Villanelle is back and better than ever!
I don’t know about you, but I have been counting the days until Villanelle’s return. Jodie Comer is perfection and I was so excited to see her channel that dark Villanelle humor in season 3, episode 2. Send in the clowns!

From her killer fashion to her eccentric characters, Jodie Comer pours her heart and soul into this role and Villanelle is the most unique and interesting character on television. It’s no surprise that Comer won the Emmy award last year and she should just get this award automatically because she brings such a fresh and unique take to the role.

It’s not easy playing a female assassin and somehow Jodie Comer makes you actually root for Villanelle. Sure, she is committing some pretty violent and brutal crimes along the way, but she’s also trying to find her own path and identity, which gives her character so many layers.
Previously, we have seen glimmers of Villanelle’s humanity shining through, but her love/obsession with Eve took up most of her time. Villanelle is finally trying to branch out and discover something that makes her happy, even exploring management, which is no easy task.

However, now that she has discovered that Eve is alive, that obsession may return, but I’m confident that Villanelle will continue to surprise and shock us. The dynamic between these two is always fantastic, but Villanelle has grown into such a fantastic character on her own and I’m really hoping that we can finally devote some more time to her actual development.

What happened in her childhood? How did she first become an assassin?
I have endless questions and I’m really hoping that we can explore some more layers behind Villanelle while enjoying some outrageous and hilarious moments with her.
What’s next for Villanelle? Well, she now has to deal with Eve being alive while trying out her new role for The Twelve. A life/work balance can be difficult to manage, but when you throw killing in there as well, all bets are off. I’m looking forward to more hilarious moments from Villanelle and the teaser for the stuffed animal scene looks like it can be a lot of fun.
As Villanelle reminded Felix, she’s kind of a big deal in this business, but anybody can fight…“it takes a special kind of person to kill.” Villanelle is definitely a special kind of person, but let’s hope that we can find out what really makes her tick and allow her to shine even more for us.
Either way, I am so beyond excited that Jomie Comer is back in this role and I can’t wait to see what she does next! You can never really guess with her…

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching BBC America’s Killing Eve season 3 episode 2, I learned that “being hard on someone is sometimes what they need,” but it doesn’t always help you let go of all of the worry, grief, and regret.
Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.
In last night’s episode, “Management Sucks,” Villanelle moves into her new place and attempts to mentor a new assassin, but she quickly learns that management is not that easy. Meanwhile, Eve and Carolyn attempt to cope in different ways.
My top 5 moments from Killing Eve season 3 episode 2 are:

“I have no queries.”
We’re not used to a statement like this from Eve, who is always filled with endless questions. Eve is not coping with Kenny’s death well and refuses to admit that he took his own life. She drowns herself with alcohol and has a fit at the funeral, but it looks like she is not out of the game just yet when she swipes Kenny’s phone to get some answers.
Carolyn also seems to be having some trouble dealing with Kenny’s death as she wonders if they can play some better music. We also meet Carolyn’s daughter, Geraldine, who seems to have a lot of potential.

Plus, I’m always happy to see a Game of Thrones alum.

“You like what you see?”
Meanwhile in Barcelona, Villanelle shows off some fantastic outfits in episode 2 and explores her new home. Seriously, I would love to raid her closet.

It is quite magnificent and checks off all of her boxes…even the water pressure. Villanelle loves to live in style, but we’ll have to see if she is truly ready for her new position.

“I need to know what happened.”
After her outburst, Eve reminds Carolyn that she doesn’t work for her anymore. However, Carolyn reveals that Villanelle is back and working again. Eve tells her that she can’t help, but has this sparked her curiosity? I’m thinking so.

It looks like Eve and Carolyn will team up once again in order to truly get to the bottom of Kenny’s death, but Konstantin is always watching…seriously don’t ever accept a gift from him.

“Anybody can fight. It takes a special person to kill.”
Villanelle is tasked with guiding a young potential assassin named Felix, but quickly discovers that management is far from easy. Villanelle hilariously asks him if he is ten years old and mocks his answers, which really gave me that Villanelle dark humor I have been craving.
Villanelle reminds Felix that she’s “kind of a big deal in this industry” and tries to show him the ropes as they show up for their first assignment…dressed as clowns.

Villanelle keeps the laughs coming and perhaps she has a fallback career after all in her future. After Felix gets a little bit messy with the job, Villanelle takes him out of the picture for good. I guess killing isn’t for everyone…

“That’s not possible…”
At the end of the episode, Konstantin shows up and reveals that he is still working for The Twelve. He tells Villanelle that Eve is still alive, which has clearly unleashed something within her.

