Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper on The CW’s Riverdale.
For two weeks in a row, Betty Cooper has been on fire! She’s strong, fearless, and a bad-ass girl you do not want to mess with! Even if you’re family, you are not off limits, as Betty has no problem putting you in your place if you deserve it.
There are so many characters on this show and I enjoy the dynamic between all of them, but there just has to be something said for the talent of Lili Reinhart. She’s in a league of her own and she always steals the show.
It’s interesting how I was more excited for the premiere of the Nancy Drew series and yet I found Nancy’s character needing to channel some more Betty Cooper to truly come alive because Betty has set the bar so high for female amateur sleuths.
She’s not afraid to challenge authority and even the adults listen to her because she’s usually right…about everything!
Please note some spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up on the series.
In season 4 episode 4, we get a fun and spooky Halloween episode and Betty decides to dress up as Laurie Strode, the original scream queen herself. Betty absolutely has Final Girl potential and she continues to get even stronger when more threats come her way.
That being said, Betty is so strong individually, but there is this wonderful and supportive quality to Bughead (Betty and Jughead together). With the new mystery unfolding, it doesn’t look good for Jughead’s fate, but how will that impact Betty?
We have seen her deal with the reveal of the Black Hood and her mom’s drama with the Farm, but Jughead has always been Betty’s rock. I’m slightly worried that she may completely lose it and resort back to dark season 2 Betty, but let’s hope that she can continue to stay strong.
What’s next for Betty? We’ll have to wait and see, but it looks like we could be revisiting her dark past. Betty may have this “serial killer darkness” within her because her father was the Black Hood, but I feel like she can tap into it to get an edge over everyone else, but let’s hope it doesn’t consume her completely.
When a mystery emerges in town, I’m always looking for my girl Betty to solve it and I hope that she can figure out a way to somehow save Jughead since we know that this show has presented us with a lot of twists and surprises before. Either way, I’m always going to root for Betty and I can’t wait to see what she does next!
Stay tuned for a recognized performance on TV each week!

Happy Halloween TV fans! During the CW’s Riverdale season 4 episode 4, our characters are threatened on Halloween night, bringing real terrors to life.
Is it just a test or a warning? Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.
In last night’s episode, “Chapter Sixty-One: Halloween,” Betty rocks it as Laurie Strode, but her prank caller decides to channel another horror movie. Meanwhile, Mr. Honey shows what he is capable of, Choni has a séance, and Veronica ends up in a life threatening situation. My top 5 moments from Riverdale season 4 episode 4 are:
5
“It’s literally six hours of our house…”
Well, we don’t have to wait that long to find out what’s on the mysterious VHS tape delivered. Everyone watches it together and finds out that it’s just footage of their house from the street. Everyone in town begins to receive a similar tape. There is no note left and we don’t really understand what’s going on here, but everyone in Riverdale is being watched. I’m intrigued!
4
“The Family Man.”
Everyone seems to be having their own spooky adventure during this Halloween themed episode, which was actually a lot of fun! Veronica is about to close up Pop’s, but a man comes in and asks her for a home cooked meal, revealing that he just wants to get home to his family.
He seems like a nice enough guy, but Veronica later sees a news report revealing that he is a serial killer nicknamed “The Family Man” and he enjoys getting a home cooked meal right before he kills his victim.
Our girl V doesn’t waste any time, as she is able to escape down to her club downstairs. Luckily, V is aware of her surroundings and she ends up lighting The Family Man on fire before getting out of there. Go V!
It’s definitely interesting that there are several mentions of Shady Grove during this episode, which is the asylum he escaped from. Could another serial killer be pulling the strings from inside?
3
“Who or what are the Stonewall 4?”
Well Jughead, apparently they are a group of students from Stonewall Prep who have mysteriously vanished over the years. Even though it’s said to be an urban legend, I think that Jughead is really about to become the fifth member of this group, especially since we know that he goes missing during spring break in the future.
Jughead decides to do some research of his own, but his plans get put on hold when his fellow students decide to lock him in a box as some kind of twisted initiation because you know…being buried alive is totally harmless.
Luckily, Jughead is released in the morning and is all right, but it absolutely makes me suspicious of pretty much everyone at Stonewall Prep.
2
“This is so messed up.”
Poor Toni! Toni tells Cheryl that it’s time to say goodbye to Jason and Cheryl agrees to bury him again, but reminds Toni that he is not going to be happy about it. After Jason’s body is gone, this really creepy doll begins to show up.
Cheryl thinks that perhaps it is Jason, but Nana Rose fills us in on Cheryl and Jason’s triplet brother, Julian, who died in the womb after Cheryl absorbed him. Cheryl thinks that they should all have a séance and even Nana Rose participates.
