Review of “Riverdale” Season 5, Episode 13 on the CW: Riverdale goes Coyote Ugly on us

**Please note spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up with the series.**

“I should have stabbed you harder when I had the chance…”

After Hiram Lodge’s origin story last week, we return to present day events with episode 13. Betty and Tabitha continue to work together to stop the mysterious trucker killer while some other new partnerships form as well.

Does Riverdale season 5 episode 13 get things back on track?

Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Images courtesy of The CW

The team-up continues!

Betty and Tabitha really do make a good team and I was happy that we actually spent a lot of time on them in this week’s episode. Betty attempts to lure a possible suspect but winds up in a lot of trouble with a chainsaw, but luckily Tabitha shows up to help her out.

But, is this deranged trucker really the killer Betty has been looking for?

I’m not so sure, but it looks like things are going to get really interesting in next week’s episode when Betty decides to interrogate him.

Even though there were a lot of things that seemed ridiculous and unbelievable with these scenes, they were still entertaining and that’s what I’m looking for from this show.

Images courtesy of The CW

The Coyote Ugly performance was a lot of fun!

Betty and Tabitha come up with an idea to put on a Coyote Ugly-esque performance to lure in potential trucker scum, allowing us to witness a showstopping number featuring Veronica, Betty, Tabitha and Cheryl!

I thought this was genius and finally the singing made sense!

Unlikely partnerships are in the air.

Cheryl and Kevin and Veronica and Reggie work together in this episode and I actually really liked the interactions here. It allowed some of the supporting characters a chance to get some air time without pushing the envelope too much.

I just don’t want to hear about Veronica being the “She Wolf of Wall Street” anymore…

The Cons:

Images courtesy of The CW

Archie’s story-line…

Look I really like Archie, but these post-war flashbacks were beyond ridiculous. The acting was so bad in them so I could not take them seriously. As much as I want to support Archie with helping out rescue dogs in need (seriously loved this), I’m not sure I am buying the rest of it.

So am I in or out?

Images courtesy of The CW

I’m in about 75 percent…

I liked this episode a lot more than the last two I watched, but things are still spiraling out of control in terms of the plot. I think we need to focus more on the trucker mystery and Jughead’s potential disappearance and find something else for Archie to do in town…

Review of “Riverdale” Season 5, Episode 11 on the CW: A New Team-Up

**Please note spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up with the series.**

“What the hell just happened?”

A good question for sure as new episodes of Riverdale finally return. It’s been a while since we last checked in on our favorite little town and a lot has happened. After the brilliant idea to flash forward into the future, our favorite characters may be older, but they haven’t really changed…

Even though this episode is right in the middle of season 5, it does serve as a mid-season premiere in a lot of ways, but does it do enough to keep us coming back for more?

Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Images courtesy of The CW

More Cheryl!

The Queen of Riverdale hasn’t really been in the spotlight lately so I appreciated that this episode devoted some well deserved screen time to her…along with Penelope Blossom. I don’t really buy Penelope’s new act and I’m also wondering how she convinced people to actually join her new ministry with promises of a realm filled with maple syrup?

As silly as it is, it gave our scene stealer a chance to shine although I think that the writers should come up with a better angle/story-line for our girl Cheryl. She deserves it and so do we!

Images courtesy of The CW

Tabitha and Betty make a great team!

I don’t know about you, but I always love the episodes where Betty teams up with another girl to kick some ass. Betty is Final Girl material to her core and so much more, but sometimes she needs someone else (Veronica or Cheryl) to back her up to add in a new dynamic.

Well, we have a new duo to talk about and that’s Tabitha and Betty. I actually really like Tabitha and she has been a welcomed addition to the series. After working with Jughead’s ex to figure out what happened to him combined with a crazy drug trip, it looks like Tabitha and Betty will be working together to find out what happened to the missing girls, which is the strongest story-line this season.

I can’t wait to see what they do next!

The Cons:

Images courtesy of The CW

Too much going on in one episode…

Riverdale is known for jamming multiple story-lines in at once, but this episode felt really chaotic and all over the place. We had the convicts on the loose, Hiram taken hostage, Veronica and Archie contemplating their relationship, a drug trip, and Jughead roaming around Sketch Alley. Sure, that sounds like a good place to visit…

Once we got to the random singing, I really couldn’t take it. I love the musical entries when they make sense, but this just seemed over-the-top and I expect a lot more from one of my favorite series…

So am I in or out?

