Spoiler-Free Review of “They Will Kill You” in Theaters: Zazie Beetz Packs a Punch!

*This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!*

“This is a safe space…”

They Will Kill You is an action-horror comedy film that premiered on March 27th 2026. The film stars Zazie Beetz, Patricia Arquette, Heather Graham, and Tom Felton. It runs for approximately an hour and thirty-five minutes.

An ex-con accepts a job as a housekeeper in a lavish NYC building, but soon discovers that the people residing there are trying to sacrifice her to their satanic cult.

Here is the trailer:

They Will Kill You delivers with fantastic fight scenes and a few welcomed twists to keep you entertained. Is it worthy of your next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Sylish, well-choreographed fight scenes.

If you like films like, The Raid, Boy Kills World, and Bullet Train, then this is right up your alley. The fight scenes were fantastic and there were plenty of gruesome and bloody moments. The humor also worked well so that the material didn’t become too stale by the end.

Zazie Beetz is fantastic!!!

She dominated this film in the best way possible. This was clearly such a physical and powerful role and I thought she was believable and definitely one to root for. She was bad-ass and then some! Wow!

The other characters were fun to watch as well. I always love seeing Heather Graham show up in horror films.

The Cons:

No real plot…

Look, I knew this film was going to be about action and it delivered in that aspect. However, the majority of the film is filled with very loud music accompanied with fight scenes so if you’re expecting a well-layered plot, you won’t get that here.

There was a story-line at the back end of everything, but it wasn’t fleshed out enough. I still cared enough about the characters, but I could tell that wasn’t the goal of this movie.

So am I in or out?

I’m in!!

They Will Kill You is mindless fun with a strong female lead to root for against all odds.

DON’T TAKE THE JOB…

It was only supposed to be temporary…but when Olivia Crewe accepts a new position that seems too good to be true, she soon discovers that twelve other girls previously had the same job as her. Only none of them lasted for more than thirty days. No notice. Nothing…right before they mysteriously disappeared without a trace.

Spoiler-Free Review of “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen” on Netflix: A Chilling Horror Series Worth your Time

**This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!**

“Are you sure he’s the one?”

Something Very Bad is Going to Happen is a limited horror series featuring eight episodes available to stream now on Netflix. It stars Camila Morrone, Adam DiMarco, Gus Birney, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Karla Crome, and Jeff Wilbusch. Each episode runs for approximately 42-48 minutes.

Rachel and Nicky head to his family home for their wedding, but Rachel begins to sense something ominous surrounding her big day. She soon finds out about a deadly curse if she doesn’t marry her true soulmate by sundown on her wedding day.

Here is the trailer:

Something Very Bad is Going to Happen has a familiar, but eerie enough premise to draw you in, leading up to a jaw-dropping conclusion. Is this series worthy of your next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

An eerie mystery.

In a lot of ways, this show reminded me of a Mike Flanagan series. I mean that as a compliment. There was this eerie gothic vibe that trickled through the entire series. I was completely hooked by the time I got to episode three and I thought the mystery surrounding the curse was a solid one.

Shocking ending.

I thought I had this one all figured out, but it definitely took an unexpected turn at the end. I’m still thinking about the ending. There will be no spoilers in this review, but wow…

Things didn’t turn out exactly as I expected them to, but I think this was for the best, helping this series stand out a little bit more in a unique way.

The Cons:

Images courtesy of Netflix

Nothing new here.

This film definitely had similar vibes to It Follows and Final Destination: Bloodlines. This isn’t a bad thing, but it’s a plot I’ve seen before. That being said, I still think it was executed exceptionally well. The overall sense of dread in this series was definitely captured and there were a few stand-out episodes that were presented in such a compelling way.

I also think this series could have been a little shorter. I think we could have wrapped everything up in six episodes, but I did find this one very easy to binge-watch.

So am I in or out?

I’m in!!!

Something Very Bad is Going to Happen nails its creepy, sinister vibe with a layered mystery at its core worth exploring.

This was a solid watch if you’re a fan of horror series.

Spoiler-Free Review of “Forbidden Fruits” in Theaters: A Juicy, Witchy Treat!

**This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!**

“Being a witch is being a sister…”

Forbidden Fruits premiered in select theaters on March 27th 2026. The horror fantasy comedy film stars Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, and Gabrielle Union. It runs for approximately an hour and forty-three minutes.

At the Free Eden mall shop, Apple runs a coven with the other female employees, but when a new hire threatens her control over the sisterhood, tensions begin to flare.

Here is the trailer:

Forbidden Fruits has a cheeky premise with sprinkles of gory charm mixed in for good measure, making this a bewitching watch from start to finish. Is it worthy of your next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Stacked cast!

When I initially saw the cast for this film, I knew it would be something special. I was right. This cast delivered in all the right ways. Lili Reinhart was out of this world! Dark Betty was at her peak! Seriously, please start putting her in more movies. She is an underrated force that deserves to flourish in film.

Victoria Pedretti was a lot of fun as well. I’ve never seen her in a role like this before so it was great seeing her range. Her quirky charm really worked well here, clashing with Regina George-esque, Apple.

Oh and make sure you stick around for the end credit scene to see an icon show up!

