Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 11 episode 2: “Go Home, Gentrifier!”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 11 episode 2, I learned that going into business with Frank Gallagher can be risky, but he does know what he is doing…

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In season 11, episode 2, “Go Home, Gentrifier,” Kev and V decide to team up with Frank to make some more sales from their new weed business. Meanwhile, Deb wants to throw a princess birthday party for Franny and Carl starts his first day on the force.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 11 episode 2 are:

5

“First day on the job.”

Carl is more than excited to start his first day on the job, but his new partner doesn’t really want to rush into danger. His idea of the perfect day involves jamming out to “Shake That Ass,” enjoying a nice meal with his mom and getting in a quick nap at Best Buy while responding to fake calls.

Carl wants to actually experience some action, but changes his tune slightly when his new partner agrees to buy him one drink. Only his new partner starts chugging beer and ends up having a heart attack while having sex with a police groupie.

It looks like Carl may be getting a new partner after all…

4

“A Gallagher lives here!”

Lip is upset when he returns home and finds out that his windows have been broken and trash is dumped on his yard. Lip has really been trying to make an effort on his new home and asks his neighbor to keep an eye out.

Later in the episode, Lip and Tami discover that his neighbor and her friends were the ones messing up their house because they don’t want the property taxes to go up. The front garden was looking really nice, Lip!

3

“Shut the f*ck up Jerome!”

Mickey still doesn’t seem overly motivated to get a job, but Ian tells him that there will be no more sex until he does. After watching TV all morning, Mickey sees a hilarious ad from Jerome asking him what he is doing with his life. Mickey seems somewhat inspired, but tells Jerome to shut up.

Shameless season 11 episode 2 Mickey finds a job

Images courtesy of Showtime

After failing his “role playing” interview at the warehouse, Mickey decides to put his entrepreneur skills to the test to make some money on the expired food that is being tossed out, but Ian still tells him he needs a new job.

I’m confident that there is the perfect job out there for Mickey, but it may be a little while until he finds his true calling. Gotta love his enthusiasm though!

2

“What could be more fun than that?”

It’s Franny’s fifth birthday and she is initially very excited, but it looks like Debbie is the one who truly wants to throw a princess party. After finding the perfect decorations at the dollar store, Debbie is extremely disappointed when the bouncy house arrives with a Count Dracula theme.

Shameless season 11 episode 2 Debbie wants a princess party

Images courtesy of Showtime

Franny actually seems to love it, but Debbie wants a princess one, revealing that perhaps this party is really more for her…

Later on, the princess sing-along gets a little stale, but luckily Uncle Mickey shows up with a gun to win over Franny.

1

“I would feel the same way if I was going into business with me…”

V is out of weed and is worried about how they will continue making their new edibles, but Kev suggests that they go into business with the “illegal drug connoisseur,” Frank Gallagher.

Frank tells them they can go for a trial run, but his product is actually pretty impressive and brings in a lot of money. After the trial run is over, Frank reminds them that he did most of the work and changes the cut.

V thinks that they should try and get the product themselves, but Frank is one step ahead of them and now changes the split to 70/30.

Going into business with Frank can have its rewards, but Frank is ready to defend his skills if necessary. Watch out, V!

Stay tuned Gallagher fans!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 11 episode 1: “This Is Chicago”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 11 episode 1 season premiere, it’s’ time for last call for the Gallagher gang! While it’s bitter sweet for one of my favorite shows to come to an end, I have to say that what they have already done with the season premiere is pure genius. It’s not easy integrating the pandemic into a show, but somehow the Gallaghers did it perfectly, allowing us to kick back and get some much needed entertainment!

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In season 11, episode 1, “This Is Chicago,” Frank has somehow managed to get someone to film a documentary about his life and the history of the Gallagher family. Meanwhile, the rest of the family adjust to life during the pandemic.

My top 5 moments from the Shameless season 11 premiere are:

5

“You’re a natural born ass kicker.”

Who would have thought that little Carl would have grown up to be a police officer? I can’t say that I predicted that, but Carl has come a long way and his hard work is about to pay off. Sure, he may have flunked the written, but he is a “natural born ass kicker” and he’s ready to prove his worth.

