Ranking the top Couples on Television for 2020: Ships that will warm your heart all year round!

As the New Year quickly approaches, it really got me thinking about some of my absolute favorite couples or ships on television. Whether it was a moment of passion, a first kiss, or a love built on friendship, there were many ships that had my heart skipping a beat, as I gasped for air and fell in love along with them.

It was difficult for me to narrow down my favorite ships for 2020 and I didn’t think it was possible for me to choose my absolute favorite one, which is where you came in!

I ran a three round poll (randomized tournament style) on Twitter and asked for fans to cast their votes for their favorite ships of the year on TV.  Thank you so much for your participation and support, as the tournament was so much fun and actually really competitive!

*This was actually the biggest response I have ever gotten on one of these and we ended up having over a thousand votes in the final round! Amazing!

Round One featured the following ships/couples from 2020:

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 16: “The Last War”

Happy Sunday TV fans! After watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 16 series finale, I remembered that “whatever happens next, we stick together.”

Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In episode 16, “The Last War,” Clarke steps up to take the test for all of humanity, but is she really the right choice? Meanwhile, a distraction quickly becomes a war while Emori tries to hold on.

The end is here and I have mixed thoughts on the series finale, but I will forever love this show.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 16 series finale are:

5

“Just save her.”

The beginning of the episode brings us right back in where we left off. Murphy, Jackson, and Raven attempt to save Emori’s life. Unfortunately she doesn’t make it and Murphy’s reaction completely shattered my heart.

Murphy demands that they put Emori’s mind space into his own head so that he can see her again, but we know that only one mind can survive…

Seriously, Memori too? I am still in tears.

Memori The 100

Images courtesy of The CW

Emori tells Murphy that he can’t do this and wants him to wake up, but Murphy tells her that a few more hours with her is worth more than spending forever without her.

4

“You don’t know my pain.”

After Bill initiates the test, the higher being comes to him in the form of his daughter, which gave us some intense foreshadowing for sure. Clarke arrives and kills Bill, but it does not stop the test.

Instead, she has to now face it and her guide is…Lexa! Yep, that’s right. The return of Lexa is finally upon us. Clarke embraces her immediately even though she understands that it is not her, but I did shed quite a few tears. Clexa still gives me chills.

Clarke and Lexa The 100

Images courtesy of The CW

Clarke challenges the higher being again and again, but she fails the test for all of humanity.

3

“Yours is an interesting choice.”

Clarke accepts defeat and tells Raven that she wants to be with Madi. I’ve always said that if there is anyone I completely trust to save me, it’s Raven Reyes and she taps into the test as well to try her luck.

Raven comes face to face with Abby, which gave us a chance to say hello to another beloved character. Raven always thought of Abby as her own mother and they had one of the most complicated and real relationships on the show.

Raven and Abby The 100

Images courtesy of The CW

Raven is told that the test is over and that humanity has failed, but she tries to get the higher being to change her mind, asking her for the chance to do better and live.

2

“The only way to win is not to fight.”

The higher being tries to show Raven that her people are already at war, proving her point that they are not ready for transcendence. Sheidheda shows up with bad timing to inspire violence, but Indra gets rid of him pretty quickly. It’s about time…

Meanwhile, Levitt tries to get everyone to stop fighting and is shot, as Octavia rushes over to save him. The character growth that we have been witnessing for seven years illuminates before us as Octavia stands before everyone and tells them not to fight.

She explains that, “We are mankind. We are Wonkru…our fight is over.” Bellamy would be proud.

Octavia The 100 series finale

Images courtesy of The CW

The higher being is surprised when everyone actually stops fighting. But instead of giving them all a chance to live like Raven requested, she decides to let them transcend anyway…

We’ll get to that later.

1

“A curious species indeed.”

Transcendence begins and everyone starts turning into little glowy balls of energy. We know that the dead cannot transcend which means that we will not see Bellamy, but this does save Memori, Echo, and Levitt so there’s that.

Clarke says goodbye to Madi and she is able to transcend as well, but she is left alone.

Luckily Clarke has the dog to keep her company, but when he rushes off, she screams out that she doesn’t want to be alone.

Clarke failed the test, but also committed murder during it, which means that she is not able to transcend with the rest of humanity. Clarke has always been the one to bear the burden so that her friends don’t have to, but this is to the extreme.

