Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 11 episode 5: “Slaughter”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 11 episode 5, I learned that moving is never easy…especially when you may have a haunted house to deal with…

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In season 11, episode 5, “Slaughter,” Lip and Tami are forced to look for a new house without any notice. Meanwhile, V goes door-to-door, Frank attempts to eliminate their neighbor problem for good, and Ian and Mickey face some issues during their new job.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 11 episode 5 are:

5

“How to be a good neighbor…”

Frank has had enough and wants to get rid of the Milkovich family for good. V tries to give him some advice and suggests that they talk to each other reasonably. Only things don’t go extremely well when one of them literally gets branded in front of them while the other begins cooking up a dead deer on their lawn. Kev points out that it is basically like living next to the Manson family, but Frank is determined to break in and take the owner off of life support so that the Milkovich family will have no choice but to vacate the premises.

Only that old lady is a fighter and grabs Frank by the balls when he tries to turn off her life support. Looks like the problem will continue for now.

4

“You know this guy?”

Ian and Mickey seem to be getting along a little bit better now that they are working together, but when they get held up by Mickey’s cousin, they are forced to think outside the box. This leads to them borrowing an ambulance and stumbling upon a dead body in the back…romantic!

Either way, I love seeing adventures with Ian and Mickey!

3

“I don’t even know where she lives…”

After discovering that Sandy has a car, Debbie starts to realize that she doesn’t really know that much about her new girlfriend…like at all.

She decides to use Franny’s tracker and is overly concerned when she discovers that Sandy is spending most of the day at a strip club.

Later on, Sandy explains that she bartends there and doesn’t really have a place to live. Debbie seems ready to open up to her as well, but we are thrown for another loop when Sandy’s angry husband shows up outside…she’ll explain later.

As Franny said, “you have been served!”

2

“They called it the Slaughter house before the murders.”

Lip and Tami quickly learn that their house is up for sale. They need to find a new place to live and actually find a cheap place to look at, but there is something going on with this house.

Later on, Kev hilariously explains that there were murders that took place there and that the family was named “Slaughter.” People still hear a baby crying, but it doesn’t look like it is going to scare off Lip and Tami.

Only Lip gets fired from his job and may be going down a dark path now. Let’s hope he doesn’t spiral completely out of control…

1

“Not today, rednecks!”

Liam has been tortured by the Milkovich family and their racist dog and he has finally had enough. Carl shows him how to use a gun and he decides to shoot it into the air.

Only the bullet actually comes back down and lands on Mr. Milkovich’s head. Is he dead? Is he alive?

I don’t know but things are about to get crazy…

Stay tuned, Gallagher fans!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 11 episode 4: “NIMBY”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 11 episode 4, I learned that having a difficult neighbor could turn your life into a living hell, but living next to the Milkovich family is like “living next door to a nuclear waste dump.”

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In season 11, episode 4, “NIMBY,” Frank, Liam, and Kev team up to try and get the Milkovich family to move out of the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Debbie and V face off during the Little Miss Southside contest and Lip meets Tami’s old teacher.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 11 episode 4 are:

5

“Are we brunch people now?”

Lip begrudgingly agrees to meet Tami’s old teacher during brunch, but things start to get weird when he realizes that there are some old feelings lingering in the air. Tami tries to tell Lip he is way off, but later admits to dating her teacher when she was younger.

When her teacher returns with his new fiancee who is still in high school, Tami starts to see things as they really are. Good thing she has Lip right there by her side. I’m still not completely convinced by Lip and Tami’s relationship and I’m hoping that something sparks soon especially since it is the last season.

4

“I’m the boss.”

After Ian quits his job, Mickey agrees to hire him, but Ian doesn’t want to do anything illegal. This leads to some hilarious moments involving Gallavich decked out in military uniforms while performing their security run. The gig doesn’t really seem to pay that much, but it looks like they may have just stumbled upon a gold mine…

3

“We gotta figure out how to stop them.”

Frank is determined to get his new neighbors to move out and enlists the help of both Liam and Kev, making quite the team.

After several failed attempts, Liam breaks in to try and get the old lady residing there to give them some incriminating evidence, but all they get is way too much information about her sex life with Mr. Milkovich. So much for that.

2

“A little friendly competition never hurt anyone…”

It’s clear that Deb and V are way more invested in the results of the little Miss Southside contest than their daughters, but they both take things a little bit too far. Debbie is outraged when V calls a time limit on Franny, which causes her to convince Franny to give Gemma a makeover with a permanent marker to get back at her.

V actually gives quite the inspiring speech, but neither daughter ends up winning. At least their friendship is not ruined and it looks like V may have a new job opportunity now.

1

“Thank you Officer Gallagher.”

Carl is beyond excited to return for his next day of work and is “erect for police work,” but starts to have second thoughts when he ends up having to arrest people he knows from the neighborhood. His partner tries to give him a reality check, but she does take things too far on more than one occasion.

After making one suspect take off her wig and dress, Carl decides to do the right thing and return them to her. He even gives her a new carton of cigarettes and tells her where she can set up shop without getting into trouble. The act is genuine and really shows the character growth of Carl over the years.

Thank you Officer Gallagher!

Stay tuned Gallagher fans!