We know that both Eve and Villanelle have been saying that they have dealt with what happened, but I’m not sure that either of them are in control right now and I can’t wait to see what happens when they finally come face to face with one another again.
Overall, I thought that episode 2 bounced back with flair and provided us with the dark humor we know and love. Villanelle was beyond fantastic and I hope that we can continue the episodes at this pace.

Happy Monday TV fans! The wait is over and our favorite assassin is back! After watching BBC America’s Killing Eve season 3 episode 1 season premiere on AMC, I learned that “power is there for the taking. You just have to be smart about how.”
Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.
In last night’s episode, “Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey,” we catch up with Villanelle after that major cliffhanger in season 2. Meanwhile, Eve tries to pick up the pieces of her own life before a shocking death snaps her out of her temporary trance.
My top 5 moments from the Killing Eve season 3 episode 1 season premiere are:

“I am so much happier now that she’s dead.”
Are you though, Villanelle? We catch up with Villanelle at her wedding. Villanelle is marrying a wealthy woman and makes it a point to discuss her many assets during her wedding speech.

She also brings up her ex, but the celebration is cut short when Villanelle’s old mentor, Dasha shows up to invite her back to work.
I’m not sure our girl Villanelle is the settling type, but I’m glad to see that she is having some fun.

“I want to be a keeper.”
It’s good to have goals as an assassin and we learn that Villanelle apparently wants to be a “keeper.” A keeper is a rank within “The Twelve” secret organization and we know that it is higher than Konstantin’s rank, but Dasha thinks that perhaps Villanelle will work her way up to this.
So, what do we know about Villanelle’s mentor? Well, we get a flashback of her in the very beginning of the episode in Moscow 1974 and learn why gymnastics can be deadly.
It’s clear that she has a past with Villanelle and I’m hoping that her presence on the show will finally give us a chance to explore Villanelle’s own past and childhood, which I’m very interested to learn more about.
Can Dasha’s intentions be trusted now? Probably not, but it also looks like we will be jumping into “The Twelve” plot more and it’s about time.

“You can hide from it but it won’t hide from you.”
Meanwhile, Eve is alive and well, but she has quite the scar after being shot by Villanelle. Eve is now working in a Korean restaurant kitchen and she has definitely lost her spark.

I’m very much used to the neurotic Eve who likes to talk things out, but this quiet and forlorn Eve is quite jarring.
It looks like she needs a wake-up call and she’s about to get one…

“I’m totally done with her.”
I’m not sure that Eve and Villanelle can every truly be done with each other, but it will be interesting to see how Villanelle reacts when she finds out that Eve is actually alive. Eve confides in Kenny that she’s over her, but she also takes some time to chat with Niko.
It looks like their marriage is over, but I guess we will still get some screen time for him.

“Where are you?”
The ending of the season premiere presented us with quite a shock as one of our recurring characters bites the dust. Poor Kenny is pushed out a window and Eve discovers his body. I always liked Kenny and it’s a shame about his death, but it looks like this will be what snaps Eve back to reality.

Why was Kenny killed? Does it have to do with Carolyn?
We’ll have to wait to get some answers, but it looks like Eve is back in action.
So, I had some issues with the season premiere. I am a huge fan of the series and I absolutely loved season 1 and thought that season 2 was quite entertaining as well. However, the opening of season 3 felt different.
I know that we have some different writers now, but the show almost seemed fizzled out. It felt like we were catching up with some of our favorite characters as they tried to insert themselves back into a new plot. The pacing was slow and I found myself tuning out, which I have never done previously.
I don’t want this show to lose its charm and humor because that’s what makes it unique. We need the dynamic between Eve and Villanelle, but we also need all of the tiny details in between that make this show so magnetic.
I’m remaining hopeful but I really need this show to breathe some much needed life back into it so I can enjoy it again. Our Villanelle deserves it!

Greetings TV Fans! I hope you all had an amazing holiday and I wish you all the best for the upcoming New Year! As we get closer and closer to approaching 2020, I thought it would be the perfect time to count down my Top 10 TV Shows of 2019.
While some returning shows continued strong, others fell off slightly. Meanwhile, some other new shows completely captivated my attention, paving their way into my top 10.
**Please note some spoilers are ahead.**
Without any further delay, let’s get to my list!
My Top 10 Television Shows of 2019 are:

American Horror Story: 1984

Who doesn’t love the 80’s? The first half of the newest season of AHS was so much fun. The music was to die for and it really gave us this campy comedy horror vibe that also presented us with some fun throwbacks to horror movies we all know and love.
Emma Roberts did a fantastic job leading the cast and we got plenty of twists and turns along the way. While the second half of the season fell off for me, I still was entertained, rooting for my Final Girls to kick some ass!

