2

“What the hell are you doing in my home?”

Our favorite waiter gets some more screen time when Frank decides to break into his home, explaining that “it’s you and me against the world.”  Frank is grateful that the waiter saved his life and now he wants to spend some quality time together, but he has some interesting and creative ideas when it comes to getting rid of the waiter’s sick mother.  Frank taps into the waiter’s dream of going back to pilot school and it looks like this may be the start of a weird friendship, but things quickly go south for these two.

1

“I’ll always save you from now on!”

Mac reveals that he just wants Dennis to depend on him, as we learn that he has been poisoning him with an interesting shake mixed with pizza and soda.  Dee tells Mac that they will need to poison Dennis for real so that they can save his life, but they decide to try and poison Frank so they can make things right.

The plan doesn’t work out so well; however, as Dee ends up taking the poison herself.  The waiter is forced to save her life now as well and Dee wakes up explaining that it was “just lights out” and she no longer wants to chase the rush.

This was the first episode of season 14 that really had me laughing out loud.  I loved that the episode started off with some fun nostalgia, but then branched off into something completely different.  It’s been a while since I’ve laughed out loud at several parts and I’m hoping this trend continues!  Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” season 14 episode 3: “Dee Day”

Happy Saturday TV fans!  After watching the FXX network’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 3, we were reminded that “preparation is the key to victory,” but what happens when the plan is thrown off by…Dee Day?  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In Wednesday night’s episode, “Dee Day,” it’s finally Dee’s turn, as she gets a full day devoted to her.  Only the gang isn’t necessarily too thrilled about this, as they are plotting another scheme that requires their full attention.  My top 5 moments from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 3 are:

5

“Who cares about her feelings?”

If you are a Sunny fan, then you will remember “Mac Day” (season 9, episode 5), when the gang was forced to go through an entire day doing whatever Mac wanted to do.  Well, the tables have now turned and it is Dee’s turn to shine, but everyone seems ready to forget a day devoted to Dee, but she’s still prepared to make it work no matter what.

As soon as Dee begins, she wants to talk about her feelings and of course, the gang decides to tune her out, focusing in on their own inner monologues.  After all, it’s not like they get to yell into the “Scream Pillow” anymore.

4

“Her characters suck!”

Dee hilariously decides to force Dennis, Charlie, Mac, and Frank to dress up as some of her former characters, which was actually really funny, but things get a little weird when they wind up on stage and she forces Charlie and Dennis to kiss.  Mac clearly feels left out, but when Frank gets on stage, he steals the show, finally releasing the clams.  Leave it to Frank to make something weird even weirder.

3

“I want to scream Bird!”

The gang is not allowed to make fun of Dee during Dee Day and she decides to take them all out bird watching.  Of course this makes the gang want to scream out “Bird” even more, but they are forced to swallow down their insults.  Keep it going, Dee!

2

“That’s what his soul looks like.”

Dee doesn’t hold anything back and explains that she wants Dennis to remove his make-up, but things get really interesting when Dennis walks in and looks like a completely different person.  Dennis is forced to kick game to a lady with this appearance and it clearly is a nightmare for him.  The gang points out that his pec has even been deflated, suggesting that perhaps the Golden God isn’t really that much of a god underneath all the lies and deception.

1

“You just insulted me on Dee Day.”

After the gang reveals that their ultimate plan was a success, caring more about getting a public urination act to pass by distracting the one female member of the board, Dee tries to explain that she is actually the one who executed everything, but of course they do not want to listen.

When the clock goes off, they start insulting Dee, but she has outsmarted them, turning back the clock, which means that they will be forced to endure another Dee Day and I have to say that they deserve it.  Go Dee!

Overall, this was another fun throwback to a fan favorite episode, but I’m still waiting for some crazy laugh out loud moments.  Hopefully we will get a Charlie centric episode soon!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” season 14 episode 2: “Thunder Gun 4: Maximum Cool”

Happy Friday TV fans!  After watching the FXX network’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 2, all you really need to remember is “No hesitation.  No surrender.  No man left behind!”  Well, unless you are Charlie and you think that perhaps you really did leave someone behind.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In Wednesday night’s episode, “Thunder Gun 4:  Maximum Cool,” the gang is selected for a focus group, as they prepare to view a new movie coming out.  Initially the gang seems skeptical, but once they see the title…all bets are off.  My top 5 moments from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 2 are:

5

“You’ve chosen wisely.”

In the beginning of the episode, the gang sits down for a movie screening, as they have been randomly selected to take part in a focus group.  The gang is ready to rip the movie apart…that is until the title comes up:  “Thunder Gun 4:  Maximum Cool.”