Cheryl admits to pretending, but when Toni agrees to let Jason return, the doll comes back as well and Cheryl swears she has nothing to do with it.
This was really disturbing, but also a lot of fun and it gave Choni some quality screen time. While we certainly enjoyed seeing them in their costumes, I thought that the spooky moments with Nana Rose were actually really entertaining. I’d love to see more of these three and I have a feeling that Julian is not going anywhere just yet…
1
“Who is this?”
Betty is ready to give out candy and watch some scary movies with Jughead, but she begins to worry when he doesn’t show up. I absolutely loved Betty’s costume as Laurie Strode, but her prank caller decides to channel When a Stranger Calls instead. The caller claims to be the Black Hood, but we know that Betty’s dad is dead…
Charles shows up and agrees to help Betty trace the call since it’s obviously not coming from inside the house. He tells her that it is coming from Shady Grove, which is where Polly is staying, but is she really the one behind the call?
After Betty puts her in her place on the phone, it seems like everything is back to normal. She recaps her night with Jughead, but now Charles is listening in on their call. There’s something definitely not right with Charles, but what is his end game here?
Also, we get another sneak peek into the future and see FP and Betty identifying Jughead’s body. The face is partially revealed and it definitely looks like Jughead’s fate is sealed, but we will have to wait and see how this unfolds.
Overall, I thought this was a fun and spooky Halloween episode. It really channeled a lot of old horror movies and presented us with some genuinely scary moments. Plus, we got to see Archie and Mad Dog in those hilarious costumes courtesy of Katy Keene. Way to sneak that in guys and I’m not sure that the vigilante should wear tights, Archie! Stay tuned!

Happy Wednesday TV fans! After watching the CW’s Riverdale season 4 episode 3, I realized that change is not necessarily a bad thing. But what happens when new threats emerge because of this change? Is it truly possible to earn a clean slate with so many buried secrets? Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.
In last night’s episode, “Chapter Sixty: Dog Day Afternoon,” Jughead adjusts to life at Stonewall Prep, but a new rival doesn’t make it easy for him. Meanwhile, Edgar calls Betty, but she’s ready for the final showdown. My top 5 moments from Riverdaleseason 4 episode 3 are:
5
“I’ll take those odds.”
In this episode, Archie decides that he wants to turn the gym into a community center where kids can go, especially after Munroe’s (Mad Dog) little brother gets caught up with a gang down at the arcade. I feel like they could have picked a more threatening spot, but I’ll go with it for now. Veronica is willing to lend Archie the money he needs, but Archie wants to do things his way.
We get an enthusiastic car wash from the boys, but it doesn’t earn enough money. After Archie tries out being a vigilante, he ends up taking the money from the drug dealers down at the arcade, but it’s not like they can use that either.
Archie’s mother wants him to get out of Riverdale, but Veronica reminds her that she is willing to invest in her son, explaining that he can do so much good in town and I think she’s right. The community center is open and it looks like Mrs. Andrews will be sticking around for a while after all.
4
“You will do as you’re told. Nothing more. Nothing less.”
Even though we get a brief intimate moment between Choni, Cheryl continues to have her chats with dead Jason, which just gets creepier and creepier. After Nana Rose starts to have some trouble with reality as well, Toni decides to hire a night nurse, Darius. Cheryl channels her best impression of Beauty and the Beast by telling him that he is forbidden from entering certain areas of the estate, desperate to keep Jason a secret.
Cheryl thinks that someone moved Jason and decides to fire Darius after she discovers that he was in the basement, claiming he heard rats. It looks like Darius was on to something, as Cheryl finds one of the rats inside Jason’s stomach, which instantly made my skin crawl.
The cat, or the rat, is out of the bag, as Toni finally stumbles upon Jason. Cheryl actually handles this surprisingly well, asking if Toni has ever met Jason before.
Will Toni be able to bring Cheryl back to reality? Let’s hope so!
3
“Blood doesn’t wash out…”
Hiram somehow finds out that Veronica is thinking of changing her name and decides to pay her a visit. He may be in jail, but he owns that jail, which apparently means he can come and go whenever he pleases? I’ll leave that one alone, but Hiram decides to tell Veronica the story about how he created the Hiram Lodge name, explaining that his name used to be Luna.
Hiram tells Veronica that changing her name will not wash out her past sins, but Veronica decides to go through with it anyway. Only she won’t be changing her name to Veronica Gomez, she will now be known as Veronica Luna, which clearly infuriates her father.
Will Veronica Luna be able to start fresh or will her Lodge past continue to get in her way?
2
“You need to buy us time!”
After Charles sends in an undercover agent to deliver pizza at the Farm, things go horribly wrong and Edgar decides to get on the phone. Only he seems to be more interested in calling Betty directly with his list of demands.