The higher being appears to her again as Lexa and explains that “transcendence is a choice.” Her friends have chosen to return to stay with her even though they will  be giving up their chance at ultimate transcendence, reinforcing the “live together, die alone” motto from LOST.

Clarke embraces her friends and we are left with an uplifting soundtrack to end the series.

I’m glad that Clarke is with her friends again, but I have several issues with the series finale. I hate that we never got the chance to witness a Bellarke moment and I’m not really sure why everyone got to transcend.

Wouldn’t it have made more sense to actually grant Raven’s request for them all to live? I mean, I guess Memori and the others wouldn’t be saved if we went down that route, but it just seemed like a cop out to me.

I love this series and it’s one that I plan to go back and re-watch again, but I guess I wanted something more from the finale.

Either way, the journey is over…May We Meet Again.

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on The 100 in the comments section below.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 15: “The Dying of the Light”

Happy Saturday TV fans! After watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 15, I learned that “war is a failure of everything,” but is there a difference between a war and a test? We’re coming to the end now, but who will make it out alive?

Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In episode 15, “The Dying of the Light,” Clarke teams up with Octavia to rescue Madi. Meanwhile, Murphy and Raven work together to try and save Emori.

Another emotional episode that still has me in tears…

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 15 are:

5

“Let’s do it.”

The 100 season 7 episode 15 Octavia and Clarke 1

Images courtesy of The CW

Clarke and Octavia don’t waste any time after Madi willingly transports herself to the Disciples. I have always liked the Clarke and Octavia duo, but this might be their toughest challenge yet.

They have both faced so much and yet they are still being tested again and again.

I still feel like Clarke will be the one to take the final test for humanity, but one should never discount Octavia Blake, who has one of the most developed and interesting character arcs I have ever witnessed on a show.

4

“Everyone I love dies.”

Literally everyone featured in this episode takes a few minutes to reflect on how many loved ones they have lost. Clarke reveals that if she loses Madi, she will have nothing and be nothing.

Clarke has always risked it all to save everyone else, but what happens when she has nothing left to live for?

Is it possible for the test to reset everything or is everything final? We’ll have to wait and see, but I have to imagine that there is some kind of happy ending waiting for Clarke Griffin.

She deserves it after all she has been through…

3

“We need a distraction.”

Sheidheda is finally put to good use when Clarke and Octavia arrive. They recognize that they can’t rush in to save Madi with guns blazing and make a deal with Sheidheda. Sheidheda releases some of his fury on the Disciples and shows off just how terrifying and ruthless he can be.

He has made an exit for now, but it’s only a matter of time before he shows up again to create some more drama.

2

“You choose everyone.”

The 100 season 7 episode 15 Raven

Images courtesy of The CW

After the explosion, Memori gets pinned under some rubble and has a wound that is bleeding out quickly. Murphy and Raven work with Jackson to save Emori’s life, but she is running out of time.

Memori has some heartwarming words that really got to me. I seriously cannot handle another loss like this as I am still not fully recovered over what happened to Bellamy.

Raven’s friendship with both Murphy and Emori is so beautiful and she does everything in her power to get her friend back to Sanctum so Jackson can operate on her. However, Emori tells Raven to choose everyone, recognizing that Murphy will not be able to make the difficult choice.

Raven convinces her that she can save her and the rest of the world and if there is anyone I am putting my faith in…it’s Raven Reyes.

Hang on Emori!

1

“I’m right here.”

After Madi’s valiant attempt to deal with Bill’s memory machine, she suffers from a massive stroke and is essentially brain dead. Octavia and a heartbroken Clarke find her. She is breathing, but Levitt says that it is not recoverable.

The 100 season 7 episode 15 Clarke and Madi

Octavia refuses to let Clarke live with this and tells her that she will be the one to end Madi’s life. She reminds Clarke that Madi can hear her, as Clarke sings to her.

Before Octavia can pull the trigger, Levitt explains that Bill retrieved the memory he needed and Clarke realizes that she cannot let Bill be the one to take the test for all of humanity.

She promises Madi that she will make this right and be back for her, as the episode ends with Madi shedding a single tear that had me sobbing uncontrollably.

Seriously, I don’t know if I can handle any more heartbreak on this show.

One more episode left.

How will it end?