Fans of the show will remember season 7, episode 11 (Thunder Gun Express), as the gang hilariously tries to make it to the showing of the greatest movie ever, dealing with a lot of obstacles along the way.  It’s safe to say that the gang is beyond excited to watch this, but they do have high expectations for the movie.

4

“Oh I think she sucks.”

After all the hype, the gang is somewhat confused by the new Thunder Gun movie and they ask, “Did they make Thunder Gun bad?”  The leader of the focus group does her best to go over the changes and the plot to get some answers out of the gang, but she has no idea what she is in for.

She looks to Dee, hoping to really get a female’s perspective, but Dee is not a fan of the strong female character approach, explaining that they should really just “bed em and dead em” so that she has no competition.

3

“The gratuitous nudity was a bit much.”

“F*ck you!”  I’m seriously still laughing over that response from Charlie, who is not pleased with this observation.  The gang seems to be most focused on the fact that there is “no dong” throughout the movie, explaining that it is really a trademark.

Dolph Lundgren hilariously plays “John Thundergun” in the film they are watching, which really made this so much more entertaining, but the gang almost loses it when they find out that the movie will be rated…PG-13.

2

“Save the dong…”

The gang decides to begin chanting “save the dong” to really get their point across, but Dee messes up the rhythm.  Come on, Dee!  Charlie consistently has no idea what is going on and it looks like the leader of the focus group is losing her patience with the gang, especially when they cannot grasp the concept of “passing the torch,” which includes John Thundergun literally passing a torch to his son to carry out the legacy.

1

“I am Thunder Gun.”

The gang decides that it is up to them to destroy it since the movie is such a disaster and they leak the film online before the release.  The mission is a success, as the movie is ultimately pulled, which leaves room for a better “Thunder Gun” movie to release in the future.

Overall, I thought this was a fun episode, especially since I really enjoyed the “Thunder Gun Express” episode back in season 7.  Dolph Lundgren fit in perfectly and really stole the show!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” season 14 episode 1 season premiere: “The Gang Gets Romantic”

Happy Thursday TV fans!  After watching the FXX network’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 1 season premiere, I learned that the gang has a softer side, really embracing what makes a rom-com truly special.  Although there seems to be some confusion on what a Meet Cute actually is.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “The Gang Gets Romantic,” Charlie and Frank place an ad for their luxurious Airbnb, which features sleeping in the same bed with them.  Meanwhile, Mac and Dennis try out their own version, and Dee tries to land a part as well, even though romantic leads are supposed to be likable.  My top 5 moments from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 episode 1 season premiere are:

5

“It’s a good ad…”

“Gruesome twosome seek exotic Europeans for week long rental in luxurious one room apartment…bed to be shared with owners.”  Charlie thinks it is a good ad, but Dee and the others are not really so sure.  We learn that Charlie and Frank are trying out their own version of an Airbnb, although Mac and Dennis think they are trying to steal their own “Meet Cute” idea, which Charlie confuses for “meat cubes.”  Either way, this should be interesting…

4

“That’s a hard no for me.”

Charlie and Frank are extremely excited to meet Alexi and Nikki, but they change their minds when two Austrian men show up at their door.  They try to go to bed early, but it appears that the bed may now finally be too crowded, as they start to have second thoughts about their decision…although there is yodeling.

3

“Pushing away a soulmate.”

After Mac and Dennis’s plan backfires when their guest, Lisa shows up at their own Airbnb with her husband, Greg, they decide to get Dee on board.  Mac sends Greg on a mission to get a plunger and Dee happens to be waiting in the same hardware store and it’s the only plunger left.

Dee comments on how “it’s charming and cute and fun how we met over a plunger,” but Greg is not so convinced and decides to just go to another hardware store.  We know you are much more than a “diversionary plot twist,” Dee!

2

“That’s not romantic…or comedic.”

After hearing Lisa and Greg arguing over someone named Teddy, they assume that one of them had an affair.  Mac comes to the conclusion that perhaps the Meet Cute is meant for him and tells Greg how he feels with a moving soundtrack playing in the background.  Greg explains that Teddy is their son who died and suddenly everything is not so romantic or comedic, as Dennis realizes that he doesn’t have a music soundtrack for a dead kid…

1

“I love you!”

It initially seemed like we would not get the satisfying rom-com movie ending, but Charlie and Frank realize that they should have never kicked out Alexi and Nikki and decide to rush after them at the bus stop, especially when Charlie sees that they left them a present of actual meat cubes.

