Ranking the top 5 moments from “Supernatural” season 13 episode 18: “Bring ‘em Back Alive”

Happy Friday the 13th TV fans!  After watching the CW’s Supernatural season 13 episode 18 last night, I learned that you should never mistake “hookers” for “porn stars,” especially when mentioning them appears to be the key to snapping an archangel back to reality.  Seriously Sam that was a rookie mistake.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.  In last night’s episode, “Bring ‘em Back Alive,” Dean and Ketch head through the rift to find Jack and Mary, but Dean spots a familiar face that has him thinking twice about his next move.  Meanwhile, Cas and Sam team up to help heal Gabriel and Lucifer tries out his new job as “God.”  My top 5 moments from Supernatural season 13 episode 18 are:

“If you had your heart set on Mai Tais…sorry.”

After Dean and Ketch travel through the rift, they end up in some sort of barren winter wonderland, which looks nothing like the place Dean was before.  Dean tries to figure out where they are and quickly realizes that he is not exactly sure where to start looking.  Ketch comments on how nice the vacation spot is but the two are interrupted before they can get much further with their banter.  They witness several humans being executed by angels.  Dean gets wounded and poisoned and Ketch doesn’t leave his side, trying to help as much as he can.  While we are not sure if Ketch has truly shifted over to good, he is giving it is his best effort.  Dean even awards him the “anti-poison merit badge award,” proving that he appreciates his help maybe just a little.

Team Sam and Castiel.

Sam is left behind to make sense of what is going on with Gabriel and Castiel arrives for reinforcements.  While Castiel clearly does not agree with Dean’s decision to go into the rift alone with Ketch, he agrees to help Sam with the matter at hand.  Gabriel is clearly traumatized and is not up for speaking.  Sam tries to spoon-feed him his grace to help heal him, but Castiel dryly explains, “Sam, I don’t think he’s going to open up and let the choo choo in.”  They quickly discover that Gabriel has marked up the walls with what happened to him, starting with his fake death and mixing in some nonsense about Monte Carlo and “porn stars.”  Castiel explains he goes on for quite a bit about “porn stars,” but at least he is communicating to prove that his intellect is still present.

Lucifer tries out working in the field.

We finally get to see Lucifer again who is now ruling heaven.  Lucifer is bored and is not happy that the angels aren’t doing everything possible to find Jack.  Jo reminds him that he is there to “make heaven better” and politely turns down his request for “strip poker.”  Jo is not amused when Lucifer begins whining that the angels respected his father more, explaining that “Your father created.  You inherited.”  She’s absolutely right and even Lucifer decides to give working in the field a try.  He hilariously appears at an exorcism and tells the demon to take a hike, leaving the priests in shock.  After he tries to explain that he got a bad reputation as Lucifer, he ends up killing them and is now back at square one.  No one said that trying to act like God would be easy.  After Lucifer reveals that he made a lot of fake promises, including being able to give the angels back their wings, Jo is done playing games.  She walks out on him, but not before telling him that she thinks he is scared to find his son and seems to really hit home with this.

“The world needs you.  Please help us.”

Sam is getting frustrated with Gabriel and doesn’t know what else to do.  In an inspiring moment, Sam explains to Gabriel that he knows exactly what he is feeling.  Like Gabriel, Sam used to think he could escape his calling, but soon realized that the world needed him and he accepted his fate.  He tells Gabriel, “This is where I make the world a better place.  The world needs you.  We need you.  I need you.”  After briefly mentioning “hookers” in his pep talk, Gabriel finally speaks and says, “Porn stars.  They were porn stars, Sam.”  Not the first words you might be expecting from a powerful archangel, but we’ll take it.  After all, Sam and Dean just used up the angel grace to heal Gabriel so they desperately need him to join the team.  This is all interrupted when Asmodeus barges in and tries to kidnap Gabriel again.  Only he is in for a surprise when Gabriel destroys him instead.  Unfortunately, Gabriel turns down the request to join the team and leaves.  When Dean returns he is more than angry.  We know that they need more grace to open the rift again, but will Gabriel have a change of heart?

Dean rescues the other Charlie.

I’m sure fans everywhere were beyond excited to see Charlie in this episode.  Well not the Charlie from the real world, but another version of her is absolutely acceptable.  After Dean spots her, he tells Ketch that she might know where Mary and Jack are since she is clearly working with the resistance against Michael.  Ketch tries to get Dean to stay on the task at hand, but Dean refuses to leave her behind.  In a moment of vulnerability, Dean confides in Ketch and explains that Charlie was like a sister to him and that she was brutally murdered.  Dean feels like he let her down and doesn’t want to do the same thing here.  Ketch also confides in Dean and explains that he lost many comrades along the way but always just told himself that it was his duty.  Dean of course responds with, “Well you do suck.”  Either way, it seems like these two have finally come together, as Ketch agrees to help Dean rescue Charlie.  Even though Charlie doesn’t know who Dean is, she is more than grateful.  Charlie and Ketch stay behind and agree to help find Jack and Mary and Dean heads back through the rift.  While we are still not sure if we can completely trust Ketch, at least alternate Charlie will be there to keep him in line.  Now about that angel grace.  Perhaps Rowena can help since she will be in the next episode.  Stay tuned!

Throw-Back Thursday: Ranking the top 5 episodes of “Charmed.”

It’s Throw-Back Thursday TV Fans!  For today, I am going to be counting down the top 5 episodes from Charmed.  Out of the 178 episodes of the series, it was extremely difficult to narrow this list down to just 5 episodes.  Over my many re-watches of the show, these episodes have stood the test of time.  As I re-watch the series each time, I find myself looking forward to them because they truly make an impact with me.  There have been different points in my life where many episodes of Charmed have gotten me through some really tough times and that just goes to show you how amazing this show is.

It’s not just about witchcraft and magic.  It’s about family, loyalty, and how to deal with the everyday demons in our lives, not just the supernatural.  The entire series is filled with great episodes, all connecting to create a believable story and providing us with some great entertainment, while keeping our favorite characters real, empathetic, funny, and significant in the process.  It’s hard not to feel like part of the Halliwell family when you invest so much time watching these powerful and amazing women.  These stand-out episodes below take it a step further, however; surpassing our expectations as fans and surprising us with unforgettable moments.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not yet watched the series.