Under Charles’s instruction, Betty asks Edgar to release some hostages and poor Polly shows up with a bomb. Edgar has removed the pin on the dead man’s switch and the timer is counting down pretty quickly, but Betty’s bobby pin comes to the rescue, as she saves the day. Go Betty!
Betty decides to get Edgar his list of demands since she knows people and shows up at his front door, ready to end this once and for all, but she is clearly outnumbered and is knocked unconscious before anything too major can happen.
1
“Edgar ascended…”
When Betty wakes up, she is held hostage with Alice in a motel room. So good to see you Alice! We get an impressive mother-daughter tag team, as these Cooper ladies show us what they are made of. Betty works on trying to get the innocent Farmies on the bus, while her mother goes after Edgar.
Apparently Edgar wants to get on his recently built rocket, but Alice has other plans for him. After a gunshot is heard, Betty panics, but Alice is able to eliminate Edgar once and for all. At least I think so. You never know on Riverdale! It looks like this Farm cult story has wrapped itself up neatly, but I’m slightly confused on Edgar’s behavior in this episode.
Part of what made Edgar so intriguing was that he kept his cool and used manipulation to get what he wanted, but he almost seemed like a loose cannon in this episode. I’m not sure if there are some holes in that plot or if the writers were just done with his story, but I was slightly disappointed with this outcome.
Either way, I’m glad to see that both Betty and Alice are all right. So I guess it’s on to the next mystery, as Betty and Jughead get some kind of tape delivered to them at their doorstep. Is this a warning or a threat? I’m not sure, but we’ll have to see how this all links to Jughead’s future disappearance. Stay tuned!

Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones on The CW’s Riverdale season 4.There’s just something about Bughead that makes your heart skip a beat.
While both Bughead and Varchie had some passionate and fiery moments in season 4 episode 2, Bughead takes the crown for me because they have a bond that transcends all of that, understanding what it truly means to give up everything to do what is best for your partner. Please note some spoilers are ahead if you are not up-to-date on the series.
In a lot of ways, Betty and Jughead are ahead of their time. There is a maturity and friendship to their relationship and they really make you think past the temporary moments of passion. Sure, we love seeing these swoon-worthy parts, but I really enjoy witnessing Betty and Jughead’s selfless moments together even more.
They won’t have an easy year ahead of them, but Betty understands Jughead’s talent and potential and she reminds him that they can get through anything together, which was really inspiring and heartwarming to hear.
Betty and Jughead aren’t perfect by any means. In fact, I think that both of them have kept their fair share of secrets, but season 4 is really allowing them to flourish. In a lot of ways, they have moved past their prior mistakes and now they are truly grateful for one another, understanding what really matters in the end…being together.
There doesn’t need to be some epic moment between them because of all of their small moments together make them stand out that much more. They resemble a real and stable relationship and while I am worried about their future fate now that they will be separated, I have faith in these two no matter what.
Betty and Jughead are both strong characters individually and when they are together, they compliment each other so well and I love seeing them team up for mysteries.
My favorite moment of the episode was during English class when Betty pulled Jughead out in the hallway to tell him to go to Stonewall, reminding him that they are always together. Betty wants what is best for Jughead and I know that he would do the same for her.
What’s next for Bughead? We’ll have to wait and see, but I am anxious to find out more about Jughead’s disappearance in the future. Betty is my go to girl to solve the case, so I know that she will not stop until she finds him, but I am starting to wonder more about what led them to this separate path.
Long distance relationships are never easy, but I know that Betty and Jughead will do everything in their power to stay together. The King and Queen of the Serpents deserve every bit of happiness, but I have a feeling that someone might try and get in their way. These two are stronger together, but I am not underestimating either of them and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
I’m always rooting for these two and I would love to see some more screen time for both of them, especially since we know that they will really need to work at putting in some quality time together.
What are YOUR thoughts on Bughead? A dynamic duo or on the outs?
Stay tuned for a recognized Ship on TV each week!

Happy Thursday TV fans! After watching the CW’s Riverdale season 4 episode 2, I realized that life certainly goes by fast, so we should stop to truly savor it. Sometimes it may be time for a fresh start, but are we really able to leave our past in the rear view mirror? Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.
In last night’s episode, “Chapter Fifty-Nine: Fast Times at Riverdale High,” Jughead receives an offer that could change his life forever. Meanwhile, a new principal is making waves, but Cheryl is not going to let anyone stand in her way. My top 5 moments from the Riverdale season 4 episode 2 are:
5
“I stand only with and for myself.”
In this episode, Veronica has a lot of drama thrown her way, especially when the paparazzi want a statement regarding where she stands in terms of her mother and father. Veronica does her best to avoid them, but when a story is leaked about her own actions, she decides to pay her father a visit. Hiram reminds his daughter that she’s a “Lodge through and through,” but Veronica decides to make a statement with flair.