Alexi says that they will return in one year and Charlie and Frank promise to be waiting for them, as Charlie shouts, “I love you!”  After all, he had Frank at “gash.”  Stay tuned for more Sunny fun!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

What to Watch on TV this Fall: The 2019 Fall TV Premieres I am Most Excited For!

Greetings TV Fans!  As we enter into the Fall season, some of our favorite shows will be returning with new episodes and we can also look forward to some brand new shows as well that seem to have a lot of potential.  Looking to find out when they all start and where to watch them?  You came to the right place!

While some of our favorite returning shows already have 2019 premiere dates announced, others are still giving out a late 2019/early 2020 vague response, but it looks like we have plenty of shows to watch in the meantime!  Without any further delay, the 2019 Fall TV premieres I am most looking forward to are:

American Horror Story: 1984 (Season 9)

Where to watch: FX Network

Welcome to Camp Redwood!  Who doesn’t love the 80’s?  The ninth season of AHS looks like it is going to provide us with a lot of slasher fun and nostalgia.  While Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will not be on the newest season (sigh), we do have some fan-favorites returning, including the wonderful and brilliant Emma Roberts.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Season 14)

I mean, who doesn’t love laughing along with our friends from Paddy’s Pub?  The gang is back and I can’t wait to see what schemes they come up with next.  After Mac’s moving dance performance, anything is possible!  Perhaps another Charlie Kelly episode?  There is plenty of Charlie work to go around after all.

It’s time to silence the Whisperers once and for all, but what threats will emerge next?  As we approach season 10, we know that this will be Michonne’s last season, but what does that mean for her character?  I can’t wait to find out!

Riverdale (Season 4)

After that cliffhanger ending in season 3, it looks like we will have a new mystery to dive into for season 4, which centers around one of our main characters.  What secrets will emerge next?  Stay tuned!

Nancy Drew (New Series)

Premiere date: Wednesday, October 9th 2019

Where to watch: The CW

It looks like I will be busy on Wednesday nights indefinitely!  Nancy Drew is one of my favorite book series of all time and this new series looks like a dark and grown up version, giving me some Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars feels right off the bat.  I’m in 100 percent!

Supernatural (Season 15) *Final Season*

Premiere date: Thursday, October 10th 2019

Where to watch: The CW

How will it all end for the Winchesters?  After that cliffhanger ending in season 14, it looks like our favorite hunters have a lot of work to do, but luckily they have some backup in our favorite angel, Castiel.  What can we expect for the final season?  I’m not sure, but I would love to see some fun nostalgia sprinkled in with some returning guest stars.  It will be beyond difficult to say goodbye, but I know that the series will end the way it is intended to and I’m looking forward to watching these final adventures with Sam and Dean.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie

Premiere date: Friday, October 11th 2019

Where to watch: Netflix (to be released at a later date on AMC)

So I initially didn’t think to put this on the list since it is technically a movie, but how can I leave out one of my favorite series of all time?!  Jesse Pinkman is back and Breaking Bad fans everywhere can rejoice, as we finally get to find out what happens next in the story!

The Purge (Season 2)

Premiere date: Tuesday, October 15th 2019

Where to watch: USA Network

What happens on Purge Night doesn’t necessarily stay on Purge Night.  I love The Purge movies and when I first heard about the television series last year, I really didn’t go into it with high expectations.  Well I was in for a huge surprise, as this show became one of my favorite series of the year.  It’s fast paced, surprising, and a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see what happens in season 2 as we follow a brand new group of characters.  Are you ready, citizens?

Castle Rock (Season 2)

Premiere date: Wednesday, October 23rd 2019

Where to watch: Hulu

The Stephen King anthology series was another bone-chilling and haunting surprise for me last year and I have been waiting quite some time for a premiere date announcement for season 2.  Well it looks like we are in luck, as new episodes will return right before Halloween, which certainly seems fitting.  It looks like we will follow a new story and a new group of characters in the mysterious town of Castle Rock, but I am hoping to get some Easter eggs or connections to season one.  We shall see!

Shameless (Season 10)

Premiere date: Sunday, November 10th 2019

Where to watch: Showtime

We said goodbye to fan-favorite, Fiona Gallagher for good last season, but can season 10 keep the Gallaghers relevant?  Let’s hope so!  While I am disappointed that Fiona will no longer be on the show, it looks like we will need to turn our attention to Lip, especially now that he is going to be a father.  The laughs never fail on one of my favorite series of all time and I can’t wait to see what the Gallagher family does next!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to comment on any TV Premieres that YOU are looking forward to watching in the comments section below.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking my top 5 Thanksgiving TV Episodes: “It’s a Ritual Sacrifice with Pie”

Greetings TV Fans!  Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it’s important to take a moment to think about what we are truly thankful for.  It’s a time to share with family and friends and to put that pesky diet aside to make room for some pumpkin pie.

