Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” Season 10 Episode 15 “The Tower”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 episode 15, we were reminded that “it’s so hard to take a chance on people in this world,” but every now and then, it pays off to open up to a new potential friend.

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.

In last night’s episode, “The Tower,” we meet the new wild card character, Princess, who certainly makes things interesting. Meanwhile, Aaron and Alden wind up in trouble and Judith and Lydia try to come to terms with their own losses.

My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 15 are:

5

“I’m great! You’ll see!”

Meet Princess! She is certainly a breath of fresh air, but Yumiko, Ezekiel, and Eugene quickly learn that she is unpredictable, but can they trust her?

TWD AMC 15 1
Images courtesy of AMC

Yumiko reminds the group that when you are alone for that long, you become selfish and crazy and perhaps Princess is a little bit of both, but at least she livens things up for our group. After scaring off their horses by mistake, Princess promises to make it up to the group and wants to help them with their mission.

Everything seems to be going just fine until she leads them right into a minefield. Watch your step, guys! Princess is running out of water canteens. Ultimately, everyone is all right and Princess comes through at the end. Yumiko apologizes to her and it looks like her intentions are pure after all. I personally really enjoyed her introduction onto the show and hope that she continues to make things interesting for us. I have a feeling that she will.

4

“Where are they?”

Meanwhile, Beta continues to channel his inner Alpha to find his enemies, but perhaps he should learn to look around a little harder…

Aaron and Alden are up in the tower, but they may have a difficult time getting out of there undetected. After Beta talks to the wind or to dead Alpha on his face, he seems to know where he is going and Aaron and Alden end up surrounded.

Now might be the perfect time for Maggie to show up…just saying.

3

“That’s your superpower.”

Carol and Kelly get some screen time during this transitional episode, as Carol breaks down and apologizes to Kelly about Connie. Kelly reveals that she doesn’t think Connie is dead and also explains that she does understand Carol and her actions.

Kelly tells Carol that when she first started losing her hearing, Connie reminded her that it was not a weakness…it was her superpower. She talks about how Carol is the “lone wolf” of the group and that’s OK because that is her own superpower.

TWD AMC 15 3
Images courtesy of AMC

I thought this moment was heartwarming and so well done. Kelly doesn’t often get enough screen time and this was a really important moment for both her and Carol.

Now let’s hope that Connie is still alive! I need her back!

2

“It’s not OK!”

Lydia is dealing with her own demons as well, shutting down to those around her. After snapping at Judith, Negan tries to approach her, explaining that he just wanted to tell Lydia that he did like her mom.

Lydia initially turns off all of her emotions here and is clearly afraid to process what has happened. She is mad to feel grief because she knows that her mother was a monster, but she still was her mother and that brings up some complicated feelings.

Later in the episode, Lydia finally breaks down to Negan and releases all of her emotions. It’s important for Lydia to grieve so that she can use it and move on, channeling that strength within her.

1

“I want to learn what you do.”

Judith also finds herself conflicted over her own feelings. After Lydia snaps at her, telling her that “not everyone gets to have a mom like yours,” Judith goes after Daryl and tells him that she wants to tag along and truly learn about what he does.

TWD AMC 15 2
Images courtesy of AMC

Daryl is hesitant at first, but agrees, reminding Judith that she needs to listen to everything he says. Daryl and Judith come across a Whisperer spy, or deserter, who has been badly injured. She isn’t really able to shed much light on anything and Daryl ends her life.

Judith does not react to this well and explains to Daryl that she could have had a family. Even though Judith told her mother to go and see if she could find Rick, she is clearly feeling abandoned and lost now.

Daryl reveals that he tried to radio over to Michonne, but didn’t hear back from her. Judith tells him that she is helping some people, but failed to mention anything about the possibility of Rick being alive. So, why did she keep this from him?

I think Judith is afraid of anyone else leaving her at this point and realizes that Daryl might go running off after Rick as well. We get a touching scene between Daryl and Judith, as Daryl tells her that he is her family. Let’s just hope that everyone can be reunited at some point because Judith’s reaction was honestly breaking my heart.

Overall, the episode functioned well as a transitional one prior to a season finale. While we did get a preview of the season finale, we still don’t know when it will air. I can’t wait to see it later in the year and hope that we can finally get some answers about both Maggie and Connie. I also want to see Eugene meet Stephanie as well, which should set up season 11 nicely.

Stay tuned!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on TWD in the comments section below. Thank you so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” Season 10 Episode 14 “Look at the Flowers”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 episode 14, we were reminded that you should “look forward, not back.” After all, “you don’t know what lies ahead for us…no one does,” which makes the journey that much more important for each and every one of us.

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.

In last night’s episode, “Look at the Flowers,” Carol is haunted by Alpha, causing her to look deeper in her own soul to discover what she truly wants. Meanwhile, Eugene heads off to meet up with Stephanie, a new Alpha is crowned, and Beta looks for signs from the old one.