My top 5 episodes from Charmed are:

“From Fear to Eternity.” (Season 1, episode 13)

“Prue.  Prue. You must face your fears, Prue.  You must trust in the greatest of all powers.  Love.” (Patty Halliwell)

So for me this episode has to be the one that hooked me onto Charmed for good.  This episode was in the middle of the first season and really elevated the show to an entirely new level.  It’s Friday the 13th and we are first introduced to one of the greatest villains on the show, Barbas, the Demon of Fear.  I have to say that it was very clever to have episode 13 be the Friday the 13th one, which really made this episode that much more haunting.  The Demon of Fear has to murder 13 witches before midnight so that he can be freed, which is alarming enough for those of you who are superstitious.

What makes Barbas so frightening is that he brings a victim’s greatest fear to the surface.  The victim appears to die from a heart attack and their hair turns bright white from fright, which gets the police involved, but there is something so bone-chilling about this.  Just imagining this happening makes my skin crawl, which is why Barbas was such a genius villain and so difficult for the sisters to face.  This episode stood out to me as well because the sisters could not just rely on their magical powers to defeat him.  Phoebe is held captive by him and he lures Prue to the scene to get two witches for the price of one.  We learn in the episode that Prue is very fearful of drowning, as Barbas initially attacks her in the shower.

When Prue is in the pool, the spirit of her mother, Patty appears before her and tells her to trust in the power of love.  Prue is able to overcome her fear, which banishes Barbas.  It took Prue conquering her inner demons to be able to defeat this one and it finally allows her to open up to her sisters and let them into her heart, while still having plenty of room to remember and love her mother.

“Chick Flick.” (Season 2, episode 18)

“You’re my hero Billy.”

“And I think you’re swell, Sally Mae.”

My top 5 list would not be complete without including “Chick Flick.”  I typically refer to this episode as “Kill It Before It Dies,” which is the old movie that Phoebe is obsessed with, currently playing down at the local theater.  In this episode, the Demon of Illusion flees from the Charmed ones and hides right in the movie.  The demon is not afraid to change the script and even recruits other psycho killers from different movies to attack the sisters.  Phoebe’s dream man, Billy, comes out of the movie and is still in black-and-white.  Phoebe is beyond thrilled and bonds with Billy.  I mean how many times have we thought about hanging out with one of our favorite characters?  Phoebe actually gets to do this which is beyond cool.

The sisters team up with Billy to fight the Demon of Illusion, but not before they get trapped in the film.  The Demon of Illusion explains that if they are stuck in there when the movie ends, they will never get out.  Luckily, Prue is quite the photographer and is able to rewind the film and vanquish the Demon of Illusion by leaving his frame under the light for too long.  Phoebe is forced to say goodbye to Billy, but is thrilled when she gets her own copy of the movie.  “Kill It Before it Dies” actually appears in three episodes of Charmed and even Cole tries to give her a message through the movie.  I mean you can’t knock him for lack of effort.

Either way, this episode is absolutely hilarious and fun.  If you’re having a bad day, I strongly recommend you grab your popcorn and watch this one.  And whatever you do…don’t hide from a psycho killer in the shower like poor Piper.

“The Seven Year Witch.” (Season 7, episode 16)

“Leo and Piper’s love, it’s epic, it’s massive.  It’s Romeo and Juliet, Anthony and Cleopatra, Brad and Jennifer.”   (Drake)

There are a few reasons why I absolutely adore this episode.  First off, my absolute favorite character, Cole Turner is back.  Well not back to the land of the living, but he does act as a sort of mentor and guide for Piper who is currently trapped in limbo.  Meanwhile, the elders decide to test Leo and strip him of his memory and leave him out on an abandoned highway so that he can choose his path once and for all.  The path is not so clear-cut, however; as the elders do try to manipulate him by focusing on his love to help others.  Cole finally gets through to Piper and she realizes that she must let go and die and call out to Leo in order to reach him and the plan is a success.  While Drake should have probably picked couples in history that actually ended up together…or ended up surviving, the intent is there.

When I think about epic couples, Piper and Leo always come to mind and it’s because of moments like this.  Piper and Leo’s love transcends everything else around them and they are able to fight for each other and support each other through it all.  At the end of the episode, Drake’s life ends at midnight when he says, “Alas…pumpkin time.”  Fans learn that Cole sent him there to help Phoebe believe in love again, which is absolutely swoon-worthy.  Even though Cole can’t be with Phoebe, her happiness is all that keeps him going in the other plane and he will forever love her.  Phoebe even feels his presence in the house, which proves that they are still connected on some level.  Now that’s romantic.

“Centennial Charmed.” (Season 5, episode 12)

“We’ve been through so much together…haven’t we?  Our love’s so strong, nothing can destroy it, not even this.  We’re meant to be together.” (Cole)

So even though Phoebe says, “I don’t think so,” it’s hard to fully believe this can be true.  I absolutely believe that Phoebe and Cole were meant to be together, but unlike Piper and Leo, they are unable to defeat everything that gets in their way.  Cole’s path toward self-destruction is beyond difficult to control and Phoebe will always choose her family over her love for him simply because she is selfless.  It’s a sacrifice and something that will always be with her, but it’s hard to agree that their love was not meant to be.  While I do think that her love with Coop later on in the series is a healthy and stable relationship for her, it comes as a close second to her passionate and messy romance with Cole.  This episode is the 100th episode of the show and I think that they really hit home with it.  Cole has been vanquished before, but he always finds some way back.  However, this time is different.

Cole reveals that it is his birthday but all he wants is a chance at love and happiness, which is heart-breaking and empathetic.   The Avatars approach Cole, which prove to be a greater threat later down the road with Leo, and Cole decides to use his new powers to cast a spell to alter reality so that he can win Phoebe back.  Only this has unforeseen consequences, as Phoebe does not love him in this reality anymore than she does now.  Cole’s plan back-fires when Paige sneezes and orbs out when the spell is cast, as he had anticipated her being dead in this reality.  Paige is able to convince Piper to help her, which is no easy task and the power of 3 is alive again.  Cole is not indestructible in this reality and when he is vanquished, it’s for good this time.  The end of the episode is bitter sweet, as Cole’s place is found empty and abandoned, revealing that he’s not coming back anytime soon.

Paige wishes him a happy birthday before she exits, which always brings me to tears.  The sisters did not want to vanquish Cole, but he made it impossible for them to live in a world with him.  Perhaps his path could have been different or perhaps it would end just the same, but it’s clear that he impacted more than just Phoebe, which makes his departure from the show that much more heart-breaking.

