Ranking the top 5 moments from “Fear the Walking Dead” season 5 episode 16 Season Finale: “Just Live!”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 16, I realized that our actions may be about the future, but what if we aren’t around to see their impact?  Do they still matter?  Should we still risk it all to do the right thing?  Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.

In last night’s episode, “End of the Line,” the group attempts to find another way around Virginia’s offer, but they run into some trouble.  Meanwhile, Dwight self-reflects, John and June finally tie the knot, and Alicia is back in action.  My top 5 moments from Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 16 season finale are:

5

“I’m not afraid of it anymore.”

Finally!  Our girl, Alicia Clark is back!!!!!  Alicia is back in action and Victor happily hands over her weapon.  There’s no reason why Alicia can’t paint things and kick some walker ass too!

Alicia is confident that they can clear the gulch and sparks are continuing to fly between her and Wes, but will we eventually get to see something beyond lingering stares?  I hope so, but I am thrilled that Alicia is ready to channel the strength within her because we need her!

4

“I am who I am because of you folks.”

Dwight gets his time to shine in this episode, as he tries to convince the group that they can make things work without Virginia.  Dwight does not want to repeat history and he remembers what happened with Negan all too well.  He clearly doesn’t want the same thing to happen to his new friends here.

After the walkers decide to go for a dip to cool off in the river, Dwight ends up surrounded, but Morgan and the others refuse to leave him behind.  I think the character development of Dwight is necessary and important and we will definitely need him in the fight against Virginia later on.

3

“I loved you since the first day you washed up on my shore.”

I don’t know what it is about John and June, but they make me swoon and then some!  These two finally get their special moment, as they tie the knot in front of the group.  The group still has a little bit of time left before Virginia gets there and they try to make the most of it.  I thought June looked absolutely stunning in her green gown and it was incredibly sweet and selfless of Dwight to give them his rings.

2

“I felt something.  I need you to know that.”

John and June aren’t the only ones to get their romantic moment, as Morgan finally tells Grace how he feels.  Grace reciprocates the feeling before they are separated, after confiding in Morgan about why she originally didn’t want him to say anything.

Well, we find out that Grace’s story about her past love interest at the plant does have a point, as she is actually pregnant, rather than sick, which I did not see coming.  I’m happy that Grace is all right, but I’m extremely concerned about the shocking moment that follows…here we go.

1

“Just live!”

So, I’ve been saying for a while that we need a major character death in order to shake things up on this show, but I was not expecting this.  After everyone is separated by Virginia’s people, I was beyond upset.  Side note, the separation of Daniel and Skidmark really made me cry!  But, Virginia decides not to take any chances with Morgan, leaving him for last.

Virginia turns the gun on him and shoots him, leaving him for dead.  It’s clear that Morgan has been threatening Virginia’s vision for the future a little bit too much and she wants to be rid of him once and for all.  We are left seeing Morgan bleeding out, as walkers approach him.  After finding out that Grace is actually pregnant, Morgan seems hopeful still and radios out that “it was about the future” and tells everyone to “just live.”

Well, I’m hoping that Morgan can somehow take his own advice, but it doesn’t look too good for our main character.  That being said, I’m thinking back to TWD when we thought Glenn was originally dead in an impossible situation, so I know that sometimes the impossible is possible in TWD universe, but we will have to wait and see Morgan’s fate.

This was definitely the shocking moment I was looking for, although I don’t want anything to happen to Morgan.  I would love to get some of your theories.  Do you think Morgan is truly dead?  Stay tuned!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own theories and thoughts on Fear the Walking Dead in the comments section below.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” season 9 episode 3: “Every Life Counts”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching AMC’s The Walking Dead season 9 episode 3, I almost felt like I was playing a game of “Clue,” as Rick and the others try to figure out who is responsible for Justin’s death.  Was it Daryl with an arrow in the woods?  Seems too obvious, especially since we know that Daryl is not one for hiding his true intentions.  I’m not sure there is a candlestick lying around, but someone should be able to get to the bottom of this.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.  In last night’s episode, “Warning Signs,” tensions continue to run high between the communities, as everyone learns that former Saviors are being targeted.  Meanwhile, Rick tries to have a nice day off with his family, but quickly learns that the bridge is not the only thing in danger of collapsing, as friendships are tested.  My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 9 episode 3 are:

5

“Thank you for you.”

