Ranking the top 5 moments from “Younger” season 5 episode 12 Season Finale: “I Think There’s Another Way”

Happy Wednesday TV fans! After watching TV Land’s Younger season 5 episode 12 season finale, I realized that Charles got it absolutely right when he said that “you can’t make an omelette without breaking some eggs.” This basically means that it’s difficult to achieve something truly significant without causing some unpleasant effects along the way. But is it worth it in the end? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out, but it looks like some of our characters may be paving the way for their very own happy ending. Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In last night’s episode, “Lizability,” Liza takes the next steps to accept Cheryl’s offer, but starts to have second thoughts when she hears what is going on at Empirical. Meanwhile, Kelsey learns the truth about Zane’s actions, Josh goes on a spiritual journey with Lauren’s help to find out if he is ready for fatherhood, and Diana has second thoughts about her relationship with Enzo. My top 5 moments from Younger season 5 episode 12 season finale are:

“It’s not going to end well.”

In the beginning of the episode, Liza takes a tour with Cheryl at her potential new place of work and discovers that she would be running her own imprint called “Chick(y).” Don’t forget the “y” in parentheses, which symbolizes that they are not entirely excluding the male gender. While the name of the imprint leaves something to be desired, Liza starts to see all of the benefits of leaving her current job, especially when she sees the salary offer. While it would be great for Liza to start over and not have to lie anymore, things get a little more complicated when she finds out that Quinn is planning on investing in Empirical, but making Millennial the primary focus, which would be a huge opportunity for both Kelsey and Liza. Liza tries to warn Kelsey and Charles that she is a liability and a “ticking time bomb,” but it’s clear that she is having second thoughts about leaving as well.

“I told you it was dangerous.”

Everything has been going somewhat smoothly between Diana and Enzo, but Enzo gets upset when Diana laughs at his new opportunity, which involves working on a “Fatberg,” which is basically a huge lump of sewage. Sure it sounds absolutely disgusting, but Enzo is clearly very excited about his new opportunity and is hurt when Diana makes light of it. Diana confides in Liza about the argument and points out that “two things I am not are 1: sweet and 2: compatible with a plumber.” While Diana may have a point, Liza reminds her about what’s more important when she says, “who cares what he does if the feelings are there?” Later in the episode, it is broadcasted on the news that Enzo is trapped while working on the “fatberg” and Diana leaves everything to be there. When Enzo is finally retrieved, Diana rushes over to him to embrace him and is finally all in…sewage and all. While Enzo definitely needs a shower at this point, Diana proves that she wants to be with Enzo just as he is, which is a huge step for her.

“Because I was in love with you.”

Kelsey is shocked to find out that Jake doesn’t want her in Washington D.C. at his party and Charles explains the reasoning. After Kelsey admits to having a “moment” with Jake, Charles points out that Zane was the one who refused to take over the book. Kelsey later confronts Zane about this, asking him why he would do this, not believing that it was just because he didn’t want his name on a book he didn’t edit. The truth finally comes out when Zane admits that it was “because I was in love with you,” completely shocking Kelsey. While Kelsey does not reveal her feelings to Zane just yet, things are about to change even further when Zane quits. Kelsey rushes toward him in the elevator and realizes that he already has a new job offer, explaining that he could never work for Kelsey. With Zane’s departure, is this the end of the blossoming relationship between him and Kelsey? Will Kelsey finally be able to tell Zane how she truly feels? We’ll have to stay tuned for next season, but I really hope that these two can finally get the chance to be together.

“Did you get your answer?”

Maggie approaches Josh about considering Malky’s offer about using his sperm for the baby, even though she is not ready to be a parent yet. Josh actually really considers it and in a sweet moment, he tells Maggie that he would have done it for her. Josh enlists the help of Lauren to find out if he is ready for this and she pulls out all the stops by creating a ritual for him to meditate and call on “Mother Cacao.” In a dream, Josh sees himself with a baby, but he has Liza right by his side. While we don’t know if a relationship is in the cards yet for Liza and Josh, this helps Josh realize that he wants to raise his own child and he would not be able to go through with what Malky is asking. However, it’s clear that “Mother Cacao” has other plans when Josh’s ex, Claire, shows up at his door…extremely pregnant. Perhaps Josh will get the chance to try out fatherhood after all, but why did Claire wait so long to tell him? We’ll have to wait and see what happens next, but I have so many questions already.

“I’m happy.”

Liza is still not sure what to do yet and she ends up telling Quinn about her real age and the lie. Liza ultimately turns down Cheryl’s offer, hoping she made the right decision. Quinn is confident that she can spin Liza’s age to her advantage, but Cheryl threatens to leak a photo of Liza and Charles and Quinn recognizes that she can’t afford the liability of a scandalous affair like this. Charles thinks that there is another way and announces that Kelsey will be the new publisher and that he will be the chairman of the board. While this is presented as a promotion, Liza learns from Diana that this basically means that they are putting Charles “out to pasture.” Liza confronts Charles about his decision, understanding that this company was his life. Charles explains that, “Maybe it’s time for a new one…with you.” The freedom would give Charles the chance to explore a real relationship with Liza and he would have more time for his kids as well. Even though his father’s company is important to him, he did help ultimately save it and is ready for the next chapter of his life. First chapter: holding hands with Liza in public. The two share a sweet kiss and Liza confidently takes Charles’s hand, as the fantasy has now truly become a reality. It’s about time! Team Charles fans rejoice!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “Younger” season 5 episode 11: “There Has To Be Another Way”

Happy Wednesday TV fans! After watching TV Land’s Younger season 5 episode 11, I realized that sometimes we need to recognize a way out of a fantasy before it is too late and reality strikes. We may want to hold on to it for just a little while longer, but we need to accept when we have come to the end of the road…even if it is a “beautiful, beautiful road.” Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In last night’s episode, “Fraudlein,” Millennial and Empirical Press head to Frankfurt, Germany and are in for some unexpected surprises. Meanwhile, Liza tries to stick to her decision about Charles, Kelsey realizes she may have misjudged Zane, and Diana steals the spotlight. My top 5 moments from Younger season 5 episode 11 are:

“Do you know how much sperm costs?”

While everyone else is off in Frankfurt, Maggie and Malky host a dinner for Josh and Lauren to make up for the disaster last time, but the drama is far from over when Malky explains that she is ready to have a child, blind sighting Maggie. Malky starts talking to Josh about potentially using his sperm for the child and Maggie is not ready yet for this conversation. While it seemed like Maggie and Malky were off to a good start, there is clearly a lot they need to discuss since they are both not on the same page.

