HIS & HERS is a thriller series that will keep you guessing up until the very end, hooking you with its juicy mystery. Is it worthy of your next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

Talented cast.

When I saw that Jon Bernthal AND Tessa Thompson were starring in this, I was hooked before I even read the premise. Both stars absolutely delivered and I thought they had great chemistry together. I didn’t know who I could trust, which made the reveals that much more intriguing as we went along.

Jaw-dropping twist.

Wow…I did not see that coming! I just watched Harlan Coben’s Run Away, which had a shocking reveal at the end and now His & Hers had another one to throw me for a loop. I love when a series can accomplish this. I’m still thinking about that ending. Way to stick the landing!

Netflix is off to a promising start with its new series for 2026!

The Cons:

Slow-moving at times.

The first four episodes felt a little slow for me. I was enjoying the show, but I also thought it was dragging things out more than it needed to. I think this show probably should have been a film instead, but I guess there was too much to cover.

That being said, the last two episodes were very well paced and beyond intense so this wasn’t a major con, but be prepared for a little bit of a slow burn until you get to those insane reveals.

So am I in or out?

I’m in!!!

HIS & HERS is a shocking and juicy thriller well worth your time featuring fantastic performances by Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson.

Spoiler-Free Review of “The Housemaid” in Theaters: A Soapy & Campy Thriller Worth your Time!

*This is a spoiler-free review so feel free to read on!*

“Would you like to see what you’re getting yourself into?”

The Housemaid premiered in theaters on December 19th 2025. The mystery thriller film (based on the novel of the same name) stars Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, and Brandon Sklenar. It runs for approximately two hours and ten minutes.

Millie has a troubled past and is looking for a fresh start by interviewing for a live-in housemaid position in an extravagant home, but she soon discovers that her new bosses may be hiding deadly secrets that put her in danger.

Here is the trailer:

The Housemaid is a guilty pleasure thriller with plenty of juicy and shocking moments built in. Is it worthy of your next watchLet’s find out…

The Pros:

Sweeney and Seyfried are a dream duo!

I thought both actresses did a really great job here. Amanda Seyfried is such an exceptional actress and she really went all out here. Sweeney kept up with her as well and I loved the back-and-forth between them.

Brandon Sklenar is popping up quite a bit now in movies (It Ends With Us, Drop) and I hope to see him in more as well. His wardrobe was fantastic…among other things.

This movie was very pretty to look at from the gorgeous cast to the beautiful Long Island home they were living in. I love pleasing aesthetics like this that tend to hide something dangerous and sinister beneath them.

Entertaining reveals.

I wouldn’t say that they were that shocking. I sort of saw the main twist coming a mile away. That being said, it was still so much fun to watch unfold on screen. I had a packed audience with me in the theater and they were cheering along during certain parts, which made this a blast to watch. In a lot of ways, this felt like an elevated Lifetime movie…but that’s my favorite kind of guilty pleasure thriller so I’m not complaining here.

The ending was satisfying as well.

The Cons:

A little too long…

I was never bored, but I think things could have been wrapped up a little bit sooner. I like my movies to hover around 90 minutes or so. There were a few parts in the middle that were drawn out, but luckily things turned around for the explosive conclusion.

THE HOUSEMAID is sultry, satisfying, and so much fun to indulge in.

Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried go all out here in the best possible way!

Loved it!

“It’s a miracle I got you…”

Here is the trailer:

Unseen is a fantastic mix of See for Me and Alone with a fast-paced, intense premise and two likable leads. Is it worthy of your next watch? Let’s find out…

The Pros:

No waiting!

Talk about starting off with a bang…

This film has minimal set-up and throws the audience into things with barely any warning. The pacing was on point and at barely an hour and twenty minutes long, I never looked at the time even once.

This film was filled with edge-of-your-seat moments and some touching ones as well without ever overdoing it. It all just worked in a simple and effective way, which is exactly the kind of thriller I love to see.

Two strong female leads to root for.

I absolutely loved both of these leading ladies. They were both incredible and I actually really dug the fact that they seemed so normal. It just made their bond and quest for survival that much more intriguing.

Even though we had minimal set-up in the beginning of the film, we still got enough layers between these two as they continued to talk, which helped me care about them even more.

The Cons:

Far-fetched at times…

Sure, some of the characters were a little outrageous and there were some moments that had me scratching my head, but just go with it and you’ll enjoy the ride. It all added to the intensity so I’m not complaining too much here.

I’m in 100 percent!!!

Keep making horror-thrillers like this and I’ll keep watching them and so will a lot of other viewers!

Fast-paced, fierce, and absolutely FANTASTIC from start to finish!

I absolutely loved this film and highly recommend it.