For today, I am going to be ranking my absolute favorite Thanksgiving television episodes.  While there is a lot more material out there for Halloween and Christmas episodes, one should not discount some quality Thanksgiving programming.

So grab some more food and make room for some Thanksgiving TV fun!  Please note that some spoilers are ahead.

My top 5 Thanksgiving TV episodes are:

5

“Modern Family” Three Turkeys (TV Episode 2014)

Three turkeys collage

Modern Family does a fantastic job with holiday episodes.  While the Valentine’s Day and Halloween ones take the cake for me, “Three Turkeys” is absolutely hilarious.  During the episode, Phil and Luke work on the turkey together, but Claire worries that Phil may mess it up and has a back-up one ready to go.

Meanwhile, Jay and Gloria are supposed to go away, but end up staying; only they want to just have a nice and quiet Thanksgiving at home.  This doesn’t go exactly according to plan when Phil shows up to use their oven and the chaos continues, as the turkeys continue to multiply.  This is a great episode to watch with family and friends!

4

“Beverly Hills, 90210” The Kindness of Strangers (TV Episode 1992)

Beverly hills thanksgiving collage

While Thanksgiving is a time for family to come together, it is also a time to give as well.  Brandon crosses paths with a homeless man named Jack, who he previously tried to help over the summer.  Brandon could have just gone on his way, but he decides to bring him home for Thanksgiving dinner.

While Brandon’s father is not at all pleased initially, Jack proves to be worthy and is extremely grateful to be given a chance to spend this holiday with a warm meal and wonderful people.  Brandon always tries to do the right thing, but he really shines here.  This episode is heartwarming and really captures the essence of giving.

3

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” Pangs (TV Episode 1999)

Buffy thanksgiving collage

So what do you do when you encounter the spirit of a Native American warrior who is looking to take his revenge out just before Thanksgiving dinner?  Well I guess you give Buffy Summers a call.  This episode is jam-packed with action and comedy.  Angel makes a special guest appearance, only he doesn’t inform Buffy that he is there to protect her from a great evil.

What makes this episode stand out is that Buffy is really trying to make her Thanksgiving dinner a success.  While the Scoobies try to figure out a way to stop the spirit of the warrior, Buffy insists on keeping her dinner going no matter what because you know, “It’s a Yam Sham.”

Spike even gets a seat at the table, only he is tied to a chair, which makes this episode even funnier.  If you need a break from the stress of preparing dinner, this is the episode to watch.

2

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” The Gang Squashes Their Beefs (TV Episode 2013)

Sunny thanksgiving collage

After running into the McPoyle brothers at the video store, the gang begins to realize that they need to bury the hatchet and wipe the slate clean with a lot of people…literally.  The gang invites over everyone they have wronged for Thanksgiving dinner and Dennis tries to sort of apologize, but really wants them to sign a treaty so that they no longer feel guilty.  Dennis does love his documentation.

This episode is absolutely hilarious and leads to a food fight that you may have only dreamed about at one of your own Thanksgiving dinners.  After Mac’s room is set on fire, the gang does the only right thing in this situation…they lock their guests inside the apartment and make a run for it.  This episode is laugh out loud funny and is definitely worth a second watch.

1

“South Park” Helen Keller!  The Musical (TV Episode 2000)

Gobbles collage

It should be no surprise that my favorite Thanksgiving TV episode is from South Park.  This episode is beyond hilarious and I have probably watched it every single Thanksgiving.  During the episode, the kids are putting on an interesting musical for Thanksgiving, but Timmy and his untalented turkey named Gobbles steal the show.

It may sound ridiculous, but you will end up rooting for this poor turkey and cheering for him when he finally goes through the hoop of fire.  “Gobbles!”  Now that’s an impressive finale!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to share some of your own thoughts and comments on your favorite Thanksgiving TV episodes.