“Forever Charmed.” (Season 8, episode 22)

“And although we certainly had our struggles and heart aches over the years we’re a family of survivors and we always will be.  Which is why we’ve truly been Charmed.” (Piper Halliwell)

So I absolutely have to give the series finale of the show the number one spot.  Mostly because it truly sums up everything the way I would have liked.  I would say that the only thing missing was the presence of Prue but they did mention her.  The episode focuses on Piper using Coop’s ring to travel through time to save her sisters, which allows some of our favorite characters from the past and future to get involved to help save the day.  When the threat is over, we get a glimpse into the future of the lives of our favorite Halliwell sisters and everything is as it should be.  Piper’s words to her future grand-daughter remind us what the show is all about.  While the Halliwell sisters are powerful witches, they are much more than that.

They are survivors and they are a family that sticks together no matter what.  It’s hard not to fall in love with this show and every time I watch the series finale, it inspires hope and love.  While it’s always hard to say goodbye to the Charmed ones, you can always start the series over again, but knowing that they obtained the future that they deserved provides us with closure and satisfaction.  “The power of 3 will set us free!”

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Ash vs Evil Dead” season 3 episode 7: “Ding Dong…you’re dead”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Starz’s Ash vs Evil Dead season 3 episode 7 last night, I’m wondering why the Elk Grove police department has not instated some type of curfew yet.  After all, two local people are dead and a lot of weird things continue to happen, but I guess the best thing for everyone to do is to gather all in one place at the school dance.  Seriously I don’t know what this town would do without Ashy Slashy.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.  In last night’s episode, “Twist and Shout,” Brandy puts on her sequins and heads to the school dance with some chaperones, Pablo sees an unexpected guest in the rift, and Ruby tries to steal the show.  My top 5 moments from Ash vs Evil Dead season 3 episode 7 are:

“I’m not sure this is the time to be playing Barbie dress up.”

And you know what…Ash has got a valid point.  Not to say that I want to take away Brandy’s chance to shine on the dance floor, especially since she is wearing her mother’s favorite dress, but it seems like this is just bringing evil exactly what it wants.  Brandy explains that this is her chance to lure Ms. Prevett out in the open and to finally see her for what she truly is.  Ash accepts but is clearly hesitant about this plan, explaining that “from now on you’re rubber and we’re glue.”  After all, “that’s what super cool dads do right?”

Ruby takes her plan to the next level.

Ruby’s new and improved demon Ash is born or hatched?  Not sure which is really correct, but either way this identical version of Ash calls her “mother.”  Ruby explains that his role is to make Brandy truly believe he is her father.  This includes cutting off his own arm so that all of the details are just right.  Talk about commitment.  Ruby tells Brandy that her father, Ash is a demon and tries to get her to turn on him.  If Brandy kills her own father, Ruby’s heir will become the true prophesied one and then she will be able to pretty much bring all hell to earth…literally.

“The real Kelly and I did kiss and it was freakin awesome!”

While Pablo is still in the cellar at the hardware store, he hears a voice calling his name through the rift.  Pablo is shocked to see Kelly trapped inside and she tries to explain that she must be dead.  Pablo is clearly heart-broken by this news but recognizes that Kelly’s soul is in immediate danger and knows that it is his responsibility to do something to help her.  When Pablo arrives at the school dance, he is even more confused to see Kelly there alive and well.  Only, he begins to see through this impossibility and tests her by claiming they never shared a kiss.  When Kaya fails the test miserably, Pablo lets her know that the kiss they shared was “freakin awesome” and the two begin attacking each other.  Pablo cannot kill the vessel and escapes in just the nick of time, but it’s clear these two are not done just yet.

“There’s a very handsome but demented version of me running around here.”

Ash is shocked when he sees the demon version of himself running around the school hallway, leaving a pile of messy dead bodies behind him.  It is clear that Ash is being framed for this, but he is not about to let Ruby’s plan be a success.  Ash says, “I’m going to save my daughter.”  When he comes face to face with Brandy, she is beyond angry and waves the dagger around to show that she is not messing around.  Ash tries to explain that “it wasn’t me…it was the other me,” which isn’t as convincing as it sounds.  Ash fights off the demon version of him, explaining that “Ruby went to Kandarian Kinkos and this asshole popped out.”  After destroying the demon, he looks to Brandy, hoping that she will believe him.

“You were right.”

Brandy has flashes about her recent memories with her father and she cannot end his life, ruining Ruby’s plan.  After the demon Ash is eliminated, Brandy sees Ruby for what she truly is and says, “you were right.”  Ruby’s anger comes screeching to the surface and she throws the Kandarian dagger at Ash, only Brandy jumps in front of it to save him.  Brandy dies in Ash’s arms, breaking his heart completely and it seems like all hope is lost.  Or is it?  Brandy wakes up in the rift and sees the same monster that seemed to be after Kelly.  After watching the preview from next week, it appears that Ash and Pablo are ready to go into the rift to save them.  While it seems like the first step is to save their souls, is it possible that Brandy and Kelly can be brought back to life?  I’m hoping so because it seems like our favorite characters are dropping like flies.  Stay tuned to find out!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Supernatural” season 13 episode 17: “The Thing”

Happy Sunday TV fans!  After watching the CW’s Supernatural season 13 episode 17 last night, I learned that even when you think you can’t be redeemed, fear and regret can lead you to try to do the right thing against all odds.  That being said, there is always a catch…or Ketch involved.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.  In last night’s episode, “The Thing,” Sam and Dean are checking off their list of ingredients and are stumped by the Seal of Solomon, which causes them to track down a lead in Rhode Island.  Meanwhile, Ketch gets schooled by Asmodeus and makes the decision to turn the tables on him.  My top 5 moments from Supernatural season 13 episode 17 are:

Dean gets creative with Post-It notes.

Sam has been investing a lot of time in his research and falls asleep on top of a book, which inspires Dean to have a little bit of fun with him.  He carefully places post-it notes on the back of Sam’s shirt that read:  “Dum Dum,” “Kick Me”and“Ass face.”  Later on, Sam notices them in the mirror and is not amused, but Dean tells him they have other things to worry about now, but takes a moment to really appreciate his fine work.

“I love books!”

As a refresher, Sam and Dean need four ingredients to open the door to the other world that Mary and Jack are trapped in.  They begin making their list and checking it twice and are currently short two ingredients:  The Seal of Solomon and the grace from an Archangel.  Sam and Dean have been searching for information on the Seal of Solomon to no avail, which leads them to go through the archives which Dean finds very tedious.  They eventually come across information from the Men of Letters who apparently discovered Solomon’s treasure.  In the treasure is a “jewel of the cosmos,” which Dean refers to as “a piece of kryptonite.”  They decide to head off to Rhode Island to track down the lead in another hideaway from the Men of Letters, as this is the only lead they have.

