Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 14: “A Sort of Homecoming”

Happy Saturday TV fans! After watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 14, I learned that sometimes you are meant to wind up exactly where you started. So, do you take the fresh start or head back into the heart of unknown destruction?

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In episode 14, “A Sort of Homecoming,” Clarke and the others are reunited back on Earth, but not everyone is ready to leave the people of Sanctum behind. Meanwhile, Sheidheda strikes a deal with Bill that endangers Madi and everyone attempts to cope with an unspeakable loss.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 14 are:

5

“I killed him…I had to.”

Clarke doesn’t hold anything back and immediately tells the others that she killed Bellamy. Octavia and Echo tell her that they understand, recognizing that the Bellamy they knew and loved was gone and that the true Bellamy would understand. There is a lot of coping going on in this episode as each character deals with this loss in their own way.

I have to admit that I even shed a tear when we saw Murphy crying, which was extremely emotional for me.

4

“Welcome home.”

When one door closes, another one opens. At least we finally find out where Gaia is and learn that she is alive and well. Phew!

Gaia fills us in on what we’ve missed and everyone is reunited…at least for now.

3

“We were all Blodreina.”

Being back on Earth proves to be difficult for Octavia. Many of her memories come rushing back from her time as Blodreina and we even see a flashback of Kane. Indra reminds Octavia that they were all Blodreina and explains that they will face her demons together, which was a nice sentiment.

2

“I decided for everyone. That’s what I do.”

Madi is upset with Clarke for killing Bellamy to protect her and Clarke breaks down to her and tries to explain that this is what she does. This is not the first time we have seen Clarke carry the weight of the world on her shoulders to protect her friends.

She makes the hard decisions so that they don’t have to, but this was probably the most difficult one of her life.

That being said, let’s hope it was worth it…

1

“No one else is dying to save me.”

After making a deal with Bill, Sheidheda is somehow still OK to continue to annoy us and goes after Madi, revealing what he knows about her memories. Clarke realizes that she is in danger, desperately trying to find her before it is too late.

Madi is actually taking a minute to enjoy herself, learning piano from Gabriel, which was a sweet moment.

Unfortunately the moment is short-lived, as Gabriel is stabbed by invisible Sheidheda. Gabriel dies trying to save Madi and Sheidheda manages to go through the anomaly after getting quite the beat down from the incredible Indra and Gaia tag team.

Madi refuses to let anyone else die because of her and uses the knife to transport herself to Bill before Clarke can stop her. Then, we get more visitors and some kind of cave-in like explosion that could potentially trap or endanger Memori…don’t even get me started on that.

We know that Clarke has always been trying to protect her daughter, but Madi is capable of true leadership and strength and perhaps Clarke needs to have faith in her.

Only two episodes left!

May we meet again.

Rest in peace, Gabriel.

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 1: “From the Ashes”

Happy Thursday TV fans! The wait is over and the final season is here! After watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 1 season premiere, I was reminded that “none of this makes any sense, but my god, it’s incredible!” Our favorite characters may all be on new paths now, but as Indra hilariously pointed out: “new world…same problems.”

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “From the Ashes,” Clarke is ready to put an end to violence on Sanctum, but has she really taken a moment to deal with her own grief? Meanwhile, Bellamy, Echo, and Gabriel deal with Hope and the anomaly.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 1 season premiere are:

5

“There’s never been an ex commander…”

Well, I suppose there is a first time for everything. Creepy Sheidheda may be gone from Madi, but so is the flame. Only Madi is not aware of that fact. Everyone is determined to keep up appearances so they can maintain the peace, but it’s only a matter of time before everything falls apart.

After all, this is The 100. Everyone assumes that Sheidheda is gone, but we know that he’s going to rear his creepy head again soon. Either way, it was nice to see Madi enjoying some normalcy in a real home with a dog.

I’m not sure that she can hold on to that childhood innocence for much longer though.

4

“To Abby.”

Everyone takes a moment to mourn the loss of Abby, but I’m not sure that Clarke has fully dealt with anything. Meanwhile, Murphy starts to develop a serious case of remorse, blaming himself for Abby’s death.

Raven reminds Murphy and Emori that they need to keep up appearances and pretend to be Primes which leads to a great performance from one of my favorite couples, but I’m not sure that everyone is buying it.

3

“Trust Bellamy.”

Of course we trust Bellamy, but Diyoza’s grown up daughter, Hope, reads this message as she enters Sanctum from the anomaly.

After Bellamy and Echo get separated, Echo shows off just how bad-ass she can be. I have to say that I am really liking her character development, but I still need her to move aside so I can finally have my Bellarke moment.

With the help of Gabriel and Hope, Echo takes down an invisible threat and the three of them head off into the anomaly to see if they can find Octavia.