Images courtesy of The CW

I’m 50/50 on this one…

Season 5 has made some bold decisions and while I love some story-lines, others need to go. I really want to get back to the mystery surrounding Polly and the trucker, but it looks like we are going to have a Hiram origin story next week…

Overall, the episode felt all over the place but I’m confident that we can get back on track with the remaining episodes. It looks like we just have to get through some filler ones first.

Plus, I’m dying to find out what happens to Jughead now that he got on that truck…

I hope you enjoyed the review and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Riverdale in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the “Wolf Creek” Franchise: “If I tell you, I’ll have to kill you…”

“Uncle Mick won’t hurt you…”

Images courtesy of Prime Video

While I had seen the original Wolf Creek movie back in 2005, I somehow missed out on the rest of the franchise and I decided to binge-watch it all to catch up with our old pal, Mick Taylor. When it comes to horror villains, we naturally think about Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers and more, but Mick Taylor may be one of the best villains I have ever watched in a horror franchise.

Part of what makes the franchise so terrifying is that it is loosely based on real events. I already have issues with watching tourists get lost into the void and Mick Taylor welcomes you to the Outback with a smile and “rain water from the top end.” John Jarratt’s portrayal of Mick is out of this world. Mick is ruthless, sadistic, and terrifying, but he also manages to charm us with his fantastic laugh and quirky humor, which almost makes you root more for the villain as the characters in each film are just along for crazy Mick’s ride.

After watching the entire franchise, I can tell you that I absolutely love every film and season and there isn’t one that I would say is lacking. For today, I am going to be ranking the Wolf Creek franchise, but this mostly comes down to preference and I am anxiously waiting for Wolf Creek 3 to be released, which seems to already be in the works for 2022. Yay!

Please note some spoilers are ahead.

Without any further delay, let’s find out exactly how I ranked the Wolf Creek films/seasons and why.

1

Wolf Creek 2 (2013)

Images courtesy of Prime Video

It’s rare for me to like a sequel more than an original film, but I think that Wolf Creek truly found its way in the second movie. Mick is back and better than ever and I think everyone realized it’s better to let Mick just be Mick, as he faces off against Ryan Corr in this edge-of-your-seat film.

While the first film took a while to get going, this one starts off with a bang. I thought that Mick was even funnier in this one and there was no fluff in the way. Everything happens at a fast pace and was really brutal.

I thought that Ryan Corr was really good in the film as well and a worthy opponent, but you can’t beat Mick at his own game…

Standout Death:

Spoiler alert. Do not read if you have not seen this movie!

Images courtesy of Prime Video

Poor Katarina. She just wanted to go camping with her boyfriend and witnessed a lot of horrific things before Ryan Corr’s character picked her up on the side of the road. After screaming hysterically about her circumstances, Mick ends up shooting her…accidentally. There goes Mick’s play thing for the next few months and he is not happy about it.

2

Wolf Creek: Season 2 (2017)

Images courtesy of Shudder

Whoever came up with the idea to have Mick driving a bus full of tourists through the Australian Outback is a genius. I wasn’t really sure what I was going to get with the second season of the series and wow did it deliver. I was completely addicted to this show and there were explosions, twists, and more terrifying fun with Mick Taylor.

More please!

Standout Death:

Spoiler alert. Do not read if you have not seen this season!

Images courtesy of Shudder

I can’t think of anything more terrifying than poor Ritchie having his tongue cut out only to be buried alive with a termite mound on top of him…

I am still cringing over this.

Season 2 did not hold back at all…

3

Wolf Creek (2005)

Images courtesy of Prime Video

The original movie is really frightening, but it takes a while to get going. We follow Liz and her friends while they explore Wolf Creek and we are then first introduced to Mick’s character after their car won’t start.

Once Mick revealed his true sinister intentions, things really get going, but I think this film took a little while to find its footing and that’s not necessarily a bad thing at all. I just think it adjusted better with the later film and series.

Standout Death:

Spoiler alert. Do not read if you have not seen this movie!

Images courtesy of Prime Video

I really think Liz deserved better. I was rooting for her during the entire movie and I thought that she had Final Girl potential. She kept a clear head and made smart decisions, but it still wasn’t enough to defeat Mick in the end as he tried out his “head on a stick” impression, stabbing her to death.