“That is a Frankfurt freebie.”

When everyone goes out for drinks in Frankfurt, Diana and Cheryl Sussman steal the show when they appear on stage and give us a delightful cabaret performance. Everyone is thoroughly entertained until Cheryl takes it a step too far and gives Charles a “Frankfurt freebie.” Poor Charles makes the innocent mistake of asking Cheryl what that is, as she plants a big kiss on his lips, causing him to leave the party. While I felt bad for Charles, this moment was absolutely hilarious and I have to say that Diana and Cheryl make quite the team.

“I might have misjudged Zane.”

While everyone is out, Kelsey has a little bit too much to drink and a stranger begins coming on to her a little too strongly. Zane steps in to protect her and ends up punching the guy in the face and escorting Kelsey to bed. Zane proves to be a perfect gentlemen and Kelsey realizes that she might have completely misjudged him. It’s about time Kelsey! While Zane had good intentions, he later realizes that the man he punched in the face is his potential new client. Zane awkwardly apologizes to him, but it’s safe to say he may not be landing this new deal. Let’s hope that he can get the girl; however, as I have been anxiously waiting for him and Kelsey to realize that they are absolutely perfect for one another. Swoon!

“Consider yourself fired.”

While Charles respects Liza’s decision to put things on pause for the moment, they both find it extremely difficult to stick with this decision, especially when Liza shows up at Charles’s hotel room. Charles tells Liza, “I can’t promise I won’t try to kiss you,” and Liza passionately kisses him in the doorway. Earlier in the episode, Cheryl Sussman approached Liza about working for her at Plaza and reminded her that she would no longer need to lie about her age. Liza has been dodging bullets left and right with this lie and it’s only a matter of time before the truth comes crashing down on her, which would impact Charles and Kelsey too. Liza discusses it all with Charles and they both agree that it is for the best. Liza accepts the job offer, but can Liza really trust Cheryl? After all, she has now discovered the relationship between Liza and Charles. Will she use this information to her advantage? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out.

“We’ve come to the end of this road.”

Now that Liza has made the decision to take the job at Plaza, she fills Kelsey in on the plan. Kelsey is beyond crushed and tells Liza, “There has to be another way,” in the middle of tears. Liza and Kelsey hug, continuing to stick by each other’s side, but is this really the end for our favorite duo in publishing? We know that Liza and Kelsey have a beautiful and strong friendship, but will Millennial be able to survive without Liza? How will everyone else react to the news of Liza’s departure? Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 5 episode 13 Season Finale: “I Hope We Do Better There”

Happy Wednesday TV fans! After watching the CW’s The 100 season 5 episode 13, I realized that sometimes all it takes is a simple life with the person we love most in the world. The days may seem routine, but they are never unfulfilling because each day is filled with hope and joy. We may sometimes feel like we need to search for something more or bigger, but perhaps what we need most is right in front of us and has been all along. Please note major spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In last night’s episode, “Damocles – Part Two,” Madi attempts to lead her people to victory with the help of Echo, Bellamy, and a surprising ally. Meanwhile, Clarke enlists the help of Diyoza to stop McCreary, Shaw is tortured in front of Raven, and Abby desperately tries to save Marcus’s life. My top 5 moments from The 100 season 5 episode 13 Season Finale are:

“I’m saving the man that I love.”

War always has casualties and I was very worried about the fate of some of our beloved characters. After John Murphy is injured, he tells the others to leave him behind since they only have nine minutes to get to the transport ship before the missile, Damocles, hits the valley. Thanks a lot McCreary. Emori is no longer hiding her feelings for John at this point, as she tells him, “There’s no way in hell I’m going to leave the man I love behind.” Monty agrees to carry Murphy and they really wait until the last possible second to get to the ship, but luckily they are all OK for now. Meanwhile, Abby also refuses to leave the love of her life behind. Octavia confronts Abby and agrees to help her, as she gathers people to carry Marcus on a stretcher to the ship. Octavia and Abby may never be able to fully forgive each other, but Octavia helps Abby in this crucial moment. While we know that Marcus’s injuries are bad, we will have to wait to determine his fate after “Cryosleep.”

“It’s the kiss of death.”

Octavia and Diyoza are left out of the meeting to figure out how to save everyone and Diyoza breaks the ice by telling Octavia, “Cheer up. I wasn’t invited either.” Both of these women were strong leaders, but they each had their flaws. Diyoza points out to Octavia that her “mistake was liking it. Power. It’s the kiss of death.” Octavia doesn’t disagree and comes to the realization that the valley probably wouldn’t have worked out after all. She says, “One Garden, two serpents…Eden never stood a chance,” and she is right. While we never got the chance to see if they could all co-exist in the valley, war can destroy everything. Perhaps the best thing that could have happened was for each of these leaders to step down. We know that they are strong, capable, and fearless, but it looks like we are in for quite the change.

“Break the cycle.”

Madi is initially nervous about accepting the large responsibility of being the Commander, but she recognizes that it is something she cannot run away from. When she first appears, someone cries out, “Heda is going to save us,” and surprisingly Octavia is the first person to bow down to her. This moment is extremely important, as Octavia finally accepts that it is time to let go and pass the torch. Her time is over and she puts her full trust and faith in Madi to lead her people to victory. With Gaia’s help, Madi taps into the minds of the other Commanders to figure out what to do and comes up with a plan to save her people. When the enemy surrenders, Madi initially wants to have them executed, but Bellamy steps in and explains, “You can be better than them. You can be better than us. The choice is yours Heda.” Madi makes the courageous decision to break the cycle and understands the importance of saving them so that they can prove they deserve to be saved. Bellamy’s wise words really resonate with Madi and it looks like she has a trusted adviser by her side. Madi has a huge responsibility once everyone wakes up from Cryosleep; however, but luckily she has Bellamy and Clarke to help her.

“She called you on the radio everyday for six years.”

Madi reminds Bellamy that he needs to forgive Clarke, but Bellamy is still clearly upset about Clarke leaving him in the fighting pits and has every right to be. Madi sheds some light on Clarke’s real feelings for Bellamy; however, and tells him about her talking to him on the radio everyday, which is a moment I have been waiting for all season. When the ship is about to close, Clarke begs Bellamy to get on board before it’s too late, but Bellamy refuses to leave his friends behind, as Murphy and the others have still not arrived. He tells her, “I can’t do that again,” clearly still feeling remorse about leaving Clarke behind after “Praimfaya.” Once everyone gets on board safely with barely a second to spare, Clarke asks Bellamy why he is not mad at her and he says, “The commander ordered me not to be,” in a heartwarming moment. While we know that Echo is still in the picture, Bellamy finally learns how Clarke feels about him, which is important. Clarke is always trying to be brave and strong for everyone else and often locks away her own feelings and desires to do what is right, but her feelings for Bellamy are real and true. I’m looking forward to seeing this explored more next season and I hope these two finally get the chance to be together because they deserve it.