Shameless Carl season 11 episode 1

Get em Carl!

4

“We’re a family business now.”

The pandemic has made it tough for Kev and V to keep the Alibi going (although they have their exit strategy planned to perfection), but they have a new business to pay their bills. Now that weed has been legalized in Chicago, the whole family is ready to contribute….even the girls!

3

“We’re supposed to be making these decisions together.”

After that beautiful Gallavich wedding, Ian and Mickey are quickly learning that being married isn’t easy. “I owe yous” aren’t going to cut it and they need to set some rules and remember to tell each other everything.

Gallavich Shameless season 11

Images courtesy of Showtime

It looks like both Ian and Mickey are willing to try; however, reminding us that our favorite ship is still holding strong. Seriously, I love these two!

2

“Debbie Does Everything!”

Everything? Well, it could have multiple meanings as Liam hilariously points out, but Debbie is ready to get her new business up and running…only she runs into a few problems when her statutory rape charge from Julia gets in the way.

Shameless Debbie Season 11

Images courtesy of Showtime

Due to a clerical error, it states that Julia was 7 instead of 17, which means that pretty much no one will hire her.

Debbie and Sandy are still going strong; however, and Sandy comes up with the genius idea to create an Insta account for Debbie, “Hot Lesbian Convict,” claiming she was wrongfully accused and treated poorly because she is a lesbian.

Debbie’s hot new account is certainly getting a lot of notice and it looks like her business may be safe for now. I have to admit that Debbie may have had the best mug shot I’ve ever seen…

1

“Family looking after family.”

Lip feels like he may have made a mistake with Tami, now recognizing that he is basically her bitch since he rented the house without initially telling her. At the end of the episode, the whole gang shows up at his house and it really did feel like home, however.

I think that season 11 is off to a great start and I can’t wait to see what the Gallagher family does next!

Stay tuned Gallagher fans!

I hope you enjoyed the recap and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Shameless in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 10 episode 12: “Gallavich!”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 10 episode 12 season finale, we knew it was going to be a stressful day, but the Gallaghers refuse to let hate win, reminding us that true love can conquer all…even Mickey’s dad.

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “Gallavich!” Ian and Mickey prepare for their wedding day, but things get complicated when Mickey’s dad decides to burn down their venue.  Meanwhile, Lip tries to get through to Tami, Liam works his magic with Frank, and Julia gets punched in the face.

My top 5 moments from the Shameless season 10 episode 12 season finale are:

5

“You got game son.”

Liam tries to come up with the perfect present for Ian and Mickey and decides that he wants to get them a honeymoon car without spending money, which is where Frank comes into play.  Liam tricks Frank by telling him that they are selling the house, which gets one of Faye’s cars in the right place at the right time.

Frank is impressed with Liam, but tells him he’s not going to the wedding.  Liam reminds him that they don’t expect him to show up to much and actually talks some sense into his father, as Frank arrives to show his support…and to reunite with an old flame.

I thought it was nice that Ian spoke to Debbie about missing Monica, but no mention of Fiona not attending?

4

“You got another mask?”

Tami is furious at Lip for renting the house in Southside without talking to her first and tells him that she is going to take Fred to Milwaukee without him.

Shameless Showtime 4
Images courtesy of Showtime

Lip is beyond heartbroken and resorts to drinking at the wedding, but luckily he shows up at Brad’s door and tells him he needs to find a meeting.

Tami has a change of heart and decides to move in with Lip after all.  I’m not the biggest fan of Tami, but I don’t want Lip to be separated from his son.  We’ll have to see how this all plays out in the final season, but it’s clear that Lip is destined to be a great father and now he’ll get the chance to prove it.

3

“Welcome to the Southside, Julia.”

Julia’s back and now she claims that she is moving in with Debbie.

Shameless Showtim3 6
Images courtesy of Showtime

Sandy has other ideas after her own intimate night with Debbie and punches Julia…right in the face.  It’s not like she didn’t have this coming.  Nice Sandy!

Julia continues to argue with her mom and stirs up some more drama, but it looks like she is moving on to Carl...at least for a casual hookup.  At the end of the episode, the police show up looking for Debbie, charging her with statutory rape since Julia is not 18 yet.  Our girl Debbie Gallagher makes a run for it, but it looks like her love triangle fiasco is now catching up with her.