“Kale is a garnish.”

When Sam and Dean stop in at a local diner in Rhode Island, Dean allows the waitress to bring him whatever is good.  Sam makes the healthier choice, however; and orders a type of Kale dish which disgusts Dean.  Sam begins talking about the importance of lowering his cholesterol.  Dean is impressed but explains that he is also “watching his cholesterol…watching it go way up.”

“It’s like a Hallmark movie…but with tentacles.”

After Sam and Dean go down to the underground Men of Letters bunker in Rhode Island, they find an unexpected guest.  A woman named Sandy Porter is being held captive, but has been there for almost a hundred years.  Sam and Dean are stumped by this but welcome her to the future just the same and let her know that they will protect her.  They need to quickly make good on their promise, as followers of the Men of Letters begin surrounding the diner.  After Sam is captured, he learns that Sandy died many years ago and the monster that fed on her inhabits her body.  Sam quickly realizes that Dean is in a lot of trouble as apparently all the monster does is “feed and breed.”  Luckily for Dean, Sandy chooses him as the host for her lover trapped in the other world.  Sam and the other Men of Letters rescue Dean with perfect timing and send the monster back to its world, closing the rift for good.

“What’s the catch?”

While Mr. Ketch tries to involve himself in Asmodeus’s plan, he quickly realizes that he is merely a servant in his eyes and not worth much at all.  Asmodeus tells Ketch that he sees that he is filled with fear, regret, and pain and that he can’t be redeemed.  He makes him feel even less when he simply tells him, “You’re mine.”  Mr. Ketch refuses to let this be his fate and makes the decision to break out Gabriel and bring him to Sam and Dean as a peace offering.  Sam and Dean are shocked to see Gabriel but are not about to turn Mr. Ketch away, especially since he possesses the last ingredient.  In return, Mr. Ketch wants protection from Asmodeus and “dibs on the top bunk.”  While Sam is hesitant, Dean quickly agrees and tells Sam that he and Mr. Ketch are going to go through the door alone.  Sam is left to hold down the fort and watch after Gabriel, but clearly doesn’t like the idea of letting his brother handle this on his own.  We know that the Winchester brothers are stronger together, but will this plan work the way Dean intends?  While I’m not sure they will be able to find Jack and Mary so easily, it seems like this is their only option right now.  What new threats will they find in the other world?  What will Sam encounter with Gabriel?  And it seems like we haven’t seen too much of Lucifer or Rowena lately, so you know that they will be re-surfacing sooner or later.  Let’s hope it’s not when the Winchester brothers are apart.

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Once Upon a Time” season 7 episode 16: “Breadcrumbs”

After watching ABC’s Once Upon a Time season 7 episode 16 last night, Henry got it absolutely right when he finally realized that it’s not about having a good story.  Rather, it’s about having a good life and making the most of it by connecting with the people you love and care about.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.  In last night’s episode, “Breadcrumbs,” Henry is offered a job opportunity in New York, Nook/Rogers helps Tilly secure her own employment, and Zelena/Kelly tries to connect with her daughter.  Meanwhile, Rumple/Weaver seeks out Henry’s help against the “Candy Killer,” which leads to Henry’s own encounter with the killer and Zelena/Kelly gets a gift that is far from sweet.  My top 5 moments from Once Upon a Time season 7 episode 16 are:

H Town could lead Henry straight out of town.

Henry’s podcast is a hit with everyone and he feels like he is truly making an impact again.  He gets a surprising phone call about a possible job opportunity in New York, where he would be able to produce podcasts for others.  The only catch is that he would need to leave town and give up his own podcast in the process.  While Henry is excited for the opportunity, he quickly realizes that this means he would have to say goodbye to Jacinda/Ella.  But is he ready to give up on his chance at true love just yet?

“You want to break the curse as much as I do.”

Since Regina is out searching for items needed to break the curse, Lucy decides to spend the day with Zelena/Kelly.  Zelena is very blunt with Lucy about the odds of everything working out and apologizes by telling her that it’s been a while since she’s been around kids.  She confides in Lucy that she is having difficulty with her own daughter, Margot/Robin and has been continuing to lie to her.  While it will be no easy task for Zelena/Kelly to tell her daughter the truth, she will have to be able to break down her wall sooner or later, especially now that we know that the killer is after her next.

Fake adventure turns into a real adventure.

In this episode, we learn more about Henry’s past and how he ended up proposing to Jacinda/Ella.  Henry is desperate to seek out adventure with a great story behind it so that he can give Jacinda/Ella a ring with true meaning behind it.  Nook offers to help Henry with this and suggests that they go after Davy Jones’s locker.  This appears to be no easy task, however; as the two realize they need to sneak aboard the Jolly Rogers and deal with Blackbeard.  After the star sapphire ring is revealed, Henry tries to fight his way to victory, but quickly realizes that this was all a set-up by Nook to give him the adventure he was looking for.  Henry is frustrated, but the fake adventure quickly becomes all too real when a major storm approaches the ship.  Henry realizes that Davy Jones wants his ring back and tells the crew to sail the ship closest to the eye of the storm so he can return it.  The plan works like a charm and Henry has gotten his big story after all.  Only he finally understands that he doesn’t need it anymore.  He realizes that he doesn’t need a good story, but a good life and proposes to Ella with nothing to offer her but his love and devotion.  Ella happily accepts and it appears that these two are destined for the happy ending they deserve.  Now only if we can get them back to that in present day.

Nook/Rogers gets Tilly/Alice a job.

Nook made the right decision by agreeing to let Tilly stay with him, but he wants to help her contribute to society and get her life on the right track as well.  He helps get her a job working on Sabine/Tiana’s food truck and Tilly is beyond nervous since she has never had a real job before.  A few flirtatious remarks are made between Nook and Sabine/Tiana, hinting again at a possible romance brewing between these two.  This is put on hold for now, however; as Tilly gets to work.  After a few failed attempts to make the perfect beignet, Sabine/Tiana decides to give Tilly a chance at sales.  Tilly is determined to prove her worth and is actually quite the sales woman.  She comes up with the great idea to give out free samples and runs into Margot/Robin in the process.  The two share a heart-to-heart conversation and sparks are flying again, as Tilly finally feels like she is connecting to other people again.  Tilly is beyond excited that she is actually getting paid to do something she loves and Nook is extremely proud of her, the way a father is.  Now if only he can remember that he actually is her father.

Rumple/Weaver goes to Henry for help.