“I hope we do better there…may we meet again.”

So one of the reasons why I love this show so much is because each season finale provides the audience with a twist you never see coming. I remember being shocked every single season and season 5 was no different. After everyone realizes that they must go into “Cryosleep” for ten years to survive, it seems like we are merely going to flash forward to the future. However, I almost fell out of my chair when Monty and Harper’s teenage son, Jordan, wakes up Clarke and Bellamy. Clarke and Bellamy ask “why is it just us” and learn that Monty and Harper stayed behind on the ship and didn’t go to sleep. They left a video message for them, which walks them through everything they have done together over the years. It has been 125 years and Clarke and Bellamy learn that earth is not survivable anymore. Monty spent his entire life trying to find another way to save his friends and discovered another planet with two suns. Monty explains that they chose this life and asks Clarke and Bellamy to take care of their boy. He has the middle name “Jasper” and Monty told him all about his friends and Murphy is surprisingly his favorite, which lightens up the mood. In Monty’s final moments, he has aged quite a bit and tragically explains that Harper passed away. He holds on to a glimmer of hope that they can do better here and tells them “may we meet again.” Monty finally got to live the simple life he always wanted to even though it may not have been exactly what he had in mind. He enjoyed every single second with Harper and his child and put all of his energy into finding a “plan b” to save his friends. Monty has always flown under the radar, but he is a true hero and has saved them all. The end of the season finale shows Clarke and Bellamy looking out on the new planet, not knowing what to expect. We don’t know anything about this planet and it looks like we are in for quite the adventure. Stay tuned and I know that we will meet again!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Affair” season 4 episode 8: “We Need to Know that it’s the Real Her”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching Showtime’s The Affair last night, I realized that sometimes you spend so much time being strong for everyone else, that you almost forget to take a moment to let the grief and pain in. Even if it is just for a moment, sometimes you need to allow all of your feelings to rush straight to the surface. Whether this leads to crying or yelling, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you take the time to allow yourself to dive into your own feelings. This doesn’t make you weak or selfish. It just makes you human and it’s important that we process our feelings every now and again. Please note major spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In last night’s episode, “408,” Cole, Noah, and Anton set out to find Alison and solve this mystery once and for all. While these three bond along the way, nothing can prepare them for the discovery they are about to make. My top 5 moments from The Affair season 4 episode 8 are:

“I want you to understand the hole that you left in her life.”

Part one of the episode is from Cole’s perspective and he teams up with Noah and Anton to find Alison. After speaking to Alison’s mother, Athena, Cole learns about Alison’s father and decides to pay him a visit. Noah insists that they take a polite approach so that they open up to them, but Cole cannot sit there and listen to Alison’s father judge her, especially when he talks about her “episodes.” Cole reminds him that he hasn’t been there for her entire life and that he doesn’t know anything about Alison. Cole refuses to let Alison’s father take advantage of her, remembering how Alison always felt like it was her fault that her father wasn’t around. I have to say that I was also rooting for Cole in this moment, as it seems like her father was only out to use Alison, but we will need to wait and see if there is more to the story.

“What are you two doing together?”

So I never thought that I would see Noah and Cole working together on anything, but their love for Alison brought them together. Anton added some comic relief as well, which gave the episode a lighter feel at first. Even though the episode takes a dramatic twist, it was hilarious to see both Noah and Cole point out what works for the other in terms of getting women. While Noah refers to Cole as a “classic moper,” Cole takes things further when he explains that Noah will make promises that he can’t keep. Anton refuses to let them ruin the mood and schools them both when he “sexiles” Noah from the hotel room after he meets up with the owner’s daughter. After barely escaping another disaster when her father pounds on the door, these three enjoy some male bonding, which helps keep their minds off the inevitable…at least temporarily.

“We need to know that it’s the real her…you do it.”

Cole and Noah are shocked when they find out that a body has been discovered. Cole is barely able to process his own grief and refuses to look at the pictures to identify Alison’s body. He wants to be brought to her actual body, but is warned that she drowned and was left underwater for several days. When they finally approach the room, Cole cannot handle this and Noah courageously offers to identify her. Cole’s reaction to Noah’s confirmation is beyond heartbreaking. I have to admit that I was hoping that it would not be Alison and that we still had a mystery to unfold, but there is still more to the story. Even though Cole cannot stand Noah, he genuinely appreciates that he was able to do this for him, as they are both connected forever to the memory of the woman they both loved so much.

“I don’t buy it.”

After receiving the heartbreaking news that Alison is dead, Cole refuses to believe that it is a suicide. I have to say I agree with Cole, as it’s unlikely that Alison would leave Joanie especially when it seemed like she was finally getting her life back into some type of order. While Cole tries to blame Ben, he has an alibi and explains that Alison broke up with him. Cole is still not buying it, but I am starting to think that perhaps her father or his new wife had something to do with it. We know that Alison was not about to hand her kidney over, especially after Athena tells her that she was raped by him. Is it possible that they tried to take matters into their own hands? While I’m not certain that this is true, it seems like Alison had such a great conversation with Helen and was finally ready to start changing her narrative. So what changed when she returned from California?

Part two: Noah.

I was surprised to see “Part Two” pop up on the screen, as the episode was almost over at this point. There was so much going on that I almost forgot that the show was divided into separate parts. However, this part was absolutely necessary and extremely moving. The majority of the episode focuses so much on Cole’s own grief, as he desperately tries to find out what happened to Alison. Noah was strong for Cole the entire time, but when he goes to the diner with Anton, he finally has a moment to himself. Noah sees a woman in a waitress uniform that resembles Alison and all of his memories and feelings come rushing back. When Anton goes to the restroom, Noah begins quietly sobbing at the table and I was crying right along with him. While Noah may have confessed to Cole that his relationship with Alison was over, that doesn’t mean that he didn’t have something real with her. The two of them shared a connection for many years and he clearly cared for Alison very much. Noah did his part for Cole, but in this quiet and temporary moment, he is able to finally release his grief. This moment was heartbreaking and I empathized with Noah completely. Will Noah be able to pick up the pieces now that Alison is gone? Will we finally find out what happened to her? Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 5 episode 12: “I Loved Her So Much But It’s Nothing Compared To How Much I Love You”

Happy Thursday TV fans! After watching the CW’s The 100 season 5 episode 12, I learned that sometimes we need to own up to our mistakes and do what is necessary to make things right. While we may not be able to fix everything with a good deed, the willingness to make a sacrifice to save a life should not go unnoticed. It may seem impossible to achieve, but it’s never too late to start trying to fix what may seem to be eternally broken. Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In Tuesday night’s episode, “Damocles – Part One,” war is finally here and Octavia marches Wonkru into a battle they are not prepared for. Meanwhile, Clarke and Octavia attempt to tip the scale with their actions, Vincent brutally attacks Kane, and Echo does everything in her power to save Bellamy. My top 5 moments from The 100 season 5 episode 12 are:

“It’s time to end this so both our children can live happily ever after.”