My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 14 are:

5

“You’re free now.”

In the beginning of the episode, Carol asks Negan again what took him so long. We flash back to the day she let him out of his cell, offering him a chance to help everyone forget what he has done in the past. Negan recognizes Carol as a “certified bad-ass” and so do we, but the task wasn’t that simple and Negan admits to Daryl later on that maybe he did like being undercover for a while.

Negan reminds Carol during present day that she needs to hold up her end of the bargain and escort him back to Alexandria so that everyone believes that he “silenced the Alpha” to save them, but Carol has other things on her mind and reminds Negan that he’s free and it’s up to him whether he wants to wait around for her or not…

4

“A fool willing to believe in future friends.”

Meanwhile, Eugene finally tells the group about his conversations with Stephanie, which puts everyone on edge. We don’t know if Stephanie is an ally or a foe, but Yumiko and Ezekiel are willing to escort Eugene on this journey, determined to stay positive.

Only Ezekiel starts to have several meltdowns along the way. We know that he is very ill and unsure of how much time he has left, but perhaps he can still shed some laughter after all.

We haven’t met Stephanie yet, but the group does stumble upon a city staged with walkers. We get to see some of them sitting down for coffee and even a police officer walker handcuffed, suggesting that someone may be having a little too much fun here.

TWD AMC 1
Images courtesy of AMC

A new character pops up at the end of the episode and seems more than thrilled to see the group, but can she be trusted?

I’m intrigued to find out more! Let’s spice up TWD with a pop of color and insanity!

3

“Just listen…”

After Beta discovers Alpha’s head on a spike, he is less than pleased. Two of the other Whisperers suggest that he is the new Alpha now, but Beta decides to teach them a lesson, pushing one of them close enough to hear what undead Alpha has to say about this while she rips the flesh from his ear…

TWD AMC 2
Images courtesy of AMC

Beta decides to carry Alpha’s head along with him. He cradles her head like a baby, which was beyond disturbing, searching for some kind of a sign. Eventually Beta has apparently found what he is looking for, finally stabbing his former leader’s head.

So, what is Beta planning next? It looks like we may have a split between The Whisperers now that Alpha is gone, but Beta should not be underestimated and I am still looking forward to a rematch between him and Daryl.

2

“We kneel to the new Alpha.”

After Daryl stumbles upon Negan, he is not entirely convinced about his story, especially when Alpha’s head is missing. Before they can hash this out further, some Whisperers show up and decide to bow down to Negan, which really entertains him.

Daryl is forced to kneel as well, but perhaps Negan has an in to truly save everyone now that they are looking at him as the leader. Let’s just hope the power doesn’t go to his head…

I’m also wondering where Lydia ran off to. Hopefully they can get her back before Beta finds her.

Since we know that Beta is seen as a leader as well, the war is far from over, but this should be interesting…

1

“They don’t know what you truly want.”

Even though Alpha is dead, Carol is not completely satisfied yet, as Alpha begins to haunt her. Carol goes on a journey of self-discovery, attempting to discover what she really wants, but it’s far from easy.

TWD AMC 3
Images courtesy of AMC

Alpha drags her back down into the darkest parts of her consciousness, reminding her of Henry, Sophia, Ed, Lizzie and Mika. Alpha represents the voice in Carol’s head that tells her that she isn’t good enough as a mother or as a person.

This journey was so important for Carol to snap her back to reality so that she can move on with her life. The threat may be over, but the real enemies are the inner demons swarming around in Carol’s mind, refusing to release their grip on her.

When Alpha tells Carol to “look at the flowers,” it reminds us of season 4 episode 14, “The Grove.” Carol had told Lizzie to simply look at the flowers before she killed her, which is still one of the most emotionally chaotic episodes I have ever seen on the show.

In this moment, Carol refuses to do the same. She doesn’t just accept her fate. She decides to change it and now finally understands what she wants.

She wants to survive. She wants to live. She wants to finally release all of the demons so that she can move forward.

Welcome back, Carol!

Overall, I thought this was another powerful episode. After Michonne’s own spiritual journey, Carol’s was necessary as well. We certainly moved a lot of other pieces of the plot as well and I’m looking forward to next week’s episode.

Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” Season 10 Episode 13: “What We Become”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 episode 13, we were reminded that “what happens next, it’s your fault.” Every choice we make is important. It can lead us down the path we are meant to pursue, but what happens if we take one false step? Will we still end up in the same place or will our lives change drastically?

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.

In last night’s episode, “What We Become,” we catch up with Michonne and Virgil, as they finally reach Bloodsworth Island. Things are not as quiet as they seem, as Michonne ends up on a spiritual journey of her own that leads her to an incredible discovery.

My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 13 are:

5

“I’m not staying here long…”

As Michonne arrives at Bloodsworth Island, she tells Virgil to “stop the bullshit,” explaining that she wants to find the weapons there as soon as possible so she can return home.