In the beginning of the episode, Michonne confides in Rick and tells him that “everyone isn’t all in yet,” recognizing that Maggie and Daryl are still angry.  Rick tries to stay positive and tells her that “they’ll get there…just like we did,” but does he really think so?  Richonne has a beautiful moment together, as they spend the day with Judith and Rick once again takes a moment to thank Michonne for everything she has done.  Rick tells Michonne, “I can think of another way to build for the future,” implying that he is ready to have another baby.  After last night’s episode, we know that Rick Grimes has only two more episodes remaining.  I guess this would be a way for the famous Rick Grimes to live on, creating a legacy after he is gone.

4

“Us means all of us.”

Well sure it’s a nice sentiment, but I’m not sure that the communities can continue to sing “Kumbaya” when people are turning up dead or missing.  After discovering that Justin is dead, tensions continue to run high, as everyone begins to point fingers at each other, assigning blame and escalating the situation.  It’s only a matter of time before this turns into a riot, but can Rick continue to keep the peace?  When we see walker Justin headed out to the woods, there is a message written on a house that says, “Final Warning.”  This is not the first time we have seen writing on the wall this season, but our culprits don’t seem ready to step out into the open just yet.

3

“I need to honor them.”

Since we know that Rick’s time is limited, it has given us the opportunity to finally understand what is going through his mind, as he is more inclined to share than he used to be.  Rick talks about not killing Negan, even though he may have initially wanted to, reminding us that “every life counts.”  Rick talks about remembering everyone they have lost before and he feels a need to honor them and to build life, rather than take it.  It’s “us or the dead,” but I’m not sure that everyone else is ready to embrace this outlook on life.  However, I can absolutely appreciate where Rick is coming from, as he desperately tries to keep his future going, holding on to even the smallest glimmer of hope in the middle of all this darkness and chaos.  Will anyone try to continue this vision after Rick is gone?  I’m hoping so, but it seems like the people closest to Rick are not necessarily on board yet.  Will it take Rick’s death for them to finally see it all or will all be lost once he is gone?  We’ll have to stay tuned to find out.

2

“I lied to him for you.”

As things continue to escalate, blame is thrown Anne’s way, but Gabriel lies to Rick and tells him that she was with him all night.  Gabriel desperately wants to see the good in Anne, but he is no fool either.  He follows Anne/Jadis back to the dump and discovers that she is talking to someone over the radio.  Anne had spotted the mysterious helicopter and we know that they have another place to go, but I’m not sure we got too many answers here.  Anne/Jadis tries to ask the man over the radio if he was responsible for taking the people, but is told no.  Anne is informed that she needs to provide him with an “A,” but what really is an “A” or a “B?”  After trying to get Gabriel to go with her willingly, Gabriel says no and explains that he cannot betray Rick and the others.  Jadis decides to take him with her anyway against his will, commenting that she didn’t realize he was an “A.”  So if it is not predetermined, does it have something to do with someone’s moral compass?  If Gabriel just agreed to abandon his friends and go with her, he would be a “B,” a follower.  But since he stood up to her, he is now considered an “A,” a leader?  I’m just guessing here, but I’m looking forward to a further explanation about everything we just witnessed.  The Walking Dead tends to stretch things out as long as they can, but I’m looking for some concrete answers now.

1

“Why do they get this future and Glenn don’t?