May we meet again…

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 13: “Blood Giant”

Happy Thursday TV fans! After watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 13, I am left in complete shock. We learned that “the path of the prophet is always hard,” but wow…seriously I still haven’t even dealt with what I just watched.

Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In episode 13, “Blood Giant,” Clarke realizes that she has walked into quite the mess, but the Disciples are only interested in obtaining the key. Meanwhile, we get some character reunions, a timely release of the killer bug toxin, and a shocking demise that I never saw coming.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 13 are:

5

“Here’s my proposal…”

Bill and The Disciples don’t want to be bothered with whatever primitive nonsense Sheidheda is leading and they make a proposal. Bill wants to go on his way and get the hell off his planet, explaining that Sheidheda can then do whatever he wants.

To show he means business, his invisible guards easily take out Sheidheda’s men and wound him, reminding us who the bigger threat is here.

We also finally get a mention of Gaia, as everyone knows that she is not where she is supposed to be. I guess we’ll catch up with her soon, but at least everyone is on the same page now.

4

“Two bugs with one stone.”

The 100 season 7 episode 13 The CW 1

Images courtesy of The CW

I don’t know who comes up with the timing on this show, but while everything is going on, the toxins and killer bugs are also released with the red sun. Remember that? The bugs try to eat your face and the toxins cause our characters to see deadly hallucinations.

Luckily Emori comes up with a plan to keep the bugs out and has really stepped up as a hero. Just think about how far her character has come. The selfish cutthroat is now a leader and a really good one. Plus, she’s just so incredibly cute with Murphy!

Maybe at least we will get one happy ending for one of our ships…

3

“It’s good to be back.”

The 100 seaosn 7 episode 13 The CW 2

Images courtesy of The CW

Josephine is back. Well, sort of. As the toxins leak into the air, Gabriel gets infected and begins having hallucinations of Josephine. She tries to talk him into volunteering as tribute to be the one to “save the world,” but he has a change of heart at the last second and destroys the flame.

See ya, Josephine!

2

“You live with what you’ve done.”

The 100 season 7 episode 13 The CW

Images courtesy of The CW

We get several character reunions during this episode. Clarke is reunited with Madi and Raven and Murphy manage to make us laugh quite a few times to give us some nostalgia. However, I kept getting the feeling that a main character was about to die and it seemed like all signs were pointing to Raven.

As Raven enters the reactor, her guilt and remorse eat away at her. Nikki shows up and threatens to kill her, but Raven admits that what she did was wrong and tells her she understands.

However, Nikki decides to actually let Raven live, which really threw me for a loop. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore Raven Reyes, but I thought she was the character to go.

In order for The 100 to truly reach its peak as we approach the series finale in a few episodes, someone has to go.

So if not Raven, then who?

Even Indra gets her shot at ending Sheidheda’s life and decides to let him just bleed out, refusing to waste any more time on him.

And here we go…

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD…

1

“I said I wouldn’t lose anyone else…”

After the flame is destroyed, the anomaly is opened by Bill and Clarke demands that he take them to their missing friends. Bill agrees, but Bellamy is still heartbroken after losing his Disciple friend.

He tries to tell Clarke that he has been trying to save them all, but she doesn’t want to hear it and tells him, “so much for together.”

Sheidheda continues to be the worm that he is and points Bellamy to the book that would expose Madi. We know that Clarke will do anything to protect her daughter, but Bellamy tries to reason with her.

In a completely shocking and heartbreaking moment, Clarke tells Bellamy she is sorry too and shoots and kills Bellamy.

We get a final shot of his lifeless body to confirm that Bellamy Blake is actually dead this time.

The 100 season 7 episode 13 The CW Bellamy Blake

There’s no question about it, Bellamy Blake is dead. He is the main character to go, but I have a lot of mixed feelings on this one.

First off, why did we waste so much time on thinking he was dead to find out that he was actually alive for us to get to this moment? It really angered me.

Not only will I not get the Bellarke moment I have been dreaming of, but now even the idea of Bellarke has been shattered.

Lexa was shot and now Bellamy was shot. There is some poetry here for sure.

I guess I want to see what the point of this was. Has Clarke actually achieved what Bellamy was trying to do? Perhaps Clarke has been the prophet this entire time and did what was necessary to protect what she believes in, which Bellamy had been struggling with for the past few episodes.