TWD AMC 5
Images courtesy of AMC

Only Virgil has some other ideas, as he ends up locking Michonne up in a cell after she hears voices behind a wall.

It’s clear that Virgil has snapped and possesses some inner demons of his own, but Michonne doesn’t plan on sticking around much longer.

4

“You were supposed to protect us.”

The opening of the episode flashes back to Michonne’s first episode right before she saves Andrea. Only in the flashback, we see that Michonne decides to walk away, choosing not to save Andrea. This twist makes sense later on when we discover that Virgil has drugged Michonne to make things even more complicated.

TWD AMC 6
Images courtesy of AMC

Virgil tells Michonne not to fight it and she begins to hallucinate. She has a chat with Siddiq and she flashes back to several key moments in the show we all remember so well, showing us what life could have been like for Michonne if she had decided not to save someone.

In this alternate flashback world, Michonne ends up joining Negan and is killed later on by Rick, revealing that every choice we make in our lives does matter. It makes us who we are and even though Michonne is hallucinating, I thought this was extremely powerful and revealing.

3

“Your mercy gives you something.”

After Michonne breaks free, she takes Virgil’s prisoners along with her, who seem to be trustworthy. They knew Virgil before all this happened and fill in some blanks about how he snapped after his family died. Michonne tracks Virgil down and really thinks about killing him, but reminds everyone that if they take his life, they will lose more of themselves.

Michonne’s decision to show Virgil mercy shows us just how far she has come as a character. Michonne could have taken the selfish or easy way out so many times in her life, but every single time she decided to risk it all to save someone, it made her who she is today.

Michonne is still determined to find what she is looking for on the island and Virgil finally agrees to help her.

Seriously, was that so hard, Virgil?

2

“Where the hell did you get these?”

Virgil takes Michonne to a ship that washed up on the island and she begins to go through everything left on board. Michonne is beyond shocked when she finds Rick’s cowboy boots and demands to know where Virgil got them from.

TWD AMC 7
Images courtesy of AMC

She frantically looks through the other items and finds an old cell phone with a chalk drawing of Michonne and Judith on it. Michonne’s reaction was so incredibly moving, now realizing that there is a chance that Rick may still be alive.

Of course this leads to even more questions. How did Rick end up here? Did he mean to leave these as clues or is someone else trying to get Michonne’s attention? Where is Rick? The questions are endless…

TWD AMC 8
Images courtesy of AMC

Michonne decides to head off the island on the ship with the others to try and find Rick, but Virgil stays there. He reminds her that he promised to leave his wife flowers everyday and he can’t leave her behind.

Michonne understands this all too well, realizing that she also has to follow her path and try and find Rick.

1

“I found something that belonged to the brave man.”

As if this wasn’t already an emotional roller coaster of an episode, Michonne radios over to Judith and explains that she found something that belonged to Rick. Judith asks her if he is alive and Michonne explains that she doesn’t know, but Judith wants her to find out, assuring her that Alpha cannot hurt them anymore. Judith wants her mother with her, but she also realizes the importance of Michonne trying to help her dad.

Michonne will be heading north and promises to still check in with Judith and RJ.

At the end of the episode, Michonne comes across people in need of assistance and ultimately decides to help them, remembering how Rick and Carl stopped to help her when she needed it. This will most likely stall Michonne’s discovery of Rick, but I thought it was the perfect scene to truly remind us that Michonne is a selfless hero and has come so far as a character.

Overall, I thought this episode was brilliantly done and the perfect exit and farewell to Danai Gurira. Michonne’s exit from the show gives me hope that she will one day be reunited with Rick and the rest of her family. It’s so often that we say goodbye to some of our favorite characters by watching them die, but this gave us another way, allowing us to truly be at peace with Michonne’s decision.

The flashbacks were so thought-provoking and emotional, giving us a chance to see former characters while providing us with an interesting perspective on Michonne’s own character development.

Farewell, Michonne! We will miss you and hope to see you and Rick soon in TWD future!

Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” Season 10 Episode 12: “Walk With Us”

Happy Sunday TV fans! After watching AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 episode 12, we were reminded that “things don’t always work out the way you want” and sometimes what you desire most of all can lead to your downfall.

Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.

In tonight’s episode, “Walk With Us,” the war is here, as we get a few unexpected casualties. Meanwhile, Negan finally gives Alpha what she wants, leading to the epic ending you have been waiting for.

My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 12 are:

5

“I’ll never walk with her.”

The opening of the episode is beyond intense. There are still flames everywhere as our group defends Hilltop. Lydia refuses to walk with her mother and runs off, but ends up bumping straight into Negan. She is initially relieved to see him, but it looks like he has another agenda up his sleeve. Where does Negan’s loyalty lie? We’re about to find out…

4

“Her hand just slipped out of mine.”

In the midst of all the chaos, Yumiko actually spots an injured Magna in the crowd.

TWD AMC 6
Images courtesy of AMC

Magna was able to survive the cave-in, but says that she lost track of Connie and couldn’t find her. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Connie is dead and I am remaining positive about one of my favorite characters on the show, but I was glad to see that Magna is all right.

