Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 11 episode 7: “Two at a Biker Bar, One in the Lake”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 11 episode 7, I learned that sometimes people make different choices and that’s OK.

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In season 11, episode 7, “Two at a Biker Bar, One in the Lake,” the Gallagher family continues to argue over whether or not to sell their home. Meanwhile, Ian and Mickey decide to make new friends, another secret about Sandy is revealed, and Carl has a meltdown during a safety presentation for kids.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 11 episode 7 are:

5

“I’m not living with your family.”

The vote is still undecided, but Tami is ready to move back in with her family until they can get back on their feet. Lip refuses to live with her family; however, and would rather “slit his throat.”

Lip continues to try and convince the rest of the family to sell the house so he can make enough cash, but eventually makes a compromise and applies for a job at an Amazon facility to appease Tami, but it may be too late for that now…

4

“Please don’t let me die.”

Meanwhile, Kev gets into a little bit of trouble when a cop pulls him over riding one of Lip’s stolen bikes. Only she seems more interested in buying the bike and knows exactly where to find Kev thanks to his T-shirt.

Kev decides to move the bikes, but things get tricky, causing him to actually ride one into Lake Michigan.

There goes twenty grand…

3

“I guess you’re a better person than I am.”

After the reveal about Sandy’s husband, we now discover that she also has a son named Prince. Prince is actually pretty adorable, but Sandy says that she doesn’t want to be his mom.

This strikes a nerve with Debbie, who has given up everything for her own daughter. She tries to tell Sandy that she can’t just abandon her child, but Sandy tries to explain that she was just trying to figure out who she was and brings up some of Debbie’s emotional baggage in the process.

2

“If I need friends, you need friends.”

Gallavich continues to bring us some hilarious moments as they come to an agreement that they need to make some new gay friends. After striking out a few times, they meet a gay couple and are invited to a book signing.

Mickey works on his dazzling smile and the two eventually decide that this may not be the best place for them, although they put on a showstopping number of “Rain On Me.”

More please!

“Let’s just vote and be done with it.”

Easier said than done, as the vote ends up being tied. The arguing continues, but Lip decides to walk in with a sledge hammer and start forcing his “open floor plan” on everyone. Frank eventually stumbles into the chaos and has been dealing with his own issues throughout the episode, but he seems temporarily relieved to see his family.

At the very of the episode, the cops are looking for Lip and Debbie confirms that he is inside, which means that things are about to go from bad to worse for Lip.

Let’s see how this all turns out…

Stay tuned, Gallagher fans!

I hope you enjoyed the recap and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Shameless in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

My Ship of the week ending 1/18/20 on TV goes to…

Ian Gallagher and Mickey Milkovich on Showtime’s Shameless, also known as Gallavich!

Shameless may be coming to an end after season 11, but it looks like Gallavich is destined for the happily ever after they deserve.  Oh and “save the f*cking speech you Pussy.”

**Please note some spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up on the series.**

Over the years of watching Shameless, there have been three couples to really stand the test of time for me:  Kev and V, Fiona and Jimmy, and Ian and Mickey.  Kev and V continue to keep the laughs coming while being there for one another unconditionally, but after Jimmy’s heartbreaking departure, I was truly worried about the fate of Gallavich.

Fear not, as our favorite couple was reunited in season 9 when Ian was sent to prison.  I mean, it must be true love if someone is willing to get thrown in jail for you.  After Fiona’s departure at the end of season 9, Ian became a season regular again in season 10, providing us Gallavich fans with a lot of fantastic and swoon-worthy moments.

It seemed like Ian and Mickey transformed into an old married couple while in jail, but luckily they both returned to Southside to start over.

After Ian’s initial hesitation about marrying Mickey, I was slightly worried that we would have to wait too long for them to come to their senses, but thankfully we were given the episode we have dreamed about with season 10 episode 10, “Now Leaving Illinois.”

Ian hilariously attempted to make Mickey jealous, but ended up overhearing Mickey’s new boyfriend, Byron, talking about him behind his back.  Ian defended Mickey’s honor and we witnessed a fist fight followed by a romantic proposal…Gallavich style, as Mickey hilariously told Ian to save the speech, agreeing to marry him.

It’s about time, Gallavich!!!!!!

What’s next for Gallavich?  It looks like we will get a lot more screen time for these two for the remaining episodes of season 10, as they now have to deal with planning a wedding.  I’m sure that this will go smoothly.

Gallavich proves to be a ship that never fails to touch our hearts and souls.  They never compromise who they are and they are loyal to one another until the end, reminding us what true love is all about.  I can’t wait to see some more crazy adventures with them during the final season of Shameless!

P.S. Shameless writers, if you want to pull out all the stops for the final season, please let Fiona and Jimmy get their happily ever after too!  Fingers crossed!

What are YOUR thoughts on Gallavich?