The Punisher (Season 2)

So I am a huge Jon Bernthal fan and I really think that he plays this role to perfection. Bernthal is always a little rough around the edges, but that’s part of his charm and he is so believable as Frank Castle. I absolutely loved the first season of the show and while I anticipated that this show would be canceled after season 2, I knew that it would provide us with a lot of action and it did!

The Purge (Season 2)

Last year, The Purge (season 1) was my absolute favorite show of the year. I am a huge fan of the movies and I didn’t go into the series with very high expectations, but it was bloody fantastic! It’s hard to live up to something so spectacular and while season 2 fell slightly short for me, it still was such an entertaining watch.
The new characters were great and I loved the inside look into the NFFA. Fans got a chance to see a world outside of Purge Night, which was so interesting. They presented us with so many new layers, while sprinkling in some super fun cameos and Easter eggs too!

Riverdale (Season 3)

Riverdale is definitely one of my favorite shows, but after all of the Black Hood dark twists in season 2, season 3 got a little bit weird. We entered the world of Gryphons and Gargoyles and learned about The Farm, which was really bizarre and confusing, but there were still so many moments that kept this show going strong for me.
The Midnight Club flashback episode was fantastic and Cheryl Blossom was pretty much born to star in the Heathers musical episode, reminding me why I love this show so much!

The Walking Dead (Season 10)

I have been watching TWD since it first started and I loved the earlier seasons so much. The show fell off for me along the way and I often felt like I was watching out of obligation. However, the second half of season 9 and the beginning of season 10 made me a true fan once again.
The Whisperers are fantastic villains and we are finally getting some screen time for some of our favorite characters. I mean, who doesn’t love seeing Daryl and Carol making friendship bracelets for one another? Keep it up, TWD!

Unbelievable

Not the typical type of show that I usually watch, but I heard really great things about this show and decided to give it a try. There were some parts that were difficult to watch, but the performances were so real and inspiring. I could not stop watching this show and I thought it was so thought-provoking and important.

Killing Eve (Season 2)

While season 1 allowed us to really focus on Eve’s quest to take down Villanelle, we got to really know Villanelle in season 2. Jodie Comer’s performance was beyond fantastic and I was so excited for her Emmy win! The dynamic between Eve and Villanelle took some unexpected turns in season 2 and we were left with a major cliffhanger at the end of the season, but this show is so addicting and I can’t get enough! More please!

Stranger Things (Season 3)

I am a huge fan of Stranger Things, but I was slightly underwhelmed by season 2. However, season 3 came back with a bang, giving us so many fun 80’s moments. Some of our favorite characters truly got to shine and we also got some fantastic new characters that I welcomed with open arms. I think season 3 may be my favorite now, but I was so entertained by the watch and I can’t wait to see how it all ends!

Game of Thrones (Season 8)

I thought that GOT would pretty much be a given as my favorite show of the year, but the final season took some interesting twists that I’m still debating over. That being said, the performances were brilliant, the action was intense, and we also got some heart-warming moments in the midst of the heartbreaking ones.
I loved seeing Arya’s “Not Today” moment and Jon Snow’s reunion with Ghost was very special for me. This show will always be one of my all time favorites and overall, I was thoroughly entertained.

The Witcher

This show was such an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Even though the show started off a little slow, it kicked things up a notch and quickly became my favorite show of the year! The characters and performances were beyond fantastic. The action was out of this world and the dark magic was so intriguing.
This show was fast-paced, fun, and addicting. I never thought that I would even like this show and it somehow blew all of the other shows out of the water for me. Cheers to The Witcher!

Villanelle and Eve onKilling Eve, better known as Villaneve! The tension between these two has been building for two seasons now and there is so much untapped desire swirling around, begging to come out, but will Villaneve fans ever get the moment they have been waiting for? Please note some spoilers are ahead. Eve’s interest in tracking down Villanelle turned into an obsession in season one, but in season two, she has been discovering her darker side. The dynamic between these two amazing characters shifted and it was interesting to see Villanelle searching for a true connection and something human, while Eve has been dancing with the devil, wondering if she has that killer instinct that comes so naturally to Villanelle.
One of my favorite moments for Villaneve in season one is when Villanelle invites herself over for dinner and Eve fears that she is initially there to kill her. Villanelle slams her against the refrigerator and asks her if she is wearing her perfume, which escalated this game of cat and mouse into something more seductive, surprising Eve. These two continued to share an infatuation, but Eve sparked something even greater by stabbing Villanelle in the season one finale. You would think Villanelle would want to kill her, but she is excited by this action, recognizing that perhaps her and Eve are actually very much alike and that this proves that she really cares for her. I mean, I guess flowers and chocolates are no longer necessary here.
During season two, the relationship between Villaneve heats up even more, as these two work together and end up becoming closer because of it. In the episode prior to the season finale, Villanelle continues to talk to Eve over her earpiece, which prompts Eve to have sex with Hugo, while Villanelle listens in, providing these two with a beyond intimate moment. In the season finale, Eve kills Raymond to save Villanelle, while Villanelle watches her with pleasure. Eve has finally reached that dark side she has been exploring and Villanelle thinks that they now have a chance to be together.
Only, nothing is simple for Villaneve, as Eve begins to panic and have second thoughts, realizing that Villanelle essentially manipulated her into killing in front of her, since Villanelle had a gun with her the entire time. In a heated moment, Villanelle slaps Eve across the face, which was probably one of the steamiest moments I have witnessed on the show. Shout out goes to @greyhound001 on Twitter, who was amazing enough to remind me of this and I have to say that I agree 100 percent. There is something so twisted and wrong with Villaneve and yet it works and draws the audience in even more.
What’s next for Villaneve? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out, but we are left with a major cliffhanger in the season two finale and we know that Villanelle always gets what she wants. Has she gone too far though? Is there any hope for Villaneve to FINALLY share a kiss? The suspense is killing me! I can’t wait to see what happens next for these two!