War is here and McCreary will stop at nothing to obtain all of the power for himself. Echo and the others recognize that Bellamy is in some serious trouble along with the rest of Wonkru and understand that perhaps they need their true Commander to lead them through before it’s too late. It seems like McCreary is always lurking behind a corner with perfect timing to thwart everyone’s plan. Once again, Raven and Shaw have been captured, which seems to be a pretty normal occurrence for these two. Clarke saves Echo’s life and explains to McCreary that they need her, proving once again that she can think quickly on her feet. We know that McCreary will continue to be a threat to everyone, but who will be the one to take him down for good? Will Diyoza really be able to stop the father of her child before it’s too late?

“So much for surrender.”

When Octavia marches her people into battle, McCreary’s men are beyond ready for them and begin surrounding them and taking out her people left and right. Gaia is hanging on by a thread and Bellamy reminds Octavia, “You led them here. These people are dead because of you.” While it’s clear that Bellamy still blames Octavia for everything, he now realizes that surrender is not an option. When several members of Wonkru call out that they give up, they are gunned down just the same, forcing Octavia to finally realize that she has now completely broken Wonkru. Will her people ever trust her again?

“Now you care about Bellamy?”

I have been waiting for an encounter all season between Clarke and Echo that really boils down to who should be with Bellamy. I have always been a Bellarke fan, but Echo has been good for Bellamy and clearly cares for him deeply. Echo is angry at Clarke for betraying him and reminds her that he is still alive. Clarke tries to tell her that she always cared, but Echo seems doubtful. While these two have bigger problems to face right now, the underlying tension here cannot be ignored, as Echo is no fool and must know that Bellamy does care for Clarke. Who will he ultimately choose? I’m not sure this will be resolved this season, but we’ll have to stay tuned to find out.

“My brother, my responsibility.”

After reality finally hits home with Octavia, she feels responsible for the defeat of her people. Gaia is injured badly and she is hiding with her brother and Indra. Octavia recognizes that she must make the ultimate sacrifice in order to help them get away safely. In a courageous moment, Octavia begins shooting at the enemy and screaming, “You are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru,” just in case anyone has forgotten their slogan. For a moment I thought that this was it for our girl Octavia and that “Blodreina” would finally fall, but Echo and the others show up with perfect timing to save the day and get them out of there. However, Octavia’s actions should not go unnoticed, as she was more than willing to give up her own life to save her brother’s. Will Bellamy finally be able to forgive her?

“I love her so much but it’s nothing compared to how much I love you.”

The greatest moment of part one of the season finale belongs to Clarke and Madi. Clarke realizes that she cannot stand in Madi’s way and that she has to let her embrace her destiny. However, that doesn’t mean that she won’t do whatever it takes to keep her safe. We know that Clarke fears losing Madi just like she lost Lexa, but Madi reminds Clarke, “She’s not a ghost. She’s real. Betraying you is her deepest regret. She doesn’t want you to make the same mistake.” Madi tells Clarke that “life should be about more than just surviving” and she is absolutely right. Clarke understands that she must stay behind and that Echo will be by Madi’s side to help her. Madi doesn’t want to do this alone, but Clarke tells her, “You will always have me. This is how I protect you.” In a heartwarming moment, she reveals to Madi that she is the one who saved her. Madi fears that they may never see each other again, but Clarke tells her that, “I’m the Commander of death and I say we will meet again.” This moment is truly beautiful and probably my absolute favorite one of the season so far. Clarke has done everything in her power to keep her daughter safe and finally empathizes with everything her own mother has had to do. She knows that Madi is more than capable of being a strong Commander and she is finally ready to let her embrace her calling, trusting that Madi is strong, powerful, and capable. While her love for Lexa will never fade, Madi taught her about true and unconditional love. At the end of part one of the season finale, there are so many questions still unanswered. What will Clarke do to save everyone? Will Raven really end Shaw’s life? Will Marcus survive? Stay tuned for the epic conclusion of the season finale next week!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 5 episode 11: “She Bore It So That They Didn’t Have To”

Happy Thursday TV fans! After watching the CW’s The 100 season 5 episode 11, I learned that things aren’t always how they seem. You may think you know why someone does what they do, but until all of the pieces of the puzzle come together, it’s impossible for you to put yourself in their shoes. Would you do any differently? Would you understand what is at stake for survival? Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In Tuesday night’s episode, “The Dark Year,” Clarke desperately tries to save her mother’s life and learns the truth about what Wonkru had to endure. Meanwhile, Shaw tries to protect Raven, Marcus discusses next steps with Diyoza, and Madi lectures Clarke on what it means to be a hero. My top 5 moments from The 100 season 5 episode 11 are:

“I’ll give you 24 hours to get her operating again.”

After Clarke saves Abby’s life, she is horrified to learn that she is addicted to pills and recognizes that if she takes anymore, she could die. McCreary discovers Clarke and Madi and tells her that she needs to have her mother up and running again or “you both get to watch your daughters die.” Clarke understands that it’s not just her life being threatened and takes the necessary steps to help her mother, but Madi reminds her that she is fighting on the wrong side of the war. Clarke forms an unpopular alliance with McCreary, recognizing that they both want the same thing. She tries to explain this to Madi, but Madi reminds her about what it means to lead and fight with honor.

“I’m not fighting for you.”

Octavia begins to march Wonkru off to war and Bellamy reminds her that she is “marching us into a massacre” and killing her own people. He talks about the importance of winning the war the right way and making a deal with Diyoza so that they can all share the valley peacefully. Octavia listens to what Bellamy has to say, but it’s clear that she is only focused on one outcome…winning. She thanks Bellamy for fighting for her and he harshly reminds her, “I’m not fighting for you. I’m fighting to get back to my family.” Octavia has always been Bellamy’s family and these words clearly impact her, but she keeps going, realizing that there is no turning back now.