Henry is surprised when Detective Weaver knocks on his door, as he is getting ready for his trip to New York.  Rumple/Weaver explains that the “Candy Killer” is a fan of his work and they found a copy of Henry’s “Once Upon a Time” book at one of the crime scenes.  Henry at first seems conflicted about helping Detective Weaver, as he is worrying about leaving for his job interview, but begins to have a change of heart when Rumple/Weaver tells him that Henry Mills was his favorite character.  It wasn’t because he merely had hope and belief, but it was because he fought for these things.  Rumple/Weaver tries to spark this in Henry again so that he will choose the right path.  Henry realizes that the killer must be a character in the book too and is trying to re-write it.  They narrow down the search and realize that the killer thinks he is Hansel, proving the fan theories out there to be true that Jack/Nick is Hansel.  He is out for revenge against the coven because he holds them responsible for his sister’s death, but will this plan be put on hold now that Henry is on to him?  Unfortunately for Henry, he lets his guard down with Nick and tells him about what he told Detective Weaver.  Since Henry is now a threat to Hansel’s operation, he holds him captive at his place.  We also learn that Hansel’s next victim will be Zelena/Kelly, as she finds her very own box of chocolates waiting on her doorstep.  We will have to wait until next week to find out why Hansel finds Zelena mostly responsible, but we know that Zelena will not go down without a fight.  Will she be able to stop Hansel?  Will Henry be able to escape?  Something tells me we need Regina to get back to town fast for back-up.  Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Mick” season 2 episode 20: “The Graduate”

Happy Wednesday!  After watching Fox’s The Mick season 2 episode 20 season finale last night, I think we have all learned a valuable lesson that showing the world you’re not afraid can lead to some unforeseen consequences.   Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.  In last night’s episode, “The Graduate,” Mickey is extremely proud of Sabrina who is graduating from high school and off to Yale for college…well so she thought.  Meanwhile, Chip decides to throw a party and Alba gives college life a try.  My top 5 moments from The Mick season 2 episode 20 are:

Mickey embraces parenthood.

Mickey is beyond proud of Sabrina and begins making as much noise as possible when she crosses the stage and they announce that she is off to Yale University.  She begins discussing how much of an impact she had on her life in order to get her here and Chip points out to her, “You’re not a parent.”  Mickey of course shows off these awesome parenting skills by saying, “Well you’re a bastard.”  Even though Mickey tells it like it is without apologizing, she is clearly very happy to see Sabrina take this important step in her life…that is until she finds out that Sabrina doesn’t plan on attending Yale in the fall.

Mickey goes to see the Dean.

Mickey is very upset when she finds out that Sabrina lied and hasn’t gotten into Yale.  She is not about to let her continue to cramp her style at home, so she decides to take Alba to the campus to pay the Dean a visit and convince her to take Sabrina.  Mickey quickly realizes that getting an appointment with the Dean is almost impossible, as she is told that the next available one is in two months.  However, this does not stop Mickey.  She creates a very inventive and dangerous diversion, which causes a small fire, but works like a charm, as the receptionist goes running outside to put it out.  Mickey begins by telling the Dean how great Sabrina is, but when she sees this isn’t working, she simply tells her that “she’s the worst” and practically begs her to accept her.  After some more threats, the Dean looks up the information and tells her that Sabrina was already accepted.

“I would have been so good at college.”

When Alba tags along with Mickey to the campus, she quickly realizes all of the benefits of going to college.  You know like “bong rips, hacky sacks, and hot guys.”  Alba is part of Mickey’s diversion plan and takes the Chang family around campus for a fake tour so that they don’t show up for their scheduled appointment with the Dean.  Alba is actually doing a pretty good job and responds to questions without any hesitation.  When asked how many libraries there are, she immediately says “53.”  Sounds like a high number, but after all “nerds love it here.”  After she abandons the Chang Family, Alba is not done with her college adventure just yet.  She takes the name tag of “Melanie” and goes in for an alumni reunion.  Alba is having a fantastic time, drinking alcohol and even striking up a conversation with another former classmate, which leads to a night filled with fun and passion.  The stranger begs to be able to contact “Melanie,” but Alba silences him and tells him that she’ll see him at the next one.

Farble messes up Chip’s plan.

After Sabrina graduates, Chip decides that it’s the perfect time to throw a “rager.”  Jimmy notices that Emily or “Farble” is hanging around quite a bit and suggests that Chip and she enjoy a sort of friends with benefits relationship.  Chip seems OK with it for now, but explains that his real goal is to get a girl like Madison.  During the party, Madison has a huge fight with her boyfriend and Chip is there to console her and pick up the pieces.  It seems like Chip might actually have a shot here and Jimmy provides some advice by explaining that “sometimes you win a fight by getting your ass kicked.”  Chip stands up for Madison and just as things are escalating, Farble knocks Madison’s boyfriend out of the way.  Madison is beyond grateful and it seems like the plan has worked like a charm…that is until Farble states her claim on Chip and rudely tells her to back off.  Poor Chip.  You were so close!

“That’s life.  You get wet and then you dry up.”

After Mickey discovers that Sabrina did get into Yale, she confronts her about it.  Sabrina caves in and admits that she’s just really scared about going to college and tackling the unknown.  Mickey decides to show her something and doesn’t really give Sabrina a choice when she yells, “Get in the car!”  Mickey takes her to a bar and explains that when she was around her age, her mother left she and Sabrina’s mother with a little bit of cash.  While Mickey’s sister went off to New York, she decided to buy a Samurai sword instead.  Mickey explains that her sister “took a big swing while she never left the dugout.”  Mickey points to the top of the bar and shows her the Samurai Sword.  Sabrina asks how much it will cost and the bartender explains only $40.  However, Mickey has already decided to put her diversion to good use again, only this time she sets the bar on fire in the process.  Sabrina convinces her to grab the sword which severely burns her hand and she then cuts Sabrina’s ear with it.  After this fiasco, Sabrina tells Mickey that she will try out Yale after all.  Mickey offers the sword up to Sabrina in the rain, as if she is passing on her new destiny in life.  Mickey tells her, “Show the world you’re not afraid,” which is actually quite a heart-warming moment between these two…that is until lightning strikes the sword and knocks poor Sabrina out cold.  The end of the finale reveals that Sabrina is in a coma, short one toe, and her fate yet to be determined.  Will Sabrina be OK?  Will Mickey be able to pick up the pieces?  We’ll have to wait for season 3 to find out!  I hope that Fox picks this show up for another season because it is truly hilarious and heart-warming at the same time.  Through all of Mickey’s antics, she truly loves this family and they love her in return.