This just proves more and more that Clarke is the ultimate key and I have to imagine that she will be the one to step up to the test for all of humanity.

May we meet again.

Rest in peace, Bellamy Blake. My soul is shattered.

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 12: “The Stranger”

Happy Monday TV fans! After finally watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 12, I learned that sometimes we need to ask ourselves: “Is the thing you believe in really that important?”

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In episode 12, “The Stranger,” Sheidheda continues to force the people of Sanctum to kneel, but Memori takes matters into their own hands. Meanwhile, Bellamy tries to figure out a way to save his friends while still maintaining his new beliefs.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 12 are:

5

“Welcome to new Sanctum.”

Let’s be honest. I don’t think that Sanctum has had a drama-free moment since our favorite characters arrived here, but things are taking a turn for the worse under Sheidheda’s rule.

He wipes out the Children of Gabriel after they refuse to kneel to him, reminding everyone that he means business.

The 100 7 12 1 Memori

Luckily, Indra, Emori, and Murphy are working together to keep innocents safe and hidden, but it’s only a matter of time before their secret is unraveled…

4

“Who the hell are you?”

After getting over the initial shock of Bellamy being alive, Echo takes a moment to ask him what’s really going on. Bellamy wants to figure out a way to fix the flame because he knows it is the only way to save his friends, but sooner or later…he’s going to have to make a choice.

The 100 7 12 2 Becho
Images courtesy of The CW

Let’s just hope it’s the right one.

3

“She did it to save your soul.”

We get several heart-to-heart talks during this episode, but Hope is really taking her mother’s death hard. Jordan sheds some light and proves to be a good listener. Diyoza’s sacrifice was to protect her daughter, but Hope needs to find the strength within her to help save her friends.

I have a feeling that she is going to be extremely important at the end of all of this. And let’s not forget about Octavia and Clarke’s talk about family. I keep getting the feeling that someone else is about to die…

2

“I’m proud of you Murphy.”

There is still a lot of setup around Murphy’s character development. We know that he has embraced his heroic side, but it’s making me wonder if he will be the main character to die. He has done so much and now he is revealing a truly selfless side.

The 100 7 12 3 The CW
Images courtesy of The CW

Sheidheda finds the hiding spot and holds Murphy captive, as they continue their complicated game of chess, but is his life in real danger here?

I think it’s time for him to get some serious backup…

1

“What the hell happened here?”

A good question for sure. After Clarke is tortured to extract her memories, Bellamy realizes that he may be out of chances to save her and his friends. When Clarke’s friends are threatened, she agrees to bring the Disciples to the flame, but he first sends her friends through the anomaly to an unknown planet.

I have a feeling they will finally meet up with Gaia here, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, Clarke goes through the anomaly to Sanctum with Bill and the others and Murphy is beyond thrilled to see her. However, Clarke has certainly walked into quite the mess.

I think another war is about to begin…

May we meet again.

Stay tuned! New episodes return September 9th 2020!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 10: “A Little Sacrifice”

Happy Monday TV fans! After finally watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 10, I learned that “every war seems like the last one…until the next.”

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In episode 10, “A Little Sacrifice,” we meet up with Clarke in present time, as answers are revealed about the end of the world. Meanwhile, Memori risks it all to help others in need and Indra faces off against Sheidheda.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 10 are:

5

“You want my help? Earn it.”

Clarke is the queen of bad-ass quotes on this show and I was happy to finally witness some well deserved screen time for her. We have been jumping all over the map and through time, so it was nice to finally allow our main character to step up to the plate…especially since she is the key to everything.

The 100 season 7 10 1 The CW
Images courtesy of The CW

Clarke is concerned when Echo, Diyoza, and Octavia say that they are committed to the cause and demands to know what has been done to them. She wants to get everyone off the planet and back to Sanctum, but that’s easier said than done.

4

“I think you’re becoming someone worth believing in.”

I think it’s safe to say that John Murphy has been transforming into the hero we all knew he could be for quite some time, but it was definitely a sweet moment to hear Emori say this. Murphy realizes that they will be risking their lives to help the people of Sanctum, but the selfish cockroach has shed that former life and is now embracing his heroic side.

The 100 season 7 10 2 The CW
Images courtesy of The CW

Gotta say that it’s great to see our hero shining!