As the game of “Clue” continues to escalate, Rick speaks to Daryl and tells him that the wound resembled an arrow wound.  Even though he doesn’t believe that Daryl did this, he still wants to find out the truth.  Daryl asks Rick why the former Saviors get a chance at this future when Glenn, Sasha, and Abraham will never see it.  While Rick is trying to honor everyone who died with his new future, Daryl has a different idea on how to do this.  We eventually learn that some of the Oceanside people, followed by Cyndee, are responsible for Justin’s death.  They are looking to get their own form of justice and Maggie and Daryl carefully listen to both sides.  Maggie and Daryl ultimately decide to walk away as the next former Savior is killed, which now creates a much bigger divide.  It’s one thing to have the communities on edge, but Maggie and Daryl are like family to Rick.  Now that they have chosen a different path, everything is about to change.  Maggie comments that they gave Rick’s way a chance and that they are off to see the Wizard…no wait to see Negan.  I thought I’d throw that in there especially since Rick was reading “The Wizard of Oz” to Judith.  Now that everything has changed, it’s only a matter of time before Rick gets caught in the crossfire.  Stay tuned for Rick’s last two episodes!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own theories and thoughts on The Walking Dead below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Among these characters is Ches, a gorgeous vampire with a conflicted conscience, who becomes Kallie’s guide and blossoming love interest. She also crosses paths with Queen Hartley, a manipulative witch who has the power to strip away one’s memories and imagination, which brings a bone chilling new meaning to “off with their heads.” In The Search for Alice, Kallie starts to realize that her Wonderland is just as frightening as her own reality and that she cannot always run away from her problems. She must figure out a way to defeat Queen Hartley and return home before it is too late, but she soon learns that escaping Wonderland means leaving Ches behind forever.

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Supernatural” season 14 episode 2: “Why be hunted when you can be the Hunter?”

Happy Friday TV fans!  After watching the CW’s Supernatural season 14 episode 2, Castiel reminded us that the past is not as important as the future and where you’re going.  While he has a valid point, it’s difficult to know where you are going when you don’t really understand where you came from.  So do you seek out answers or do you keep moving straight ahead?  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.  In last night’s episode, “Gods and Monsters,” Dean/Michael leaves a trail of corpses in Duluth to lure Sam in.  Meanwhile, Jack wants to know more about where he comes from, Castiel cannot comprehend a world without Dean, and Nick’s human memories torment him.  My top 5 moments from Supernatural season 14 episode 2 are:

5

“Maybe these people aren’t people.”

During the episode, Sam, Mary, and other realm Bobby dust off their FBI suits and head off to Duluth to investigate the string of murders they have read about.  Other realm Bobby needs to work on his FBI lingo, but it seems like they are blending in well enough for now.  They soon discover that Dean/Michael has actually been killing vampires and track down a female vampire who somehow escaped for more information.  She tells them that it’s like Dean/Michael was experimenting on them, but why?  Later on, Dean/Michael lures in a werewolf and requests an audience with her master, interested in their way of life.  Dean/Michael is fascinated that they “kill to live” and further explains that there is “a purity in that.”  He offers the werewolves the opportunity to “enhance their talents,” but what does this entail exactly?  Is Michael trying to create a whole new breed of supernatural monsters to take over the world?  What else is he after?

4

“I own you so hang on and enjoy the ride.”

Michael seems to be enjoying walking around as Dean Winchester and he has really updated Dean’s wardrobe.  First the newsboy cap and now a polished tux, which really makes Dean look even more charming…if that were at all possible.  When Michael checks out his attire in the mirror, Dean tries to fight back within his reflection, but Michael reminds him that he owns him.  At least Dean is not sitting by quietly in the passenger seat while Michael takes the wheel.

3

“All I can see is the supreme agent of evil.”