The anomaly plot may be the most complicated one on the show, but my biggest question is:

Where are Bellamy and Octavia?

I just hope we don’t have to wait until the end of the series to see Bellamy reunited with Clarke…

2

“You take a breath and then another.”

That’s actually really great advice, Clarke, but “why are you protecting the man who killed your mother?” Clarke seems focused on putting an end to war and violence on Sanctum, but this is easier said than done.

Everyone wants Russell to burn, but Clarke keeps him alive. Only Russell continues to push some buttons when he hands Clarke her mother’s things, sparking her emotions and grief within her.

The 100 7 1 4 The CW

Clarke loses control and begins beating up Russell as she screams, “Is this what you want?” Meanwhile, creepy Sheidheda now has control of Russell and is clearly up to no good.

I can’t say that I really blame Clarke, but we now have a new problem…Sheidheda.

1

“Sanctum is free!”

Is it though? Clarke makes this big speech and declaration after her encounter with Russell. She says that Russell will burn for his crimes, as her friends watch in confusion. Clarke is going down a very dangerous path and I don’t think that her mother would approve.

Maybe we need Bellamy to get her back on track…

Either way, this was a jam-packed season premiere and I can’t wait to see how the show ends. I am really hoping we finally get a real and true Bellarke moment that I can ship. Fingers crossed!!!!!

May we meet again.

Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 6 episode 2: “Isn’t this your home?”

Happy Wednesday TV fans!  After watching the CW’s The 100 season 6 episode 2, I learned that “not everything that’s miraculous is a miracle.”  But what happens when you are trapped within your circumstances with no way out?  Do you rely on others or do you look within yourself to find a way to survive?  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.  In last night’s episode, “Red Sun Rising,” Clarke and the others deal with the air contamination threat, as they begin to realize that any one of them can become a danger to themselves and others.  Meanwhile, Octavia’s rage continues to spiral out of control and everyone else on board the ship has to deal with some hijackers.  My top 5 moments from The 100 season 6 episode 2 are:

5

“Sanctum is mine!”

In the beginning of the episode, we get to see Alpha, or “Sanctum,” approximately 236 years earlier.  We see a small group of people there and watch in horror as a young girl’s father turns on everyone he loves.  This glimpse into the past allowed us to learn that this threat in the air has been around for quite some time and no one is safe.  So is there any way to stop it or will the group be forced to find somewhere else to live?  I mean, I think we are running out of planets and moons at this point…

4

“You’re both soft and that’s why you woke me up.”

We knew it would only be a matter of time before drama kicked in on the ship, as some hijackers come on board and lock our group in the mess hall.  Raven is not with them and doesn’t have many choices if she wants to save her friends, which causes her to wake up Diyoza.  Diyoza is ready for action even though she is heavily pregnant, as she takes down the majority of the hijackers and tries to negotiate with the remaining ones.

After Diyoza’s plan comes undone, Madi jumps in with perfect timing to help save the day, so it looks like everyone has officially woken up, but who are these hijackers and what do they want?  Madi has questions and so do I, as we learn that one could have been a Nightblood.  The surviving female hijacker is taken hostage, as she leads Abby and some of the others to Clarke’s group, but what do they ultimately want and can they be trusted?  I’m anxious to find out for sure.

3

“Let her live with what she’s become.”

In this episode, Octavia’s rage continues to spiral out of control, as she begins channeling her anger and beating up a wall on the ship.  We know that Octavia has a lot of issues to work through and she is all for placing the blame on anyone except herself, but it looks like she is going down a very dangerous path.  Octavia isn’t making any friends and it looks like she is enjoying her punishment, as they all begin beating her up, but Abby stops it and says that she will live with what she’s become.  Is this the right choice?  Can Octavia turn a corner?  We’ll have to wait and see, but perhaps she can put her fighting skills to good use when they get on the ground.

2

“We have no idea how to survive down here.”

Clarke and the others begin to take extreme measures, realizing that any one of them could have been exposed to the threat in the air…or the plants?  They all separate and chain themselves up to stop them from harming one another, but we witness the hallucinations tear this group apart, threatening their lives.  It’s clear that this threat is very dangerous and unstable, but we really don’t know much about it.  I’m actually extremely worried to see if Octavia is eventually exposed to this, as she is already channeling enough rage for an entire Wonkru army…

1

“Isn’t this your home?”

At the end of the episode, Clarke is reunited with her mother and the others, while the female hijacker looks around in concern.  It seems like the eclipse is now over, along with the threat, as a group of children approach them.  A little girl asks Clarke if they are there to take them home, which confuses Clarke and the others.  As if this isn’t cryptic enough, Murphy also has some kind of disease spreading over his body, so what does this mean for him?  Perhaps these children will be able to give us some answers, but why did it seem like the female hijacker was afraid of them?  Is it possible that they are immune to the threat?  Stay tuned!