“I’m not mad at you for saving my life. I’m mad at you for making me care about yours.”

Shaw refuses to stay behind and is willing to help Raven and her friends no matter what. Raven reminds him that if he is captured, he can endanger everyone, but Shaw is willing to take that chance to protect her. Shaw shows up with perfect timing to help save the day and everyone is grateful except for Raven. When he later confronts her about it, he tells her, “Maybe you should forgive me for saving your life.” In an impulsive and passionate moment, Raven says, “I’m not mad at you for saving my life. I’m mad at you for making me care about yours,” and the two share the kiss we have all been waiting for. The tension between these two has finally been explored and I’m looking forward to see what’s next for them. However, I still see romantic sparks between Raven and Murphy, but with Emori still in the picture, I’m not sure that we can expect to see anything happen here just yet.

“I won’t let the devil in this garden.”

When Marcus speaks to Diyoza about how this war will end, they both realize that a peaceful resolution seems out of the question now. McCreary and Octavia are both dangerous leaders, but Marcus tries to figure out which option is potentially better when he asks, “How do you choose between a monster and the devil?” Later in the episode, Marcus agrees to help McCreary, reminding everyone that he doesn’t want to let Octavia in this garden, revealing that he thinks that she is the greater threat. Marcus has spent years with Octavia and witnessed what her leadership has done to humanity. He is not about to just stand by and watch this again, hoping that he will have better luck with McCreary. Is he making the right choice or is there another way out of this?

“She bore it so that they didn’t have to…just like you.”

In this episode, we finally get a glimpse into “The Dark Year” and truly learn and understand what Wonkru had to go through to survive. While the fighting pits seemed brutal and violent, I never realized their true purpose until Tuesday night’s episode and I have to admit that my stomach is still turning. Abby’s addiction clearly escalated because of her role in all of this, as she reveals to Clarke what they had to do to survive. “All of me for all of us,” took on a new meaning, as we learned that Wonkru was eating the meat of the people who lost in the arena. While some recognized that this was necessary to survive, others refused to resort to cannibalism and took a stand, including Marcus. Even Octavia felt that she could not force her people to do this, but Abby explained to her that it was the only real way to survive and told Octavia that she needed to take away their choice. In a horrific and heartbreaking moment, Octavia points a gun at a man who refused to eat because his brother died in the arena. She shoots and kills him to make her point and continues to do so, telling everyone that they must eat or die. After enough people died, Marcus stood up and said he would eat, swaying everyone else. After hearing Abby’s part in this and what Octavia had to convince her people to do in order to survive, Clarke is horrified, but Madi reminds her that Octavia did what Clarke did at Mount Weather. Even though Clarke says she never was a hero, Madi tells her that she is ashamed of her, searching for the Clarke who risked everything over and over again to protect her people. Will Clarke be able to find the hero within? Will Abby ever be able to truly redeem herself? Will Octavia ever be able to live with herself after all she has taken on to protect her people? Ranking the top 5 moments from “Younger” season 5 episode 7: “I Don’t Care Anymore”

Happy Wednesday TV fans! After watching TV Land’s Younger season 5 episode 7 last night, I was pleased to learn that many families have quirky holiday traditions. I mean not everyone gets up in front of a party to yodel to a song from “The Sound of Music,” especially when your boss walks in to get a glimpse of the show, but it’s all in good fun. Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In last night’s episode, “A Christmas Miracle,” Liza tries to make her daughter’s holiday a special one and is willing to tough out a night with her ex-husband to do so, only an unexpected guest shakes things up quite a bit. Meanwhile, Diana continues to be surprised by Enzo, Maggie refuses to compromise herself, and Kelsey continues to struggle with balancing her feelings for Jake and Zane. My top 5 moments from Younger season 5 episode 7 are:

“It’s so full. It’s so many pine needles.”

Diana and Enzo’s relationship is continuing to blossom and Enzo decides to show up at her doorstep with a large Christmas tree. Diana is not too sure that it will really go with her decor and seems worried about the impact it may have on her carpet, but Enzo proves he can deal with Diana’s antics and then some. He sets up the tree for her and lights it up and even gets her to change her tune a little bit, which shows how much these two truly care for each other. Enzo is really making Diana happy and she is willing to break out of her comfort zone for him, which may be just what she really needs.

“I didn’t make all this work for it to be buried in the artistic sunken place.”

Maggie is beyond excited that all of her artwork has been purchased by a wealthy couple and they continue to spoil her with gifts and attention. While it seems harmless at first, Maggie quickly realizes that the bracelets she received are basically like “golden handcuffs,” and that she will be required to go on vacations with them and fit into their lifestyle whenever they want. While Maggie appreciates the money and the opportunity, she is not about to stifle her artistic persona in order to fit into some kind of cookie cutter mold of forgotten artists and she tells the couple exactly what she thinks to their shock and disappointment. Maggie never ceases to amaze me, as she refuses to compromise herself in any situation.

“Can I have one secret?”

In this episode, Kelsey continues to struggle with seeing both Jake and Zane. Things get beyond complicated when they show up at the office party and Zane kisses Kelsey in front of people. Jake notices this from afar and takes this opportunity to approach Charles and request that only Kelsey work on his book from now on. Zane is beyond upset, but realizes that he should have seen this coming, seeing right through Jake’s act. He says, “The author gets what the author wants,” and is really hitting closer to home with this statement than he realizes. It seems like Jake is willing to play dirty to get Kelsey all to himself, but is this really the right person for her? Zane’s feelings for Kelsey are real and passionate and I would hate to see him hurt when he finds out the truth about Kelsey and Jake. Will she make the right decision before it is too late?

“Don’t give up on her.”

Caitlin and Maggie are shocked when Josh stops by before leaving to see his family and gives Liza a holiday gift. She also gives him one as well and it’s clear that the “just friends” vibe is crossing a line. Caitlin tries to tell her mother that Josh still loves her, but she dismisses it. Later in the episode, Caitlin bumps into Josh and tells him, “You’re the best thing to happen to her in a long time…don’t give up on her.” This causes Josh to stop and think for a moment and it seems like Caitlin may have lit a spark that might not be ready to burn again, especially when we know that Charles is waiting in the wings. Will this conversation further complicate things between Liza and Josh?

“I don’t care anymore.”