Run, Debbie!

2

“Ask me fool!”

Kevin Ball’s Keg Zone is really making some impressive progress, as Kev begins to save a stash of money.  He doesn’t initially tell V about it, which makes her suspicious, but we later find out he was saving to buy V…an engagement ring!

Shameless Showtime 3
Images courtesy of Showtime

Kev asks V to marry him after Ian and Mickey’s wedding and it’s about time!  So happy for these two!!!!!!

1

“At last!”

After Mickey’s father burns down The Bamboo Lotus, Ian and Mickey are out of a venue.  Debbie suggests that they “white trash this shit” up, as they pool together their resources.  Eventually, they settle on The Polish Doll, but the owner is not a fan of the LGBTQ community.

Luckily, Lip and Debbie get creative, as Debbie wears a wedding dress, claiming to be the bride.  She keeps the owner distracted with her wedding day jitters while the real wedding takes place.

“At Last” is the perfect song choice, Ian!  We finally get to witness Gallavich earning their first step toward happily ever after as these two tie the knot!

Shameless Showtime 7
Images courtesy of Showtime

The wedding is romantic and perfect and I teared up quite a bit, but we also get some true Gallavich adventure at the end when Mickey’s father tries to shoot up their honeymoon.

It’ll never be quiet for these two, but at least they have each other!

Stay tuned for the final season of Shameless!!!!!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts on Shameless below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 10 episode 11: “Livin’ on a Prayer”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 10 episode 11, Kev reminded us that “the longest part of a journey is always the first step,” and if you don’t believe him, check your fortune cookie.

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “Location, Location, Location,” Debbie gets caught in the middle of Julia and Claudia’s drama while looking quite dapper in her tux.  Meanwhile, Lip has second thoughts about moving, Liam attempts to track down Frank, and Ian and Mickey discuss wedding plans.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 10 episode 11 are:

5

“So we’re not the good cops?”

Carl continues to work undercover to prove that the sanitation department is dirty even though his boss reminds him that he’s not undercover and perhaps he should stop telling people that he is.

Carl is definitely loyal to the cause and reminds his boss that he “took a shit in someone’s house” to keep up appearances, but it looks like he certainly is going to make a great cop one day.

Although, he might want to figure out what side he’s actually on…

4

“I found my calling.”

Kev comes to the realization that he needs a thing, now accepting that he won’t make it into the NBA.  V hilariously reminds him that he was never going to play for the NBA, but Kev is still determined to write his letter of retirement.  I mean, “Dear Basketball” is a great start!

Kev is anxious to discover the next chapter of his life, but V points out that “retirement is for rich people.”  After the husband from the school auction shows up to cash in on his personal training session with Kev, this inspires a new calling, as he decides to train people with…“keg lifts.”

Shameless Showtime 5
Images courtesy of Showtime

It seems like it’s working so far so perhaps Kev has found his thing after all!

3

“Remember, you’re desperately in love with me.”

How could Debbie forget?!  Debbie continues to web a lie of deception, agreeing to go to the homecoming dance with Julia, but of course, Claudia’s birthday dinner is on the same night!

Debbie is convinced that she can swing both and even learns how to tie a bow tie like a champ from Sandy Milkovich, but it’s only a matter of time before she gets caught…

After starting off with an impressive run back and forth, Claudia notices the boutonniere on Debbie’s jacket and of course she recognizes it…since she bought it for her daughter’s date.

Debbie is caught in the middle of this mother-daughter drama and decides to leave them to their rich people problems while she ends up having a blast with Sandy Milkovich.

Shameless Showtime 6
Images courtesy of Showtime

It looks like Debbie is moving on to Sandy, but what will happen when Julia shows up on their doorstep next week?

2

“The other path also led to addiction…”

Well, Frank may be honest here, but at least he’s out of the woods and out of rehab!  Frank is ready to find his next scheme, but he runs into Faye, who tells him that she is going back to Puerto Rico for the winter.

Faye still seems to have some lingering feelings here, but Frank is not about to pass up a new scheme, as he decides to break into Faye’s house and enjoy some relaxation by himself.