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Ash vs Evil Dead” season 3 episode 6: “Tales From the Rift”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Starz’s Ash vs Evil Dead season 3 episode 6 last night, I think it’s important that you never judge a book from its cover.  That is unless we are talking about “The Book of the Dead,” which contains the most unimaginable evil, including evil sorceresses who should really just stay put.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.  In last night’s episode, “Tales From the Rift,” Kelly sees her mission through and brings the fight to Ruby, refusing to give up until she destroys her once and for all.  Meanwhile, Ash is visited by the Knights of Sumeria, Pablo begins tapping into his powers as “El Brujo Especial,” and the rift opens, which proves to be extremely dangerous.   My top 5 moments from Ash vs Evil Dead season 3 episode 6 are:

“Like daughter, like Dad.”

After last week’s episode, Brandy makes the brave decision to trust her heart and her father in the process.  Brandy is surprisingly handling everything thrown her way pretty well so far and continues to grow closer to her dad, Ash.  She even makes him breakfast, which consists of actually toasting a pop tart, but Ash is beyond impressed.  Brandy is still not able to truly believe that Ms. Prevett, otherwise known as Ruby, is evil, however.  Ash continues to try and make her see it, but it looks like she will need to witness the Queen of Hell in action in order to fully understand it.  Either way, it’s good to see Brandy and Ash finally growing closer and bonding.

The Knights of Sumeria show up on Ash’s doorstep.

A group of the Knights of Sumeria shows up when they don’t hear back from Dalton.  They claim they can stop evil for good, which seems promising.  Ash is skeptical of this but is more than willing to give it a shot, especially since he has a daughter to protect.  They head off to the hardware store to find the body of Gary, who left them clues on the wall in Sumerian.  They believe that Gary had figured out a way to open the rift to the Netherworld and believe that could be the key to triggering the final battle.

“I think these guys flunked Sumerian 101.”

After determining that opening the rift could be the key to stopping evil, the group of Knights is determined to figure this out.  However, they are having a little bit of trouble reading the Sumerian on the wall.  When Pablo arrives at the store, he can surprisingly decode the text and opens the rift as a result.  The rift proves to be quite dangerous as one of the Knights goes through and returns as a deadite.  Ash is able to stop the threat, but it’s important that they figure out a way to close the rift in the meantime before anything else happens.

“I got a bad feeling about this.”

After Pablo became “El Brujo Especial,” his powers are now surfacing, surprising him and those around him.  He gets a sort of vision and realizes that Ash is in trouble at the hardware store.  After he arrives, his powers allow him to translate the Sumerian and open the rift, which the Knights of Sumeria explained was a task that was not so easily done.  After Ash manages to destroy the deadite, he tells Pablo that he needs to figure out a way to close the rift for good.  While Pablo’s abilities seem to be quite powerful, he will need to get a handle on them very quickly so that he can help Ash with the fight against evil.

“Don’t start a fight you can’t finish.”

Kelly makes good on her promise to stop Ruby and attacks her in her home.  She shoots her over and over, but Ruby tries to playfully remind her that she’s immortal.  Kelly reveals that she has the Kandarian Dagger and puts her best effort forward to try and stop Ruby once and for all.  She warns her that, “It’s Gladiator time, bitch,” and she means business.  Kelly’s fight against Ruby is commendable.  Even though she is mortal, she packs quite the punch and refuses to let Ruby escape.  While fans everywhere are rooting for Kelly, it seems unlikely that she will be able to finish the job.  Ruby turns the tables on her and uses the Kandarian Dagger to stab Kelly.  As her life pours out of her, Ruby tells her, “I hated you least of all Kelly.”  While characters don’t typically last too long on Ash vs Evil Dead, Kelly Maxwell has touched us all and is an irreplaceable member of the Ghost Beaters.  The important thing to remember is that dead doesn’t stay dead for very long on this show.  Ruby conveniently uses Kelly’s body as a vessel and allows her sorceress friend, Kaya to settle in there, freeing her from “The Book of the Dead.”  When Kaya sees Ash later on, she delivers him the dagger, continuing to pretend to be Kelly in the meantime.  While it breaks my heart to see Kelly’s mortal life over, I’m hoping that somehow Pablo’s new powers can bring her back from the dead and swap her soul with Kaya’s.  While it may seem far-fetched, the show desperately needs Kelly’s kick-ass attitude and commitment to bringing down evil.  The idea of Kelly being gone forever is heart-breaking.  My fingers are crossed that there is some kind of loop hole to help bring her back.  However, in the meantime, now that we know that Kaya is free, what is she capable of?  Will she and Ruby become an unstoppable force?  Stay tuned to find out!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Once Upon a Time” season 7 episode 15: “Operation Bromance”

After watching ABC’s Once Upon a Time season 7 episode 15 last night, it’s important to remember that even if you have made mistakes all throughout your life, it’s never too late to do something good to help tip the scale.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.  In last night’s episode, “Sisterhood,” we learn about how Ivy/Drizella joined the coven and how she crossed paths with another fairy-tale favorite, Gretel.  Meanwhile, Regina and Lucy take a break from “Operation Hyacinth” to bring “Operation Bromance” into the mix to help cheer up Henry at “Flynn’s Arcade,” straight out of the film, Tron.  Doctor Facilier continues to work on earning the trust of those around him, but not without making a dangerous enemy in the process and the masked killer is finally revealed.  My top 5 moments from Once Upon a Time season 7 episode 15 are:

“Your clandestine boyfriend…when were you going to tell me about this?”

After learning that Doctor Facilier is after the Dark One’s dagger, Regina needed to decide whether or not to involve Rumpel.  She does tell him what’s going on, but it’s clear that Rumpel is not pleased that she waited so long.  After all, Rumpel always knows more about keeping secrets than anyone else.  Rumpel gets a lead on Anastasia and explains to Regina that they need to find her before Ivy does to prevent her power from being unleashed into the wrong hands.  Even though Doctor Facilier is working very hard to win over the trust of Regina, Rumpel trusts him about as far as he can throw him.  The two come face to face and a new rivalry has emerged:  Rumpel vs Facilier, who will win?

“Operation Bromance is a go.”

Lucy confides in Regina that she feels awful about keeping her mother and father apart, but Regina assures her that she is doing the right thing until they can figure out a way to break the curse without harming Henry.  While Jacinda has Lucy to cheer her up, Lucy is worried about her father, Henry.  Thus creating, “Operation Bromance.”  Back in the world prior to the curse, Regina explains that Henry’s two best friends were Nook/Rogers and Jack/Nick.  Lucy strategically texts them all to get them down to “Flynn’s Arcade” in an effort to provide Henry with some much needed fun.  Henry is not initially pleased saying, “she literally texted me into the friend zone,” but Lucy has good intentions.  After a while, Henry begins to relax and have a good time with his friends, making “Operation Bromance” a success, until he makes wagers about who will walk through the door next.