After Caitlin begs Liza to perform to “The Sound of Music” in front of the holiday party, Liza eventually gives in to make her daughter happy, but is shocked when Charles walks through the door. Charles is told that Liza is the woman that the hosts wanted to set him up with to make things even more awkward. Charles plays along and pretends that this is the first time he is meeting Liza and is delighted to also meet her daughter, now learning that everything Liza did was for her. When asked what he thinks of Liza, he comments, “She is definitely interesting.” Sparks continue to fly between these two at the office and Liza is shocked when she gets a very large Christmas bonus from Charles. After she goes to confront him about it, she discovers that he has already left, but Charles has a change of heart when he sees a promotion for “The Sound of Music” in the taxi. I have to admit that when Liza returned home and found Charles standing on her doorstep, I was squealing with joy. Charles simply tells her, “I don’t care anymore” and the two begin kissing. The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here and it seems like Team Charles is finally getting the chance it deserves. Now that is a “Christmas Miracle!” Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Affair” season 4 episode 6: “What If You Change The Narrative?”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching Showtime’s The Affair last night, I thought about the idea that it’s easier to confide in a stranger than it is to your best friend or loved one and I started to wonder why that is. Is it because we are afraid to let our loved ones see the inner turmoil stirring around inside of us? Is it because we don’t want to taint their image of us or is it because we need to hear the raw and simple truth? Either way, we sometimes get the best advice from someone on the outside, but what do we do with this advice? Do we change our narrative or do we continue to go down the same path, continuing to make the same mistakes over and over again? Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In last night’s episode, “406,” Noah and Janelle continue to grow closer when they bond over Anton’s essay. Meanwhile, Alison meets an unexpected stranger and finds out the truth about Ben and her day continues get worse until she has a real conversation with the last person on earth you would think would be willing to help her. My top 5 moments from The Affair season 4 episode 6 are:

“He saved your life.”

Part two of the episode is from Alison’s perspective and she is visiting her mother, Athena, with Joanie while Cole is away. Alison notices that Athena gets upset after a short phone call and that her phone continues to ring. Curiosity eats away at Alison until she finally picks up the phone and is shocked to find out the identity of the person on the other line. Alison meets a man named James who claims he is her father. Alison is shocked by this revelation and explains that her mother said she never knew who her real father was. James reveals his side of the story to Alison and explains that he is the one who saved her life, putting some of the pieces together of her lost memory, which involved two strong hands pulling her out of the water. Alison realizes that the timing of this revelation is strange and asks her father, “why now?” James explains that his kidneys are failing and he is hoping that Alison can get tested to see if she would be a potential match as a donor. Before Alison can give a real answer to this request, she leaves the house, unable to process all of the information being thrown her way.

“Why did he reach out to you?”

Alison confronts her mother, Athena, and asks her why she kept this information from her. Athena is upset to find out that James contacted Alison and begins laughing hysterically when she finds out that he wanted a kidney. When Alison questions her mother further about this, she tells Alison the truth and explains that James raped her when she was nineteen and that she changed her name and moved away to protect her. Athena tells Alison that she doesn’t remember anything about him saving her and Alison is having trouble processing everything, as she desperately needs some kind of escape at this point. If James did not save Alison, it still makes us wonder about this memory she has locked away. It was clearly traumatic enough to be blocked, but will we find out the truth about what happened to her? Is it possible that James or his wife has something to do with Alison’s disappearance? The questions keep coming as new players are introduced to the mystery, but we will have to wait and see how it all unravels.

“Hey pot, I’m kettle. Nice to meet you.”

In part one, Anton approaches Noah and gives him an essay to look at, as he is now thinking about applying to Princeton again. Noah is clearly having an impact on Anton and he wants to loop Janelle into the conversation, as he recognizes how much potential her son has. Noah barges into Janelle’s office and interrupts a conference call with her supervisor. Noah tries to get involved further by talking to him and explaining that he’s “incredibly lucky to have her.” While this gesture is sweet and well intended, Noah is out of line and Janelle reminds him to knock next time. After Trevor refuses to go to the concert with Noah, he ends up at Janelle’s doorstep and the two discuss Anton’s essay and begin growing even closer. As fate would have it, just when they begin kissing, Anton and his father walk in the door and Noah finds himself out of place. Janelle thanks him for coming over and Noah is beyond polite to Anton’s father, but is Noah overstepping here? Noah is having trouble connecting to his own family and it looks like he has the chance to do so here, but something tells me that Anton’s father will not want Noah intervening any further. I was disappointed to see Noah and Janelle’s moment together interrupted, but it’s clear that sparks are continuing to fly, but how will Anton feel when he finds out that his teacher and mentor is into his mom?

“You look good for a felon.”

After Noah gets a phone call and rushes off to bail Alison out of jail, we jump to part two to learn about the events that led up to this. Alison tries to call Ben and she really needs to talk to him about everything she just learned about her father. Her emotions are overwhelming her and she makes the decision to drive down to his work, but is in for an unexpected surprise when she meets his wife at the office. Alison is stunned and walks out of there, desperately needing to just get away. She uses Noah’s gift card to take a flight to California, but trouble refuses to stay behind. Alison begins drinking and talking to the stranger next to her and it seems harmless enough until he begins touching her thigh and suggesting that they try out the mile high club. Alison throws her drink on the stranger and tries to get up, but bumps her head and accidentally pushes over an elderly woman. The misunderstanding begins to escalate and no one believes Alison when she tries to tell security that the man attacked her. Alison’s terrible day hits a new low when she winds up zip tied for the remainder of the flight while a young girl records her on her phone. #BadDay

“You can manifest your reality.”

After Noah bails Alison out of jail, they are in the car and she begins breaking down and tells Noah she feels like she can’t breathe. While it seems like Alison is having a panic attack, he rushes her over to Vik so he can make sure she is all right. Helen offers for Alison to stay the night and even Alison comments that “this is weird.” Alison turns to Helen, recognizing that perhaps she is the only person who can give her some real and honest advice. She asks her, “Why do men look at me and see someone they can fuck with? It’s like they can smell something on me.” Helen talks to her about “manifesting her reality,” and explains that “if there’s something in your life you want to change, you just need to think differently and it will change.” Alison seems doubtful at first, but Helen reminds Alison that she doesn’t always need to play the victim. She says, “If you don’t like the way men are treating you, change the story. Play a different character.” Helen’s words seem to really resonate with Alison and Helen reminds us why we love her so much when she tells Alison to tell Ben to “go fuck himself” and that it’s not OK for him to treat her like that. It’s no secret that Alison and Helen have a beyond complicated past and this moment is truly important, as Alison gets some much needed advice that is free of an ulterior motive. Helen has been going through her own issues and she reminds Alison that she is still young enough to change her story. Will Alison be able to do so, however? Either way, Alison genuinely appreciates Helen’s words. I have to admit that I never thought I would see these two bonding over anything, but this moment of clarity was extremely important for both Alison and Helen. Perhaps these two women can finally discover who they are and what they want without compromising themselves to please someone else. It’s about time. Stay tuned!