Magna and Yumiko take a break from the war to break up, earning some screen time during the episode.

3

“Never!”

After Mary finally gets a chance to hold baby Adam, we witness a sweet moment. It’s good to see family back with family except they are being followed by a hungry horde of walkers. Mary sacrifices everything to protect her nephew and leads the walkers away, taking them out one by one.

TWD AMC 4
Images courtesy of AMC

Only Beta is waiting for her and stabs her, waiting for her to turn so that she can walk with Alpha. Mary’s actions were so brave and I was honestly so upset to see her die after showing so much promise and potential.

After being turned, Alden shoots her with an arrow to prevent her from falling victim to such a cruel fate. Beta runs off again and even takes out one of his own followers to protect his identity.

2

“I can stay here with you.”

Judith has always been so strong and mature, but she certainly grows up a lot after this episode and my heart goes out to her. The plans goes slightly off when Ezekiel is separated from the kids, but Earl gets them to the safe house.

Judith discovers that Earl has been bitten and offers to stay with him so that he does not have to be alone. Earl tells her that he is not alone and tells her not to come out again so that he can stop himself as a threat.

It’s not that easy to stab your own brain as we find out and poor Judith is left to take out undead Earl. Daryl and the others find the kids and they are all safe, but this has clearly taken a toll on Judith and I’m pretty sure that she has gone through more things than any other kid on the planet…ever.

TWD AMC 5
Images courtesy of AMC

Even though this was heartbreaking to watch, I finally felt like Judith got a true moment to shine, channeling Carl quite a bit here.

1

“Took you long enough.”

Negan informs Alpha that he has found the thing she is looking for, leading her off to where he has Lydia held captive. After an interesting Lion King debate, Negan actually reveals quite a bit about his own feelings after his wife died.

Alpha explains that it is Lydia’s destiny to die because she loves her. Lydia has always been Alpha’s weakness and as Lydia breaks free, we discover that she is in a different shack.

Alpha finds her own shack empty and Negan swiftly slashes her throat. He rolls her undead animated head toward Carol, revealing that these two make quite the team.

This was probably one of the best episodes I have seen on the series and I was very satisfied with this outcome. Welcome back to the team, Negan!

So, now that Alpha is dead, what does this mean for the fate of The Whisperers? Is the threat really over or will they take revenge?

Stay tuned! Next week we finally catch up with Michonne!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on TWD in the comments section below. Thank you so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” Season 10 Episode 10: Stalker

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 episode 10, we were reminded that fear can be a powerful motivator. Should we simply let the fear in or do we channel it into something far greater?

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.

In last night’s episode, “Stalker,” Beta shows off just how terrifying he can be, but there are a few characters waiting to take a stab at him. Meanwhile, Daryl and Alpha face off, Gamma and Judith bond, and Rosita confides in Gabriel.

My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 10 are:

5

“I’m trying to help…”

After the incident at the cave, Gamma shows up to speak with Gabriel and Rosita, claiming that she is there to help them.

TWD AMC 4
Images courtesy of AMC

She tells them about her sister’s baby and tries to earn their trust, but Rosita is not buying it for one second, as she decides to punch her in the face and throw her into a cell.

I can’t say I really blame her…

4

“I can feel that Coco is wondering where he is.”

Our girl Rosita gets some well deserved screen time in this episode and takes a minute to confide in Gabriel. While I’m not the biggest fan of Rosita and Gabriel together, it is important for her to talk to someone about her grief.

Rosita realizes that she is not the only one missing Siddiq, wondering how it will impact her child, which just goes to show you how much she has transformed as a character. Rosita has always been such a fierce warrior, but she is now a selfless mother and her fears are becoming all too real, especially when she has a nightmare about Beta trying to hurt Coco.

3

“You don’t look like a monster to me.”

After Gamma is tossed into a cell, Judith takes some time to get to know her. Gamma or Mary begins to fill her in on her past, but starts to realize that Alpha made her forget quite a lot. Clearly, she forgot to mention her amazing role in Hocus Pocus!

Judith thinks that Mary met the wrong person first, explaining that her mother and father would have helped her. She always has a way of seeing the good in everyone, which really shows you how mature she is. Rick would be proud!

2

“Step towards me!”

After Gabriel and the others leave, Beta takes this opportunity to begin slaughtering those left behind. He comes for Gamma and tells her that her death will be painless and quick if she simply steps towards him.

Gamma has a real moment of empowerment and reflection here, as she refuses to do so, explaining that Alpha is always lying. She makes a run for it and Judith helps her out.

In one of the most chilling scenes I have witnessed in a while, Beta walks through the house looking for Gamma and Judith. The music stops and all we hear are crickets chirping, really bringing this “stalker” vibe to life.