I think this is also the moment that truly made me realize how good this franchise is. I thought Liz was going to be the survivor and then I realized that the film wasn’t about the good guy winning or saving the day. It was more about Mick and what he was getting away with and how easy it can be to make someone disappear…

Either way, I kind of wished we got some Easter Eggs about Liz in the later film and series. I still don’t know how Mick knew exactly what car she would get into…

4

Wolf Creek: Season 1 (2016)

Images courtesy of Prime Video

I really liked season one of the series as well, but when I look back at the entire franchise, it feels different from the rest. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing because the series should have a different vibe to make it stand out on its own and I think it accomplished that here. It was just really more of a revenge story for Eve and there was a lot of drama and romance sprinkled in, but I did really love the dog!

Standout Death:

Spoiler alert. Do not read if you have not seen season 1!

Images courtesy of Prime Video

Well, we know that Mick doesn’t actually die, but Eve does defeat him and this was the huge moment on the show. Well done, Eve!

So, what’s next for Mick Taylor?

We know that a new film is already in the works and season 3 is not off the table either so it looks like we will be seeing more Mick Taylor in the future. In the meantime, you might want to re-consider those vacation plans…

Predictions for the “Cruel Summer” Season Finale: Who is Annabelle?

Happy Monday TV Fans! As we approach the season finale of Cruel Summer, there is quite a lot I want to see, but will we be able to answer all of our questions or will there be more of the mystery left to uncover?

**Please note spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up with this series.**

Cruel Summer has quickly become one of my favorite shows to premiere this year and even though the trippy time jumps may have your head spinning here and there, the mystery is a good one and I have had so many theories and questions about this particular show.

Just when you think you have it all figured out, the show throws you for a loop which reminds us that seeing things from each perspective is not always clear cut and sometimes there is a lot more to the truth.

So, what can we expect from the season finale?

Images courtesy of Freeform

Well, now that we have witnessed the events leading to Kate being locked up in the basement, we are going to be watching the trial between Kate and Jeanette. We know that Kate did have a relationship with Martin, but it did escalate into something truly horrific and my heart does go out to her.

We now understand how Jeanette’s necklace showed up at the house, but Kate seems still pretty convinced that Jeanette saw her and that wasn’t evident at all from the flashbacks we witnessed.

The trial is probably going to have a lot of drama, but will we learn anything new?

I still have two major questions and I want some answers in the season finale.

Is Mallory hiding something?

Images courtesy of Freeform

Everything in my gut tells me that Mallory has a secret. I’m not exactly sure what her part is in this all, but maybe she saw more on that videotape than she is letting on…

Mallory lied to Jeanette about the snow globe, but what else does she know and can she be trusted at all?

Let’s talk about Annabelle…

Images courtesy of Freeform

The biggest question I have had has been around who Annabelle is. I have theories about it being another victim, part of Kate’s personality or part of Martin’s own issues, but I really hope that we finally get to explore the answer to this burning question because I think it has the potential to truly surprise the audience.

Don’t let us down!

Will there be another twist?

Images courtesy of Freeform

The series has only been approved for one season, but that doesn’t mean that Freeform won’t decide to bring it back for a second one, but what would actually happen in the second season?

We would need another shocking twist to bring us back for more and the only thing that comes to mind is perhaps Martin isn’t actually dead after all? Maybe Jeanette did actually see her?

I also think that one of the parents knows a lot more than they are saying or maybe there was another witness.

Honestly I don’t know, but I really like this show and would be happy to see another season only if we have more to the mystery left to uncover.

Stay tuned!

If you haven’t watched Cruel Summer yet, you can catch up now on Freeform and Hulu!

Reaction to the “Younger” Series Finale: The Ending I Dreamed of Came True

**Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up with this series.**

I woke up bright and early today to watch the Younger series finale and even though I have had some issues with the final season, I went into it hoping for the best and boy did it deliver!

In last week’s post, I talked about some of my predictions and questions that I had and I think that most of them were answered in the finale, but there were still a few loose ends I had some issues with.

First, let’s talk about Kelsey’s decision.

Images courtesy of Hulu

I was really happy that Kelsey made the right decision about Rob and decided to go out on her own even though she didn’t really have an investor anymore for Inkubator. I thought that her speech at the party was really heartfelt and inspiring and I was rooting for her to find her own way.