Ranking the top 5 moments from “The Affair” season 4 episode 5: “Take Care of your Mind, Body, and Soul”

Happy Monday TV fans! After watching Showtime’s The Affair last night, I learned that we sometimes have to go back to the past and walk in the steps of those before us in order to truly know which path to take for our own future. We may find answers to a mystery that we never even knew existed or realize that we have never made a single choice for ourselves, but what we do next can help determine who we are and who we can still become. We don’t have to travel across the country to find it, but sometimes we need to escape just for a little while to listen to our heart and find out what or who it truly desires. Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In last night’s episode, “405,” Cole journeys to Morro Bay, California to find out more about his father’s surfboard, but meets someone unexpected from his father’s past who will potentially change his future. Meanwhile, Vik feels like his whole world is crashing down around him, desperate to turn off the reality of his situation and live in the moment. My top 5 moments from The Affair season 4 episode 5 are:

“I can’t do it alone.”

Part one of the episode opens up with Vik and it was refreshing to see things from his perspective. Typically when we learn anything about Vik, it is from Helen’s eyes, so this was a nice change. Vik certainly has a lot on his plate, as he has just found out that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is looking for some way to give his short life meaning. After trying to talk to his parents, his father asks him, “Why do you have to be so cruel?” Vik is merely trying to let his parents know about his life insurance policy and prepare them for the inevitable, but they don’t want to hear the truth about his situation. Vik hopes to have better luck with Helen and is disappointed when the fertility doctor explains that their situation has not improved in order for Helen to have a baby. Helen admits that she has not been giving herself the shots as much as she should because she really doesn’t want to have a baby in a world without Vik. While one can understand where Helen is coming from, who already has four children, Vik is crushed by this and is angry that Helen has lied to him once again.

“I haven’t made a single choice for myself.”

After realizing that his day isn’t going to get any better, Vik decides not to return to work at the hospital and instead buys a fancy Porsche with no hesitation. After going off on his neighbor, Sierra, for leaving her garbage can out again, Sierra is distracted by his new shiny car and suggests that they take it for a ride. After testing out how fast the car can go, Vik gets pulled over and starts laughing when the cop tells him that they could have gotten killed. He blurts out that he has stage 4 cancer and the cop reminds him this isn’t the first time he has heard this from someone. Vik tells him, “so write me a ticket then,” not caring about the consequences of his actions, as Sierra is shocked to find out that that Vik is dying. Vik later returns to Sierra’s home and the two talk about their lives and Vik comes to the realization that every single choice he has made has been for his parents. He finally makes a decision for himself when he decides to sleep with Sierra, but will he be able to tell Helen what happened? Vik is all about living in the moment right now, but what happens when reality begins to set in again?

“I come with the room.”

In part two, Cole travels out to Morro Bay, California and meets the beautiful and mysterious, Delphine, played by the brilliant Phoebe Tonkin. Cole initially declines her forward advances, but eventually gives in to temptation after the two of them bond later in the episode. Cole recognizes that his affair with Delphine is fleeting and temporary and she is perfectly OK with that, explaining that Cole doesn’t need to apologize to her because it was something she wanted. Even though Cole will probably never see Delphine again, it’s clear that she has had an impact to him, opening his eyes to the truth that he kept hidden away for so long.

“You look so much like someone I used to know.”

Perhaps the biggest surprise for Cole is that he meets Nan, who is beyond shocked when Cole walks through the doors of the Perino Gallery. Cole discovers that Nan is the one who made his father’s surfboard and quickly learns that they also had an affair for a summer. Nan is very welcoming to Cole and has a free spirit charm that is endearing. She confides in Cole about his father and tells him that he was adventurous, which drastically differs from Cole’s own memories about his father, who he described as “emotionally depressed.” After revealing that his father died many years back, Nan is beyond upset. Cole realizes that their affair was not meaningless, as Nan truly loved his father. She shows Cole the love letters that she continued to write him for 10 years after he went back home and Cole starts to see everything with fresh new eyes. Nan explains that she thought of Cole’s father, Gabriel, as her soul mate and her destiny. She shows him that the symbol on his surfboard contains their initials, intertwined for eternity. You can see the love in Nan’s eyes when she talks about Gabriel, as she tells Cole that he called her “wild eyes” and said that he didn’t know that women like her existed in the world. Nan admits to Cole that they wanted different things and that she has no regrets, but that he had to return home because Cherry was pregnant and threatened to kill herself. Cole is shocked to learn this, but Nan explains that she tried to do an “exorcism” of sorts through letters to give Gabriel the opportunity to free himself from her and move on with his life.

“Take care of your mind, body, and soul.”

After learning about the “exorcism” that Nan describes, Cole takes this opportunity to try it out for himself and to use it on his own feelings for Alison. Nan reads each of the five letters to him, which are assigned with a task and asks Delphine to be his guide through this experience. The letters start off with tasks like finding something in nature that has the scent of the one you love and writing down everything you love about that person. It then escalates to burning these items along with the scent and stating out loud everything you hate that you associate with them. Cole finally allows his emotions and feelings to reach the surface and his words are beyond moving. He finally says that, “I hate that you gave up on me and I hate that I can’t give up on you.” Delphine reminds him to state his intention as he says these words and burns everything and he finally says, “I want to be free of you.” During Cole’s “exorcism” of his feelings for Alison, the song, “The Night We Met” by Lord Huron is playing in the background. If you have ever seen the show, “13 Reasons Why,” this is the song that played when Clay and Hannah danced together and it instantly tugs at your emotions and you will find yourself crying before you know it. You can listen to the song here. This song was the perfect soundtrack to Cole’s “exorcism,” as he allows himself to try and be free of Alison, but tells Nan the next day that he only feels worse and it didn’t work. Nan tries to tell him it worked for his father because the last task was to send back the letters and she has them. Cole looks closely at the postmark and tells Nan that his father never sent them, as it was postmarked two years after he died. He realizes that Cherry must have found them and sent them back to Nan, crushing her hope that Gabriel’s love for her still existed. Cole explains that his father hung himself on his 10^th birthday, just a couple of weeks after the last letter arrived.