She puts on a show-stopping number of “All that Jazz” and explains that she is not supporting either one of her parents. It looks like Veronica is ready to embrace her own fresh start, as she decides to legally change her name to Veronica Gomez, ready to strip away the Lodge family name. Will she truly be able to leave her family drama behind though?
4
“Bros for life.”
Reggie gets some well deserved screen time during the episode, as we dive more into his relationship with his father. After several mentions of this in season 3, everything is now out in the open about Reggie’s dad abusing him. Archie refuses to stand by and say nothing, and he and Reggie bond when Reggie decides to finally stand up for himself, damaging his father’s precious car in the process.
It seems like everything is getting better for now and Archie and Reggie claim to be “bros for life,” but I have a feeling that Reggie’s dad will not go away quietly. Either way, I thought this was an important moment for both of them, bonding over the concept of family, especially when Archie just lost his own father.
In a lot of ways, Archie reminded me of Fred here, always trying to do what is right to help someone in need. Your dad would be proud of you, Archie!
3
“Your name may be Honey, but I will always be the Queen Bee!”
Cheryl is still keeping dead Jason a secret, but decides to focus her full attention on the Back To School Dance. Only the new principal, Mr. Honey, has decided to cancel it. Mr. Honey is played by the amazing Kerr Smith (Charmed, Dawson’s Creek, Final Destination) and I have to say that he is really making some waves at school. Is he the new villain in town? Will he and Chad Michael Murray have a showdown to see who is the ultimate 90’s teen icon?
We’ll have to wait and see what his plans are, but it’s clear that Cheryl is not going down without a fight. After Mr. Honey calls the cops to break up her party, Cheryl decides to kick things up a notch, leaving an actual beehive on Mr. Honey’s desk. Something tells me that this is only the beginning of a feud between these two, but Mr. Honey better watch his back!
2
“I believe in you.”
Betty and Charles continue to work together to find out where Edgar is so they can get Alice out of there safely. Kevin tries to make amends with Betty and he seems sincere, but Charles thinks that Kevin may still be working with the Farm. After Kevin confides in Betty about just wanting to stay connected to Fangs, Betty tells him about her mother being undercover at the farm.
Is this the right move though? Betty is typically smarter than this and she has just risked exposing her mother, but she tries to tell Charles that Kevin is on their side. Toward the end of the episode, Kevin learns that Edgar has a lot of weapons, but what is he planning on doing next? Is he looking to go to war? Let’s hope that Alice will be OK!
1
“It’s the chance of a lifetime.”
During the episode, we get some hot and steamy moments for both Varchie and Bughead, but Betty really proves just how supportive she can be when she encourages Jughead to go to Stonewall Prep. We are introduced to another new character, Mr. Chipping, who sees a lot of potential in Jughead’s writing.
At first, Jughead just wants to finish out his senior year with his friends, but Betty reminds him that he should take this opportunity and promises that they can make it work no matter what.
Betty is so incredibly supportive here and I have to say that this was an important moment for Bughead. It seems like it is going to be the start of a good year, but we do flash-forward to spring break. Everyone is looking through the woods for Jughead and so the mystery begins. Stay tuned!

“Mysteries were everywhere and I loved solving them.”
Your favorite amateur sleuth is getting her own show, but it seems like this Nancy Drew is darker and more mature, but can she measure up to the competition? The series premiere of Nancy Drew aired on the CW on October 9th 2019. The show will run weekly episodes and it comes on directly after Riverdale. Know your audience, right?
The show stars Kennedy McMann, Tunji Kasim, Leah Lewis, and Scott Wolf. Nancy Drew makes reference to how she started solving mysteries at a young age, paying tribute to the book series character we all know and love. However, after tragically losing her mother, Nancy Drew is all grown up and it seems like she wants to stay away from mysteries and ghosts, but it doesn’t look like they are ready to let her go just yet.
Nancy Drew has a lot of competition, especially since other shows like Riverdale, Veronica Mars, and Stranger Things all have a captivating female lead who likes to solve mysteries, but where does that leave the girl who started it all? Let’s find out…
The Pros:
Images courtesy of The CW
True respect for the original character.
Nancy Drew was the first book series I fell in love with and I lost myself in the mysteries again and again. I have seen several movie interpretations and I appreciate that this show is trying to do something different, but I also respected the clever Easter eggs thrown into the mix, including our girl Nancy investigating with the infamous flashlight.
Some potential for the new Scoobies.
I am still sorting out who is who and I’m not sure how I feel about Nancy’s friends just yet, but I like that they all want to help out. I always loved “The Scoobies” on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, reminding us that you don’t have to be the obvious hero to make a difference and save the day, so I think this could be the start of something really fun and nostalgic.