“The next girl who walks through the door, I’m going to ask her out.”

In walks Jacinda, as if straight out of a cheesy romantic comedy flick that makes you cry even though you’ll never admit it.  The lighting is just right, her hair has just the right amount of bounce, and she smiles at Henry so brilliantly that you can practically see stars in their eyes.  Fate has brought these two crazy kids together again and the begin talking about odds and chances, proving that you make your own luck, but sometimes destiny has a funny way of not letting go until nature runs the right course.  While it’s great to see this moment between Jacinda and Henry, it’s dangerous for them to be together until Regina and Lucy can break the curse.  But will they be too late?

“I guess you underestimated the power of sisterhood.”

Just as Ivy/Drizella has announced that she will make amends and do good, temptation comes her way several times throughout the episode, making her choices that much more important.  She initially turns down Gothel’s deal and takes a stand against her, refusing to make the same mistake she did when she killed Gretel to join the coven.  Even though Ivy/Drizella is standing alone, she needs to stay strong in order to survive.  However, this becomes difficult when the killer targets her next.  Luckily, her pepper spray and stiletto heel provide just the right amount of back-up to get away, but Ivy/Drizella is clearly feeling vulnerable now that she knows her life is in immediate danger.  With perfect timing, Doctor Facilier approaches her and offers her up a deal.  He explains that she can use a magic bean to escape to another realm, but she will need to sacrifice her sister, Anastasia to do so.  Doctor Facilier tries to manipulate her decision by explaining that Ana will die either way, but at least she can survive in one outcome.  Ivy/Drizella is able to bring Anastasia to her with the help of a lighted lantern but makes the horrible decision to choose herself over her sister.  The tables turn quickly, however; as Gothel wakes Anastasia up and puts sister against sister.  Ivy/Drizella has made numerous mistakes just like her mother, Victoria and now she has one final chance to do something right.  She drops her weapon and the two sisters choose their bond over revenge, spoiling Gothel’s plan.  It took you long enough Ivy/Drizella, but we’re happy to see you finally get it right.

Intentions are revealed.

Even though Ivy/Drizella has left this realm with her sister, she did not have the key to breaking Henry’s curse, which leaves Regina in the same mess she was in before.  Doctor Facilier approaches her and explains that he merely left the two sisters so they could find each other and tapped into Ana’s magic when they re-formed their bond.  Regina is still skeptical at this point of Doctor Facilier’s motives, but he gives her the magic as a gift so that she can use it to find a way to save her son.  Regina tries not to let her feelings get in the way as she asks what the price is of accepting this gift.  Doctor Facilier charmingly explains that “the only price is your smile,” but it seems a little bit too cliché if you ask me.  While Doctor Facilier may have Regina fooled for now, Rumpel is not about to let him just take his dagger.  While all of this is going on, the masked killer is finally revealed to be…..Jack/Nick.  But why?  What does he have to gain here?  Who will he target next?  Stay tuned to find out!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Supernatural” season 13 episode 16: “Scoobynatural”

Happy Friday TV fans!  After watching the CW’s Supernatural season 13 episode 16 last night, I’m excited to have new episodes back.  Even our favorite brothers, Sam and Dean, seemed ready to sit back and relax with their own brand new television.  That is until it transports them right into an episode of “Scooby Doo.”  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.  In last night’s episode, “Scoobynatural,” Sam and Dean are on a case that involves some type of cursed object and a giant plush dinosaur toy.  Sounds ridiculous?  Well it sort of is but that’s what makes the set up so believable for them being transported directly into a cartoon.  While it seems like this is another one of Dean’s favorite episodes of “Scooby Doo,” things start to go horribly wrong and it’s clear that there is something supernatural at play here.  My top 5 moments from Supernatural season 13 episode 16 are:

“Be like Elsa…let it go.”

After Dean made a joke a few episodes ago about Sam’s hair sharing a lot of the same lustrous qualities of a Disney princess, I found this comment absolutely hysterical.  The episode in general does what Supernatural does best.  It takes a quick pause from the chaos surrounding them as they desperately try to find a way to open the portal to another dimension to save Jack and their mother.  Sounds like quite the burden, right?  Well it is and that’s why it’s important for Supernatural to stay true to itself and balance out the overwhelmingly complicated task of saving the world with some good old fashioned mystery solving.  Even Dean recognizes this when he tells Sam to take a break from his research and check out his “Dean Cave” or “Fortress of Deanitude.”  I personally think the fortress has a nice ring to it, but it looks like Dean has put in a lot of effort to making this room the perfect distraction from the rest of the world…that is until him and Sam are sucked into the TV right into a cartoon.

After Sam and Dean rationalize what is going on and rule out that they are dreaming, they need to figure out why they are stuck in a cartoon.  They quickly realize that they are not just in any cartoon, but in an episode of “Scooby Doo,” which we learn is one of Dean’s absolute favorite shows.  Dean says, “They’re our role models.  We do the same thing.  Cas is kinda like a talking dog.”  While I’m not sure I would go that far, he does have a valid point.  Dean practically sees stars when he comes face to face with his crush, Daphne and it seems like he is having a difficult time winning her over with his charm.  Her indifferent rejection of Dean is hilarious as she is oblivious to the school-boy crush he has on her, as she tries to stay on course with the case at hand.  Dean is also not a fan of Fred and vents to Sam about his issues with him, which include his choice of accessories, like an ascot tie.  After getting over the shock that they are not getting out of this cartoon anytime soon, Dean starts to realize that the episode is going off course, especially when a victim is actually brutally killed.  “Jeepers!”  Dean takes his own turn at a catch phrase by saying, “son of a bitch.”  Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to have the same impact on the Scoobies.  It seems like something supernatural is at play here even though Velma rules this out saying there is no such thing.  It’s up to Sam and Dean to solve the case, but perhaps they need some back-up.

“Sam…Dean…this dog is talking.”

It seems like the only thing missing from this cartoon is the last member of Sam and Dean’s own gang, Castiel.  Castiel explains how he saw them on the TV screen and then saw a flash of purple lights, leading him right into the cartoon as well.  Castiel is clearly not sure what to make of everything around him, including a talking cartoon dog, but he tries to help as much as he can so that they can return to the real world safe and sound.

“Should have known Velma was good to go.”

