Happy Monday TV fans! After watching BBC America’s Killing Eve season 3 episode 4, I learned that “it’s all about choices.” Sometimes you think you are in control of your own destiny, but when other powers are at work, that feeling of helplessness becomes inevitable.
Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.
In last night’s episode, “Still Got It,” it’s Eve’s birthday and Villanelle has figured out the perfect way to surprise her. Meanwhile, another character’s fate is determined after The Twelve plots to get between Villaneve.
My top 5 moments from Killing Eve season 3 episode 4 are:
5
“Happy Birthday, Eve.”
Eve is completely obsessed with finding out more about Kenny’s murder and Villanelle’s new involvement, but it is her special day. Villanelle remembers her birthday and sends her a cake bus that doesn’t exactly sit well with Eve.

Eve throws the cake over the side of a building in frustration, revealing that she hasn’t really dealt with their latest encounter.
First, the stuffed animal and now the cake? Come on, Eve! Seriously, how cute is that cake? It’s the thought that counts…

“So I’m getting promoted?”
Villanelle jams out while baking a cake, but the end result doesn’t turn out so well. Dasha comes to visit her and asks her about what happened with Eve. Villanelle tries to play it cool, but is beyond excited when Dasha implies that she may be getting a new assignment or a promotion.

Dasha tells Villanelle to stay put and she’s happy to bring her killer skills to a shopping spree, but can Villanelle really stay in one place that long?

“I need you to do something for me…”
After having some fun testing Konstatin’s patience, he reveals that he has found Villanelle’s family, but he needs her to do something for him first.
Konstantin constantly puts his own daughter on hold during this episode as does Carolyn. We know that their involvement in The Twelve takes priority, but what happens when they lose everyone they care about in the process?
2
“Try again…”
Villanelle’s latest hit takes place in a garden, but her hiccups get in the way. After her target tries to scare her to get rid of her hiccups, this leads to an interesting game between the two of them and it’s clear that Villanelle is having a lot of fun.

Villanelle strangles the poor woman with a hose, but sadly her hiccups are still present…
1
“Drive a wedge between them…”
It may have seemed slightly out of place for Niko to get some screen time in the beginning of the episode, which should have been our first clue that something was very wrong here. We learn that Dasha has followed Niko to Poland, swiping his phone so that she can lure Eve to him.

After being instructed by a representative from The Twelve to get Villanelle back on track by driving a wedge between her and Eve, Dasha takes it upon herself to frame Villanelle.
Eve arrives, thinking that Niko has agreed to talk things out with her, but Dasha is waiting with a pitchfork, stabbing poor Niko before Eve has the chance to say much of anything.
She leaves a note on his body, “Still Got It,” framing Villanelle. Sorry Baby…
Eve is completely shattered and in shock, as she watches poor Niko bleed out.
After losing Kenny, we have now lost another main character. I can’t say that I am completely surprised since Niko’s story has really played out, but I guess it was too much to ask to allow him to have a peaceful life as a baker in Poland. Sorry, Niko.
Now that these chess pieces have been strategically moved into place, what’s next? How will Eve react? What will Villanelle do when she finds out that she is being framed?
It looks like Villanelle will also be reunited with her family in next week’s episode. It will be interesting to see how they react to her return. I can’t wait for that!
Stay tuned!

Poor Niko 🙁 I’m honestly surprised he survived this long however and didn’t die at Villanelle’s hands!
I know! I still felt bad but there’s not really much of a story-line for him anymore.
Killing Eve is wonderful but I can’t read this until I catch up with you. 🙂
I’m just starting season 2.