3

“Single combat!”

The showdown we have been waiting for has finally arrived, as Sheidheda and Indra fight for leadership over their people. Sheidheda wants everyone to kneel to him, but Indra shows off some bad-ass fighting skills to protect her people.

The 100 7 10 3 the CW
Images courtesy of The CW

Only it doesn’t go so well for Indra, but Madi steps in to save her. Indra wants to protect Madi and promises to kneel to Sheidheda if he spares her. There has to be a way to stop this guy…

2

“This is not what Bellamy would have wanted…”

Good news…Echo isn’t brainwashed after all! She has a plan and she helps Hope break out so that they can all get the hell off this planet. Echo is willing to sacrifice herself, but Raven is the one who ends up talking her out of it.

We get several discussions about Bellamy throughout the episode, which certainly hints at the idea of him still being alive…we’ll get to that later.

1

“Be better than me.”

Things then get a little bit crazy when Hope decides to kill Anders, ready to sacrifice herself instead, but Diyoza refuses to let that happen and catches the droplet in the nick of time.

The 100 7 10 5 The CW
Images courtesy of The CW

Hope watches in horror as Diyoza dies in front of them. Diyoza reminds her to be better than her. This was heartbreaking to see, but I had already prepared myself for this possible outcome. I sort of already thought that Diyoza was gone in the prior season so when she came back now it made sense to use her as a plot device to allow Hope a second chance.

That being said, this moment was still incredibly heartbreaking to watch…

This was another great episode and it looks like the spoiler is out of the bag for next week’s episode, revealing that SPOILER ALERT…Bellamy is still alive. I thought so!

**Well, this could just be revealing what happened to Bellamy before he ended up in present time so he could still be dead, but I’m remaining optimistic and screen time for Bellamy is a very good thing!

The 100 7 10 4 the cw
Images courtesy of The CW

So, where is Bellamy and when is he? Is Gaia in the same place? What’s going on with this code and the test for humanity?

Still so many questions, but I’m hooked for sure!

May we meet again.

Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 9: “The Flock”

Happy Wednesday TV fans! After finally watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 9, I realized that trust is important. It’s important for one another and it’s important for mankind, but what happens when the people you trust the most turn against you?

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In episode 9, “The Flock,” we catch up with Octavia, Echo, Diyoza, and Hope, as they show us what happened three months prior to being reunited with Clarke. Meanwhile, Murphy and Indra team up with an unlikely ally to stop a hostage situation.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 9 are:

5

“This is all that is left…”

Well, we finally got to see what was behind door number one, as Octavia, Diyoza, Echo, and Hope follow Anders into the elevator three months prior to present day. As they accept their training to become disciples, they quickly learn that they are about to begin fighting an “unwinnable war,” as they now realize that Gabriel actually did save their lives.

The air outside is fatal and the condition of it suggests that perhaps there really will be nothing left at the end of all of this…

Let’s hope not!

4

“She’s brave. I’ll give her that.”

Meanwhile, back on Sanctum, Murphy is dealing with a hostage situation, as Nikki holds Emori and the rest of the people there hostage. Nikki wants Murphy, Russell, and Raven to turn themselves in, but that’s going to be a little difficult to achieve since Raven is currently MIA.

The 100 season 7 episode 9 The CW 2

Murphy definitely needs some backup here and luckily Indra hears the special announcement. Perhaps two out of three will satisfy Nikki, but Murphy is not going to leave his Emori behind.

“You’ve seen me at my worst…and best.”

I guess we weren’t too far off with the vibes we have been noticing between our girl Octavia and Levitt. Octavia is no stranger to the Romeo and Juliet type of forbidden love, but there is something really sweet and genuine about these two.

Octavia and the others are being told to check their emotions at the door, but it looks like Levitt is under her spell for good now…swoon!

Let’s just hope that Octavia finally gets a happily ever after because she has been through some real heartbreak and I’m not sure I can take much more.

2

“Following rules isn’t how you win a war.”

Well, maybe not, but Echo is tossing all of her emotions out the door. Anders notices that Echo is a model of perfect control and thinks she will be the way they win the war, but has Echo gone too far?