TWD AMC 5
Images courtesy of AMC

Judith shoots Beta through the door, but he is wearing bullet proof gear and we also get to witness this incredible fight scene between him and Rosita. The girls were on fire in this episode, refusing to back down for one second and Gamma/Mary has now proven herself worthy.

She tells Beta to step towards her, dismissing all of her past fears in the process. Beta manages to get away unharmed, but I thought that this was the most exciting part of the episode.

More of this please!

1

“Your way is not the only way.”

We also get a fight between Daryl and Alpha during this episode and both of them end up stuck in quite the jam. They are both severely injured, but Daryl takes this time to remind Alpha that she drove Lydia away.

Lydia is still Alpha’s weakness, as she begins to let her true emotions show. Lydia appears and it initially seems like she is hallucinating, but Lydia has truly come back to save Daryl. Yay Lydia!

TWD AMC 6
Images courtesy of AMC

She is unable to kill her mother and somehow Alpha is getting patched up, as we gear up for an epic war between The Whisperers and our group.

Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” Season 10 Episode 9: Cave of Wonders

Happy Monday TV fans! The wait is over and TWD is back! After watching AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 episode 9, we were reminded that we should “fight for our future,” but we “don’t fight for revenge.” Makes sense, but what happens when your need for revenge endangers those around you? Is it still possible to make amends or are some actions unforgivable?

Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.

In last night’s episode, “Squeeze,” we explore a cave sans wonders with the group, as they get into some dangerous jams along the way. Meanwhile, we witness something even more disturbing between Negan and Alpha that still has my skin crawling.

My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 9 are:

5

“We got into this mess together and we’re gonna get out of it together…”

Inspiring words, Daryl, but easier said than done. The episode picks up exactly where we left off, as a group of our characters are trapped in a cave filled with walkers. Daryl refuses to give up hope and keeps everyone moving, but there is danger lurking behind every corner.

TWD AMC 2
Images courtesy of AMC

4

“If I only knew what you told me, I wouldn’t know shit…”

Daryl speaks the truth and that’s why we adore him, but Carol really needs to listen to reason now. I sympathize with everything that Carol is going through, but she ran off by herself and forced everyone into this mess and this should be a wake-up call for her.

Daryl proves just how much he knows Carol, recognizing that she is claustrophobic. He tries to keep her motivated, but there is clearly still a voice in the back of Carol’s head driving her toward revenge.

3

“Go…go…GO!”

The group begins to make their way out of the caves using small tunnels and they certainly all have to “squeeze.” Poor Jerry has a close call when he gets stuck, but surprisingly everyone is able to make it out of this one without a scratch. This certainly gave us some much needed action during the episode.

2

“Your reward…”

Negan gets some screen time during this episode and begins to plant some seeds of doubt within Alpha, suggesting that the traitor may be Gamma. Negan tries to explain that they are the same, but Alpha decides to lead him off away from the rest of the group.

Initially, Negan worries about his fate, but apparently Alpha wants to give him a crass reward. Alpha strips down and instructs Negan to do the same, but keeps her skin mask on.

TWD AMC 3
Images courtesy of AMC

Negan actually kind of digs the mask and I was left with a foul taste in my mouth.

Seriously, gross!

1

“Please say it…”

Oh Carol, if only you had listened to Daryl. After there is a close call with dynamite, (For all you Losties, we almost had an Arzt situation) it looked like everyone was going to make it out of the caves, but of course Carol goes back to take out some of the horde.

Daryl, Connie, and Magda go after her and Connie and Magda end up getting trapped in a cave in. Carol finally breaks down, watching Daryl digging for them and begs him to finally blame her.

So, has Carol finally learned her lesson now that she has potentially harmed Connie and Magda?

Is there another way out of the cave?

TWD AMC 1
Images courtesy of AMC

Let’s hope so because I actually really like both of their characters and it would break my heart to see Daryl lose Connie.

Overall, not too much happened in the mid-season premiere, so I’m hoping that we can pick up the pace in next week’s episode.

Stay tuned!

What are some of YOUR theories?

My performance of the week ending 11/30/19 on TV goes to…

Christian Serratos as Rosita on AMC’s The Walking Dead.

**Nominated by Luke from QuizUp. Thanks Luke!**

When Christian Serratos was first introduced on TWD as Rosita, I thought she was strong-willed and stubborn with a guarded heart.  She was a bad-ass and someone I was always confident in to save the day.

Over the seasons, Rosita has not always gotten the spotlight she deserves, as her character became entangled in some interesting love triangles that seemed more like plot fluff.

When Rosita became a mother, I was really excited because I thought that this might bring us some new layers to her character.  Rosita has this spark within her and I have been waiting for it to light up the screen and it looks like it has finally happened!

**Please note spoilers are ahead if you are not up-to-date on the series.**

Christian Serratos’s performance in season 10 episode 8 was so real and heartbreaking.  Rosita puts the needs of her baby first, but I cannot possibly imagine what she was going through when she had to take down undead Siddiq.