Sam and Dean let the Scoobies know that everything supernatural is real and they enlist their help setting traps and teaming up to get to the bottom of everything and solve the case.  Sam pairs up with Velma who is enthralled by his large shoulders and blushes every time he glances her way.  It looks like Sam has really won over Velma, fogging up her glasses, while poor Dean is left trying to desperately win over Daphne’s affection.  At the end of the episode, Velma kisses Sam passionately, giving him something to remember her by for sure.  I guess the Disney Princess hair has quite the effect on the ladies after all.

Dean wears an ascot.

Sam, Dean, and Castiel solve the case with the help of the Scoobies and realize that the pawn shop owner had been using a cursed item tied to the spirit of a dead boy to further his real estate scams.  Before Sam and Dean leave, they set everything right and free the spirit so that the Scoobies aren’t scarred for life.  Sam and Dean confront the culprit and Dean sports his own ascot.  I guess Fred had a good impact on him after all.  While Dean didn’t get the girl, he certainly got the chance to be a part of his favorite television show.  I have to admit I am pretty jealous of that myself.  They smash the television and welcome back their everyday routine of fighting the good fight against the forces of evil.  “That’s all folks!”

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Riverdale” season 2 episode 17: The Wait is Over!

Happy Thursday TV fans!  After watching the CW’s Riverdale season 2 episode 17 last night, we learned that new alliances have been formed, which bring together former enemies and divide other families even further than Shakespeare could have thought even possible.  While the line between blood and loyalty has blurred almost into non-existence for some, others have put aside their selfish needs to do what is right for everyone.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.  In last night’s episode, “Chapter Thirty:  The Noose Tightens,” the car in Swedlow Swamp resurfaces, causing new enemies to come to town and pushing Alice to the breaking point.  Meanwhile, Betty wants a serpent tattoo, Archie continues to act first and think later, and Veronica and Toni team up to rescue Cheryl from the “Sisters of Quiet Mercy.”  My top 5 moments from Riverdale season 2 episode 17 are:

“No need to become the Montagues and Capulets just yet.”

It’s all out in the open now that Fred Andrews is running for mayor against Hermione Lodge and it’s about time someone took a stand to protect the town of Riverdale.  When the Andrews family comes face to face with the Lodge family, you can cut the tension with way more than a knife.  Veronica and Archie immediately detect that this is only going to get worse and Veronica tries to make light of it with some Shakespeare humor.  However, we all know that Romeo and Juliet was a tragedy and that the young lovers are the ones who get caught up in the cross fire.  Can the same be said for team Varchie?

Nothing stays hidden for long.

Alice is shocked to learn that the car belonging to the man Chic killed, Dwayne, has re-surfaced in Swedlow Swamp.  Alice sits down with FP, Jughead, and Betty to come up with a plan and FP reminds them of the importance of laying low and acting normal in the meantime.  However, Betty even admits that “normal is investigating when the world says they shouldn’t.”  Our favorite detective team, Bughead enlists the help of Kevin to get more information and is shocked to learn that the stolen car has been claimed by the owner.  Chic involves himself further than he should and contacts Darla who is the ex-girlfriend of Dwayne.  As if right on cue, Darla shows up at the Cooper house and tries to blackmail them for $10,000.  Alice is more than happy to give her the money and wipe her hands clean of this whole mess, but the drama isn’t over just yet.

“Who are you Archie?”

An excellent question from his mother and Archie should really take some time and look in the mirror to figure it out.  Archie continues to make the wrong decisions and is losing his temper more and more.  Archie even threatens some of Mr. Lodge’s criminal business associates without blinking an eye, which even has Mr. Lodge reminding him that he shouldn’t pick a fight he can’t finish.  After the Lodge family discovers that “Agent Adams” has double crossed them, they are not sure what the long term plan is.  The Lodge family is currently in danger, but Archie will stop at nothing to protect him.  Rather than show up to support his father announcing his intent to run for Mayor, Archie sets the “Dark Circle” loose on their enemies, which leads to him getting a thank you car from Mr. Lodge.  Archie is creating an even bigger divide between him and his family without realizing it, which has us wondering, is all of this really worth losing your soul over?  A Faustian deal comes to mind, especially when we can easily imagine Mr. Lodge as the devil, signing contracts in blood.  Will Archie be able to come back from this?  Will his family be able to forgive him?

Alice makes the right decision.

When Betty goes to retrieve the $10,000 from the bank, the man who was Chic’s “manager” shows up as well and it’s clear that the Cooper family is in a lot of trouble again because of Chic.  Luckily, the Serpent gang shows up as back-up to help them.  Darla and the manager leave for now with the cash, but it’s still very dangerous that they know more than they should.  After all, secrets never stay buried for long in Riverdale.  Alice is beyond grateful and makes an announcement to the Serpents that she is done attacking the South Side.  She makes the difficult decision to ask her son, Chic to leave since he has put her family in danger twice now and then shows up later on FP’s doorstep.  Are Alice and FP back together?  Will Chic really stay away?

Toni rescues Cheryl.

Fans were more than disappointed after the interrupted first kiss between Choni, but fear not, love is still blooming in the air.  Toni enlists the help of Veronica and Josie to help find Cheryl, as she knows that there is no way that she is being held in a boarding school, especially since her social media account has been dead silent.  The girls go and confront Mrs. Blossom who is armed and ready.  She tells them that Cheryl is mentally ill and even shows Josie the picture that Cheryl sketched not too long ago of the two of them, revealing that Cheryl was the one who was threatening and stalking her.  Josie is out, but Veronica and Toni are not about to completely abandon their friend.  Nana Rose makes the right call and tries to help Toni find Cheryl but is rudely interrupted by Uncle Claudius.  They then learn from Kevin that the “Sisters of Quiet Mercy” practice gay conversion therapy and that there is a secret tunnel that can lead them to Cheryl.  Toni and Veronica put on their fantastic spy-like outfits which have just the right amount of flair and break in.  Cheryl is stunned when she sees Toni and the two share a swoon-worthy kiss in front of the film screen.  The cheers for Choni should be deafening as this kiss was well worth the wait.  Veronica and Toni successfully rescue Cheryl who is surprisingly not broken from this ordeal.  Rather, she says that “revenge is a dish best served cold,” and informs Kevin that she is ready to take on the lead of the school play, which is none other than Carrie White from Stephen King’s classic.  While I’m sure that Cheryl can pull off anything, including being covered in pig’s blood, her family better watch out for sure since Cheryl is no stranger to making things in her way burn to the ground.  Stay tuned!  New episodes return on April 18th!
