Veronica Lodge and Archie Andrews on Riverdale, better known as Varchie! I was beyond heartbroken when these two split up, as it seemed like fate continued to defy them. Veronica and Archie sort of remind me of Romeo and Juliet. They have a beautiful and passionate love, but some things are way beyond their control. But can they learn from their past mistakes? Varchie’s biggest problem was Veronica’s father, Hiram Lodge, and it looks like the feud between Archie and Hiram is not even close to being over. I’m not sure that challenging him to a boxing match will solve all their problems, but it will be interesting to see if Varchie can survive this.
I have been seeing some sparks flying between Veronica and Archie for quite some time now and Josie’s departure has only brought them even closer together. Josie recognized that her and Archie were not end game, but there is something really epic about Varchie. Archie asks Veronica to the prom as friends, but their slow dance suggested that their love is not over just yet. I’ve been rooting for these two to get back together for quite some time, but let’s hope that they are able to recognize what is truly important.
What’s next for Varchie? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out, but we will have to see if they are able to overcome the family drama and prioritize their relationship. Veronica has been there for Archie every step of the way, but he also broke her heart and she may need some time to heal. As long as Archie stops blaming himself for literally everything, perhaps he can see that he does deserve happiness with Veronica. I can’t wait to see what happens next for these two!