Rosita has always put up a strong front previously and she channels some of her rage by playing Fight Club with the walkers outside the gates.  Rosita loses her cool a few times and ends up needing to be saved by Eugene, which is a wake-up call for her.

Rosita starts to realize that she may die, which never scared her before, but now she wants to be there for Baby Coco.  Rosita now wants to live more than ever and I could almost see the strength emerge within her eyes.  The grief and the heartbreak will still be present, but Rosita understands that she needs to keep fighting for herself and for her child.

We are finally seeing a lot of character development for Rosita, so I hope that this doesn’t mean that we may lose her.  TWD has a tendency to give us these brilliant moments only to brutally rip these characters away from us, but I’m going to continue rooting for Rosita.

She’s strong and resilient, but she is also now finally lifting the guard around her heart to let others in and to truly be there for her child.

What’s next for Rosita?  We’ll have to wait and see, but it looks like a potential romance with fan-favorite, Eugene, may not be too far off anymore.  While I kind of just want Rosita to get away from all of this romantic drama, I know that Eugene selflessly cares for both her and Baby Coco so I’m willing to give this a chance, but I want to see Rosita continue to fight and transform into the warrior I know she can be.

Either way, I am really happy with season 10 so far and part of that is because we are finally getting some worthy character development from characters who have previously taken a back seat in other seasons.

I can’t wait to find out what happens next in the second half of the season and I am beyond excited to witness Rosita’s journey even more!

Stay tuned for a recognized performance on TV each week!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” season 10 episode 8: “I Cannot Die”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 episode 8 mid-season finale, I thought about how Dante said, “We are selfish, we are brutal,” but can you really say that all kindness is gone from humanity?  Our characters are proof that a glimmer of goodness still exists, but let’s hope that glimmer is enough to get them through what comes next.  Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.

In last night’s episode, “The World Before,” Alpha’s plan involving Dante is revealed, as Rosita makes a shocking discovering of her own.  Meanwhile, Carol continues to hunt down leads on Alpha’s horde and Michonne and Judith meet a new stranger.

My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 8 mid-season finale are:

5

“You have a special place among us.”

After the shocking reveal in last week’s episode, we now learn more about Alpha’s plan involving Dante.  Dante was the one who painted “Silence the Whispers,” he tampered with the drinking water, and even smothered poor Cheryl with a pillow.

Alpha wanted to use paranoia to push the group into bad decisions and Dante apparently wants a public reckoning to be heard now, but I’m not sure that our group is willing to listen to anything he has to say…

4

“I cannot die!”

Rosita is the one who discovers what Dante has done, as he tries to attack her as well, but our girl Rosita kicks some serious ass and stabs him.  I felt so bad for her when she had to put down undead Siddiq before he began snacking on poor baby Coco and this event clearly traumatized her.  I can’t say that I blame her.

Rosita finally gets some well deserved screen time during this episode.  For a while now, she has appeared in transitional and filler scenes, but she now steps into the spotlight, going beyond the gates to take out some walkers to channel some of this rage brewing inside of her.

Eugene shows up and saves her, as reality strikes her with the possibility that she can die, which now scares her more than anything because she doesn’t want to leave baby Coco behind.  This moment of vulnerability was truly moving, as it developed Rosita’s character even more.

I thought Rosita showed so much strength and emotion in this episode and I would like to see her channel this in future episodes to really embrace the warrior within.  Perhaps this is the wake-up call she needed and romance may not be off the table for her and Eugene after all…

3

“Do we deserve a second chance?”

Well, apparently Gabriel doesn’t think so.  Gabriel really takes Dante’s betrayal hard and starts studying old video tapes of him, clearing blaming himself for thinking that he was a good person.  This is not the first time we have seen Gabriel face an internal dilemma, but he almost shuts down completely here and even keeps his distance from Rosita, holding on to his guilt.

Gabriel speaks with Dante and decides to go crazy on him, killing him in his cell.  While I understand Gabriel’s actions and motive, I started to wonder if perhaps Alpha’s plan is working, as paranoia and guilt are now conquering the goodness that they have all been working so hard to achieve.

How will this impact Gabriel’s relationship with Rosita?  Will he have doubts about his decision?  We’ll have to wait and see, but it looks like a darkness has emerged within him and I don’t think this is going to be the last time we see him tap into it.

2

“My mercy prevails over my wrath.”

After a fun library adventure with Michonne, Judith, and Luke, they stumble across a stranger who saves Luke and then runs away.  To quote Luke, “Who does that?!”

When they reach Oceanside, they stumble across the stranger again, as Michonne and Judith make an incredible tag team.  We learn that the stranger’s name is Virgil and he claims he is just trying to go home to his family.

He talks about mercy and this clearly strikes a chord with Michonne, remembering that both Siddiq and Rick used to say something similar.  This sparks something within Michonne and she agrees to help Virgil by taking him on a boat back to the island where he lives, Bloodsworth Island.  Apparently, this is some kind of fortified island and he agrees to give Michonne weapons, which would definitely help them create an advantage against The Whisperers.