She is basically shedding her soul, but we know that it’s because she can’t process her grief over Bellamy. I just hope she doesn’t end up on a path of destruction because it’s not looking too good for her right now…

Everyone is given a series of tests during their training and the final test basically causes them to sacrifice someone they love for the good of all mankind. Echo passes her test with flying colors along with Diyoza and Octavia, but Hope is not able to do so.

Echo decides her punishment and banishes her to Penance for five years while poor Diyoza holds back her tears. Talk about brutal…

“What are subjects without kings?”

Murphy and Indra are forced to team up with Russell Prime (Sheidheda) and I’m not sure that this is really a beautiful friendship, but they have no choice. Murphy admits to everyone that they are not Primes and the truth is finally out in the open.

This leads to a lot of chaos, but luckily Indra shows up with perfect timing to save Murphy from being killed in front of Emori.

Sheidheda is loving the destruction and violence and finally rises as the new king as he slaughters the entire “flock” of people standing before him.

It looks like he is finally unleashing his wrath, but let’s hope that Indra can stop this demon once and for all. I’m rooting for you, Indra!

New episodes return August 5th 2020! Let’s hope we finally get some answers about where Gaia is and Bellamy’s confirmed fate.

May we meet again.

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 7: “The Queen’s Gambit”

Happy Thursday TV fans! After watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 7, I realized that “everybody has their weaknesses,” but sometimes we can turn our weakness into our strength.

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “The Queen’s Gambit,” Murphy agrees to a dangerous chess game with Sheidheda. Meanwhile, Emori attempts to maintain order in Sanctum, Echo has trouble dealing with her grief, and Madi just wants to play soccer.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 7 are:

5

“She’s the key to everything…”

The 100 7 7 1 The CW

OK, we get it. Clarke is the key. But why is she the key? After Gabriel is captured and brought to Anders, he learns that they need his help. In order for the true power of the stones to be unlocked, we need the key, but we still don’t know why Clarke is that key.

Gabriel agrees to help, but I’m curious to know more. We get this big talk about transcendence, which makes me wonder if Clarke is basically the key to the entire universe?

4

“How much do you want to know?”

The 100 7 7 2 The CW

Diyoza is more than thrilled to be reunited with her daughter, Hope, but she also doesn’t want her to follow in her footsteps. I think it’s safe to say that Hope did the right thing by training to fight, but I’m not sure she’s ready to truly face off against her bad-ass mother.

Hope learns a little bit more about her mother’s past and her father, but it’s clear that she is still trying to form some kind of identity. Let’s just hope this reunion isn’t short lived…

“It’s not your fault.”

The 100 7 7 3 The CW

I’ll take a Bellamy flashback until we get some real confirmation on his actual fate. I still don’t want to believe that our beloved character is dead, but it’s safe to say that Echo is not handling this well and I can’t say that I really blame her.

During the flashback, Bellamy reminds Echo that they are a team and talks to her about loyalty. Echo says that loyalty can’t be a weakness, but perhaps there is a lesson in here somewhere for her. Oh and we get a steamy Becho kiss in there…

In present day, Octavia tries to get through to Echo, understanding what she is going through, but Echo uses pain and anger to fight through. She slices her own face and is ready to fight, but is she going down a dangerous path?

2

“I know what it’s like to be thrown out like garbage.”

Meanwhile, Emori finally gets her moment in the spotlight. She has the chance to host a gathering that will bring the people of Sanctum together, but this is easier said than done. Emori is getting used to her new life, but she also remembers where she came from.

However, Emori’s plan goes south when Nikki crashes the party. There’s a new group taking over Sanctum and it looks like Emori is in some serious trouble now.

“Your move…”

The most interesting part of the episode was the chess showdown between Sheidheda (Russell Prime) and our very own cockroach, John Murphy. Murphy is up for the challenge, but the stakes are high and he knows that people will die if he loses.

There is this manipulative long con going on between the two of these characters and we finally see just what Sheidheda is capable of. We get a shout-out to Lexa, as Murphy brings her up to get under Sheidheda’s skin and we know that she is the one and true Commander!

Sheidheda talks a lot about survival, but he also brings up Murphy’s feelings for Emori. Murphy has always been one of my favorite characters on the show and part of that is because he really plays the jaded anti-hero so well. He makes the wrong decisions sometimes, but his love for Emori has really helped him became a hero.