Liam eventually tracks him down and Frank reluctantly agrees to sign his paper so he doesn’t get kicked out of school, but Frank now starts to think that Faye’s house may really be haunted after all…

Shameless Showtime 1
Images courtesy of Showtime

After a few close calls, Frank runs into the “yard guy” and they realize that they are both staying there without Faye knowing.  They strike a deal to both stay there and it looks like this may be the start of another beautiful friendship for Frank…

1

“Can’t we just be Ian and Mickey?”

After Mickey’s father threatens him, Mickey is ready to pull out all the stops for the wedding, but Ian just wants things to go smoothly.  Mickey has quite a few thoughts about flowers and song choices, but don’t mess with him when it comes to selecting the perfect chairs…

Shameless Showtime 3
Images courtesy of Showtime

Ian recognizes that Mickey is on edge because of his father, but he tries to be as supportive as he can while reminding Mickey that he does love him.  In a truly romantic moment, Ian gets the guitar player to perform “Livin’ on a Prayer” for Mickey, which seems to get these two back on track.

It looks like we’ll be seeing the wedding in next week’s season finale, but I’m sure we will have to deal with a lot of obstacles along the way.  Well, at least Lip isn’t moving anymore, although this may put a dent in his relationship with Tami…

Stay tuned Gallagher fans!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts on Shameless below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

My Ship of the week ending 1/18/20 on TV goes to…

Ian Gallagher and Mickey Milkovich on Showtime’s Shameless, also known as Gallavich!

Shameless may be coming to an end after season 11, but it looks like Gallavich is destined for the happily ever after they deserve.  Oh and “save the f*cking speech you Pussy.”

**Please note some spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up on the series.**

Over the years of watching Shameless, there have been three couples to really stand the test of time for me:  Kev and V, Fiona and Jimmy, and Ian and Mickey.  Kev and V continue to keep the laughs coming while being there for one another unconditionally, but after Jimmy’s heartbreaking departure, I was truly worried about the fate of Gallavich.

Shameless Showtime
Images courtesy of Showtime

Fear not, as our favorite couple was reunited in season 9 when Ian was sent to prison.  I mean, it must be true love if someone is willing to get thrown in jail for you.  After Fiona’s departure at the end of season 9, Ian became a season regular again in season 10, providing us Gallavich fans with a lot of fantastic and swoon-worthy moments.

It seemed like Ian and Mickey transformed into an old married couple while in jail, but luckily they both returned to Southside to start over.

Shameless Showtime Season 10 1
Images courtesy of Showtime

After Ian’s initial hesitation about marrying Mickey, I was slightly worried that we would have to wait too long for them to come to their senses, but thankfully we were given the episode we have dreamed about with season 10 episode 10, “Now Leaving Illinois.”

Ian hilariously attempted to make Mickey jealous, but ended up overhearing Mickey’s new boyfriend, Byron, talking about him behind his back.  Ian defended Mickey’s honor and we witnessed a fist fight followed by a romantic proposal…Gallavich style, as Mickey hilariously told Ian to save the speech, agreeing to marry him.

Shameless Showtime Season 10 2

It’s about time, Gallavich!!!!!!

What’s next for Gallavich?  It looks like we will get a lot more screen time for these two for the remaining episodes of season 10, as they now have to deal with planning a wedding.  I’m sure that this will go smoothly.

Gallavich proves to be a ship that never fails to touch our hearts and souls.  They never compromise who they are and they are loyal to one another until the end, reminding us what true love is all about.  I can’t wait to see some more crazy adventures with them during the final season of Shameless!

Shameless Showtime 5

P.S. Shameless writers, if you want to pull out all the stops for the final season, please let Fiona and Jimmy get their happily ever after too!  Fingers crossed!

What are YOUR thoughts on Gallavich?

Stay tuned for a recognized Ship on TV each week!

Have a Ship that you think is absolutely swoon-worthy? Feel free to contact me with your nomination for the week by Friday at midnight!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 10 episode 10: “What’s an acronym?”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 10 episode 10, I realized that sometimes you have to say goodbye in order to truly start over.  But is a Gallagher truly ready to leave the Southside behind?