The supernatural horror elements are genuinely scary!
If you know anything about Nancy Drew, you know that even though you get your fair share of ghostly mysteries, there is always some kind of rational explanation to bring us back to the real world. Even this Nancy reminds us in the beginning of the show that she doesn’t believe in ghosts and yet there is this very real ghost story going on, which has captured my full attention.
I expected this show to be more focused on teenage drama with mystery sprinkled in, but I was genuinely surprised by the supernatural horror aspect and I think this might be something that can help Nancy Drew create a voice of its own separate from Riverdale. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comes to mind, but so far they are doing much better with that deliciously dark component, but that doesn’t mean that Nancy Drew can’t step up to the plate too. More horror please!
The Cons:
Images courtesy of The CW
I can’t get a real read on Nancy yet.
Part of the reason why I like characters like Betty Cooper, Veronica Mars, and Nancy Wheeler is that they channel Nancy Drew while having this magnetic spark that really draws you in to their character. I’m missing something with Nancy Drew so far and while I get that she is dealing with her grief and seems closed off, I haven’t connected with her at all yet and that could be a problem. I’m only one episode in so I hope to get some more layers soon, but I want to ignite a fire within Nancy as soon as possible.
Forcing a ship.
Part of the way I fall in love with a ship, is that I see the progression of their relationship that leads to some epic moment between them that cannot be ignored. We dive into this relationship between Nancy and Nick (Ned Nickerson) and I just don’t feel the chemistry yet. I want to see some real moments between them leading up to something, rather than these bits and pieces that are being forced upon me.
The actual mystery is just kind of blah…
A dead body shows up and Nancy Drew is on the case, but there is nothing really unique or special about the murder and Nancy’s process to discover the clues seems very by the numbers and uninspiring. That being said, the mystery surrounding this ghost story and her parents might be the real winner, but I still want Nancy to surprise me and invest me in her other mysteries. Maybe she should call Betty Cooper up for some advice on this…
So am I in or out?
Images courtesy of The CW
As of right now, it’s about 50/50 for me. The show isn’t necessarily bad, but there’s nothing that magnetic or special about it just yet. I feel like right now it is in the shadow of its competition and it needs to do something spectacular to pave its own way. Maybe that’s the horror element I mentioned earlier, which has a lot of chilling potential.
I plan on giving the show another two episodes to really get a feel for it, but I’m hoping for some kind of a spark here. Out of every new Fall show premiering, this is the show I was really looking forward to and perhaps I set my expectations too high, but I’m keeping an open mind for now.
I hope you enjoyed the review and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Nancy Drew in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Happy Wednesday TV fans! After watching the CW’s Riverdale season 4 episode 1 season premiere, I am in tears. In fact, I was in tears throughout the entire episode, but I remembered that no one is every truly gone if we continue to honor them in what we do next. Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.
In tonight’s episode, “Chapter Fifty-Eight: In Memoriam,” the gang gets ready for the 4th of July and everything seems to be really quiet in town…until Archie receives a phone call that will alter his life forever. My top 5 moments from the Riverdale season 4 episode 1 season premiere are:
5
“I have to bring him home…”
In the beginning of the episode, Archie receives a phone call while he is at Pop’s and discovers that his father has been killed in a hit and run. Archie is beyond devastated and shocked and so are his friends and mother. Even his dog whimpers quietly by the door, which immediately broke my heart. Archie decides that he wants to bring his father’s body home and his friends agree to help him along the way.
The sudden passing of Luke Perry toward the end of season 3 shook everyone, but the show did not truly get a chance to give him a proper goodbye before. While I knew that something like this was coming, I was not prepared for this incredibly emotional and heartbreaking episode.
Even though it was extremely difficult to watch and hit very close to home for me, it was something that Fred Andrews earned and something that Luke Perry deserved even more, reminding us just how many lives he has truly touched and how much he is missed every single day.
4
“I’m just paying my respects.”
It truly meant the world to me to see Shannen Doherty guest star on this particular episode to pay tribute to her good friend, Luke Perry. I grew up watching her and Luke Perry on Beverly Hills, 90210 and both of them made a huge impact on my life.
When I recently watched the BH90210reboot, the tasteful tribute for Luke Perry was done perfectly and I thought it was so appropriate for us to see Luke Perry’s journey come full circle here.
Doherty plays the woman that Fred saved on the road and while she doesn’t have a huge part, her presence was so powerful. Seeing her standing next to Archie and the others truly allowed Luke’s memory to live on, seeing where he started and where he ended up, living on in every role he played.
3
“Whenever he looked at you, there was pride in his eyes.”