We soon discover that Sheidheda was merely using Murphy to stall so that violence could erupt during Emori’s gathering. Murphy may have lost the match, but Sheidheda shouldn’t underestimate him.

Once again, this was another fantastic episode. At the very end, Clarke and the others arrive and meet up with Octavia and the characters being held captive. Clarke is exactly where Anders wants her to be and he wakes up…Bill. Remember him? He was the leader of the Second Dawn cult and knew Becca.

It looks like we’ll catch up with all of that in next week’s flashback episode.

May we meet again.

Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 6: “Nakara”

Happy Thursday TV fans! After watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 6, I realized that leadership is far from easy, but sometimes we need a warrior to remind us about what’s truly important.

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “Nakara,” Clarke and Raven deal with a new threat on a new planet. Meanwhile, Indra attempts to motivate Madi to lead, Memori provides some inspirational words, and Diyoza’s fate is revealed.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 6 are:

5

“What do you want?”

There are certainly a lot of threats brewing on the final season of The 100, but let’s not discount the angry widow, Nikki, who is not going to forget about what Raven’s actions cost her. She now realizes that Murphy was never in any real danger and wants revenge.

Oh and all of the guns are missing too…watch your back, Raven!

4

“Something’s down here…”

Meanwhile, we finally check back in on Clarke, Raven, and the others on the mysterious planet they stumbled upon, which seems to be some kind of a burial planet. There are a lot things not adding up, but Raven thinks that she can track down one of the stones so they can get back on track.

Only they travel into a cave to get the stone and are attacked by some kind of creepy alien creature. To make matters worse, they soon discover that the cave they are in is actually a living organism and they are its next meal…

3

“Mom…”

Diyoza gets some well deserved screen time in this episode and kicks ass! Wow, she is an unstoppable force! After taking out some guards with brutal intensity, she meets up with Hope, Octavia, Gabriel, and Echo. We get this heart-warming reunion between Diyoza and her grown up daughter and Octavia tells her that Bellamy is dead. (I still think he’s alive)

The 100 season 7 episode 6 3 The CW

The reunion is short-lived; however, as they need to find a way out of there and fast. Luckily, Levitt is back, but he’s been demoted to a janitor. He helps Octavia and her friends once again before getting punched in the face for appearances. I could absolutely feel the spark between these two, but poor Levitt may be out of luck in the love department.

After trusting Levitt, the group learns that the exit may not be survivable and Gabriel refuses to take any chances, but now his actions have led to them all getting captured so we’re kind of back where we started…

But at least everyone is together again!

2

“You’re a good person. Maybe the best I know.”

As the clock starts ticking inside the living organism, Raven breaks down and tells Clarke that she was afraid and that she should have gone inside of the reactor herself. Clarke reminds her about how many lives she has saved with her actions and tells her that she is the best person she knows in a truly touching moment.

The 100 season 7 episode 6 4 The CW

Over the seasons, Clarke and Raven’s friendship has been through a lot. It’s kind of crazy to think about how Clarke initially stole Raven’s boyfriend in season one. We also can’t forget about the beautiful relationship between Raven and Clarke’s mother, suggesting that these two are really more like sisters. They may not always see eye to eye on everything, but in the end, they are loyal to one another.

Luckily, the group makes it out of there in the nick of time with the anomaly stone, but let’s hope they arrive in a more secure location next…

1

“We are Wonkru!”

Back on Sanctum, Indra has her hands full with Sheidheda in Russell Prime’s body. She recognizes that she needs a leader that her people will follow in order to avoid more blood and destruction.

Indra tries to recruit Madi and explains that it has always been her destiny to be the Commander, but Madi ends up having second thoughts after getting a taste for a somewhat normal childhood. She has a panic attack and runs off before making her big speech, but Memori reminds Indra that she has always been the true leader of Wonkru.

Indra explains that her role has always been a warrior, but she is about to ascend to something even greater as she stands up in front of her people and tells them that she will lead them. Her speech is truly moving and motivational as she challenges anyone who opposes her with her bad-ass fighting skills.

I thought this moment was truly spectacular. Indra has been in the shadows for quite some time, but she really is the heart and soul of Wonkru. She reminds them that they are all one clan now. Watch out, Sheidheda. The true commander is coming for you!

Overall, this was another jam-packed episode with a lot going on. I still want to know where Gaia is and I also want some confirmation on Bellamy’s true fate.