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching BBC America’s Killing Eve season 2 episode 8 season finale on AMC, I realized that what comes around, goes around. Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet. In last night’s episode, “You’re Mine,” armed guards from The Twelve show up and threaten Eve’s operation, which puts her life in immediate danger. Meanwhile, Aaron wants Villanelle to work for him and Raymond comes back looking for revenge. My top 5 moments from the Killing Eve season 2 episode 8 season finale are:

“Gentleman is a very common word.”
In the beginning of the episode, Eve hears a noise outside and is shocked when she discovers that Hugo has been shot. Villanelle uses the safe word, “gentleman,” and Eve rushes over to her to save the day, leaving a note behind to help poor Hugo, who is left bleeding in the hallway. When Eve arrives, she discovers that Villanelle appears to be fine and is sitting down for breakfast with Aaron. Aaron recognizes Eve and Villanelle reveals her Russian accent, which is what truly surprises Aaron. Villanelle went through some of Aaron’s homemade movies, which are quite disturbing, and he offers her the chance to work for him, telling her that she will never be bored again.
Villanelle seems tempted by the offer and asks Aaron if he wants her to kill Eve and further asks if he would like to watch. Of course our girl Villanelle does not disappoint, as she decides to slit Aaron’s throat instead and says, “Then watch this,” while turning him around to face his reflection. Life or death with Villanelle is never boring, but Eve thinks that they have blown the mission now and realizes that they are in great danger. She asks Villanelle why she used the safe word and Villanelle hilariously reminds her that “gentleman” is a very common word after all.

“This is not uncomfortable. This is a setup.”
After convincing Villanelle to come with her, Eve rushes back to the place where she was staying, but Hugo’s body is gone and it looks like the room has been completely cleaned out, as all of the recordings have vanished as well. Carolyn knocks on the door and Eve suddenly understands that she wanted Aaron dead all along. Eve feels like a pawn, but Carolyn reminds her that “it was never going to be bloodless.” Aaron’s data weapon was extremely dangerous and Carolyn did not want to take any chances, but she now leaves Eve with a very important choice, reminding her that she can’t play both sides.
Eve decides to leave and tells Carolyn that she plans on letting Kenny know about everything, but Carolyn turns the tables on Eve and reveals that Kenny was part of the cleanup operation. It now makes sense why Kenny tried to tell Eve not to go to Rome in the first place. It looks like Eve is on her own, but can she trust Villanelle to truly have her back now?

“What is it about her?”
After Carolyn confronts Eve, Villanelle gets her own visit from Konstantin, who tells her that he is there to save her. Villanelle tells him that she will not leave Eve behind and Konstantin asks, “What is it about her?” Villanelle explains that they are the same and they both end up choosing each other after discovering that they were played. Villanelle reminds Konstantin that she will find him and his family and we know that she is not a fan of being double crossed. Look out, Konstantin!

“You’re such a drama queen!”
When Villanelle goes looking for Eve, she finds Raymond waiting for her instead with an ax and she tells him, “You are the worst!” Villanelle’s fight with Raymond is entertaining enough, but Raymond actually manages to get her into a choke hold and Eve nervously picks up the ax to help save Villanelle. Villanelle tells her to do it over and over again and Eve finally strikes him with the ax in the shoulder.
Villanelle continues to struggle and tells Eve that she needs to hit him in the head. After battling her inner conscience, Eve finally follows through, as Villanelle watches with pleasure, realizing that she has now truly brought Eve over to the dark side with her. Will this connect them even more or will it drive a wedge between them? We’re about to find out…

