Spoiler-Free Review of “Welcome to Eden” Season 2 on Netflix: The Twists and Betrayals are far from over!

**This is a spoiler-free review for season 2 so feel free to read on!**

“Paradise is on hold…”

Welcome to Eden (Bienvenidos a Edén) season 2 premiered on Netflix on April 21st 2023 with eight episodes available to stream now. The Spanish thriller series stars Amaia Aberasturi, Belinda, Amaia Salamanca, and Sergio Momo. Each episode runs for approximately 42-52 minutes.

Zoa and her friends continue to fight for survival on the island, but things get more complicated when some new arrivals shake things up.

Here is the trailer:

Welcome to Eden season 2 picks up right where it left off with soapy thrills, insane twists, and a crazy cult that may have you rethinking your next vacation. Is it worthy of your next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

The intense twists continue!

Season 1 did a fantastic job with this and I wasn’t sure if season 2 would be able to keep up, but it really goes all out and throws in some edge-of-your-seat moments that had me holding my breath!

This show is not afraid to kill off characters and it’s far from predictable, giving the audience plenty of guilty pleasure thrills to keep them binge-watching until the very end.

Couples to root for.

The character dynamics and relationships on this show really keep you invested. You care about what happens to these characters and there are some ships that will really make you swoon and then some.

The Cons:

A LOT to keep track of!

I highly recommend re-watching the first season prior to watching this or at least watching the recaps. I was a little lost in the first episode, but luckily everything started to come back to me by the time we got to episode 2.

That being said, there are a lot of sub-plots and tons of characters to keep track of. While I have come to expect the soapy and steamy fluff in this series, I thought they went a little overboard here at times. The episodes could have been a little bit shorter to keep the pacing going.

So am I in or out?

I’m in!!!!

While not as strong as season 1, season 2 doesn’t hold back and gives us plenty of shocking and steamy moments to enjoy. Fingers crossed that we get a season 3!

A VACATION TO DIE FOR…

Blood Rose Island Ad

When sisters, Nina and Gemma are vacationing in Hawaii with their friends, they get invited to an exclusive party on a private island that seems too good to be true. There’s only one rulethey can’t miss their ferry at midnight or they’ll have to wait until morning to leave the island. Only they didn’t realize that breaking this rule meant they would be hunted down on the island one by one.

Who will make it off the island alive?

I hope you enjoy my new island thriller!

Ranking my Top 10 Television Shows of 2022: Which Shows Made The Cut?

It’s that time of year again! As we get closer and closer to approaching 2023, I thought it would be the perfect time to count down my Top 10 TV Shows of 2022.

While some returning shows continued strong, others fell off slightly. Meanwhile, some other new shows completely captivated my attention, paving their way into my top 10.

Without any further delay, let’s get to my list!

My Top 10 Television Shows of 2022 are:

10

Peacemaker

I didn’t know how I felt about this particular character getting a spin-off series at first, but this show was an absolute blast to watch. It had lots of action, humor, and amazing supporting characters that stole the show at times.

9

Stay Close

My top ten list wouldn’t feel complete without adding a Harlan Coben series and Stay Close did an exceptional job of hooking the audience from the very start with surprising reveals, insane twists, and two wacky villains who somehow made everything work seamlessly.

8

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin

After a few other PLL spin-off series, I managed my expectations with this one, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Pretty Little Liars always had undertones of a teen slasher and this series made it a reality, bringing us some intense chase scenes and a solid mystery surrounding our new characters.

7

The Summer I Turned Pretty

Whether you’re a fan of the book series or watching this for the first time, you’re in for a beautiful and emotional ride. At first glance, this series seemed like every other coming-of-age teen series on television, but it quickly stood out with moving performances and characters to root for.

6

Only Murders in the Building (season 2)

Season one was absolutely fantastic to watch and I was thrilled that our beloved trio was back for season two. While it didn’t pack the same punch as the first season, it was still a lot of fun with a decent mystery at its core.

5

Wednesday

Jenna Ortega was so incredible in this series! I loved the vibe of this show. It really allowed the character of Wednesday to shine with a welcomed YA feel that never overdid it with the teen drama. This was such a delightful treat!

4

Better Call Saul (final season)

Incredible performances, a satisfying ending, and some truly intense moments that made television history. This series was absolutely fantastic and I will miss watching it!

3

All of Us Are Dead

I didn’t think I needed another coming-of-age zombie series, but this South Korean series was one of the best shows I have watched in a long time. It was brutal and bloody with incredible characters. I absolutely loved this one and could not stop watching it!

2

The White Lotus (season 2)

Season two was much better than season one. The characters were fantastic with a returning favorite and the mystery was much more interesting this time around. I loved the setting and that ending was incredible!

Honorable Mentions:

Ozark (final season)

The Flight Attendant (season 2)

Archive 81

Killing Eve (final season)

Who Killed Sara? (final season)

What We Do In the Shadows (season 4)

Welcome to Eden

Drum roll please…

1

Stranger Things (season 4)

Season four was jam-packed with so many epic moments! I loved the 80’s horror vibe and the music was the best it’s ever been. Season four really allowed some of its characters to shine while giving some newcomers a chance to light up the screen as well in the best way possible. This show is always so entertaining, but season four took things to the next level!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts and comments about your favorite television shows of 2022. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing in the new year!

Spoiler-Free Review of “Welcome to Eden” on Netflix: The Price of Exclusivity

**This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!**

“I can help you be happy…”

Welcome to Eden (Bienvenidos a Edén) premiered on Netflix on May 6th 2022 with eight episodes available to stream now. The Spanish thriller series stars Amaia Aberasturi, Belinda, Amaia Salamanca, and Sergio Momo. Each episode runs for approximately 40-45 minutes.

After being invited to an exclusive party on a remote island, Zoa and four others are left behind, as they soon start to realize that this may have been intentional.

Here is the trailer:

Welcome to Eden has a killer premise and an attractive cast, but does it do enough to find its own identity separate from shows like The WildsLet’s find out…

The Pros:

Guilty pleasure worthy.

This series was a lot of fun. I loved the party in the beginning and even though it’s a plot I’ve seen before, there was still enough happening to draw me in. The next time you get some mystery invite to a remote island, you may want to think twice…

Twists and reveals worth sticking around for.

I didn’t start to really connect to this series until about episode four. Once I got there, I was completely hooked and I had to know what happened next. It was fun figuring out who I could trust and who was a potential villain.

The Cons:

The characters needed more development…

This series reminded me a lot of The Wilds and Nine Perfect Strangers except it was missing some real character development. We got some sprinkles of it here and there, but a lot of it felt really superficial.

I also thought that the thrilling moments needed to be coated with more edge. I wanted this series to be a little bit more brutal and dangerous than it was. It was still an enjoyable guilty pleasure watch, but it had the potential to be a lot more.

So am I in or out?

I’m in!!!!

This series was so addicting and a lot of fun. It may have been a bit outrageous and silly at times, but if you enjoy guilty pleasure thrillers, then you’re in the right place!

I hope you enjoyed the review and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Welcome to Eden in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!