Well, she did and thanks to the group behind Reese Witherspoon’s book club, she now has an investor. Kelsey will be moving to California and will be starting a new life, which was bitter sweet since she will be leaving Liza behind.

I have one issue with the Kelsey story and it involves Zane. I don’t like that we are just supposed to assume that Zane couldn’t handle Kelsey’s promotion and left things the way they were. I understand that the pandemic prevented some actors from returning, but Kelsey could have gotten a congratulatory text from Zane, perhaps?

Lauren and Maggie get a chance at love.

Images courtesy of Hulu

While not exactly what I expected for either of them, their choices were far from boring and I think that it suited their characters. I am really happy that we got to spend a lot of time devoted to them this season.

The end of Charliza…

I went into this series finale thinking we were going to get a cheesy Charliza ending and I was glad that the writers went in a different direction. Liza and Charles realize that they are not going to make it and part amicably this time.

Liza is going to be the editor-in-chief at Empirical and I was honestly really excited for her. This show has been a journey of self-discovery for Liza in a lot of ways and I think that this promotion proves that she has made it and then some.

The only thing missing here is that she needs Diana to join her team again…seriously not even a mention in the series finale? That was another missed opportunity.

OK, so let’s talk about that ending!!!!!!

Images courtesy of Hulu

I’ve been complaining that Josh has seemed mostly filler in the final season and deep down in my heart, I have always shipped Liza with Josh. The show ends exactly as it should. Everything comes full circle and Liza ends up at a bar…with Josh.

She points out that she didn’t even know he was there and he reminds her that he always has been.

The implication is there, which is exactly what I was looking for. We don’t get this over-the-top kiss or them walking off into the sunset, but we do leave things open enough to make our conclusions about what will happen between them.

I think that Younger redeemed itself in its final episode and I thought that it nailed the series finale, which is not easy to do.

I have seen a lot of shows fail at this miserably over the years and Younger took a simple and effective approach and it paid off.

I’m a Younger fan for life and I will miss watching the episodes, but there’s always time for a re-watch!

Predictions for the “Big Sky” Season Finale: What I’m Dying to See and More!

Happy Monday TV Fans! As we approach the season finale of Big Sky, there is quite a lot I want to see, but will we have time to address it all in the jam-packed finale?

**Please note spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up with this series.**

Big Sky has quickly become one of my favorite shows and I am so thrilled that it has been picked up for season 2 already. That eases my mind about a cliffhanger that may never be resolved as we approach the finale.

We know that we can’t chase Ronald forever, but it’s really a lot of fun.

So, what can we expect from the season finale?

Based on what happened in the previous episode, it seems like things are pretty much wrapped up with the mystery surrounding Blake’s family. Justice was kind of served and it looks like Britt Robertson’s character will be the one calling the shots now, but I think it’s safe to say that this story has run its course.

Big Sky 1

Images courtesy of ABC

I’m honestly looking forward to a new mystery next season that has a little bit more edge like the initial one.

Let’s talk about Ronald…

Big Sky 2

Images courtesy of ABC

Whether you love him or hate him, there’s just something about Ronald, but I think he may be out of options at this point. Much like I predicted, his girlfriend has a dark side and may be even crazier than him, but based on the previews, it looks like Ronald is going to be locked up…at least temporarily.

So, where does that leave Jerrie?

Big Sky 3

Images courtesy of ABC

I desperately want to see Jerrie get her revenge on Ronald. Everyone needs to stop telling her what to do so she can see this through on her own. She deserves it and honestly I would really like to see the other girls return as well even though they haven’t appeared on the second half of the show.

Let’s let Jerrie shine and have her moment. Watch out, Ronald!

What else is Ronald hiding?

Big SKy 4

Images courtesy of ABC

We know that Ronald murdered his girlfriend’s sister, but that isn’t really much of a surprise for Dewell and Hoyt. We need something else…something unexpected. So, what is it?

Did Ronald take out an insurance policy in case he was caught?

I’m hoping for something really dark and twisted here, but we’ll have to wait and see.

I know that the Ronald story-line can’t last forever, but it’s a good one and maybe he can act as the new Hannibal Lecter when other serial killers start coming to town so he can stay involved with the show.

Either way, I’m excited to watch the season finale and I can’t wait to see more mysteries arrive at Dewell and Hoyt’s doorstep.

If you haven’t watched Big Sky yet, you can catch up now on ABC and on Hulu!