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “Now Leaving Illinois,” Debbie gets caught up in a love triangle with Claudia and Julia.  Meanwhile, Lip and Tami contemplate moving, Liam is threatened with a permanent vacation from school, and Carl discovers that “garbage is dirty.”

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 10 episode 10 are:

5

“I’m a user, not a seller!”

Frank gets caught up in quite the jam after Faye sets him up to wind up in prison, but Frank Gallagher can talk his way out of almost anything.  After helping out the new processing officer and reasoning with the judge, Frank manages to get out of there with some community service and a trip to rehab.

Faye is less than pleased that her “pharmaceutical entrapment” did not work like she anticipated, but are there still some sparks flying between these two?  We know that Frank likes his women on the crazy side, but it looks like he may be preoccupied with his new business venture within the behavioral rehab center.

Frank Gallagher always finds a way to make some fast cash…

4

“We need to get out of here while we still have a chance!”

After Kev determines the definition of an acronym, he heads out with V to a “Win a Date Couples Auction,” which could seal the deal to get their girls into a prestigious academy for kindergarten.

Shameless Showtime 3
Images courtesy of Showtime

After Kev and V are auctioned for $5000, things start to get a little weird and they realize that the couple may actually be swingers.  I guess that’s more believable than Kev’s initial theory about them being hunted down by rich people for sport…

Kev and V weigh the pros and cons and decide to go through with it for their girls, but they are more than surprised when the couple shows up with their son, claiming they want to show him true suffering among the poor so that he is motivated in life.

Perhaps the girls going to public school is not such a bad thing after all…

3

“So you’re doing the mom and the daughter?  Cause that’s hot.”

Well said, Megan!  Megan continues to be a supportive friend to Debbie, but Debbie has certainly gotten herself stuck in a mess of her own.  Claudia seems to be very happy with her and even offers her a job at the house, but Debbie’s sexcapade adventures with Julia may put a hold on this.

Shameless Showtime 2
Images courtesy of Showtime

After Debbie tries to let Julia down gently, Julia threatens to expose her to her mother, so I guess Debbie is going to the homecoming dance after all…

2

“When you know, you know.”

After Ian hilariously tries to bring a date to make Mickey jealous, he winds up with Cole, who certainly lights up every room with his presence.  Ian overhears Byron speaking badly about Mickey and he defends his man’s honor, punching him in the face.

This act of Gallavich love gives Mickey the green light to punch Cole as well, as Ian then proposes to Mickey!  In true Mickey fashion, Ian is told to save the speech and it looks like these two are finally ready to have their happily ever after.

Swoon!

1

“That’s all I got.”

After Lip successfully makes it through his first meeting with Tami’s family, he learns that they want to give them Tami’s grandmother’s house until they can get on their feet.  Sounds perfect, but the house is located in Milwaukee, which is two hours away from Lip’s home.

Lip is initially hesitant, but after they see the place for themselves, Lip starts to realize that this could open so many doors for him and his son.  Lip holds a family meeting of his own and tells the Gallaghers that he is leaving.

Shameless Showtime 1
Images courtesy of Showtime

So, what does this mean for Lip’s character?  We only have two episodes left this season and with Fiona’s departure last season, is Lip now going to make his exit as well?  We’ll have to wait and see how this unfolds, but I do want Lip to finally find the happiness he deserves.

Stay tuned!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts on Shameless below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 10 episode 9: “Gallagher Normal”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 10 episode 9, I learned that a “Gallagher keeps his promise,” but is a promise truly enough for a Milkovich?

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “O Captain, My Captain,” Faye continues to interrogate Frank while the rest of the Gallagher household carries on without him.  Meanwhile, Debbie meets Claudia’s daughter, Lip tries to make some extra cash, and Kev and V’s latest side hustle takes an unexpected turn.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 10 episode 9 are:

5

“Can someone be a hero please?”

Carl continues to take his position very seriously as the youth group leader for the police, but perhaps he should remember that carte blanche doesn’t exactly mean sending these kids to the hospital to prove a point.  It looks like Carl is off to the sanitation department where he can literally clean up the streets of Southside.

4

“I’m a lot more lucid when I’m drunk.”