When Sam takes off for Duluth, he asks Castiel to stay behind so that Michael cannot detect him.  Castiel agrees, but realizes that he will pretty much be “babysitting” Jack and Nick.  Sam explains that it’s not babysitting, but Castiel hilariously points out, “Only in the sense that they are not infants.”  Jack has lost his grace and Nick is a complete mess, but Sam thinks that Nick deserves a real chance.  When Castiel speaks with Nick, Nick wants answers about why he allowed Lucifer to occupy his body.  Castiel explains that “you were in a lot of pain and Lucifer exploited it.”  He further reminds Nick that he tragically lost his family, who were brutally murdered, and Lucifer took full advantage of Nick’s grief in this moment.  All of the horrible memories start to come crashing back and they seem to be too much for Nick to handle.  Nick has a few moments where it almost seems like he is not in control of his body so it makes me wonder if any part of Lucifer stayed behind?  Nick later tells Castiel that he is no different than Lucifer, but Castiel takes a real moment to tell him that he regrets what he did to Jimmy Novak and his family.  Castiel has developed so much over the years and truly understands what it means to have regrets and guilt.  Later on, Nick tries to track down leads about the killing of his family and ends up taking a hammer to an eye witness, violently killing him.  Nick is out of control and has taken things to the next level.  Is he acting out on his own or has Lucifer permanently destroyed any goodness within him?

2

“I hope someday to have a little of her courage and purpose.”

While “babysitting,” Castiel has better luck with Jack, who is still feeling lost and out of place without his grace.  His research tells us that his grace can come back within a month or within a century, which means that it might be quite a while for him.  Castiel explains that he understands what Jack is going through and further tells him that Sam and Dean spent years and years of failing and winning, which allowed them to develop over the years into the hunters they have now become.  He tells Jack that patience and persistence are skills too and reminds him that the past is not as important as the future.  Jack still has a desire to find out where he comes from and visits his grandparents.  Kelly’s parents have no idea that she is dead and Jack doesn’t have the heart to tell them.  They think that Jack was a former intern of Kelly’s, but they are so happy to share some memories with him and even take out an old photo album for him to see.  In a touching moment, Jack shares that Kelly did have the baby and that she “made him feel safe and wanted.”  His grandparents even comment that Jack kind of looks like their daughter and they ask him to please tell her how much they love and miss her.  This moment was truly important for Jack because there is so much of his mother’s goodness within him.  He recognizes that his path will not be an easy one, but he is hoping to make his mother proud and I think that he is absolutely taking a step in the right direction.

1

“Sammy…it’s me.”

After watching Supernatural for so many years, it’s become routine for Sam or Dean to wind up somewhere else at the end of a season, only to then safely return by episode 2 or 3 of the following one.  Season 14 is no different, as Dean returns to Sam without Michael at the end of the episode.  Dean explains that he just left, but Sam asks why and he has a point.  Michael has been making a lot of progress using Dean as his vessel, so why would he choose to abandon him now?  We know that he has spoken with the werewolf leader and has pretty much dominated the vampires, so what has changed?  When Sam, Mary, and other realm Bobby try to fight off the monsters, they realize that traditional methods for killing them are not working.  Has Michael already created his new breed of monsters?  If so, why abandon Dean now?  Michael is extremely intelligent and he seems to plan out every move with calculated precision.  Is this a part of his plan?  We’ll have to wait to find out, but I’m happy to have Dean back safe and sound for now.  Stay tuned!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Supernatural in the comments section below.  Happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Ash vs Evil Dead” season 3 episode 10 Series Finale: “The Mettle of Man”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching Starz’s Ash vs Evil Dead season 3 episode 10 series finale last night, there is something bitter sweet about the end of one the most brilliant and entertaining shows on television.  While the series may be over, the many adventures of Ash, Kelly, Pablo, and Brandy will always remain “groovy” for us fans.  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet.  In last night’s episode, “The Mettle of Man,” Ash has doubts about accepting his destiny, but receives a motivational speech from his loving daughter, Brandy.  Meanwhile, Pablo goes into the rift to save Kelly and the military arrives, as evil spreads all over the world.  My top 5 moments from the Ash vs Evil Dead season 3 episode 10 series finale are:

5

“You taught me to believe in you and I do.”