After discovering the identity of the man who killed his father, Archie decides to track him down to take justice into his own hands. When Archie realizes that the man is innocent and is merely trying to protect his young son who made a mistake, Archie realizes how he could have been in this very same situation with his own father.
Archie feels ashamed and thinks he let his father down, but Veronica has a supporting and meaningful moment with him, telling him how proud his father truly was of him. Sometimes Varchie can be over-dramatic, but I thought this was such a simple and perfect moment for them and I’m hoping Veronica can help him get through this because he is going to need her.
2
“We will never forget you Fred.”
After Cheryl initially feels some type of way about a parade on 4th of July, she has an immediate change of heart when she finds out what happened to Fred. Cheryl and Toni go to see Mrs. Andrews and Cheryl explains that she knows what it feels like and she wants to do something for their family.
When Archie brings his father home, the entire town is waiting and there are signs showing their love and admiration of Fred, which was incredibly heartwarming to see. Even though this town has had its fair share of tragedy and misfortune, everyone comes together now to honor a man who always just tried to do his best and help others.
1
“Fred Andrews will alwaysbe a part of Riverdale…I’m going to honor him.”
I thought that Archie’s eulogy was beautiful and simple, but he talked about how his father helped build this town and it’s clear that Fred made an impact on everyone in it…even Hiram Lodge, who ends up doing the right thing by paying for all of the costs.
Archie says that his father was the greatest man he’s ever known and hopes that his spirit and memory will live on. At the end of the episode, each character has a moment to self-reflect and mourn and we end with Archie going into the garage. We actually see some past clips of Fred; right before the camera zooms out, leaving us with the photograph of Fred and Archie together.
This was probably the most incredible episode I have watched of the series. Yes, it took a break from the drama and the mystery we have come to know and love, but it truly dedicated itself to a character and an actor who was so inspiring. I feel incredibly honored to have witnessed a true tribute that was so beautiful and well done.
Thank you, Riverdale for providing Fred and Luke with this tribute.
Fred Andrews will always be a part of Riverdale and Luke Perry will always be in our hearts.
I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Riverdale in the comments section below. Thank you so much for reading and happy viewing!

Greetings TV Fans! As we enter into the Fall season, some of our favorite shows will be returning with new episodes and we can also look forward to some brand new shows as well that seem to have a lot of potential. Looking to find out when they all start and where to watch them? You came to the right place!
While some of our favorite returning shows already have 2019 premiere dates announced, others are still giving out a late 2019/early 2020 vague response, but it looks like we have plenty of shows to watch in the meantime! Without any further delay, the 2019 Fall TV premieres I am most looking forward to are:
American Horror Story: 1984 (Season 9)
Premiere date: Wednesday, September 18th 2019
Where to watch: FX Network
Welcome to Camp Redwood! Who doesn’t love the 80’s? The ninth season of AHS looks like it is going to provide us with a lot of slasher fun and nostalgia. While Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will not be on the newest season (sigh), we do have some fan-favorites returning, including the wonderful and brilliant Emma Roberts.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Season 14)

Premiere date: Wednesday, September 25th 2019
Where to watch: FXX Network
I mean, who doesn’t love laughing along with our friends from Paddy’s Pub? The gang is back and I can’t wait to see what schemes they come up with next. After Mac’s moving dance performance, anything is possible! Perhaps another Charlie Kelly episode? There is plenty of Charlie work to go around after all.
Evil (New Series)
Premiere date: Thursday, September 26th 2019
Where to watch: CBS
I don’t know about you, but I am definitely down to watch another show with Luke Cage’s Mike Colter, but it looks like he will be trading in his super hero strength in order to investigate demonic possessions and other supernatural threats. I’m in!
Light as a Feather (Season 2, Part 2, episodes 9-16)
Premiere date: Friday, October 4th 2019
Where to watch: Hulu
Light as a feather…stiff as a board. I never get tired of hearing that and I’m hoping that the second half of season 2 can bounce back and provide us with some spooky haunting fun. This show is extremely addicting and there are constantly new twists and turns so I personally can’t wait!
The Walking Dead (Season 10)
Premiere date: Sunday, October 6th 2019
Where to watch: AMC
It’s time to silence the Whisperers once and for all, but what threats will emerge next? As we approach season 10, we know that this will be Michonne’s last season, but what does that mean for her character? I can’t wait to find out!
Riverdale (Season 4)
Premiere date: Wednesday, October 9th 2019
Where to watch: The CW
After that cliffhanger ending in season 3, it looks like we will have a new mystery to dive into for season 4, which centers around one of our main characters. What secrets will emerge next? Stay tuned!
Nancy Drew (New Series)
Premiere date: Wednesday, October 9th 2019
Where to watch: The CW
It looks like I will be busy on Wednesday nights indefinitely! Nancy Drew is one of my favorite book series of all time and this new series looks like a dark and grown up version, giving me some Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars feels right off the bat. I’m in 100 percent!