This moment is heartbreaking, but Nan finally learns the truth that Gabriel’s love for her never burned out and Cole now understands that he is still in love with Alison and that he needs to tell her how he feels before it’s too late. Delphine tells Cole to “take care of his mind, body, and soul,” before he goes and Cole thanks his father, as he leaves Morro Bay behind. After watching this episode, I almost wish that part two was the entire episode, but I do think it is important that we saw what is going on with Vik as well. That being said, part two of the episode was so beautifully written and well executed and may have been one of the most beautiful moments I have ever seen on the show. Now that we know how Cole feels about Alison, will she return his love before it’s too late? Does Cole get a chance to tell Alison that he loves her before she goes missing? Ranking the top 5 moments from “The 100” season 5 episode 8: “Don’t you Talk to me About Pain”

Happy Thursday TV fans! After watching the CW’s The 100 season 5 episode 8 last night, I learned that we need to take responsibility for our actions and sometimes for the actions of those around us. Whether that means with our family or loved ones, it’s not always easy to turn against them, even if it is for their own good. Please note spoilers are ahead if you have not gotten a chance to watch the latest episode yet. In last night’s episode, “How We Get to Peace,” Bellamy refuses to let Clarke kill his sister, but quickly realizes that something has to be done before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Diyoza reveals her secret to Marcus, Raven finds out the truth about Abby, and Murphy reminds us why he is so good at surviving. My top 5 moments from The 100 season 5 episode 8 are:

“You give me hope.”

After Murphy attempts to trade McCreary for Raven, Diyoza realizes that this could be the answer to all of her problems. She explains to Marcus that if Murphy kills McCreary this would solve her internal problem and that taking out the “Red Queen,” Octavia, would solve her external issue at hand. Even though Diyoza explains that she is trying to work toward peace, Marcus reminds her that it seems like “we are trading one dictator for another.” Later on, Diyoza reveals to Marcus that she is pregnant and actually shows a softer side, after he tells her what the valley could look like once they actually try to settle down there and live there. She tells him, “you give me hope,” and Marcus suggests that it is a good name. Even though Diyoza has finally revealed a side of vulnerability and humanity, we know that she will stop at nothing to achieve her goal. But what will happen now that McCreary has made his way back to the valley? Will he threaten all that she has tried to accomplish?

“Let’s show them how to live.”

Monty tries working on using the algae to build up the farm near the bunker, but everyone else seems more fascinated with the war approaching and what their plan will be and who they will need to take out in order to achieve it. Monty breaks down to Harper and says, “I don’t want to take lives to save them.” Harper reminds him that “everyone dies,” but that they have the opportunity to show them how to live. In a heartwarming moment, Harper lets Monty know that when everyone marches off to war, she will stay behind with him and they can live together peacefully. And who said being a farmer was boring? It’s nice to get a gentle reminder of why we love Monty and Harper together so much. Even with all of the chaos and destruction going on around them, they worry about what’s truly important…each other.

“This is the John Murphy I fell in love with.”

After Diyoza doesn’t agree to Murphy’s terms, McCreary lets him know that he is willing to make a deal with him that will help him get Raven back. Murphy agrees, but Emori is not so sure that they can trust him. While she is absolutely right, Murphy recognizes that they “want the same thing, to survive.” The plan seems to be working so far at the end of the episode, when McCreary walks them into the camp as prisoners, but will he turn on Murphy as soon as he gets what he wants? Emori reminds Murphy that this is the man she fell in love with, but she is still hesitant to open her heart up to him again because she worries about what will happen afterwards when there is no threat to their survival. Will Murphy resort back to his old ways or is this path toward becoming the redeemed hero truly possible for him? We’ll have to stay tuned, but I have to admit that I absolutely agree with Emori and that this is the John Murphy who I fell in love with as well. Welcome back Murphy!

“Have you ever loved someone so much that no matter what they do to you or themselves, you take it?”

Abby begins making progress on finding a cure for Diyoza’s men, but soon realizes that she needs Raven’s engineering skills to make it a reality. After they are reunited, Raven tries to find out why Abby is helping them and asks if they are threatening her life. She soon discovers Abby’s addiction and refuses to help her. In an emotional moment, she says to Abby, “Don’t you talk to me about pain.” Raven has dealt with a lot of pain over the seasons, emotionally and physically, and it’s hard not to be sympathetic toward her here. Raven explains that she will not help Abby get her next fix, but Abby activates the collar to force her to help. Even though Abby says that she is sorry, it’s truly painful to watch this moment, as Raven loses her faith in the one person who has always been by her side. Later on, Echo reminds Raven that they will need to eliminate Shaw, but Raven is having doubts about going through with this as well. It’s clear that Raven has formed a connection to Shaw as she later asks him, “Have you ever loved someone so much that no matter what they do to you or themselves, you take it?” Shaw immediately recognizes that Raven is talking about a parent and she confides in him that her mother drank herself to death, which makes her moment with Abby even more heartbreaking. Shaw and Raven’s hands linger near each other, suggesting a shared moment here, as he answers her question and tells her that he has loved someone that way. Will Raven be able to follow through with the plan to eliminate Shaw or will she double cross Echo to protect him?

“My sister. My responsibility.”

Clarke tries to get Bellamy to see the big picture in an effort to protect Madi from Octavia, but Bellamy reminds everyone that “we are not killing my sister.” Octavia proves to be even more dangerous, however; when she doesn’t fall for their plan to stop the war by destroying the worms, when they take out Cooper in a gruesome way. They say that you have to sacrifice the few for the many, but this act made my skin crawl. When Octavia discovers Cooper’s body, she doesn’t believe that this is an accident and explains that they were actually using the eggs from the worms and takes Clarke away for treason. Clarke pleads with Bellamy to keep Madi safe and he promises her that he will, which brings even more hope to Bellarke fans everywhere. Later on, Octavia expects Bellamy to beg and reminds him that once again he is here to protect a traitor who he is in love with. When Bellamy doesn’t deny his feelings for Clarke, I was beyond ecstatic. But first we have to get her out of there alive for them to get a chance to see this through. Bellamy shows off his own skills and doses the rations they share with algae, which will put Octavia in a coma. He tells her that he loves her right before he does this, but he knows that this is the only way to help stop the war. Even though Octavia is not dead, Bellamy felt like he was the only one who could do this since she is his responsibility. Now that the Red Queen is out cold, what will be the next move of Wonkru? Will the need for a Commander expose Madi? We’ll have to wait 2 weeks for a new episode, but I can’t wait! Stay tuned!