“You’re mine!”
After fleeing from the scene, Villanelle tells Eve that they can go to Alaska together and have a normal life. She tells her that it is going to be amazing, but Eve suddenly realizes that Villanelle had a gun with her the entire time. She asks Villanelle why she didn’t use the gun on Raymond and now understands that Villanelle wanted her to kill him. Villanelle tells Eve, “I wanted you to know how it feels,” but Eve begins to walk away from her, not wanting to have any part of this Bonnie and Clyde adventure anymore. Eve claims that she is no longer afraid because now she is like Villanelle and tries to pull away after the two almost share a kiss.
Eve successfully pulls away and Villanelle tries to tell her that she loves her, but Eve reminds her that she doesn’t understand what love is. Our girl Villanelle always gets what she wants and tells Eve, “You’re mine,” right before shooting the gun. We cut to Eve’s body on the ground and it looks like Villanelle has just turned the tables on her. After all, Eve did stab her pretty brutally in the season one finale, so it only seems fair that Villanelle gets her chance to even the score in the season two finale. What does this mean for season three? Will Eve be OK? Is Villanelle finally done with her? So many questions and I can’t wait to find out what happens next! Stay tuned for season three!

After watching BBC America’s Killing Eve season 2 episode 7 on AMC, I found myself singing along with Villanelle to Blondie’s “One Way or Another.” I mean, if you really think about it, she will find a way to get you. Watch out, Eve! Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet. In last night’s episode, “Wide Awake,” Villanelle secures her date with Aaron Peel, which leads to an interesting trip to Rome. Meanwhile, Eve has an important talk with Martin and begins to realize that her obsession is causing her to do things she wouldn’t normally do and Niko finds himself in a very dangerous situation. “I feel things when I’m with you…”
In the beginning of the episode, Eve stops by Villanelle’s place and asks her if she really knows anything about being truthful. Villanelle tells her that she really doesn’t know, but explains that she does feel something when she is with Eve. The two women from the end of last week’s episode both make their way out of Villanelle’s bedroom, which makes Eve slightly uneasy. Villanelle reminds her not to be jealous, but it’s clear that Eve is getting way too close here and she needs to be careful. Even though Villanelle has these feelings for her, she’s still a dangerous assassin who likes to do things her way.

“Do you love Eve?”
While Niko and Gemma are putting some of his things in storage, they get a surprise visit from Villanelle. Villanelle tells Niko, “You always look annoyed to see me,” but takes it upon herself to keep his snow globe and of course she wants the recipe to his Shepherd’s Pie because Eve loves it. “Worcestershire sauce…yes!” Who knew Worcestershire sauce could be so exciting? Even when tensions are high, Villanelle is still able to break the ice with her offbeat humor. It’s just one of the many reasons why I adore Villanelle and root for her even though she is a killer.
Villanelle also hilariously points out how annoying Gemma is, but is ready to cut to the chase. She directly asks Niko if he loves Eve and he says he does. Only honesty is not always the best policy when it comes to Villanelle, as she tells him that she was “so close to letting him go.” Villanelle knows that Eve will never forgive her if she hurts Niko, but things don’t look so good for Gemma. Sorry Gemma! At the end of the episode, Niko wakes up in the storage unit and discovers Gemma’s lifeless body wrapped in plastic. We know that Villanelle will do anything to keep Eve to herself, but is Niko prepared to fight for his wife? I can’t wait to find out!

“So that’s Peel’s weapon.”
Even after throwing a book at Aaron’s face, Villanelle still manages to secure a date with Aaron as “Billie.” I mean, she is quite charming after all. Aaron invites Villanelle to Rome, but she explains that she will not sleep with him, which doesn’t seem to bother him at all. So what is Aaron interested in? It seems like he is obsessed with maintaining control and he enjoys watching Villanelle eat and dress, but only if it is approved by him. Aaron has almost an entire wardrobe of gorgeous clothes waiting for her in her room, but he watches her look at them on camera like a creepy stalker.
After Eve manages to slip Villanelle her earpiece, it seems like we are in business, as Villanelle sits in on Aaron’s business dinner. We learn that his weapon is essentially information, but the kind of information that can be extremely dangerous, as you can type in the name of any person and learn everything about them…including their deepest and darkest secrets.

“You’re the only person in the world I know nothing about…”
After the dinner, Aaron tells Villanelle that he tried to look up information on “Billie” and found nothing, which instantly puts Eve in panic mode. However, Villanelle remains calm, as she and Aaron find common ground in the fact that they are both essentially a “void.” Aaron has no interest in truly connecting with others, but Villanelle explains that she does like trying to connect. She wants to touch and feel, which creates an interesting dynamic between these two. Even though this is an undercover job for Villanelle, I think it has revealed a lot about her own character, as she begins to explore parts of herself that she has never really tapped into before.