Supernatural (Season 15) *Final Season*

Premiere date: Thursday, October 10th 2019
Where to watch: The CW
How will it all end for the Winchesters? After that cliffhanger ending in season 14, it looks like our favorite hunters have a lot of work to do, but luckily they have some backup in our favorite angel, Castiel. What can we expect for the final season? I’m not sure, but I would love to see some fun nostalgia sprinkled in with some returning guest stars. It will be beyond difficult to say goodbye, but I know that the series will end the way it is intended to and I’m looking forward to watching these final adventures with Sam and Dean.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie
Premiere date: Friday, October 11th 2019
Where to watch: Netflix (to be released at a later date on AMC)
So I initially didn’t think to put this on the list since it is technically a movie, but how can I leave out one of my favorite series of all time?! Jesse Pinkman is back and Breaking Bad fans everywhere can rejoice, as we finally get to find out what happens next in the story!
The Purge (Season 2)
Image courtesy of the USA Network
Premiere date: Tuesday, October 15th 2019
Where to watch: USA Network
What happens on Purge Night doesn’t necessarily stay on Purge Night. I love The Purge movies and when I first heard about the television series last year, I really didn’t go into it with high expectations. Well I was in for a huge surprise, as this show became one of my favorite series of the year. It’s fast paced, surprising, and a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see what happens in season 2 as we follow a brand new group of characters. Are you ready, citizens?
Castle Rock (Season 2)
Premiere date: Wednesday, October 23rd 2019
Where to watch: Hulu
The Stephen King anthology series was another bone-chilling and haunting surprise for me last year and I have been waiting quite some time for a premiere date announcement for season 2. Well it looks like we are in luck, as new episodes will return right before Halloween, which certainly seems fitting. It looks like we will follow a new story and a new group of characters in the mysterious town of Castle Rock, but I am hoping to get some Easter eggs or connections to season one. We shall see!
Shameless (Season 10)
Premiere date: Sunday, November 10th 2019
Where to watch: Showtime
We said goodbye to fan-favorite, Fiona Gallagher for good last season, but can season 10 keep the Gallaghers relevant? Let’s hope so! While I am disappointed that Fiona will no longer be on the show, it looks like we will need to turn our attention to Lip, especially now that he is going to be a father. The laughs never fail on one of my favorite series of all time and I can’t wait to see what the Gallagher family does next!
I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to comment on any TV Premieres that YOU are looking forward to watching in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom on Riverdale. I have been waiting for Cheryl to snap out of this cult obsessed trance for a while now and it finally happened, revealing the Cheryl “Bombshell” that we all know and adore. Please note some spoilers are ahead. In the season 3 finale, Cheryl finally realizes that everything is now up to her. She needs to save her friends from the Farm while also trying to help Betty before it is too late and she does not disappoint. Cheryl provides us with humor, sassy attitude, and her trusty bow and arrow, reminding us that she never misses a target. Watch out!
While I adore the relationship between Cheryl and Toni, I really wanted to see Cheryl break out of her shell and re-embrace her own identity. She gets the chance to do that in the season 3 finale, as she reveals courage and strength, coming face-to-face with one of her greatest fears. It’s amazing that Cheryl can be so incredibly traumatized, and rightfully so, but still push that aside to help her friends, which reminds us that she is extremely loyal.
Cheryl is typically thought of as a supporting character outside of the core 4: Jughead, Betty, Archie, and Veronica. However, for me, she absolutely stole the show. While there were plenty of intense moments for all of our characters, I was rooting for Cheryl the entire time, as she became the unlikely hero of the day for me.
What’s next for Cheryl? It was unlikely that Cheryl would come out of everything completely unscathed, as we see her welcoming home her brother Jason at the end of the episode, keeping his corpse with her at home. Cheryl has had to process so much and she just discovered that her mother is the true Gargoyle King, which is enough to drive anyone over the edge. However, this combined with the drama she faced at the Farm, along with discovering her brother’s body, has clearly taken its toll. I am sure that this will be explored more in season 4 and hopefully Toni or Nana Rose can snap her back to reality. I personally can’t wait to see what she does next!
Stay tuned for a recognized performance on TV each week!

**Book Two of the Dreaming of Wonderland series, Embracing the Looking-Glass, is scheduled to be released June 5th 2019!!!!