Michonne tells Judith that she will see her soon and says she can reach out to her on the Walkie whenever she wants, but you have to wonder if this is the set-up for Michonne’s departure on the show?

Perhaps she will find evidence here that Rick is still alive?  Either way, I’m anxious to find out more about this island.  Let’s hope that we can trust Virgil.

1

“You want her dead so bad, you don’t even care what happens to you.”

Carol continues to act first and think later, but Daryl tries to talk some sense into her.  He tells her that he feels like he is talking to a ghost and reminds her that he is the one she should confide in.  Daryl tells her that she has to try and that Alpha isn’t worth it and that they have a future, which was a heartwarming moment to witness.

It seems like Daryl gets through to Carol, but she immediately shifts gears when she spots Alpha across the tree line, running straight for her without thinking once again.

Carol’s need for revenge now endangers the rest of her group, as they all end up trapped in some kind of cave surrounded by Alpha’s walker horde.

In a previous episode, Lydia reminded Carol that her mother thrives on manipulation and that’s exactly what she did here.

Will our characters be able to make it out of here alive?

They are certainly in a dangerous situation, but it looks like Gamma (formerly known as Mary) might be switching sides to help our group.

Overall, I thought this was a solid mid-season finale, but I would have liked to see some screen time for both Negan and Lydia, but it looks like we will be catching up with them more when new episodes return in February!  Stay tuned!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own theories & thoughts on The Walking Dead below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” season 10 episode 7: “Open Your Eyes”

Happy Monday TV fans!  After watching AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 episode 7, Siddiq may have had “miles to go before he sleeps,” but he does still have promises to keep.  The truth can be a dangerous thing, but once all of the pieces are put together, what else will be revealed?  Please note MAJOR spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.

In last night’s episode, “Open Your Eyes,” Siddiq’s flashes finally come together, as we learn the truth behind them.  Meanwhile, Carol attempts to get some answers out of her prisoner and Lydia makes a choice.

My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 7 are:

5

“Alpha drew a line and you need to choose what side you’re on.”

That may be so, but Carol also needs to remember that Lydia is more than a potential weapon against Alpha.  She’s also a person and Daryl reminds her that she’s been through enough.  That being said, Lydia does share some information with Carol about her mother using manipulation as a strategy.

She explains that if The Whisperers see a place like Alexandria, another way to survive will be revealed and it could destroy everything Alpha has worked so hard to put in place for them.

Lydia reminds Carol that “an idea like that is dangerous” and that it could spread.  The idea of hope can spread quicker than any threat or sickness, but will Carol and the others be able to execute this plan effectively?

We’ll have to see how this turns out, but it’s clear that Lydia may be the key to all of this.

4

“He is one of them.”

Our forbidden Romeo and Juliet story continues, as Aaron and Gamma continue to meet together and bond.  Aaron tells Gamma about his daughter and family, but Gamma has trouble opening up about her own sister.

It’s clear that Gamma is having second thoughts, recognizing the potential for goodness through Aaron, but Alpha whips her back into reality.

Although all bets might be off now that Gamma knows that Lydia is alive…

Will Gamma be the one to truly turn the tables on Alpha?  Will Aaron get caught in the crossfire?  I can’t wait to find out, but I think that Gamma’s character has a lot of potential and I’m waiting for her to do something truly significant.

3

“He bleeds until he answers.”

Carol means business, but she decides to first start off with some bread and jam.  After the prisoner spits it back in her face, Carol is not playing nice anymore and shows off her potential skills as a torturer.

Daryl gets in on the action as well, but it looks like the prisoner is going to remain loyal to Alpha until the end, but Carol realizes that exposing that Lydia is alive might get him to talk.

Of course the prisoner dies before this can happen, as Dante tells Siddiq that he packed the wrong bag, which led to his untimely demise.

So much for that…

2

“I choose mine!”

After Carol brings Lydia to the line, revealing her to Gamma, Lydia realizes that Carol has been using her and tells her that she is just like her mother.

She may have a point here, as Carol is just acting without really thinking things through.  Lydia decides to choose her own side and runs off, but where can she really go now?

It’s not like she can go back to her mother, but she’s not exactly safe out in the woods either…

Is she going to look for Negan?  Will he be able to help her now that he is with The Whisperers?

Let’s hope that Daryl and Dog can help find her because Lydia is one of my favorite characters on the show and I would be devastated if we lost her.

1

“Open your eyes…”

This episode was jam-packed with a lot, but the scenes with Siddiq stole the show.  We have been getting bits and pieces of Siddiq’s flashes sprinkled across each episode and they all led to this moment.

The guilt is clearly getting to Siddiq, as he even jumps in the water to find some kind of escape, but Rosita jumps in after him and he finally takes a moment to confide in her.

Siddiq explains that he blames himself for what happened because he simply did nothing and watched his friends die.  Rosita tries to remind him that he has people who truly love him and that he is not alone, which was a touching moment between them.