“I feel wide awake…”
During the episode, Eve has a talk with Martin and he asks her, “How much of the day do you spend thinking of her?” Eve reveals that she thinks of Villanelle most of the day, but yet they really don’t have a relationship. Eve recognizes that she is acting different and she feels unsafe, but somehow wide awake, as if this is her true identity. Martin tells her that his recommendation for her to be taken off this mission was ignored, but he is telling Eve now for her own safety. Only it doesn’t seem like she is ready to listen just yet, even though she recognizes how much she is changing.
After Villanelle goes to bed, she keeps the earpiece in and continues talking to Eve, sparking up a heated conversation that leads to Eve sleeping with Hugo. Eve essentially uses Hugo here, but ends up connecting with Villanelle through this act, as even Hugo recognizes this and tells her, “Thanks for the threesome.” Eve is playing a dangerous game here and she is allowing her desires to take complete control, throwing reason out the window. Will she be able to get a hold of herself or is she too far gone, slipping away into Villanelle’s web of dangerous seduction? Will Villaneve fans finally get the chance to see these two act on their feelings? Stay tuned for the season finale next week!

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching BBC America’s Killing Eve season 2 episode 6 on AMC, I learned that you should never mess with Villanelle. Even if she is not trying to kill you, she will make you pay…oh and never pick up a muffin anywhere near her…ever. Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet. In last night’s episode, “I Hope You Like Missionary!” Niko confronts Eve about his conversation with Villanelle, which puts more than a strain on their marriage. Meanwhile, Villanelle shows off her impressive collection of personalities and accents after Eve asks for her help, but ends up revealing some truth behind the real Villanelle. My top 5 moments from Killing Eveseason 2 episode 6 are:

“Looks like we’re both pretty busy…”
After the intense conversation between Niko and Villanelle in last week’s episode, Niko confronts Eve and asks her, “What do you want from me?” It’s a fair question especially since Eve has been all over the place lately. It initially seems like Niko and Eve are all right for now, but Niko changes his mind in the morning and reminds Eve, “but you’re not alone, are you?” Niko temporarily moves out of the house and stays with Gemma, who is the colleague from his job that clearly has more than a crush on Niko.
Eve stops by and insists on coming in for tea, but she loses it when she begins going through Gemma’s things. Gemma asks Eve what she is doing and Eve asks her if she is scared, almost like she is trying to channel her own inner Villanelle. It looks like this may be the end for Niko and Eve and I can’t say that I’m really surprised, but Eve has a lot to work through. She really needs to discover what she wants for herself before she can move forward in any relationship.

“Who do you want?”
Eve and her team are trying to figure out a way to get close to Aaron Peel so we can learn more about his dealings with The Twelve, but Aaron doesn’t really have many close connections. The one weak link seems to be his sister, Amber, who is currently in recovery from addiction. Eve comes up with the idea to enlist Villanelle’s help once again…only her services will not include killing someone.
Villanelle is eager to work with Eve and greets her with a chipper tone when she says, “Hi Partner!” Villanelle is ready to play the part and shows off her fabulous ideas for her next “character.” I have to say that I absolutely adored the New York persona, Billie, and her accent was far from annoying. I’m glad she went with that one and I would love to run into Villanelle in New York!

“The only thing that makes you interesting is me…don’t forget.”
Villanelle tries out her persona,Billie, at an AA meeting, but the group sees right through her lies, explaining that she is throwing a self-pity party for herself and their group is more about honesty. Eve is initially frustrated by this because Villanelle’s story was inspired by Eve’s life and goes off on her as a result, but Villanelle gently reminds her that she doesn’t like her that much and she shouldn’t forget that she is the one making her life interesting right now. Villanelle may have an obsession with Eve, but she likes to do things her way and perhaps she is always the one in charge, so Eve better remember that. Even though Villanelle is “working” for Eve, she may have her own agenda.

“I don’t feel anything…”
When Villanelle returns to her next AA meeting, she is ready to reveal some truths about herself. Villanelle explains: “Most days I feel nothing…I don’t feel anything…it’s so boring.” She further explains that she just tries to find ways to feel something. This was a huge moment for Villanelle, as she finally lets her walls down, revealing that she is not an empty shell. Villanelle has been trying to tap into her humanity for a while now and this moment allowed us to truly see that.
I thought Jodie Comer’s performance here was fantastic and I was very moved by her revelations. Aaron’s sister, Amber, is impressed as well and it seems like these two are going to begin bonding according to plan, but Amber’s sponsor continues to get in the way. Even though Villanelle shows off a softer side of herself, she is still an assassin and she pushes the sponsor in front of a moving vehicle in front of Eve. Seriously, don’t get in her way.