May we meet again.

Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 7 episode 5: “Welcome to Bardo”

Happy Thursday TV fans! After watching The CW’s The 100 season 7 episode 5, I was reminded that sometimes you have to decide what’s more important: the individual or the collective? But when that individual is your whole world, the choice is not always so clear cut.

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “Welcome to Bardo,” Octavia undergoes trials that explore all of her memories. Meanwhile, we meet the leader of the Disciples, Indra discovers a shocking secret, and Murphy embraces his heroic side for the good of Sanctum.

My top 5 moments from The 100 season 7 episode 5 are:

5

“For the glory and the grace of the Primes.”

If you thought the chants were over, you were wrong. Even though Russell Prime’s life has been spared, his followers now want him to be released, but Indra stands her ground. His followers threaten to sacrifice one life per hour until he is released, which makes their blind faith extremely dangerous.

Images courtesy of The CW

It looks like Indra has her hands full here now that Clarke is gone…

4

“I am getting tired of being the hero.”

Indra realizes that another Prime needs to speak up before more lives are lost and Murphy is up for the challenge since Emori is still recovering from radiation exposure. I still have some questions about why Murphy is perfectly fine and Emori is not, but I’m assuming we will explore that in another episode. Hold your breath Memori fans!

Even though Murphy doesn’t really like to be the hero, we can’t ignore his incredible path toward redemption and then some. This cockroach has become someone the others can truly count on and he still remains as one of my absolute favorite characters on the show.

The 100 7 5 The CW 2
Images courtesy of The CW

After Murphy discovers that they are planning to sacrifice a child, he loses his cool and ends up being help captive, as his identity is threatened, but it looks like he has sparked something within the people of Sanctum.

3

“I’ve heard that before…”

Later on, Russell Prime emerges to talk some sense into his people and releases Murphy. He tells his followers to “kneel or die,” but Indra has heard that before, recognizing him as Sheidheda.

Russell (Sheidheda) reminds Indra that she can’t kill him, but I have a feeling that Indra will be the one to destroy him in the end. For her family and for the good of Sanctum. Go Indra!

2

“Your heart is pure.”

The time jumps continue in this episode as we finally start to piece together what happened to Octavia. Octavia is taken away as Diyoza screams for her not to tell them anything. She undergoes these mind trials that look deep into her memories and we see flashes of Lincoln, Clarke, Bellamy, and Pike.

The Disciple administering the tests is named Levitt and he starts to truly admire Octavia. He reminds her that she’s not just a killer and that she is a warrior with a pure heart. I definitely felt some kind of vibe here and Levitt hopes that they can meet again, as he does everything he can to help Octavia and Hope.

We learn that in order for him to send them both through the bridge, memories will be gone and a tattoo with the code is placed on Octavia’s back, filling in some of those gaps from The Anomaly time.

We meet the leader of The Disciples, Anders, (played by Neal McDonough) and he explains that Clarke is the key and they are trying to unlock these secrets through Octavia, but why is Clarke so important?

The 100 7 5 The CW 3
Images courtesy of The CW

I’m dying to find out more about this, but throughout Octavia’s mental journey, it’s clear that her constant has always been Bellamy.

Speaking of Bellamy…

1

“I can’t let you die to save me.”

We finally see Bellamy in this episode as Anders has him brought out to Octavia. Bellamy has been busy eliminating his men and it’s not easy reasoning with him, but Octavia tries to talk him down and tells him to go through the bridge, promising to tell Anders whatever he wants to know about Clarke.

During all of the commotion, there is an explosion and it is implied that Bellamy has been killed. Echo unlocks this memory in present time and is beyond heartbroken and furious, killing off their only lead to finding Diyoza.

So, has Bellamy’s fate just been determined? Did we just kill off the heart of the show?

The 100 7 5 The CW 4
Images courtesy of The CW

I’m thinking no, since we didn’t actually see his body. We’ll have to see how this unfolds, but it looks like this story-line will be put on pause since we are catching up with Clarke and the gang in the next episode.

Perhaps Bellamy was transported from the blast to this other planet? Maybe he can save the day?

The theories are endless, but I am remaining positive that Bellamy Blake is alive and well. Let’s just hope we don’t have to wait too long to confirm his fate.

May we meet again.

Stay tuned!