Toward the end of the episode, Dante goes to see Siddiq to see how he is doing and Siddiq hears a clicking sound Dante is making, which triggers back the missing pieces.

It is revealed that Dante is a Whisperer and he is the one who held Siddiq back and made him watch his friends die.  Siddiq tries to keep his cool with this revelation, but it’s too late, as Dante kills him in a shocking and heartbreaking scene.

Dante seems like he did truly care about Siddiq in some kind of sick and twisted way, but he does what he has to, realizing that Siddiq will expose him.  Siddiq is also the only one who has realized that the water may be making people sick, which is another reason why Dante needs to eliminate him.

RIP Siddiq.

You will be missed!

Now that we know that Dante is an undercover Whisperer, who will be the one to unmask him…or I guess put the mask back on?

Will Rosita be able to get justice for Siddiq’s death?

Overall, this was a shocking and revealing episode.  All of the pieces are coming together now, but let’s hope that Siddiq’s death was not in vain.  Stay tuned for the mid-season finale next week!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Walking Dead” season 10 episode 6: “I’m All In”

Happy Monday TV fans!  During AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 episode 6, Carol reminded Daryl that they seem to “keep paying no matter what side of the line we’re on.”  It looks like both Carol and Negan have decided to take things to the next level and it’s about time!  Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch yet.

In last night’s episode, “Bonds,” Carol and Daryl go out on a mission to “watch, learn, and leave,” but Carol has a plan of her own.  Meanwhile, Negan is tested by Beta, Eugene gets a mysterious call over the radio, and a serious illness starts to spread in Alexandria.

My top 5 moments from The Walking Dead season 10 episode 6 are:

5

“It’s not like that…”

I absolutely love the moments between Carol and Daryl and Carol is not afraid to ask Daryl about what is going on with Connie.  Daryl claims that it’s not like that and Carol asks him why not, explaining that Daryl doesn’t have to be alone anymore.

Even though I have always shipped Caryl together, I recognize that their friendship is something even greater than a chance at romance and I actually really like the moments between Daryl and Connie.  I’m glad that Carol said something here because maybe Daryl needs a push in the right direction!

4

“This is only going to get worse if we’re not ahead of it.”

Everyone seems to be getting really sick in Alexandria, which leads to a “field trip to the infirmary.”  Rosita does not seem to be doing too well and there is definitely a lot of pressure on Siddiq and Dante to figure this all out, but I’m starting to wonder what caused them all to get sick in the first place?

Is this just a really bad bug or is something else causing everyone to get sick here?

This is also leading to some more panic moments for Siddiq and it looks like we might get to fully understand what is happening with him in next week’s episode.

Did Siddiq kill for Alpha?  I can’t wait to find out, but he needs to stop having these episodes when he is holding poor baby Coco!

3

“Just you and me.”

Is Eugene finally going to get his chance at romance or did he just open the channel to an even greater threat?

I’m not sure, but it’s clear that Eugene and this mysterious woman are forming some kind of connection already.  The woman seems to appreciate Eugene’s quirkiness and we learn that she is from Pennsylvania, but we really don’t know anything else about her.

The woman is worried that Eugene could be a threat, but he tries to convince her that it is safe to talk to him.  She asks him to keep this between the two of them, which was another red flag for me.

Eugene better watch his back because I’m not sure that we can trust who is on the other line just yet…

2

“Did you plan this?”

After Daryl decides to tag along with Carol on her mission, he quickly discovers that she is not really looking for Negan and is trying to find Alpha’s horde instead.  Daryl and Carol actually have some luck here, but Daryl worries that their actions will have consequences.

Carol reminds him that they have already lost so much and she’s absolutely right, but you have to wonder if Carol is really thinking everything through or if her quest for revenge is blocking out some of her better judgment?

Daryl and Carol end up in a very dangerous situation, but Carol ends up taking back a Whisperer prisoner.  Daryl asks her if this was her plan all along, but it’s clear that Carol has just made a big move here and we’ll  have to see if it was the right call.

1

“I ain’t going anywhere!”

Even though I adored the moments between Carol and Daryl, once again, Negan stole the show for me.  His interactions with “Beta with benefits” were beyond hilarious.  Beta warns Alpha that Negan cannot be trusted and reminds her that he is too loud.

Negan claims that he can spill all of the secrets he has collected from their enemy, which would definitely come in handy, but it seems like Beta is more threatened by Negan than Alpha is.

After being tested and surrounded by walkers, Negan survives and I can’t say that I’m really surprised.  The big bad wolf is not going anywhere and he does take a knee to pledge himself to Alpha, claiming that he is all in.

I still think this is one hell of a long con and I feel like Negan and Carol are about to turn the tables on The Whisperers without them even realizing it, but you never know what’s up Negan’s sleeve.  Stay tuned!

I hope you enjoyed the list and feel free to post your own theories & thoughts on The Walking Dead below in the comments section.  Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!