“You’re a bully…there’s only one way to communicate with a bully.”
Villanelle is invited over to dinner at Amber’s house and she gets to interact with Aaron Peel. She has Eve and Konstantin in her ear the whole time, which is distracting, as Villanelle decides to take the ear piece out and do things her way. Billie’s cover story includes her having two degrees in philosophy, but it’s safe to say that Villanelle has not really done her homework. Aaron begins to question her repeatedly, but Villanelle does not waver.
Villanelle faces Aaron and tells him that he is a bully and the only way to communicate with him is to…strike him in the face with the book he tossed on her lap. Go Villanelle! I have to say that I LOVED this moment, as I cannot stand bullies myself and Villanelle really put him in his place. Even though she may have just blown the mission, Villanelle proves that she is her own boss and we later see her following a pair of young women who have piqued her interest. I’m not really sure what she has in store for them, but perhaps she has found a new obsession? We’ll have to wait and see, but it looks like Eve’s hold over Villanelle may be fading. How will she handle it though? Stay tuned!

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching BBC America’s Killing Eve season 2 episode 5 on AMC, I learned that when it comes to a psychopath, “don’t add…take it all away.” Take away everything that makes them human, but what if the psychopath in question is desperately trying to tap into something human? What then? Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet. In last night’s episode, “Smell Ya Later,” Eve and the rest of the team are not getting anywhere with the new female assassin, the Ghost. Meanwhile, Villanelle is thrown off when she gets her newest assignment, which causes her to enter into a proactive state of mourning. My top 5 moments from Killing Eve season 2 episode 5 are:

“The demon with no face…”
After getting nowhere with the Ghost, Eve is disappointed that she isn’t really fun like Villanelle, which sparks a new idea. Eve thinks that they can enlist the help of Villanelle to get something out of the Ghost, since she seems to be absolutely terrified of her. Eve decides to put a hit out on herself, which is extremely risky and dangerous, but Eve has been dancing with danger for quite a while now.
Carolyn is on board and Eve is reminded that there is no paper trail on her. Is Carolyn trying to get rid of Eve after she uses her? I’m not sure, but Eve better watch her back. When Villanelle gets the hit assignment, she is far from amused and asks, “Is this a joke?” For a while now, Eve and Villanelle have been tapping into the qualities of one another, which has now blurred the line between good and bad. What will happen when they finally come face to face with one another? We’re about to find out!

“This is out of control…”
Kenny tries to talk some sense into Eve and reminds her that Villanelle killed Bill and that she is putting people in danger. Eve suggests that Kenny find a new assignment to work on rather than dealing with what he is saying. It seems like Eve has been dismissing the opinions of others for a while now. First with Niko and now with Kenny, as she continues to let her obsession guide her. But it’s not a good idea for Eve to walk away from all of the people she cares about, as they may be the only ones keeping her grounded.

“Will you give me everything I want?”
The moment we have all been waiting for is here, as Eve and Villanelle finally meet up. Villaneve fans get some major moments between them, as the chemistry is off the charts. Villanelle says that Eve doesn’t seem too surprised to see her and explains that she thought she forgot her. Eve tries to tell her that this was her idea and says that she needs her help. Villanelle is dressed for the occasion for sure, as she is “about to be in mourning,” but Eve tries to keep her cool.
Eve even takes the pills that Villanelle had, as Villanelle begins screaming for her to do something and claims that it is poison. It seemed like Eve was trying to call Villanelle’s bluff here to prove that she wasn’t afraid and that she didn’t think she could kill her, but Villanelle reminds her who the true boss is here. As Eve rushes off to the sink, Villanelle begins hysterically laughing and says, “Of course it isn’t poison. Do you think I’m insane? You’re too easy.” This moment was laugh out loud funny, reminding us that Villanelle absolutely has a flair for the dramatic. Villanelle agrees to help Eve, but is Eve prepared to be in Villanelle’s debt? After all, giving her everything she wants may cause Eve to lose her own soul in the process, as she continues to dabble in darkness.

“Would you like to watch?”
Eve brings Villanelle to the Ghost, but begins to have second thoughts, as she realizes what she is doing. Villanelle is ruthless and willing to do anything to get what she wants, but Eve is now an accomplice to anything she does to the Ghost. Villanelle obtains the information that Eve is looking for and explains that Alistair Peel’s son is responsible for the hit and that he is apparently trying to sell some kind of weapon of interest to The Twelve.
Eve tries to ask Villanelle what she did and Villanelle simply responds with, “Nothing you didn’t ask me to.” Eve goes up to the Ghost who says, “Monster,” leaving us with the impression that Villanelle definitely did not hold back here. Has Eve just unleashed her own monster by working with Villanelle? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out, but I love that these two have finally come together again. It’s about time!