Checking in on “Younger” Season 7: How will it End?

“Age is irrelevant…”

Happy Sunday TV Fans! It’s been over a year and a half since we last checked in on TV Land’s Younger and the last season is finally here! There will be twelve episodes in total for the final season. The first four episodes are already streaming on both Paramount Plus and Hulu. The remaining episodes will air weekly on Thursdays and the show will also air later on its original network, TV Land.

The Team Charles vs. Team Josh rivalry has gone through its ups and downs, but has Liza finally made a decision on where her heart truly lies?

**Please note spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up on the series.**

At the end of season 6, Charles proposes to Liza at Diana’s wedding and of course we don’t get her answer right away, leaving us with a major cliffhanger for all this time. Luckily, the season 7 premiere doesn’t waste any time and we learn that Liza is really happy with the way things are going with Charles, but she doesn’t know if she wants to get married.

Apparently this “technicality” matters a little too much to Charles and he decides to break things off with Liza, leaving us right back where we started in this Charliza web of uncertainty.

Younger season 7 5

Images courtesy of Hulu

Will they or won’t they?

Let’s pause on that question and discuss what else is going on in the final season.

So I have to say that I was really pleased with more air time for both Lauren and Maggie. Lauren has always been a scene stealer and she has been bringing us some major laughs and it’s about time!

But, we also aren’t seeing Diana or Zane as series regulars which leaves me with a lot of uncertainty. Zane ends things with Kelsey over face time, but I have always seen these two as end game so where does that leave Kelsey?

Younger season 7 3

Images courtesy of Hulu

And Diana has always been at the very center of the dynamic in the work place and it feels empty without her even though Lauren is putting forth a valiant effort to fill our diva’s shoes.

Josh loves being a father and we have already thrown a potential new love interest his way, but he ends up saying some really deep and meaningful words to Liza. They agree that what they have doesn’t need to be defined and that they will always be there for each other, which was really beautiful.

Josh has matured in so many ways across the series and you can argue that he has grown up even more than Liza, who has basically gone in the opposite direction with this whole age scandal thing.

Younger season 7 4

Images courtesy of Hulu

But are Josh and Liza truly meant for each other?

I’m not sure about that either and I’m starting to wonder about how the series will actually end.

At this point, I’m not sure how I feel about Charliza anymore especially since Charles seems so quick to move on to Quinn. I mean, really?

Liza is moving on in her own way, but I’m starting to wonder if she will actually end up on her own at the very end of the series. I’m all for a happily ever after ending, but the show has really been more about Liza’s second chance at a life for herself and she has really achieved that in so many ways.

Younger season 7 1

Images courtesy of Hulu

Sure, she’s had A LOT of missteps along the way, but that’s part of life and maybe this show is really more about self-discovery and awareness than it is about finding that special someone.

I’m already enjoying the final season so much. The fashion has been on point and there has been a lot of humor already, but I hope we don’t spend too much time on the will-they-won’t they aspect because Liza deserves better and I hope she finds what she has been looking for.

Younger season 7 2

Images courtesy of Hulu

Either way, I’m excited to watch the rest of the final season and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Stay tuned, Younger fans!

Checking in on “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 6: Game Changer

Happy Wednesday TV Fans! When we last checked in on AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, Virginia was still running things while Morgan started to gather his people at his new potential home.

I’ve been waiting for Fear TWD to find its edge again. That raw intense one it had in the very beginning of the series. After several seasons of singing kumbaya without any major character deaths, I was beginning to lose hope.

And then season 6, episode 8 aired which was a complete game changer for the series.

**Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up on the series.**

In season 6, episode 8, we check in on John Dorie, who has really lost his will to live. He contemplates taking his own life, but Morgan and Dakota show up to try and get him to come with them.

Morgan was in a very similar situation a while back and John Dorie was the one to give him the motivation to live again so Morgan tries to do the same for his friend.

Fear TWD season 6 episode 8 3

Images courtesy of AMC

Although John Dorie was introduced later in the series, he quickly became a fan favorite. He always saw the good in people and refused to change his moral compass even though the world has changed, which can be a good thing and a bad thing.

His relationship with June was one of the most beautiful ones I have ever witnessed on a show and there is an authentic and real quality to their marriage. It is far from perfect and both of them have run away from their mistakes before, but they always find a way back to each other.