A fair point for sure, Frank, as Faye (Elizabeth Rodriguez) continues to keep him handcuffed to the bed until he admits that he wronged her former love.  It takes Frank quite a few tries, but once she throws some opioids into the mix, the memories start to come back.

It looks like Faye is not done with Frank just yet, as she drugs him up and leaves him in a car with all of the evidence.  Watch out, Frank!

3

“She’s a terror. Stay strong.”

After Debbie and Claudia try out using the commitment friendly word, “girlfriend,” it seems like things are going in the right direction.  That is, until Debbie crosses paths with Claudia’s teenage daughter, Julia.

Julia explains that her mother constantly tells her that she is fat and convinces Debbie to help her skip out on the dreaded Spin Class so that they can get some fried food instead.

After Julia kisses Debbie, it looks like she is now in a world of trouble.  I can’t see this ending well, but it looks like this family love triangle will continue in next week’s episode.

At least Debbie has cleared up the hooker confusion.

2

“How do you know you love me?”

After Ian basically leaves Mickey at the altar, Mickey decides to move out and move on.

Shameless Showtime Episode 9 2

Ian recognizes what Mickey is doing and tries to make it up to him by buying a promise ring, but Mickey is not so impressed.

Ian is clearly scared of marriage, but his love for Mickey transcends this so I hope that these two can figure things out before it’s too late!  We’re rooting for you, Gallavich!

1

“Nurse V’s Jiffy Care!”

“Naked breasts don’t exactly say quality health care,” but Kev does make the point that they could if their new medical side hustle includes mammograms.  The maid service van is cleverly turned into Nurse V’s Jiffy Care, as V decides to bring some cheap and needed healthcare to the Southside.

It seems like business is booming, but things get complicated when a fifteen-year-old girl from out of state is in need of an abortion.  V gets creative with her new doctor friend to do all she can to help these girls in need, but it looks like they are now getting quite the reputation.

Perhaps they need to come up with a new side hustle.  Either way, I’m always on team Kev and V!  More please!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 10 episode 8: “Debbie Might Be a Prostitute”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 10 episode 8, I realized that if you’re a Gallagher, “always lie.”  Seems like an easy motto to follow when in doubt…

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “Debbie Might Be a Prostitute,” Debbie realizes that there may have been a miscommunication between her and Claudia.  Meanwhile, Carl, Liam, and Kev and V try out new business ideas, Tami and Lip have trouble finding a sitter for baby Freddy, and Frank investigates a haunted house with Faye.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 10 episode 8 are:

5

“This is my calling.”

After Carl’s attempt to clean up the streets of Southside, he now realizes that he wants to find his true purpose in life.  Carl wants to become a cop, but is too young, but that is not going to stop him.  After a failed attempt to show a fake ID, the cops tell him that they have the perfect opportunity for him.

Carl is now the leader of the youth committee and he is ready to whip these kids into shape, showing off his three skills:  Choking things, good with weapons, and a buttload of rage in his heart.  I mean, that would really make any resume stand out.

4

“What do real people do with money?”

After getting an unexpected check from the IRS for $825, Kev and V are ready to be smart about their money.  Only they end up getting involved in a pyramid scheme for EscarGold, which is some kind of eye face mask thing that burns their faces off.

Kev and V are stuck now, but that is not going to stop them from being inventive, as they come up with an idea to sell it as some kind of hemorrhoid cream.  “Your butt will thank you!”

3

“Who else you gonna call?”

Elizabeth Rodriguez continues to light up the screen as Frank’s new friend, Faye, who appears to live in a Rolls Royce, but after Kev asks her up front, we discover that she does have a beautiful house…except it is apparently haunted.

Frank is up for the challenge and offers to help her, especially after he hears about all the Scotch that is there, but things go off track when Faye handcuffs Frank to the bed, showing him an old videotape of when her husband was sent away to prison when Frank was given a pass.

Faye clearly blames Frank for what happened and it doesn’t look like she is going to let him go until she gets some answers, but we know that Frank Gallagher can somehow find his way out of every situation…

2

“You hit the jackpot.”