In the beginning of the episode, we learn that Kandar the Destroyer has been unleashed on the world to test the “Mettle of Man.”  While Pablo tries to explain that “it’s the final test Jefe,” Ash is having some doubts about his role in all of this.  Brandy refuses to let Ash take a seat on the sidelines and I have to say that Brandy has transformed into quite the bad-ass at the end of the series, refusing to let anyone get in her way.  After all, she is a Williams, just like Ash.  Brandy motivates Ash and tells him, “I don’t know much about this evil dead crap…you’re the savior of humanity so get on your damn feet and own up to who you are.  You taught me to believe in you and I do so please don’t let me down now.”  Even though we have witnessed Brandy kicking some serious deadite ass, this speech to Ash is what truly makes her stand out and is the inspiration that Ash needs to go after Kandar.  Well right after he gets “baked” of course.  In a heart-warming gesture, Ash gives Brandy the necklace he has been carrying around with him since the beginning, passing on his legacy to her, which is beautiful and genuine.  While Brandy tells him that they are in this together, Ash intends on protecting her no matter what.  It looks like Ash finally got the hang of this fatherhood thing after all.

4

Pablo goes through the rift to save Kelly.

Pablo is still being shielded from evil, as they think he is one of them because he is “El Brujo Especial.”  Ash is amused by this and comments that he is just like Kane the wrestler.  Pablo realizes that since the rift is open, he can go in himself and be alright because of his new abilities.  Ash trusts him and Pablo takes the plunge.  He quickly jumps out, but is heartbroken when Kelly doesn’t wake up.  After a few nail-biting moments, Kelly wakes up and Pablo kisses her passionately, causing fans everywhere to cheer.  It’s about time you two!  Kelly keeps her sense of humor alive when she sees her reflection and says, “I look like Keith Richards.”  Whether she is ghostly pale or not, Kelly still looks fabulous and is ready to unleash her fury on the deadites.  Welcome back to the land of the living Kelly!

3

“I’m not running from this one.”

After the Ghost Beaters begin fighting off evil with the military, they jump in a van to get to safety.  Ash comes to the realization that this is the moment where he needs to say goodbye and go at it alone.  He tells Kelly to be the leader now and says, “Pablo, you’re the Jefe now.”  Brandy is begging him not to leave her but he reminds her, “Brandy, I’m doing this for you.”  Ash finally accepts his destiny as “The Savior” and turns to face Kandar, leaving his friends and family behind to protect them.

2

“Ok big boy.  Ashley J. Williams is coming for you!”

Ash quickly makes the decision to jump in one of the military tanks to take on Kandar and comments, “Just like Battle Zone the arcade game.”  After all, how hard could it be to operate a tank?  Ash gets creative with his attack and is locked and loaded with the Kandarian Dagger, using duct tape for good measure.  While I’m not sure this could ever work, we cheer on Ash just the same, hoping that he will be able to take down evil and make it back to his friends.  Ash fires away and takes Kandar down, but not before he lands on top of the tank with Ash still inside.

1

“It’s all gone…”

After the tank is crushed, Ash is dragged away and we see the blurred image of a Knights of Sumeria ring.  Ash is put into some type of chamber and wakes up with white sprinkled through his hair and an upgraded hand, suggesting that he has been asleep for quite some time and is now in a futuristic world.  Ash is greeted by some type of female android who refers to him as “The Savior” and tells him they need to get moving.  After revealing Ash’s beloved car with some upgrades of its own, he begins asking about where Brandy is.  The android explains that she’ll explain on the way and when she asks Ash how he feels, he gives fans a response we can all be satisfied with when he simply says, “Groovy.”  While there are still a lot of questions unanswered about what happened to the world and how far into the future they are, one thing is for certain.  Ash is still alive and kicking and is ready to take on evil once again.  After all, Ash is a “Ghost Beater for life” and so are we.  While the series ends open enough to perhaps take on another movie one day, fans can take comfort in knowing that Ash is still fighting the good fight with his humor intact.

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own theories and thoughts on Ash vs Evil Dead in the comments section below.  Happy viewing!