**I just want to take a minute to thank each and every one of you for being so wonderful and supportive.  I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones!  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” season 13 episode 10 season finale: “Mac Finds His Pride”

Happy Saturday TV fans!  After watching the FXX network’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 13 episode 10 season finale, Mac presented us with a performance that was profound and moving.  While I’m not sure his dad really got it, he sure did captivate the rest of the audience.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.  In Wednesday night’s episode, “Mac Finds His Pride,” Frank’s mission is to get Mac to dance on the Paddy’s Pub float in the pride parade, but Mac is not too sure he wants to participate, as he starts to realize that he would rather share the truth with his father instead.  Only we know that Mac’s dad is not the friendliest guy in the world.  My top 5 moments from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 13 episode 10 season finale are:

5

“What year is it in your head?”

In the beginning of the episode, Frank is extremely motivated to play his part and get Mac to perform on the Paddy’s Pub float in the pride parade.  Mac is not really on board with this however; as he is still not sure on his own identity as a gay man.  Frank tries to make Mac comfortable, but fails miserably as he first takes him to some kind of S&M club and then tries out “Pookie’s,” which is a club for drag queens.  Mac doesn’t think he quite fits in at either place and hilariously asks Frank what year he thinks it is in his head, as Frank is not really sure where to take Mac next to find his pride.  I guess it’s the thought that counts?

4

“So the only thing that’s missing is Mac…”

While the episode is mostly centered on Mac and Frank, we do get to briefly see Dee and Charlie, who are working very hard on their Paddy’s Pub float, which is actually out of this world and even features a bar on top.  Nice work guys!  We start to realize that the gang may have an ulterior motive, as they admit to wanting to attract some more customers to the bar and Mac could be the key, but Frank is still not able to follow through with his one and only job.

3

“There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you…”

After Frank’s failed attempts to help Mac find his identity, Mac comes to the conclusion that he wants to share everything with his father.  Mac’s father, Luther, is always hilarious, as he has really mastered the cold-blooded killer vibe.  When Mac asks him how he is doing, he calmly talks about his problems with his cell mate by explaining, “I cut out his tongue with a rusty pair of pliers and fed it to the maggots.”  Mac is not really sure what to say to this and just simply replies with, “Cool.”  I’m not sure I would know how to react either.  After Mac tries to start telling his dad about his complicated dream about being gay, Luther thinks that Mac has gotten a girl pregnant and is thrilled to be a grandfather.  Only it better be a son or else Mac will need to start over.  Mac is always seeking his father’s approval and starts to think that perhaps he does need to get a girl pregnant, but Frank tries to keep him on track.  After all, he doesn’t want him to “go back in the closet.”

2

“He looks like a monster.”

After Frank explains that he thinks Mac may be going “back in the closet,” Dee and Charlie need to find a replacement for him on the float.  Cricket shows up dressed in some kind of biker leather combo that shows off his many scars, but I’m not sure this will attract the right clientele, as Charlie hilariously comments, “He looks like a monster.”  Well at least he is willing to participate for the loose change in Dee’s pocket.

1

“I get it.”

Frank arranges for Mac to put on a performance for his father and the other inmates, realizing that Mac needs to finally tell his dad the truth.  Mac actually brings his dream to life and puts on a beautiful and heart wrenching dance performance in the rain with his female partner, who literally came out of nowhere.  Either way, she was extremely talented.  While Mac’s father gets up and leaves, all of the other inmates are mesmerized by Mac’s movements and Frank finally understands when he says, “I get it.”  It looks like Mac has finally found his identity and pride while showcasing his incredible dance skills as well.  I guess that’s the end of the new season, but I’m hoping for the gang to return soon, especially since we know that the series has been renewed through Season 14.  Stay tuned!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

I am so excited to announce that my book, The Search for Alice, is now available!  If you enjoy fairy-tale retellings, paranormal romance, horror, and mystery, then this might be the book for you or someone you know!  Thank you for taking the time to check it out and I appreciate any feedback as well.  I hope you enjoy!

When Kallie Bennett, a jaded teenage girl plagued by her alcoholic mother and her peers molded out of sheer bubble gum perfection, chases after Alice in Wonderland herself, she ends up lost in her own version of Wonderland, which forces her to face her utmost fears and introduces her to familiar characters with a dark twist. Among these characters is Ches, a gorgeous vampire with a conflicted conscience, who becomes Kallie’s guide and blossoming love interest. She also crosses paths with Queen Hartley, a manipulative witch who has the power to strip away one’s memories and imagination, which brings a bone chilling new meaning to “off with their heads.” In The Search for Alice, Kallie starts to realize that her Wonderland is just as frightening as her own reality and that she cannot always run away from her problems. She must figure out a way to defeat Queen Hartley and return home before it is too late, but she soon learns that escaping Wonderland means leaving Ches behind forever.