Happy Thursday TV fans! After watching the CW’s Riverdale season 3 episode 22 season finale, Jughead reminded us of a quote from Arthur Conan Doyle: “Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains…however improbable, must be the truth.” But what if the truth is even more frightening than the impossible? Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet. In last night’s episode, “Chapter Fifty-Seven: Survive the Night,” Jughead, Betty, Archie, and Veronica come face to face with the real Gargoyle King, as they are put through a series of dangerous quests that threaten each of their lives. Meanwhile, Cheryl tries to get other members of the Farm to listen to reason and we learn a secret about Alice that could change everything. My top 5 moments from the Riverdale season 3 episode 22 season finale are:
5
“The true king was you…”
In the beginning of the episode, we cut right to the chase, as Jughead, Betty, Archie, and Veronica end up at some kind of creepy Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. We learn that Penelope “bought” Betty from Edgar after she learned about his harvesting organs scheme from Toni, but is Betty in even more danger now? As everyone exchanges confused looks, we meet two more guests and Penelope reminds them that there are “no masks at the dinner table.” Hal is the Black Hood and is very much alive and Chic is the Gargoyle King. Chic now has red hair and has been pretending to be Jason under Penelope’s twisted orders, but this was a very satisfying reveal. We learn that the true Gargoyle King is Penelope Blossom.
I originally suspected that the King was a Queen, but I put my money on the wrong Riverdale mother, but I was very pleased with this reveal. After all, the Red Dahlia can be extremely dangerous. Penelope reveals that Jughead and the others are featured players because they are all children of the original Midnight Club members and she’s looking to put their parents through the same trauma that she went through with Jason. We also learn that Sister Woodhouse was behind the deaths at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy, as all of the puzzle pieces begin to fit into place. And so the final quest begins…
4
“I don’t think I ever stopped loving you.”
Even though this episode is jam-packed with constant action and twists and turns, we do take a quick moment for Varchie to have a heart-to-heart talk. Now that their lives are in great danger, Archie tells Veroncia how he really feels about her and she says, “My heart ached for you,” revealing that nothing happened that night between her and Reggie. Varchie fans rejoice! And now back to the action…
3
“What kind of sick monster are you?”
Meanwhile, Cheryl tries to convince Fangs and Kevin that they are in great danger, but the organs that Betty discovered have been conveniently moved. Cheryl walks into a room and begins screaming, as she confronts Edgar and asks him, “What kind of sick monster are you?”
We later learn that Edgar was the one responsible for the grave digging, as he decided to reunite Jason Blossom’s corpse with his sister. Talk about twisted! Cheryl gets a lucky break when she works with an “angel in disguise,” as Alice finally comes to her senses and helps Cheryl escape with the remaining twin, recognizing that Betty needs help. It’s about time, Alice! Cheryl recruits the Serpents and Poisons and shows up to help protect her friends with her trusty bow and arrow. Go Cheryl!
2
“I’d start running if I were you…”
The most intriguing part of the episode for me was the actual final quest, as Penelope does not hold back. Jughead, Betty, Archie, and Veronica are left in the nature preserve and stumble upon a series of tests that are life threatening. We get a grizzly fight for Archie, a dangerous game of spin the bottle for Veronica, a battle of kings for Jughead, and a one bullet scenario for our girl, Betty. The trials had me on the edge of my seat, as our favorite characters desperately try to prevail while protecting one another. Penelope is amused and somewhat impressed by their performances, but she is not above taking matters into her own hands.
When Betty is presented with the “one bullet” task, she has to shoot her father before he shoots her and her friends. Betty shoots him, but Penelope appears and tells him that he was always a terrible serial killer, shooting Hal in the head right in front of his daughter. The threat is over for now, as Cheryl and the others step in to save the day and Betty and Veronica get the antidote to the poison from the chalices. Penelope and Chic are gone for now, but we know that things are never truly boring in Riverdale, as we are about to find out.
1
“To the future…”
Even though we get plenty of reveals during the season finale, the mystery is far from over. When Betty and the others return to the Farm, we discover that “the worthy ascended,” but they left Kevin behind. Alice and Polly are gone, but this isn’t even the most shocking part. An FBI agent comes to see Betty and we learn that Alice was actually an FBI informant, working with…her son, Charles. Charles is very much alive, but will he be able to find his mother now with Bughead’s help?
Meanwhile, Cheryl begins to bond with her brother, Jason. Yes, you heard me right. She welcomes Jason’s corpse back into her home, which is very disturbing. Hermione is arrested for the attempted murder of Hiram and Hiram reminds us, “You don’t even know what’s coming,” which couldn’t be more accurate. What else does he have planned from behind bars? I’m anxious to find out.
The most interesting twist happens at the very end of the season finale when Jughead, Betty, Archie, and Veronica make a pact to keep their lives drama free. However, we flash forward to spring break of their senior year and we see Archie, Betty, and Veronica standing over a fire, covered in blood. They burn Jughead’s hat and say that they will never speak of this. Talk about a major cliffhanger! Stay tuned for season 4 Riverdale fans! I can’t wait!
I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Riverdale in the comments section below. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!