Understood the assignment.

This film didn’t take itself too seriously. It embraced some camp and just went all out with its silly, but very entertaining plot. I loved the vibe of this film. As a fan of movies like The Craft, Jawbreaker, and Mean Girls, this film embraced that vibe with style, but also found its own voice.

The fashion was on point (especially Lili Reinhart’s wardrobe) and everything felt so nostalgic and cozy with its mall setting. It’s like this movie was made for me and I enjoyed every moment of it.

The Cons:

Images courtesy of Shudder

Needed to dip a little bit more into the witchy side.

Don’t get me wrong…I absolutely adored this movie. However, I think it could have benefited from just a touch more ritual and magic, but that’s only because I was thoroughly enjoying being immersed into this world and I wanted more. When I got to the end of the movie, I was already ready for a sequel.

So am I in or out?

I’m in 100 percent!

Forbidden Fruits is the perfect addition to the girly horror genre. Think Mean Girls meets The Craft with a delicious attitude of its own.

This film may not be for everyone, but I had the best time watching it and it is already one of my favorite films of the year.

I hope you enjoyed the review and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Forbidden Fruits in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Spoiler-Free Review of “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” in Theaters: Samara Weaving & Kathryn Newton Make a Bloody Fun Team!

**This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!**

“To surviving till dawn…again.”

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come released in theaters on March 20th 2026. The horror sequel film stars Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy and Elijah Wood. The film runs for approximately an hour and fifty minutes.

Picking up right where we left off, Grace is rushed to the hospital where she is reunited with her sister, Faith. Only they soon discover that the game is far from over and are tossed right into a new one with even higher stakes as powerful families fight over who can kill them first.

Here is the trailer:

The Pros:

Talk about a dream team…

I was beyond excited when I found out that Kathryn Newton was cast as Grace’s sister and wow did she deliver! This should really come as no surprise since she’s wonderful in everything, but these two together were an unstoppable force. I couldn’t get enough of them! Their banter was a lot of fun and they were really bad-ass too. I’ll take 10 more movies of these two covered in blood.

The rest of the cast was amazing as well. Sarah Michelle Gellar ALWAYS understands the assignment! It was such a great experience seeing her on the big screen again.

So much fun!

Similar to the first movie, this film had the perfect balance of horror and comedy, making this an absolute blast to experience. I plan on seeing this several more times in the theater. This film recognized the stakes and just went all out with it and that ending was out of this world! Loved every second of it!

The Cons:

I wanted a touch more screen time for some of the other players.

I really don’t have many cons for this movie. I absolutely loved it from start to finish. If I had to nitpick, I would say that some of the other players deserved a little more screen time, but I didn’t need this film to be any longer than it was.

I was also expecting a post-credit scene to tie up a loose end, but we didn’t get one. Oh well…

So am I in or out?

I’m in 100 percent!!!!

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is an absolute blast, delivering just as much as the original film with plenty of laughs and bloody moments galore.

Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton are FANTASTIC together!

Spoiler-Free Review of “Wuthering Heights” in Theaters: A Pretty Rendition

**This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!**

“I will never leave you no matter what you do…”

Wuthering Heights released in theaters on February 13th 2026. The Gothic love story film (based on the novel by Emily Brontë) stars Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, Shazad Latif, Hong Chau, and Alison Oliver. The film runs for approximately two hours and fifteen minutes.

After being raised together as children, Catherine and Heathcliff fall madly in love with one another, but as the years go by, Catherine realizes that she has a decision to make between true happiness and wealth and stability.

Here is the trailer:

Wuthering Heights is gorgeous from start to finish in every detail, but does it do enough to be worthy of YOUR next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Images courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures

Beautiful to look at.

Every scene took my breath away in the best way possible. From the scenery to Margot Robbie’s wardrobe, to the lighting used…every inch of this film was dipped in sheer beauty. It felt like I had stepped into a painting featuring the famous moors. I was honestly very impressed by how well this film captured the aesthetics it was going for.

Well done!

Margot Robbie was fantastic.

I have read this novel many times and have to say that I was very pleased with Margot Robbie’s portrayal of Catherine. I thought that she was magnetic on screen. The chemistry between her and Elordi was electric. The passion was certainly there and while it may have been a little overkill at times, I thought that both actors really channeled a lot here. The love between them felt destructive and ethereal at the same time.

The Cons:

Needed to dig a little deeper…

My only issue with this film is that it glossed over a lot of the important themes in the novel. I needed it to touch on a little bit more to convince me. This is one of the most famous love stories and while there was certainly passion and tragedy thrown in, I also felt like we needed some more gut-wrenching moments to truly sell me on it.

Seeing tears and then a gorgeous shot in the sunlight of someone leaving isn’t enough for me to understand just how much this impacts the characters. I know it does because I read the novel, but for someone just watching the film, they probably needed something with more grit and substance to fully comprehend the love story portrayed.

So am I in or out?

I’m in…

Wuthering Heights is a solid enough version of this classic love story with believable performances, undeniable chemistry, and exquisite scenery.

While I had some issues with this film, I still enjoyed my watch overall.

I hope you enjoyed the review and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Wuthering Heights in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!