As we fast forward through the episode, John agrees to help Morgan and Dakota clear the bridge but he wants to be left in peace after that. Morgan takes matters into his own hands and radios to Virginia where John is so that he doesn’t have a choice, explaining that he is not going to sit by and let his best friend die.

Fear TWD season 6 episode 8 1

After a few close calls with the horde, it looked like we were right back where we started again and then Dakota decided to show her true colors.

John sees the knife that Dakota uses on a walker and realizes that she was the one who killed Cameron. Dakota explains that he ruined her way out and now she needs to continue to keep her secret…

After John puts away his own weapon, Dakota shoots John in the chest and pushes him over the bridge.

We get this incredible moment where John is drifting to the bottom of the water but sees the photo of him and his dad and it is enough to motivate him to make it to the surface.

Morgan confronts Dakota and we find out that she was the one who initially saved Morgan’s life because she thinks that he is the only one who can actually kill her sister.

Morgan radios over to Virginia and tells them to look for John in the water and that he might need help and of course poor June is there.

June discovers John in the water and he has already turned. In a heart shattering moment, she stabs him in the head, which really had my emotions stirring.

Fear TWD season 6 episode 8 2

Images courtesy of AMC

While this is an incredibly heartbreaking moment, this needed to happen.

We needed a major character death to remind us that this is a show about the zombie apocalypse. While I appreciate the messages of hope, there has to be something that truly motivates the rest of the group to stand up against Virginia and this is it.

When you think about the other characters on the show, it had to be John to go. He was the representation of all that is good in the world and when he changed his mind about ending his life, this death became that much more tragic to me.

I also think that Dakota showing her true colors is a game changer. I was honestly getting tired of the Virginia plot and Dakota may be an even more dangerous threat. She’s clearly a sociopath and it goes to show us how dangerous children can be growing up in this world.

Look at Lydia in TWD. She grew up with a monstrous mother and still managed to turn things around, but she could have easily fallen off the deep end. Dakota is the other end of the spectrum and I am really intrigued by this plot and I have to give it to the writers who really made this twist and reveal work in their favor.

As long as Fear TWD continues on this new path, they will be able to reclaim those moments of sheer perfection I witnessed earlier in the series.

Keep it going, Fear TWD! I can’t wait to see what happens now!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 11 episode 11: “The Fickle Lady is Calling it Quits”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 11 episode 11, we were reminded that “either you run the day or the day runs you.”

Please note major spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In season 11, episode 11, “The Fickle Lady is Calling it Quits,” Ian and Mickey adjust to life on the West Side while Kev and V prepare for their move. Meanwhile, Liam spends the day with Frank to cheer him up and Debbie searches for love.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 11 episode 11 are:

5

“Are we really doing this?”

Kev and V have received an offer on their house and start to prepare for their move to Louisville. Kev is determined to learn as much as he can about Kentucky and even takes out books from the library to brush up on his knowledge. There is a bitter sweet nostalgia throughout the episode as Kev and V take a look at a photo from when they first started working together at the Alibi.

Even though that chapter of their lives is over, they are moving on to a new adventure and as long as they are together, I’m confident they will be happy.

I’m seriously going to miss these two!

4

“I need a life.”

Debbie continues to mope around about her family all moving out and worries about being truly alone. V tries to tell her that she needs to love herself before she can find love, but Tami reminds her that part of her issues come directly from Frank.

Debbie punches Frank in the face and he tells her that she will only find love if she meets someone who is even more of a loser than her so that they will never leave her.

As fate would have it, Debbie meets Heidi, who was recently released from prison and certainly seems to live life on the edge.

I’m not sure if this is the perfect match and I still wish that Sandy would come back, but I guess we have one episode to find out if that’s meant to be or not.

3

“I can’t play this game anymore.”

Carl is asked to apologize to the jerk in the Mercedes and follows along, but he can’t sit by when the man starts saying ignorant things. Carl actually delivers a moving speech and says he wants to stand up for those who don’t have a voice, which lands him to a demotion…as a meter maid.

Carl wants to really be more of a “meter master” and does the best he can with his new job, leading to some hilarious moments but he does bump into Trish who is now extremely pregnant. Is the baby Carl’s?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see if he is also going to be a new father. Either way, I think that the character growth of Carl is worth mentioning.

2

“F*ckin West Side.”