After Debbie discovers that her new friend, Claudia, gave her $1000, she realizes that she may have been mistaken for a prostitute.  Apparently, Debbie was hanging out at “hoe corner,”  so I guess she should be careful about where she stands.

Debbie visits Claudia to clear things up and Claudia seems willing to take her to dinner, but she insists that Debbie keep the money and starts to buy her extravagant presents.

Megan tells Debbie that she basically hit the jackpot or the “motherload” with this sugar mama opportunity, but I’m not sure how Debbie really feels about this.  We’ll have to see how this goes…

“Do you love and trust me too?”

After Paula gets thrown out a window, both Ian and Mickey think the other one is responsible for her murder.  They find out that if they are married, they will never have to testify against each other and decide to see this plan through, but it is later revealed that Paula’s girlfriend was the one who killed her.

Mickey still seems ready to marry Ian, but Ian has second thoughts.  After all, he has witnessed a broken marriage in his own family so it may take him some time, but I am confident that Gallavich is going to find its happily ever after story!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Shameless” season 10 episode 7: “Citizen Carl”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Showtime’s Shameless season 10 episode 7, I realized that the Gallaghers may not always have it all together, but they do pull off some pretty impressive plans along the way.

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not watched the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “Citizen Carl,” Carl decides to become an active citizen to clean up the streets of Southside.  Meanwhile, Tami and Lip have a shitty adventure, Debbie and Megan go out to celebrate, and Frank meets an interesting new stranger.

My top 5 moments from Shameless season 10 episode 7 are:

5

“Big score.  Fresh dead guy.”

After a customer named Billy is found dead at The Alibi, Frank sheds quite a few fake tears while taking his wallet and keys.  Frank is quite the actor, but he ends up trying to steal as many things as he can from poor dead Billy while giving quite the inspiring eulogy.

Meanwhile, Frank meets a beautiful stranger played by Orange Is the New Black’s Elizabeth Rodriguez.  It looks like she is a woman of mystery herself, but has Frank finally met his match?

4

“We killed Billy…”

After the coroners take Billy away, Kev and V start to wonder if they are responsible for his death since they continued to serve him alcohol.  This guilt lasts for only about a minute, as they start to realize a real problem…that Billy was a major part of their revenue.

Kev and V realize that they will need to bring in some new customers to make up for Billy and stoop pretty low, posing as “Teronica and Tevin” at an AA meeting.  V starts to feel really bad when some of the members actually show up, but the money seems to be rolling in for now.

3

“Here’s your demon child.”

Debbie’s plan works like a charm, as Peppa drops off Fake Franny (Bella) and the check, claiming she never wants to see her again.  Debbie takes some time for herself to celebrate by going out for drinks with Megan.  Megan explains that they need to find some new potential baby daddies with a lot of cash to prepare for when the money runs out, but Debbie is not really feeling it.

Rather, she meets a female stranger at the bar and they really hit it off.  Only Debbie is mistaken for a prostitute and is left a rather large tip in cash on the dresser.  Did Debbie just find a sugar mama or could this lead to a potential relationship?

2

“Little domestic bitches…”

Ian and Mickey (Gallavich) continue to be absolutely adorable together, but it’s time for Mickey to try out his new job…in retail.  Mickey actually rocks the headset and polo shirt with class and even runs after a shoplifter, asking her why she stole such an “ugly piece of shit,” which was probably the funniest part of the episode for me.

Ian’s crazy PO, Paula, makes an arrangement; however, and now Mickey is working for her too.  It looks like Ian and Mickey are going to be dealing with some crazy stuff together, but at least they have each other.

So much for Mickey’s future in retail…

1

“Shit’s gotta change.”

After meeting an elderly woman named Esther at the bus stop, Carl gets on his bus, but witnesses her get mugged and shot.  The bus refuses to let him off to go and help, but Carl is not going to forget this anytime soon.

Carl is outraged that the city won’t replace the streetlights at the bus stop and decides to recruit Kelly and her high maintenance friend so that they can get the city to pay attention.

Apparently Anne moved?  OK…moving on.

Kelly and her friend shoot an Insta story while Carl pretends to mug them and the plan is a success, as the city now replaces the streetlights.  Good job, Citizen Carl!  Esther would be proud.  Stay tuned!