“You would think I was the bad guy…”
At the end of the episode, Villanelle pays Niko a visit outside of Oxford. Villanelle apologizes for filing those complaints against Niko at his school, revealing that she has been embedded in Eve and Niko’s life for quite some time now. Villanelle reveals that Eve stabbed her, showing Niko a side of his wife that he was unaware of. It almost felt like Villanelle was revealing an affair, as there is something beyond intimate about their relationship.
Niko does not seem afraid of Villanelle, but is there something more to this? Is Niko innocent or is he perhaps somehow involved in the Twelve? I know it’s a stretch, but anything could be possible. After this confrontation, what’s next for Eve and Niko? We’ll have to wait and see, but it looks like Villanelle is not going anywhere. Stay tuned!

After watching BBC America’s Killing Eve season 2 episode 4 on AMC, I started thinking about the song, “Reflection,” in the movie Mulan, where she sings: “When will my reflection show who I am inside?” It seemed fitting and it’s interesting to see how much the dynamic is shifting between Eve and Villanelle. Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.In last night’s episode, “Desperate Times,” Villanelle puts on a show and tries to win back Eve’s attention. Meanwhile, Eve continues to put the pieces together surrounding Alistair Peel, leading her to the new female assassin, Ghost. My top 5 moments from Killing Eveseason 2 episode 4 are:

“You’re the best person I know…come back.”
Eve and Niko continue to have problems in this episode, as Eve forgets to let him know that they now have security watching their home. Eve clearly has a lot on her mind, but she continues to push Niko further and further away. Niko reminds her that none of this is normal, even though she works for MI6, and tries to get through to her. In a sweet moment, Niko tells Eve that she is the best person he knows and he just wants her to come back, but is Eve too far gone at this point?

“This is so boring!!!!!!”
You just gotta love when Jodie Comer brightens up the screen with her amazing portrayal of Villanelle. Villanelle is in Amsterdam with Konstantin, preparing for her first job, but they decide to walk through a museum, which is beyond boring to Villanelle. Villanelle hilariously shouts this in front of a crowd, not caring what anyone else thinks, but she is intrigued by one painting in particular and even purchases a postcard version to send to Eve. We later see Villanelle in a gorgeous pink ensemble and a woman asks her if she can take a picture for her Instagram and Villanelle hilariously replies, “Don’t be pathetic…get a real life.” This is why I love Villanelle. She says what she thinks without hesitation and we still adore her anyway. The postcard to Eve reads:
Darling Eve,
I hope you haven’t forgotten about me.
Only Carolyn intercepts the postcard before it reaches Eve. But why is Carolyn trying to keep this from Eve? Is there a particular reason why she wants her full attention on Ghost? I still don’t trust Carolyn, but I’m hoping we will fill in some more blanks soon!

“Scorned wives and scumbags…”
Villanelle is ready to put on a show for Eve and we learn that being discreet is definitely not in her nature. Villanelle tracks down her target and lures him into a red light district window. Villanelle wears a pig mask and opens the curtain, as the crowd watches as she strings the man upside down. Before killing him, Villanelle signals for some encouragement from the crowd, as they don’t understand what is really going on before she performs her final act and butchers the man in front of them. Villanelle leaves him hanging upside down, similar to the painting in the postcard she sent to Eve, but she is beyond disappointed when Eve doesn’t show up to investigate her work of art.

“Do you like her watching her or do you like being watched?”
Eve continues to investigate Alistair Peel’s murder and realizes that everyone around him seems to be dying, but in natural ways. After meeting with Alistair’s obnoxious son, Eve begins to focus her attention on Ghost and realizes that she wanted each act to be painless. So “what kind of assassin is that?” A light bulb goes off within Eve, as she realizes that Ghost must have previously worked in the medical field. This is clearly exciting Eve, as she is all about the hunt, but will she forget about Villanelle now that she has Ghost on her mind?

Reflections…
My favorite moment of the episode is at the very end, where we go back and forth between Eve and Villanelle staring at their reflections. Eve is getting ready to interrogate her Ghost suspect and pulls up her hair, leaving it neatly off of her face. She stares at herself and is calm and unwavering. After getting high and almost going off the deep end at a club, Villanelle looks at her own reflection and begins crying, which causes her to eventually smile. Even though Villanelle feels ignored or rejected by Eve, it has brought out human emotions within her, as she taps into vulnerability inside. It always seems like Villanelle is just trying to feel something and now she does, but what will she do about it?
Eve was always previously seen almost out of control and constantly on the move, refusing to sit still, but now she is calm and confident, suggesting that she has perhaps taken a page out of Villanelle’s book. It’s interesting to see how these two characters are almost adapting characteristics of each other, as they continue on this twisted journey. But what will happen when these two halves finally meet in the middle?Stay tuned!