Mickey is not really adjusting to life on the West Side. He hates the bright moon and the lack of street noise at night and ends up spending the night at the Gallagher home just to get some rest. Ian seems to be adjusting to his new life a little easier, but Mickey had me dying laughing during several moments.

After finding out that the apartment will not have furniture, he decides to make a scene at the pool and starts taking the chairs to Ian’s horror.

Later on, Ian tells Mickey that he will stay wherever he wants to make him happy and it looks like Gallavich is going to give this new life a try.

Maybe they can take some furniture from the Gallagher home to make it truly feel like home again!

1

“Let’s have some fun.”

Liam reminds Frank that he is just having a bad morning and tells him that he wants to do “Frank things” for the day to have some fun, which was really sweet…in a Gallagher way.

I think this is just what Frank needed, but at the end of the episode, Frank is shooting up and leaving a note for the Gallagher family.

So, is this it for Frank?

I really don’t want to see Frank go, but I’m also sort of wondering how else we can bring back other characters in the last episode and a funeral makes sense.

Frank told Liam that he lived his life the way he wanted to, but I’m not sure if the Gallagher family is truly ready to say goodbye and neither am I!

Only one episode left to find out how it all ends…

Stay tuned Gallagher fans!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 11 episode 10: “DNR”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 11 episode 10, we were reminded about the importance of family and that there’s nothing worse than being alone…

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In season 11, episode 10, “DNR,” many of the Gallaghers try to find a new place to live, but some are having a tougher time than others. Meanwhile, Liam spends the day with Frank and Kev and V test out life in the south.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 11 episode 10 are:

5

“You’re going down.”

Carl and Officer Tipping respond to a call where a protest is happening with several tenants who have been kicked out of their homes. Carl gets upset when he sees the owner in his shiny Mercedes double parking.

Carl decides to make a difference and arrests him, telling him that he’s everything that is wrong with the world today, but his other officers let the man go and explain that the rich people fund the police and that they can’t just arrest them.

Carl initially thinks he is fired, but later learns that it’s going to take a lot more than that for him to lose his job so it’s safe to say that Carl will be a cop for quite some time.

4

“Happy to help.”

Kev and V initially seem out of place in Louisville while helping V’s mother with her move. However, V starts to realize that she feels right at home there after all and there may even be a new political job on a campaign waiting for her.

Meanwhile, Kev’s hunger leads him to the ultimate bartending gig where he gets to put his oreo drink skills to the test. Kev makes more in tips than he ever has at The Alibi and is told that there is a job waiting for him if he wants it.

It looks like Kev and V are going to move after all. As long as they are together, I’m happy with the outcome, but it looks like everything is coming to an end. Let’s hope they all still stay in touch with the Gallaghers though.

3

“Let’s go for a swim.”

Ian and Mickey find an apartment on the West Side, but Mickey is not sure he is ready for joggers on all sides and domestic beers that cost four bucks. However, the apartment is actually kind of perfect and Ian clearly wants to live there.

Ian reminds Mickey that maybe it’s time they “stop doing shady stuff and grow some tomatoes,” but we know that Gallavich will always be from the Southside no matter what.

It looks like it’s the start of a whole new journey for our favorite couple!

2

“All By Myself.”

The funniest moments of this episode featured Debbie going around with Franny looking for apartments. Debbie is clearly not ready to be without her family and the soundtrack behind her featuring the song, “All By Myself” was pure genius.

After checking out the first apartment, Debbie thinks she wants to move into a room with a big family, but when she learns that the room is all the way out back and she’d be alone, she starts to have some crazy what-if scenarios as well.

I’m curious to see where Debbie ends up and I’m still hopeful that she can work things out with Sandy in the end.

1

“Tough day.”

Liam spends the day with Frank and admits to him that he doesn’t really know how to do this. Liam is the only one who actually likes Frank and it’s certainly a lot for an eleven-year-old to deal with.

Frank later has “Do Not Resuscitate” tattooed onto his chest to make the decision a little easier, but I’m wondering what is actually going to happen to Frank at the end of the series and how it will truly impact the rest of the Gallagher family.

Meanwhile, Lip deals with some struggles of his own and tries to get the house ready for buyers leading to more unexpected bills and a fight with Mickey over a pair of pliers.

Later on, the painting issue is solved when Franny decides to decorate it with stickers and the Gallaghers leave it on a subway.

At least that crisis is solved, but we only have two episodes left to wrap things up.

Stay tuned Gallagher fans!
